1Metals in water and surface sediments from Henan reaches of the Yellow River,China显示文摘The concentrations of Cd,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb and Zn were determined in the water and surface sediments from the Henan reaches of the Yellow River.Twenty-three sampling sites along the Yellow River and its tributaries were selected.Generally,metal concentrations were found to decrease in sequences of Zn>Cu>Pb>Cr>Ni>Cd in water and Zn>Cr>Pb>Ni>Cu>Cd in sediments.High levels of metal concentration were determined at a few stations of the river and its tributaries,such as Yiluo River,Si River and Qin River.The pollution of the Yellow River by Cd,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb and Zn can be regarded as much higher compared to the background values,US EPA criteria(1999) and China water quality criteria(2002) .For sediments,metal lev-els except Pb did not significantly exceed the average shale levels and backgrounds in several countries including China.Data analysis manifests that positive correlations were found between Cu,Ni and Zn in water,and Pb,Ni,Zn and Cr in sediments. The Pearson correlation coefficient analysis and Cluster analysis were provided to assess the possible contamination sources. The results indicate a general appearance of serious pollution along the banks of the Yellow River.The wastewaters discharged by the mine plants,smelter plants,power plants,battery plants,tannery plants,etc.,and sewage inputs from the cities along the river banks may be the sources of metals.Feng, JingLan Wang, GuoLiang Sun, JianHui Sun, ShengPeng Liu, XiangFu 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,5:5

10Highly efficient and selective removal of vanadium from tungstate solutions by microbubble floating-extraction显示文摘Selective separation of dissolved tungsten and vanadium is of great significance for the utilization of the secondary resources of these elements.In this work,selective removal of vanadium from tungstate solutions via microbubble floating-extraction was systematically investigated.The results indicated that vanadium can be more easily mineralized over tungsten from tungstate solutions using methyl trioctyl ammonium chloride as mineralization reagent under weak alkaline conditions.Owing to the higher bubble and interface mass transfer rates,high-efficiency enrichment and deep separation of vanadium could be achieved easily.Additionally,the deep recovery of tungsten and vanadium from the floated organic phase could be easily realized using a mixed solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium chloride as stripping agents.The separation mechanism mainly included the formation of hydrophobic complexes,their attachment on the surface of rising bubbles,and their mass transfer at the oil–water interface.Under the optimal conditions,the removal efficiency of vanadium reached 98.5%with tungsten loss below 8%after two-stage microbubble floating-extraction.Therefore,the microbubble floating-extraction could be an efficient approach for separating selectively vanadium from tungstate solutions,exhibiting outstanding advantages of high separation efficiency and low consumption of organic solvents.Hanyu Wang Shengpeng Su Yanfang Huang Bingbing Liu Hu Sun Guihong Han 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,5:0
11Analysis of the future trends of typical mountain glacier movements along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway based on ConvGRU network显示文摘The anomalous movements of glaciers cause disasters,such as debrisflows and landslides.It is very important to assess the glacier movements and their future trends.Glacier velocity refers to movement process.The current research aims to analyse past and current spatiotemporal changes in glacier velocity.No study has used neural network model to conduct a spatiotemporal prediction for glacier velocity.Therefore,this paper selected typical mountain glaciers G2 and G5 along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway as research objects and constructed the Convolutional Gate Recurrent Unit(ConvGRU)spatiotemporal prediction model based on 1988–2018 Landsat data to predict velocities in 2019–2028,and analysed the future trends of G2 and G5.The evaluation indexes met the model requirements to a large extent,quantitatively showing that the model has high accuracy and can successfully capture thefluctuation changes in time series data of glacier velocity.The mean deviations of G2 and G5 were 0.09 and-0.47 m/yr,respectively,reflecting the high reliability of the model applied to extraction of glacier velocity.The velocities of G2 and G5 showed a slow downtrend withfluctuations;that is,they will not cause damage to the construction and operation of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway in the short term.Yali Zhang Lifeng Zhang Yi He Sheng Yao Wang Yang Shengpeng Cao Qiang Sun 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:0
12A novel silver-doped nickel oxide hole-selective contact for crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells显示文摘Based on its band alignment,p-type nickel oxide(NiO_(x))is an excellent candidate material for hole transport layers in crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells,as it has a smallΔEV and largeΔEC with crystalline silicon.Herein,to overcome the poor hole selectivity of stoichiometric NiO_(x) due to its low carrier concentration and conductivity,silver-doped nickel oxide(NiO_(x):Ag)hole transport layers with high carrier concentrations were prepared by co-sputtering high-purity silver sheets and pure NiO_(x) targets.The improved electrical conductivity of NiO_(x) was attributed to the holes generated by the Ag^(+)substituents for Ni^(2+),and moreover,the introduction of Ag^(+)also increased the amount of Ni^(3+)present,both of which increased the carrier concentration in NiO_(x).Ag^(+)doping also reduced the c-Si/NiO_(x) contact resistivity and improved the hole-selective contact with NiO_(x).Furthermore,the problems of particle clusters and interfacial defects on the surfaces of NiO_(x):Ag films were solved by UV-ozone oxidation and high-temperature annealing,which facilitated separation and transport of carriers at the c-Si/NiO_(x) interface.The constructed c-Si/NiO_(x):Ag solar cell exhibited an increase in open-circuit voltage from 490 to 596 mV and achieved a conversion efficiency of 14.4%.Junfeng Zhao Xudong Yang Zhongqing Zhang Shengpeng Xie Fangfang Liu Anjun Han Zhengxin Liu Yun Sun Wei Liu 2024Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2024,18,2:0
13RESEARCH ARTICLE Open Access Investigating clinical characteristics and prognostic factors in patients with chronic osteomyelitis of humerus显示文摘Background:Chronic osteomyelitis in the humerus,which has complex neuroanatomy and a good soft tissue envelope,represents a unique clinical challenge.However,there are relatively few related studies in the literature.This article retrospectively reviewed a large case series with the aims of sharing our management experiences and further determining factors associated with the outcomes.Methods:Twenty-eight consecutive adult patients with a mean age of 36 years were identified by reviewing the osteomyelitis database of our clinic centre.The database was used to prospectively identify all osteomyelitis cases between 2013 and 2017,and all data then was retrospectively analysed.Results:The mean follow-up period was 35 months(range 24–60).The aetiology was trauma in 43%(12)of the patients and haematogenous in 57%(16)of the patients,and Staphylococcus aureus was a solitary agent in 50%(14)of the patients.Host-type(Cierny’s classification)was IA in 8,IIIB in 11 and IVB in 9 patients.All patients required debridement followed by the placement of a temporary antibiotic-impregnated cement spacer(rod).Seventeen patients received a cement-coated plate for internal fixation after debridement,and 13 patients needed bone grafts when the spacer was staged removed.All patients attained an infection-free bone healing state at the final follow-up.The final average DASH(disabilities of the arm,shoulder and hand)score was 18.14±5.39,while 6 patients(two developed traumatic olecranarthritis,four developed radial nerve injuries)showed the lowest levels of limb function(p=0.000)and were unemployed.Three patients(type I;significant difference between type I versus type III and type IV patients,p<0.05)experienced recurrence after debridement and underwent a second revision,which was not related to the bone graft(p=0.226)or plate fixation(p=0.050).Conclusions:Humeral chronic osteomyelitis can be treated with general surgery and anti-infective therapy;medullary(type I)infection presents a challenge,and the antibiotic-coated cement plate provides favourable fixation without increasing recurrence of infections.Clinicians should be aware of potential iatrogenic nerve injuries when treating these patients with complicated cases,and an experienced surgeon may improve the outcome.Hongri Wu Shengpeng Yu Jingshu Fu Dong Sun Shulin Wang Zhao Xie Yungui Wang 2019Burns & Trauma2019,7,1:0
