1Methane and nitrous oxide concentration and emission flux of Yangtze Delta plain river net显示文摘Methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) saturation concentration and gas-water interface emission flux in surface water of the Yangtze Delta plain river net were investigated in summer at representative sites including the upper reaches of the Huangpu River and the rivers in the Chongming Island. The results show that the CH4 concentration in river water ranged from 0.30±0.03 to 6.66±0.14 μmol.L-1, and N2O concentration ranged from 13.8±2.33 to 435±116 nmol.L-1. River surface water had a very high satura- tion level of CH4 (from 468±49.0% to 11560±235%) and that of N2O (from 175±29.5% to 4914±1304%). Dissolved oxygen (DO) was the primary factor controlling the CH4 concentration in water. N2O concentration had significant negative correlation with salinity and a significant positive correlation with nitrate (NO3-), nitrite (NO2-), chemical oxygen demand (CODcr) concentration and pH of river water. CH4 and N2O of river water were brought about mainly by methanogenesis and denitrification in river bottom sediment that diffused through sediment-water interface into the water body and then into atmosphere through the gas-water interface. The emission flux of CH4 and N2O at river gas-water interface reached 778±59.8 and 236±63.6 μmol.m-2.h-1, respectively in summer. 2Common-Ion Effect Triggered Highly Sustained Seawater Electrolysis with Additional NaCl Production显示文摘Developing efficient seawater-electrolysis system for mass production of hydrogen is highly desirable due to the abundance of seawater.However,continuous electrolysis with seawater feeding boosts the concentration of sodium chloride in the electrolyzer,leading to severe electrode corrosion and chlorine evolution.Herein,the common-ion effect was utilized into the electrolyzer to depress the solubility of NaCl.Specifically,utilization of 6M NaOH halved the solubility of NaCl in the electrolyte,affording efficient,durable,and sustained seawater electrolysis in NaCl-saturated electrolytes with triple production of H_(2),O_(2),and crystalline NaCl.Ternary NiCoFe phosphide was employed as a bifunctional anode and cathode in simulative and Ca/Mg-free seawater-electrolysis systems,which could stably work under 500 mA/cm^(2) for over 100 h.We attribute the high stability to the increased Na^(+)concentration,which reduces the concentration of dissolved Cl-in the electrolyte according to the common-ion effect,resulting in crystallization of NaCl,eliminated anode corrosion,and chlorine oxidation during continuous supplementation of Ca/Mg-free seawater to the electrolysis system.Pengsong Li Shiyuan Wang Imran Ahmed Samo Xingheng Zhang Zhaolei Wang Cheng Wang Yang Li Yiyun Du Yang Zhong Congtian Cheng Wenwen Xu Xijun Liu Yun Kuang Zhiyi Lu Xiaoming Sun 2020Research2020,,1:3
3Promoting electrochemical conversion of CO2 to formate with rich oxygen vacancies in nanoporous tin oxides显示文摘Defect engineering,especially oxygen vacancies(O-vacancies) introduction into metal oxide materials has been proved to be an effective strategy to manipulate their surface electron exchange processes.However,quantitative investigation of O-vacancies on CO2 electroreduction still remains rather ambiguous.Herein,a series of nanoporous tin oxide(SnOx) materials have been prepared by thermal treatment at various temperatures and reaction conditions.The annealing temperature dependent Ovacancies property of the SnOx was revealed and attributed to the balance tunning of the desorption of oxygen species and the continous oxidation of SnOx.The as-prepared nanoporous SnOx with 300℃treatment was found to be highest O-vacant material and showed an impressive CO2 RR activity and selectivity towards the conversion of CO2 into formic acid(up to 88.6%),and superior HCOOH incomplete current density to other samples.The ideal performance of the O-vacancies rich SnOx-300 material can be ascribed to the high delocalized electron density inducing much enhanced adsorption of CO2 with O binding and benefiting the subsequent reduction with high selectively forming of formic acid.Tengfei Gao Anuj Kumar Zhicheng Shang Xinxuan Duan Hangchao Wang Shiyuan Wang Shengfu Ji Dongpeng Yan Liang Luo Wen Liu Xiaoming Sun 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:2
4Synthesis of Polyphenylenes through Bergman Cyclization of Enediynes with Long Chain Alkyl Groups显示文摘Several new enediynes with long chain alkyl groups were synthesized through Sonogashira coupling reactions between long chain alkynes and(Z)-1,2-dichloroethene. These enediynes(1) were then subjected to thermal Bergman cyclization in a refluxing diphenyl ether bath under vacuum to obtain conjugated polyphenylenes with the weight-average molecular weights up to 4.9 × 103 g·mol·1. The occurrence of Bergman cyclization was confirmed by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and IR spectroscopic analysis. These polyphenylenes are fully soluble in common organic solvents and exhibit good thermal stability. The optical properties of the polyphenylenes were investigated by UV-Vis absorption and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopies. 6Circular RNA SMARCA5 suppressed non-small cell lung cancer progression by regulating miR-670-5p/RBM24 axis显示文摘Circular RNAs(circRNAs)have good stability and long half-life in blood and other body fluid,and possess regulatory effects on various biological processes as miRNA/RNA-binding protein sponges,or by competing endogenous RNA,indicating their great potential as biomarkers or targets of cancer therapy.In this study,we mainly explored the role and mechanism of circular RNA SMARCA5(circsSMARCA5)in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Quantitative RT-PCR was applied to measure the expression levels of genes,and then,the relationships among circsSMARCA5,microRNA-670-5p(miR-670-5p),and RBM24 were further analyzed.Animal and cell experiments were performed to explore the functions of circsSMARCA5 in NSCLC cells.The results showed that circsSMARCA5 was expressed at low level in NSCLC tissues and cells,while miR-670-5p had high level in NSCLC tissues.Dual luciferase reporter assay verified that miR-670-5p was the target of circsSMARCA5,and RBM24 has the binding site of miR-670-5p.Further analysis showed that circsSMARCA5 could negatively regulate miR-670-5p and had positive relationship with RBM24.Moreover,circsSMARCA5 obviously inhibited tumor growth in vivo,reduced cell proliferation and increased cell apoptosis in vitro,while miR-670-5p mimic or RBM24 knockdown could reverse these effects.Thus,circsSMARCA5 may serve as an NSCLC suppressor by regulating the miR-670-5p/RBM24 axis,and it may have the potential to be a biomarker or therapeutic target for NSCLC.Danjie Zhang Yuefeng Ma Zhenchuan Ma Shiyuan Liu Liangzhang Sun Jianzhong Li Feng Zhao Yu Li Jin Zhang Shaomin Li Jiantao Jiang 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,10:1
7Synthesis of Chiral Polyphenylenes through Bergman Cyclization of Enediynes with Pendant Chiral Amino Ester Groups显示文摘Chiral enediynes with pendant chiral amino ester groups are synthesized through Sonogashira reactions and subjected to thermal triggered Bergman cyclization at elevated temperatures either in bulk or in solvents to produce chiral polyphenylenes. The disappearance of enediyne monomers are evidenced by FTIR and NMR spectroscopies. The formation of polyphenylenes is further confirmed by UV-Vis and MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopies(MS). Isotope pattern analysis of the MS spectra shows that the polymers prepared in solvents are terminated by the solvent molecules, whereas the chain ends of the polymers prepared in bulk consist of considerable amount of unmasked free radicals, which is further confirmed by EPR analysis. Circular dichroism(CD) spectra of the chiral polymers show blue shifts of the Cotton peaks, indicating the occurrence of the cycloaromatization reaction. 9CeO_(x)-supported monodispersed MoO_(3) clusters for high-efficiency electrochemical nitrogen reduction under ambient condition显示文摘Developing efficient and low-cost electrocatalysts is essential for the electroreduction of N_(2) to NH_(3).Here,highly monodispersed MoO_(3) clusters loaded on a coral-like CeO_(x)compound with abundant oxygen vacancies are successfully prepared by an impregnation-reduction method.The MoO_(3) clusters with small sizes of 2.6±0.5 nm are induced and anchored by the oxygen vacancies of CeO_(x),resulting in excellent nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)performance.Additionally,the synergistic effects between MoO_(3) and CeO_(x)lead to a further improvement of the electrochemical performance.The as-prepared MoO_(3)-CeO_(x)catalyst shows an NH_(3) yield rate of 32.2 μg h^(-1) mg^(-1) cat and a faradaic efficiency of 7.04%at-0.75 V(vs.reversible hydrogen electrode)in 0.01 M Dulbecco’s Phosphate Buffered Saline.Moreover,it displays decent electrochemical stability over 30,000 s.Besides,the electrochemical NRR mechanism for MoO_(3)-CeO_(x)is investigated by in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.N-H stretching,H-N-H bending,and N-N stretching are detected during the reaction,suggesting that an associative pathway is followed.This work provides an approach to designing and synthesizing potential electrocatalysts for NRR.Jie Liu Guanghua Wang Shiyuan Zhou Sangui Liu Gen Li Hong-Gang Liao Shi-Gang Sun 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:1

11Positive Effects of Biochar on the Degraded Forest Soil and Tree Growth in China:A Systematic Review显示文摘Soil degradation threatens the forest sustainable productivity,particularly in afforestation system.Biochar derived from agroforestry waste or biomass can potentially improve the degraded forest soil and promote the tree growth.To expand the application of biochar for forestry productivity improvement,we here reviewed the effects and the underlying mechanisms of biochar on the degraded forest soil and tree growth.Totally 96 studies that conducted from pot to field investigations in China were summarized.The result suggested that biochar generally exerted positive effects on restoration of degraded forest soil such as that with compaction,acidification or soil erosion,which are mainly manifested by improving soil porosity,increasing pH,enhancing erosion resistance and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.Furthermore,biochar incorporation promoted the growth of tested trees in most cases,which effect was mainly attributing to directly supplying nutrients,improving soil physio-chemical properties,enhancing the root’s nutrient absorption capacity,and enlarging the living space.In summary,current studies demonstrate that biochar has a unique potential for improving degraded forest soils and promoting tree growth.However,investigations on the underlying mechanisms and the long-term effects should be strengthened.Jingkang Zhang Shiyuan Zhang Changhao Niu Jiang Jiang Haijun Sun 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,8:1

13Pore evolution and shear characteristics of a soil-rock mixture upon freeze-thaw cycling显示文摘The changes in pore structure within soil-rock mixtures under freeze-thaw cycles in cold regions result in strength deterioration,leading to instability and slope failure.However,the existing studies mainly provided qualitative analysis of the changes in pore or strength of soil-rock mixture under freeze-thaw cycles.In contrast,few studies focused on the quantitative evaluation of pore change and the relationship between the freeze-thaw strength deterioration and pore change of soil-rock mixture.This study aims to explore the correlation between the micro-pore evolution characteristics and macro-mechanics of a soil-rock mixture after frequent freeze-thaw cycles during the construction and subsequent operation in a permafrost region.The pore characteristics of remolded soil samples with different rock contents(i.e.,25%,35%,45%,and 55%)subjected to various freeze-thaw cycles(i.e.,0,1,3,6,and 10)were quantitatively analyzed using nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR).Shear tests of soil-rock samples under different normal pressures were carried out simultaneously to explore the correlation between the soil strength changes and pore characteristics.The results indicate that with an increase in the number of freeze-thaw cycles,the cohesion of the soil-rock mixture generally decreases first,then increases,and finally decreases;however,the internal friction angle shows no apparent change.With the increase in rock content,the peak shear strength of the soil-rock mixture rises first and then decreases and peaks when the rock content is at 45%.When the rock content remains constant,as the number of freeze-thaw cycles rises,the shear strength of the sample reaches its peak after three freeze-thaw cycles.Studies have shown that with an increase in freeze-thaw cycles,the medium and large pores develop rapidly,especially for pores with a size of 0.2–20μm.Freeze-thaw cycling affects the internal pores of the soil-rock mixture by altering its skeleton and,therefore,impacts its macro-mechanical characteristics.LiYun Tang ShiYuan Sun JianGuo Zheng Long Jin YongTang Yu Tao Luo Xu Duan 2023Research in Cold and Arid Regions2023,15,4:0

15An epidermal electrode based triboelectric walking energy harvester for wearable wireless sensing applications显示文摘Harvesting bio-kinetic energy using a triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG) is one of the promising routes to solve the sustainable energy supply problem for wearable electronics. However, additional materials, complex fabricating processes or specific mechanical structures are needed for existing TENGs to harvest bio-kinetic energy. Besides, they need to be tightly attached to the human body, which may result in detachment and malfunction under tense human motion. Herein, an intrinsic epidermal electrode-based TENG(E-TENG) is proposed to harvest human walking energy. The wearing shoes and ground are used as tribo-materials, and the human epidermis is used as the back electrode of the E-TENG. Compared with the traditional TENGs,the E-TENG does not need any additional tribo-materials and complex mechanical structures. Under optimal conditions, the voltage output of E-TENG can reach 914 V. E-TENG has been used as a self-powered warning sensor and pedometer sensor for demonstration. Furthermore, E-TENG based self-powered wireless sensor system has been developed using a newly designed micro energy electronic switch(MEES). 17Influence and related mechanism of Retn gene expression on glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 cells显示文摘The aim of this article was to investigate the influence and the related mechanism of the Retn gene on glucose uptake and insulin resistance in 3T3-L1 cells.Radioimmunoassay was used to determine glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 cells with different Retn gene expression levels,whether cells were stimulated by insulin or not.RT-PCR and real-time RT-PCR analysis were used to determine the mRNA levels of several glucose transport proteins in 3T3-L1 cells with different Retn gene expression levels,including insulin receptor substrate-1(IRS-1),phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI-3K),AKT-2,glucose transporter-4(GLUT-4),p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p38MAPK)and glycogen synthase kinase-3b(GSK-3b).The glucose uptake decreased with the increase in Retn gene expression in 3T3-L1 cells,which was independent of whether the cells were stimulated by insulin or not.The mRNA expression of two signal proteins PI-3K and AKT-2 decreased and the other two signal proteins,GSK-3b and p38MAPK,increased with Retn overexpression in 3T3-L1 cells.Resistin could induce insulin resistance in adipocytes,which might be related to the changes of some proteins in PI-3K and Ras pathways.LI Yahui LI Huaixing DONG Shiyuan YU Chao JIANG Yu SUN Shuhan 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,3:0
