1A methodology for 3D modeling and visualization of geological objects显示文摘Geological body structure is the product of the geological evolution in the time dimension, which is presented in 3D configuration in the natural world. However, many geologists still record and process their geological data using the 2D or 1D pattern, which results in the loss of a large quantity of spatial data. One of the reasons is that the current methods have limitations on how to express underground geological objects. To analyze and interpret geological models, we present a layer data model to organize different kinds of geological datasets. The data model implemented the unification expression and storage of geological data and geometric models. In addition, it is a method for visualizing large-scaled geological datasets through building multi-resolution geological models rapidly, which can meet the demand of the operation, analysis, and interpretation of 3D geological objects. 2Reduced function and disassembled microtubules of cultured cardiomyocytes in spaceflight显示文摘Lack of gravity during spaceflight has profound effects on cardiovascular system, but little is known about how the cardiomyocytes respond to microgravity. In the present study, the effects of spaceflight on the structure and function of cultured cardiomyocytes were reported. The primary cultures of neo- natal rat cardiomyocytes were carried on Shenzhou-6 spacecraft and activated at 4 h in orbit. 8 samples were fixed respectively at 4, 48 and 96 h after launching for immunofluorescence of cytoskeleton, and 2 samples remained unfixed to analyze contractile and secretory functions of the cultures. Ground sam- ples were treated in our laboratory in parallel. After 115 h spaceflight, video recordings displayed that the number of spontaneous beating sites in flown samples decreased significantly, and the cells in the beating aggregate contracted in fast frequency without synchrony. Radioimmunoassay of the medium showed that the atrial natriuretic peptide secreted from flown cells reduced by 59.6%. Confocal images demonstrated the time-dependant disassembly of mirotubules versus unchanged distribution and or- ganization of microfilaments. 3Circular RNA circCCNB1 inhibits the migration and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma through binding and stabilizing TJP1 mRNA显示文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a malignant tumor that usually occurs in people from Southeast Asia and Southern China.NPC is prone to migration and invasion,leading to poor prognosis.A large number of circular RNAs(circ RNAs)exacerbate the process of metastasis in NPC;however,their underlying mechanisms remain unclear.We found that the circular RNA circ CCNB1,encoded by the oncogene CCNB1,was downregulated in NPC biopsies and cell lines.In vitro assays show that circ CCNB1 inhibits NPC cell migration and invasion.Moreover,circ CCNB1 induces a protein,nuclear factor 90(NF90),to bind and prolong the half-life of tight junction protein 1(TJP1)m RNA.Upregulation of TJP1 enhances tight junctions between cancer cells and inhibits NPC cell migration and invasion.This study reveals a novel biological function of circ CCNB1 in the migration and invasion of NPC by enhancing the tight junctions of cancer cells by binding to NF90 proteins and TJP1 m RNA,and may provide a potential therapeutic target for NPC.Mengyao Zhao Yian Wang Fenghua Tan Lingyun Liu Xiangchan Hou Chunmei Fan Le Tang Yongzhen Mo Yumin Wang Qijia Yan Zhaojian Gong Zheng Li Qianjin Liao Can Guo He Huang Xi Zeng Guiyuan Li Zhaoyang Zeng Wei Xiong Fuyan Wang 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,11:4

7Crystal structure of the African swine fever virus core shell protein p15显示文摘African swine fever virus(ASFV)is the causative agent of African swine fever,a highly fatal hemorrhagic disease of pigs,which has resulted in great economic losses to the global pork industry,especially in Asia.ASFV particles are comprised ofmultiple layers encompassing the genomic DNA.Though the capsid structure has been determined,very little is known about the structure of the core shell.The precursor polyprotein pp62 is the structural component of the core shell that gives rise to the p35 and p15 proteins.Herein,we describe the crystal structure of p15 at a resolution of 2.2Å.The structure of p15 exhibits as a trimeric conformation that is mainly mediated by intermolecular disulfide bonds and supported bymultiple hydrogen bond interactions.The button conformation on the surface of adjacentmolecules may also play a role in trimeric formation of the ASFV p15.The center of the p15 trimer exhibits opposite electrostatic characteristics on each side.These findings benefit our understanding of ASFV core shell assembly and will aid in the design of antiviral drugs and vaccines.Kefang Liu Yumin Meng Yan Chai Linjie Li Huan Sun George F.Gao Shuguang Tan Jianxun Qi 2021Biosafety and Health2021,3,2:0
