| 1 | Tensile and Fracture Properties of 15 vol% SiC_p/2009Al Composites Fabricated by Hot Isostatic Pressing and Hot Extrusion Processes显示文摘15 vol% silicon carbide particle(Si Cp)-reinforced 2009 Al matrix(15 vol% Si Cp/2009Al) composites were fabricated by hot isostatic pressing(HIP) and hot extrusion processes. The tensile and fracture properties of 15 vol% Si Cp/2009 Al were studied. The results showed that hot extrusion increased the ultimate tensile strength(UTS), yield strength(YS), elongation(EL), reduction in area(RA), and fracture toughness of the composites. The heat treatment resulted in the increase in UTS, YS, and fracture toughness, but a decrease in EL and RA. Both hot extrusion and heat treatment had negligible effects on elastic modulus(E). With the increase of Si Cpsize, the UTS, YS, and E decreased, but the EL and RA increased. | 2 | Inspection of reinforced concrete interface delamination using ultrasonic guided wave non-destructive test technique显示文摘An ultrasonic-guided wave(UGW) is a very promising tool in the field of structural health monitoring and non-destructive test.Numerical analysis was used to simulate the propagation in the rebar and explore the characteristics of UGW in the steel rebar waveguide.Two-dimensional fast Fourier transform was used to process the numerical results and to evaluate the damage.Subsequently,different UGW test influence factors were investigated.The results clearly showed that both the group velocity and the amplitude of longitudinal modes were not very sensitive to stress and temperature variations.However,the received UGW signal energy decreased with the increasing concrete strength.Finally,the interface condition between the concrete and the rebar was investigated.Time-domain and frequency-domain analyses were used to process the received signals.Different interface delamination lengths of the UGW energy attenuation were analyzed and a relationship was obtained.This study successfully proved that UGW is an effective tool in the non-destructive test of reinforced concrete interface delamination. | LI DongSheng RUAN Tao YUAN JunHui | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,10: | 6 |

| 4 | Fouling community characteristics in subtropical coastal waters of the southwestern East China Sea显示文摘A fouling study was conducted in coastal waters southwest of the East China Sea between December 2013 and November 2014. A total of 84 species of fouling organisms belonging to 69 genera, 49 families, and 10 phyla were recorded over the entire year. The community composition was dominated by coastal warm-water species belonging to typical subtropical inner bay communities. The prosperous stage of settlement lasted from April to September, and the adhesion strength of the fouling organisms was the highest in summer. Sessile suspension feeders constituted the main core of settlement for the fouling community. Amphibalanus reticulatus was the most dominant and representative species of fouling organism, and other dominant species included Caprella equilibra, Ectopleura crocea, Anthopleura nigrescens, Stylochus ijimai, Spirobranchus kraussii, Crassostrea angulata, Perna viridis, Jassa falcata, Stenothoe valida, Sphaerozius nitidus, and Biflustra grandicella. The individuals in the fouling community showed a mutual dependence or constraint relationship due to competition for settlement space and food, and they exhibited a particular spatiotemporal distribution in accordance with adaptation to environmental factors. Temperature was the most important environmental factor determining the geographic distribution of fouling organisms. The temperature characteristics of species essentially reflect the differences in the fouling community composition in various climate zones. The species number, settlement stage, and settlement rate of fouling organisms are closely related to water temperature. | 11 | Comparison between Fermi detected and non-Fermi detected superluminal sources显示文摘Active galactic nuclei(AGNs) have been attracting research attention due to their special observable properties. Specifically,a majority of AGNs are detected by Fermi-LAT missions, but not by Fermi-LAT, which raises the question of weather any differences exist between the two. To answer this issue, we compile a sample of 291 superluminal AGNs(189 FDSs and 102 nonFDSs) from available multi-wavelength radio, optical, and X-ray(or even γ-ray) data and Doppler factors and proper motion(μ)(or apparent velocity(βapp));calculated the apparent velocity from their proper motion, Lorentz factor(Γ), viewing angle(Ф) and co-moving viewing angle(Фco) for the sources with available Doppler factor(δ);and performed some statistical analyses for both types. Our study indicated that(1) in terms of average values, FDSs have higher proper motions(μ), apparent velocities(βapp),Doppler factor(δ), Lorentz factor(Γ), and smaller viewing angle(Ф). Nevertheless, there is no clear difference in co-moving viewing angles(Ф∞). The results reveal that FDSs show stronger beaming effect than non-FDSs.(2) In terms of correlations:1) both sources show positive, mutually correlated fluxes, which become closer in de-beamed fluxes;2) with respect to apparent velocities and γ-ray luminosity, there is a tendency for the brighter sources to have higher velocities;3) with regard to viewing angle and observed γ-ray luminosity, logФ=-(0.23 ± 0.04)log Lγ+(11.14 ± 1.93), while for the co-moving viewing angle and the intrinsic γ-ray luminosity, logФ∞=(0.09 ± 0.01)log Lγ^in-(1.73 ± 0.48). | 12 | Spatial and Temporal Variations of Daily Ranges of the Geomagnetic Vertical Component in the Chinese Mainland显示文摘In this paper, we use the daily ranges of the vertical magnetic intensity of approximately 76 geomagnetic stations from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2010 to analyze the spatial and temporal characteristics of Z ranges. The results are summarized as follows: (1) Temporally, we use regressive analysis and FFT analysis to analyze the data. The results show that the Z component daily ranges of all stations have an obvious cyclical variation, the computed Fourier spectra of all data sets have clearly resolved the required periodicities in the data, in the form of distinct peaks at days 365, 183, 22, and 73, and the power spectra of day 365 is the highest in all periods. (2) In terms of spatial variation, the daily ranges show nonlinear variation with latitude in China. The results show the existence of a point of inflexion (maximal value point) nearby at about 25°N, the daily ranges of Z rise from 15°~25°N and have a good linear decrease variation along with 25°~50°N. (3) Compared with the spatial and temporal variations of Z daily ranges with the Sq current inversion, we found that the spatial and temporal characteristics of Z ranges are decided mainly by the spatio-temporal evolution of the Sq current system. (4) If the latitudes of the maximum amplitudes of variation of the vertical component in the geomagnetic quiet days are roughly taken as the latitudes corresponding to the foci of Sq overhead current system, we can see that these latitudes of foci become higher in summer, are lowest in winter and highest during Equinoxes, displaying conspicuous monthly and daily variations. | 14 | Origins,timing and introgression of domestic geese revealed by whole genome data显示文摘Background Geese are among the most important poultry species in the world.The current generally accepted hypothesis is that the European domestic geese originated from greylag geese(Anser anser),and Chinese domestic geese have two origins,most of which originated from swan geese(Anser cygnoides),and the Yili goose originated from greylag geese.To explain the origin and demographic history of geese,we selected 14 goose breeds from Europe and China and wild populations of swan and greylag geese,and whole genome sequencing data were obtained for 74 samples.Results Population structure analysis and phylogenetic trees showed that the wild ancestor of Chinese domestic geese,except for Yili,is the swan geese,and the wild ancestor of Chinese Yili and European domestic geese is greylag geese.Analysis of the demographic history suggests that the domestication of Chinese geese occurred~3499 years ago and that of the European geese occurred~7552 years ago.Furthermore,gene flow was observed between domestic geese and their wild ancestors.Analysis of introgression showed that Yili geese had been introgressed by Chinese domestic geese,and the body size of Yili geese may be influenced by introgression events of some growthrelated genes,including IGF-1.Conclusions Our study provides evidence for the origin of geese at the genome-wide level and advances the understanding of the history of goose domestication and the traits affected by introgression events. | Junhui Wen Haiying Li Huie Wang Jincheng Yu Tao Zhu Jinxin Zhang Xinghua Li Zhihua Jiang Zhonghua Ning Lujiang Qu | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,3: | 0 |

| 16 | New Activity of the Tanlu Fault Zone in the South of Huaihe to the Nvshanhu Segment since the Late Quaternary显示文摘Taking the Huaihe to the Nvshanhu segment of the Tanlu( Tancheng-Lujiang) fault zone as the main research target to explore whether there has been new activity since the late Quaternary,and based on the interpretation of remote sensing images and repeated surface investigations,we excavated trenches at the sections where the tectonic landform is significant,identified and recorded the deformation patterns of the fault and analyzed the activity behavior. Samples of new activity and deformation were collected and oriented slices were ground based on the samples ' original state to make the micro structural analysis and demonstration. All of the above research shows very clear linear tectonic geomorphology along the fault,three trenches across the fault zone all revealed new deformation traces since late Quaternary. The latest stratum dislocated by the fault is the late Quaternary and Holocene. The main slip mode is stick slip,as represented typically by fault scarps,wedge accumulation,the faults and the filled cracks and so on. In general,it shows the characteristics of brittle high-speed deformation and belongs to the prehistoric earthquake ruins. The above understanding was confirmed partially by microscopic analysis.
