12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). The present guideline includes the underlying diseases of syncope in children and adolescents, the diagnostic procedures, methodology and clinical significance of standing test and headup tilt test, the clinical diagnosis vasovagal syncope, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, orthostatic hypotension and orthostatic hypertension, and the treatment of syncope as well as follow-up.Cheng Wang Yaqi Li Ying Liao Hong Tian Min Huang Xiangyu Dong Lin Shi Jinghui Sun Hongfang Jin Junbao Du Jindou An Jie Chen Mingwu Chen Qi Chen Sun Chen Yonghong Chen Zhi Chen Adolphus Kai-tung Chau Junbao Du Zhongdong Du Junkai Duan Hongyu Duan Xiangyu Dong Lin Feng Lijun Fu Fangqi Gong Yonghao Gui Ling Han Zhenhui Han Bing He Zhixu He Xiufen Hu Yimin Hua Guoying Huang Min Huang Ping Huang Yujuan Huang Hongfang Jin Mei Jin Bo Li Fen Li Tao Li Xiaohui Li Xiaoyan Liu Yan Li Haitao Lv Tiewei Lv Zipu Li Luyi Ma Silin Pan Yusheng Pang Hua Peng Yuming Qin Jie Shen Lin Shi Kun Sun Jinghui Sun Hong Tian Jie Tian Cheng Wang Hong Wang Lei Wang Jinju Wang Wendi Wang Yuli Wang Rongzhou Wu Tianhe Xia Yanyan Xiao Chunhong Xie Yanlin Xing Zhenyu Xiong Baoyuan Xu Yi Xu Hui Yan Shiwei Yang Qijian Yi Xia Yu Xianyi Yu Yue Yuan Hongyan Zhang Huili Zhang Li Zhang Qingyou Zhang Xi Zhang Yanmin Zhang Zhiwei Zhang Cuifen Zhao Bin Zhou Hua Zhu 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,23:54
2The Reference Genome of Tea Plant and Resequencing of 81 Diverse Accessions Provide Insights into Its Genome Evolution and Adaptation显示文摘Tea plant is an important economic crop, which is used to produce the world's oldest and most widely consumed tea beverages. Here,we present a high-quality reference genome assembly of the tea plant(Camellia sinensis var.sinensis)consisting of 15 pseudo-chromosomes.LTR retrotransposons(LTR-RTs)account for 70.38%of the genome, and we present evidence that LTR-RTS play critical roles in genome size expansion and the transcriptional diversification of tea plant genes through preferential insertion in promoter regions and introns.Genes, particularly those coding for terpene biosynthesis pro-teins,associated with tea aroma and stress resistance were significantly amplified through recent tandem duplications and exist as gene clusters in tea plant genome.Phylogenetic analysis of the sequences of 81 tea plant accessions with diverse origins revealed three well-differentiated tea plant populations,support-ing the proposition for the southwest origin of the Chinese cultivated tea plant and its later spread to western Asia through introduction.Domestication and modern breeding left significant signatures on hundreds of genes in the tea plant genome, particularly those associated with tea quality and stress resis-tance.The genomic sequences of the reported reference and resequenced tea plant accessions provide valuable resources for future functional genomics study and molecular breeding of improved cul-tivars of tea plants.Enhua Xia Wei Tong Yan Hou Yanlin An Linbo Chen Qiong Wu Yunlong Liu Jie Yu Fangdong Li Ruopei Li Penghui Li Huijuan Zhao Ruoheng Ge Jin Huang Ali Inayat Mallano Yanrui Zhang Shengrui Liu Weiwei Deng Chuankui Song Zhaoliang Zhang Jian Zhao Shu Wei Zhengzhu Zhang Tao Xia Chaoling Wei Xiaochun Wan 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,7:51
3Characteristics and Morbidity of the Tuberculosis Epidemic--China,2019显示文摘Introduction:The year 2019 was crucial for the implementation of China’s National“13th 5-Year”Tuberculosis(TB)Control Plan.We conducted this study to evaluate the characteristics and progress towards controlling TB in China. Methods:We collected and analyzed the pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)data of China between January 1,2015 and December 31,2019 from the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS).Results:In 2019,there were 775,764 PTB cases reported in NNDRS,of which 349,307 were bacteriologically-confirmed(Bac+)cases.The PTB case notification rate(CNR)was 55.55 per 100,000,and the Bac+CNR was 25.01 per 100,000.From 2018 to 2019,the number of PTB cases fell by 6.3%,but the number of Bac+cases increased by 25.9%.The annual decrease in the rate of reported PTB was 3.4% from 2015 to 2019.The 5 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)with the highest PTB CNR were as follows:Tibet(182.38 per 100,000),Xinjiang(169.05 per 100,000),Qinghai(134.53 per 100,000),Guizhou(102.51 per 100,000),and Hainan(90.22 per 100,000).The rate of reported PTB was 74.84 per 100,000 for males and 35.40 per 100,000 for females. There were 8,116 cases(1.0%)among children aged 0–14 years, and 197,730 cases(25.5%)among adults aged 65 years and over.Of the reported cases,470,932 were farmers, which was the most common occupation at 60.7%.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:The TB epidemic has decreased dramatically year by year. Most PTB cases were in the central and western regions of China, and the high-risk groups were farmers and elderly people aged 65 years and over.Wei Chen Hui Zhang Xin Du Tao Li Yanlin Zhao 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,12:13
4Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system, the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation, this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector, while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant, and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking, while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew, reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating, traditional solid fuels were still dominant, with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas. In some non-typical heating zones, the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth, but in typical heating zones, the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased, except in areas with policy intervention. The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income, higher education, younger age, less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition.Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:4
5Underreporting of Notifiable Pulmonary Tuberculosis Cases to the National Tuberculosis Information Management System--China,2015显示文摘What is already known about this topic?Tuberculosis(TB)notification data and the underreporting rate are major sources used in estimating TB incidence.China’s TB Information Management System(TBIMS)was launched in 2005 but has not yet been evaluated for sensitivity. What is added by this report? The average underreporting rate of pulmonary TB to TBIMS in selected facilities was 8.23%.However,provincial TB or infectious disease-specific health facilities,or general health facilities had higher underreporting rates.Children, migrants, and drug resistant TB patients had higher chances to be underreported than other populations. What are the implications for public health practice?Underreporting surveys should be routinely implemented in the future. This will be vital for enhancing TB reporting and the transfer mechanisms in TB or infectious disease-specific hospitals,or general hospitals and improving the case information registration procedures in designated health facilities(DHFs).Tao Li Wei Chen Yanlin Zhao Lixia Wang Mingting Chen Xin Du Hui Zhang 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,12:4

10Recent Progress in Atmospheric Chemistry Research in China: Establishing a Theoretical Framework for the “Air Pollution Complex”显示文摘Atmospheric chemistry research has been growing rapidly in China in the last 25 years since the concept of the“air pollution complex”was first proposed by Professor Xiaoyan TANG in 1997.For papers published in 2021 on air pollution(only papers included in the Web of Science Core Collection database were considered),more than 24000 papers were authored or co-authored by scientists working in China. In this paper,we review a limited number of representative and significant studies on atmospheric chemistry in China in the last few years, including studies on(1)sources and emission inventories,(2)atmospheric chemical processes,(3)interactions of air pollution with meteorology, weather and climate,(4)interactions between the biosphere and atmosphere,and(5)data assimilation. The intention was not to provide a complete review of all progress made in the last few years, but rather to serve as a starting point for learning more about atmospheric chemistry research in China. The advances reviewed in this paper have enabled a theoretical framework for the air pollution complex to be established, provided robust scientific support to highly successful air pollution control policies in China, and created great opportunities in education, training, and career development for many graduate students and young scientists. This paper further highlights that developing and low-income countries that are heavily affected by air pollution can benefit from these research advances, whilst at the same time acknowledging that many challenges and opportunities still remain in atmospheric chemistry research in China,to hopefully be addressed over the next few decades.Tong ZHU Mingjin TANG Meng GAO Xinhui BI Junji CAO Huizheng CHE Jianmin CHEN Aijun DING Pingqing FU Jian GAO Yang GAO Maofa GE Xinlei GE Zhiwei HAN Hong HE Ru-Jin HUANG Xin HUANG Hong LIAO Cheng LIU Huan LIU Jianguo LIU Shaw Chen LIU Keding LU Qingxin MA Wei NIE Min SHAO Yu SONG Yele SUN Xiao TANG Tao WANG Tijian WANG Weigang WANG Xuemei WANG Zifa WANG Yan YIN Qiang ZHANG Weijun ZHANG Yanlin ZHANG Yunhong ZHANG Yu ZHAO Mei ZHENG Bin ZHU Jiang ZHU 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,8:2
11Evolution and modeling of mine water inflow and hazard characteristics in southern coalfields of China:A case of Meitanba mine显示文摘In this paper, the hydrogeological characteristics in the southern coalfields of China are first briefly outlined. Then, taking the Meitanba mine as an example, the evolution and modeling of mine water inflow are studied. Finally, the hazard characteristics related to mine water and mud inrush are analyzed. The results show that the main mine water sources in the Meitanba mine area are groundwater, surface water and precipitation. The evolution of mine water inflow with time indicates that the water inflow is closely related to the development of karst structures, the amount of water from rainfall infiltration, and the scope of groundwater depression cone. The mine water inflow increases with time due to the increase in mining depth and the expansion of groundwater depression cone.Using the big well method and following the potential superposition principle,a hydrogeological model considering multi-well interactions has been developed to predict the mine water inflow.Based on the monitored data in the Meitanba mine area over a period of nearly 60 years,it is found that with increasing mining depth, the number of water and mud inrush points tended to decrease. However, the average water and mud flow rate per point tended to increase.Jinhai Liu Yanlin Zhao Tao Tan Lianyang Zhang Sitao Zhu Fangyan Xu 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,3:2
12Guiding Tuberculosis Control Through the Healthy China Initiative 2019−2030显示文摘Tuberculosis(TB)is a global public health problem, especially in China.China has the third largest TB burden in the world with nearly 0.9 million new TB cases emerging annually.Despite impressive achievements,China still faces many challenges in TB control that threaten further progress and the ability to meet the targets of the End TB strategy if not addressed. On July 15,2019,the State Council of China issued Healthy China Initiative 2019-2030,which proposed 15 special campaigns including the Tuberculosis Control Action to guide the way for China’s TB prevention and control. This article introduces the current status of TB in China, achievements reached so far,and challenges remaining and interprets the targets and strategies from the individual, society, and government level in the Tuberculosis Control Action.Hui Zhang Xiaoqiu Liu Caihong Xu Dongmei Hu Xue Li Tao Li Yanlin Zhao Mingting Chen Jianjun Liu 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,49:2

15An investigation on microwave transmissivity at frequencies of 18.7 and 36.5 GHz for diverse forest types during snow season显示文摘Forests have invariably been considered as an obstacle in retrieving land surface parameters from spaceborne passive microwave brightness temperature(T_(B))observations.For quantifying the effect of forests on microwave signals, several models have been developed. However, these models rarely reveal the dependence of microwave radiation on forest types, which can hardly meet the needs of high-accuracy retrieval of terrestrial parameters in forested regions.A ground-based microwave radiometric observation experiment was designed to investigate the dependence of microwave radiation on frequency, polarization, and forest type.Downward TB at 18.7-and 36.5-GHz for horizontal-and vertical-polarization from the forest canopy was measured at 14 sample plots in Northeast China, along with snowpack and forest structural parameters.By providing fits to experimental data, new empirical transmissivity models for three forest types were developed,as a function of woody stem volume and depending on the frequency/polarization.The proposed models give diverse asymptotic transmissivity saturation levels and the corresponding saturation point of woody stem volume for different forest types.Root-mean-square error results between T_(B) simulations and Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-2 observations are approximately 3-6 K.This study provides an experimental and theoretical reference for further development of inversion models for snow parameters in forested areas.Wang Guangrui Li Xiaofeng Chen Xiuxue Jiang Tao Zheng Xingming Wei Yanlin Wan Xiangkun Wang Jian 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,10:1
16Effectiveness of the Integrated TB Surveillance System--China,2018-2019显示文摘What is already known about this topic?China’s national health information system provides important support and means for deepening the country’s medical and health reform, for improving relevant delivery services, for enhancing the level of scientific management of health, and for promoting the goal of basic medical and health services for everyone in China. What is added by this report? To further the construction of the national health information system, the National Center for Tuberculosis Control and Prevention of China CDC,started a pilot project for a new tuberculosis(TB)integrated health(iHealth)surveillance system, which was integrated with regional health information platforms. The goal was to explore automatic data exchange between hospitals and disease control facilities to reduce the workload of data-entry.What are the implications for public health practice? This pilot proved that data sharing and automatic exchanges between different information systems can be achieved through a unified surveillance dataset, which could provide a reference point for the construction of surveillance systems for other infectious diseases or for the entire public health information system.Ni Wang Tao Li Xin Du You Li Miaomiao Sun Shitong Huan Hui Zhang Lixia Wang Mingting Chen Fei Huang Yanlin Zhao 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,12:1
17Age-Specific Pulmonary Tuberculosis Notification Rates—China,2008–2018显示文摘What is already known about this topic? The incidence of tuberculosis(TB)was declining in China but has plateaued in recent years. What is added by this report?Notifications of pulmonary TB declined by 27.7%between 2008 and 2018,with an average crude decline of 3.4%per year and an average age-adjusted decline of 4.3%per year.Notifications decreased faster among older people, but slower in western China;the combination of trends led to an inflection in 2016 in the overall notification trend from decreasing to stable. What are the implications for public health practice?Population ageing and geographic disparities slowed tuberculosis control progress in China.Enhanced, targeted, and proactive responses are recommended to achieve the End TB targets.Tao Li Jun Li Xin Du Qiang Sun Lixia Wang Yanlin Zhao Fei Huang Ni Wang Kui Yang Wei Chen Hui Zhang 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,38:1
18The main and added effects of heat on mortality in 33 Chinese cities from 2007 to 2013显示文摘Increases in ambient temperatures and the frequency of extreme heat events constitute important burdens on global public health. However, evidence on their effects on public health is limited and inconclusive in China. In this study, data on daily deaths recorded in 33 Chinese cities from 2007 to 2013 was used to evaluate the effect of heat on mortality in China. In addition to the definition of a heatwave established by the China Meteorological Administration,we combined four city-specific relative thresholds(90th,92.5th,95th,and 97.5th percentiles)of the daily mean temperature during the study period and three durations of≽2,≽3,and≽4 days, from which 13 heatwave definitions were developed. Then,we estimated the main and added effects of heat at the city level using a quasi-Poisson generalized additive model combined with a distributed lag nonlinear model.Next, the estimates for the effects were pooled at the national level using a multivariable meta-analysis.Subgroup analysis was performed according to sex, age, educational attainment, and spatially stratified heterogeneity. The results showed that the mortality risk increased from 22.3%to 37.1%due to the effects of the different heatwave definitions. The added effects were much lower, with the highest increase of 3.9%(95%CI:1.7%–6.1%)in mortality risk.Females, the elderly, populations with low educational levels, and populations living inland in China were found to be the most vulnerable to the detrimental effects of heat. These findings have important implications for the improvement of early warning systems for heatwaves.Yanlin Niu Jun Yang Qi Zhao Yuan Gao Tao Xue Qian Yin Peng Yin Jinfeng Wang Maigeng Zhou Qiyong Liu 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,7:1
19A novel fine-resolution snow depth retrieval model to revealdetailed spatiotemporal patterns of snow cover in NortheastChina显示文摘Seasonal snow cover is a key component of the global climate and hydrological system,it has drawn considerable attention under global warming conditions.Although several passive microwave(PMW)snow depth(SD)products have been developed since the 1970s,they inherit noticeable errors and uncertainties when representing spatial distributions and temporal changes of SD,especially in complex mountainous regions. In this paper,we developed afine-resolution SD retrieval model(FSDM)using machine learning to improve SD estimation quality for Northeast China and produced a long-term,fine-resolution,daily SD dataset. The accuracies of the FSDM dataset were evaluated against in-situ SD data along with existing SD products. The results showed the FSDM dataset provided satisfactory inversion accuracy in spatiotemporal evaluation, with the root-mean-square error(RMSE),bias, and correlation coefficient(R)of 7.10 cm,-0.13 cm,and 0.60.Additionally,we analyzed the spatiotemporal variations of SD in Northeast China and found that snow cover was mainly distributed in the Greater Khingan Range,Lesser Khingan Mountains, and Changbai Mountain regions. The SD exhibited high-low distribution patterns with the increased latitude. The annual mean SD slightly increased at the rate of 0.029 cm/year during 1987-2018.Yanlin Wei Xiaofeng Li Lingjia Gu Xingming Zheng Tao Jiang 2023International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1:1
