1Retroperitoneal hematoma after implantation of double inferior vena cava filters显示文摘A 55-year-old man developed deep venous thrombosis and inferior vena cava(IVC) thrombosis 7 years earlier and was treated by placement of a permanent IVC filter. One week ago, he was admitted with bilateral lower limb swelling and pain. Digital subtraction angiography showed a filling defect above the original filter. A retrievable Tulip filter was placed and catheter-directed thrombolysis was performed. Six days later, the patient experienced sudden, persistent upper right abdominal pain, and a computed tomography scan revealed the formation of retroperitoneal hematoma. Symptomatic treatments were administered, and the hematoma gradually resolved during follow-up.Yulong Tian Hongshan Zhong Wei Zhang 2018Journal of Interventional Medicine2018,1,4:5
2Homeobox B8 Targets Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing Protein 9 and Drives Glioma Progression显示文摘Gliomas are the most commonly occurring tumors of the central nervous system. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant and aggressive brain cancer in adults. Further understanding of the mechanisms underlying the aggressive nature of GBM is urgently needed. Here we identified homeobox B8(HOXB8), a member of the homeobox family, as a crucial contributor to the aggressiveness of GBM. Data mining of publicly accessible RNA sequence datasets and our patient cohorts confirmed a higher expression of HOXB8 in the tumor tissue of GBM patients, and a strong positive correlation between the expression level and pathological grading of tumors and a negative correlation between the expression level and the overall survival rate. We next showed that HOXB8 promotes the proliferation and migration of glioblastoma cells and is crucial for the activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway and expression of epithelial–mesenchymal transition-related genes, possibly through direct binding to the promoter of SAMD9 (Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing Protein 9) and activating its transcription. Collectively, we identified HOXB8 as a critical contributor to the aggressiveness of GBM, which provides insights into a potential therapeutic target for GBM and opens new avenues for improving its treatment outcome.Wenping Ma Hongze Jin Wenjie Liu Xiaojuan Li Xingang Zhou Xinwu Guo Runfa Tian Qi Cui Junjie Luo Yueying Jiao Youtao Yu Haifeng Yang Hongshan Zhao 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,4:2
3Metal-ligand coordinated Ca(DS)_2/C_(14)DMAO/H_2O system:Phase behavior and rheological property显示文摘A metal-ligand coordinated surfactant system formed by calcium dodecylsulfate(Ca(DS)2)/tetradecyldimethylamine oxide (C14DMAO)/H2O was studied in terms of surface tension,conductivity,negative-staining TEM,phase behavior and rheological operation. In C14DMAO solution, when Ca(DS)2 is added,metal-ligand complexes form between the Ca 2+and N→O group of C14DMAO.Under this metal-ligand driving force, different phases can be obtained at different concentrations and different ratios of Ca(DS)2 and C14DMAO.At the fixed C14DMAO concentration,L1-phase consisting of spherical micelles forms at first. With the addition of Ca(DS)2,the spherical micelles elongate to be wormlike micelles and then after an L1/L-two phase region, the birefringent vesicle-phase(Lv-phase)region is observed. When Ca(DS)2 concentration continues to increase,a gel-phase region is found after the Lv-phase region and then precipitates of undissolved Ca(DS)2 appear. The transition between different phases is affected by temperature remarkably. The wormlike micellar solutions and vesicle solutions were checked by rheological measurements and showed apparent viscoelasticity at high surfactant concentrations.LI Xiang TIAN HongShan DING Qi SONG AiXin 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,3:0
4Mass spectrometry imaging and single-cell transcriptional profiling reveal the tissue-specific regulation of bioactive ingredient biosynthesis in Taxus leaves显示文摘Taxus leaves provide the raw industrial materials for taxol,a natural antineoplastic drug widely used in the treatment of various cancers. However, the precise distribution, biosynthesis, and transcriptional regulation of taxoids and other active components in Taxus leaves remain unknown.Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization–mass spectrometry imaging analysis was used to visualize various secondary metabolites in leaf sections of Taxus mairei, confirming the tissue-specific accumulation of different active metabolites.Single-cell sequencing was used to produce expression profiles of 8846 cells, with a median of 2352 genes per cell.Based on a series of cluster-specific markers, cells were grouped into 15 clusters, suggesting a high degree of cell heterogeneity in T.mairei leaves. Our data were used to create the first Taxus leaf metabolic single-cell atlas and to reveal spatial and temporal expression patterns of several secondary metabolic pathways.According to the cell-type annotation, most taxol biosynthesis genes are expressed mainly in leaf mesophyll cells;phenolic acid and flavonoid biosynthesis genes are highly expressed in leaf epidermal cells(including the stomatal complex and guard cells);and terpenoid and steroid biosynthesis genes are expressed specifically in leaf mesophyll cells.A number of novel and cell-specific transcription factors involved in secondary metabolite biosynthesis were identified, including MYB17,WRKY12,WRKY31,ERF13,GT_2,and bHLH46.Our research establishes the transcriptional landscape of major cell types in T.mairei leaves at a single-cell resolution and provides valuable resources for studying the basic principles of cell-type-specific regulation of secondary metabolism.Xiaori Zhan Tian Qiu Hongshan Zhang Kailin Hou Xueshuang Liang Cheng Chen Zhijing Wang Qicong Wu Xiaojia Wang Xiao-lin Li Mingshuang Wang Shangguo Feng Houqing Zeng Chunna Yu Huizhong Wang Chenjia Shen 2023Plant Communications2023,4,5:0
