1A Brief Overview of ChatGPT:The History,Status Quo and Potential Future Development显示文摘ChatG PT,an artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC) model developed by OpenAI,has attracted worldwide attention for its capability of dealing with challenging language understanding and generation tasks in the form of conversations.This paper briefly provides an overview on the history,status quo and potential future development of ChatGPT,helping to provide an entry point to think about ChatGPT.Specifically,from the limited open-accessed resources,we conclude the core techniques of ChatGPT,mainly including large-scale language models,in-context learning,reinforcement learning from human feedback and the key technical steps for developing ChatGPT.We further analyze the pros and cons of ChatGPT and we rethink the duality of ChatGPT in various fields.Although it has been widely acknowledged that ChatGPT brings plenty of opportunities for various fields,mankind should still treat and use ChatG PT properly to avoid the potential threat,e.g.,academic integrity and safety challenge.Finally,we discuss several open problems as the potential development of ChatGPT.Tianyu Wu Shizhu He Jingping Liu Siqi Sun Kang Liu Qing-Long Han Yang Tang 2023IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2023,10,5:18
2Screening cytokine/chemokine profiles in serum and organs from an endotoxic shock mouse model by LiquiChip显示文摘Studying the cytokine profiles in animal models or patients with sepsis provides an experimental basis for the identification of diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this study, we used a liquid protein chip(LiquiChip), also known as flexible multi-analyte profiling technology, to perform quantitative analyses of several cytokines and chemokines(e.g., IL-1β,IL-2,IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12, TNF-α, IFN-γ, granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, keratinocyte chemoattractant,monocyte chemoattractant protein, monokine induced by gamma interferon, IFN-y-inducible protein 10, and macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha). The levels of these cytokines and chemokines were determined both in the blood and in tissues,including the lung, liver, heart, kidney, spleen, brain, stomach, intestine and muscle, of mice challenged with LPS. Our data showed variable production levels of LPS-induced cytokines in different mouse organs, and the cytokine in the blood did not correlate with those in the organs. We also showed that the levels of most cytokines peaked within 1 to 6 h and decreased rapidly afterward. A variety of inflammatory cytokines might be related to the damage in different organs during septic shock. 3Oomycetes and fungi:important parasites on marine algae显示文摘Considering that the field is largely unexplored and its importance to aquaculture,outline of oomycetes and fungi parasiting on marine algae was provided in this paper,including 15 species of oomycetes,six species of chytrids,31 Ascomycota species and one species of mitosporic fungi.In natrue,both the oomycetes and chytrids frequently occurred and induced prevalences of disease which could destroy the populations of host plants greatly.However,the parasites in Ascomycota on algae have never occurred as epidemics so far.Some issues relating to the field were discussed such as performing tests to satisfy Koch's postulates,investigations of host specificity,interactions between host and parasite and the potential effects of environmental factors on occurrence of a disease,which are urgent in need of further investigations.LI Wei ZHANG Tianyu TANG Xuexi WANG Bingyao 2010Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,5:3
4Advantages of targeting the tumor immune microenvironment over blocking immune checkpoint in cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Despite great success in cancer immunotherapy,immune checkpoint-targeting drugs are not the most popular weapon in the armory of cancer therapy.Accumulating evidence suggests that the tumor immune microenvironment plays a critical role in anticancer immunity,which may result in immune checkpoint blockade therapy being ineffective,in addition to other novel immunotherapies in cancer patients.In the present review,we discuss the deficiencies of current cancer immunotherapies.More importantly,we highlight the critical role of tumor immune microenvironment regulators in tumor immune surveillance,immunological evasion,and the potential for their further translation into clinical practice.Based on their general targetability in clinical therapy,we believe that tumor immune microenvironment regulators are promising cancer immunotherapeutic targets.Targeting the tumor immune microenvironment,alone or in combination with immune checkpoint-targeting drugs,might benefit cancer patients in the future.Tianyu Tang Xing Huang Gang Zhang Zhengtao Hong Xueli Bai Tingbo Liang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:3
5Microstructural evolution and energetic characteristics of TiZrHfTa_(0.7)W_(0.3)high-entropy alloy under high strain rates and its application in high-velocity penetration显示文摘Energetic structural materials(ESMs)integrated a high energy density and rapid energy release with the ability to serve as structural materials.Here,a novel triple-phase TiZrHfTa_(0.7)W_(0.3)high-entropy alloy(HEA)was fabricated and investigated as a potential ESM.A hierarchical microstructure was obtained with a main metastable body-centered-cubic(BCC)matrix with distributed Ta-W-rich BCC precipitates of various sizes and interwoven hexagonal close-packed(HCP)lamellar nano-plates.The compressive me-chanical properties were tested across a range of strain rates and demonstrated a brittle-to-ductile tran-sition as the strain rate increased while maintaining a high ultimate strength of approximately 2.5 GPa.This was due to the phase transformation from metastable matrix BCC to HCP structures.In addition,during the dynamic deformation,metal combustion originating from the failure surface was observed.Furthermore,the composition of the fragments was studied,and the results indicated that the addition of tungsten promoted combustion.Finally,the potential application of this HEA was evaluated by high-velocity penetration tests,and the results were compared to other typical structural materials for pene-trators and bullets.A comparison was conducted by assessing the geometries of the penetration channel employing two dimensionless parameters normalized by the projectile size,representing longitudinal and lateral damage,respectively.The normalized depth of the TiZrHfTa_(0.7)W_(0.3)HEA projectile was comparable to those of the other investigated materials,but the normalized diameter was the largest,showing an excellent ability to deliver lateral damage.Weiqi Tang Kun Zhang Tianyu Chen Qiu Wang Bingchen Wei 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,1:3

73D dahlia-like NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem coordinating with 2D/2D interface for efficient and selective conversion of CO_(2)显示文摘Developing photocatalyst with high activity,superior stability and prominent selectivity for CO_(2)conversion is of great importance for the target of carbon neutralization.Herein,3 D dahlia-like NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem is developed through in-situ decoration of exfoliated CdS nanosheets on the scaffold of NiAl-LDH and the on-spot self-assembly.The formation of a hierarchical architecture collaborating with well-defined 2 D/2 D interfacial interaction is constructed by optimizing the ratio of CdS integrated in the formation of the heterojunction.The light-harvesting capacity of NiAl-LDH/CdS is improved by this unique scaffold,and the charge transfer between NiAl-LDH and CdS is effectively facilitated by virtue of the unique 2 D/2 D interface.As a result,the 3 D hierarchical NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem presents 12.45μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)of CO production(3.3 and 1.6 folds of pristine NiAl-LDH and CdS) with 96% selectivity and superior stability.This 3 D hierarchical design collaborating with 2 D/2 D interfacial interaction provides a new avenue to develop ideal catalysts for artificial photosynthesis.Xiaoyue Zhang Yong Yang Lijun Xiong Tianyu Wang Zheng Tang Panjie Li Nan Yin Aiwu Sun Jinyou Shen 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4:2
8Optimization of a precise integration method for seismic modeling based on graphic processing unit显示文摘General purpose graphic processing unit(GPU) calculation technology is gradually widely used in various fields.Its mode of single instruction,multiple threads is capable of seismic numerical simulation which has a huge quantity of data and calculation steps.In this study,we introduce a GPU-based parallel calculation method of a precise integration method(PIM) for seismic forward modeling.Compared with CPU single-core calculation,GPU parallel calculating perfectly keeps the features of PIM,which has small bandwidth,high accuracy and capability of modeling complex substructures,and GPU calculation brings high computational efficiency,which means that high-performing GPU parallel calculation can make seismic forward modeling closer to real seismic records.Jingyu Li Genyang Tang Tianyue Hu 2010Earthquake Science2010,23,4:2

12A novel luciferase immunosorbent assay performs better than a commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to detect MERS-CoV specific IgG in humans and animals显示文摘The Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS)is a lethal zoonosis caused by MERS coronavirus(MERS-CoV)and poses a significant threat to public health worldwide.Therefore,a rapid,sensitive,and specific serologic test for detecting anti-MERS-CoV antibodies in both humans and animals is urgently needed for the successful management of this illness.Here,we evaluated various novel luciferase immunosorbent assays(LISA)based on nucleocapsid protein(NP)as well as fragments derived from spike protein(S)including subunit 1(S1),N terminal domain(NTD),receptorbinding domain(RBD)and subunit 2(S2)of S for the detection of MERS-CoV-specific IgG.Fusion proteins,including nanoluciferase(NLuc)and various fragments derived from the NP or S protein of MERS-CoV,were expressed in human embryonic kidney 293 T cells.LISAs that detected anti-MERS-CoV IgG were further developed using cell lysates expressing various fusion proteins.Panels of human or animal samples infected with MERS-CoV were used to analyze the sensitivity and specificity of various LISAs in reference to a MERS-CoV RT-PCR,commercial S1-based ELISA,and pseudovirus particle neutralization test(ppNT).Our results showed that the S1-,RBD-,and NP-LISAs were more sensitive than the NTD-and S2-LISAs for the detection of anti-MERS-CoV IgG.Furthermore,the S1-,RBD-,and NP-LISAs were more sensitive(by at least 16-fold)than the commercially available S1-ELISA.Moreover,the S1-,RBD-,and NPLISA specifically recognized anti-MERS-CoV IgG and did not cross-react with samples derived from other human CoV(OC43,229E,HKU1,NL63)-infected patients.More importantly,these LISAs proved their applicability and reliability for detecting anti-MERS-CoV IgG in samples from camels,monkeys,and mice,among which the RBD-LISA exhibited excellent performance.The results of this study suggest that the novel MERS-CoV RBD-and S1-LISAs are highly effective platforms for the rapid and sensitive detection of anti-MERS-CoV IgG in human and animal samples.These assays have the potential to be used as serologic tests for the management and control of MERS-CoV infection.Wenling Wang Tianyu Wang Yao Deng Peihua Niu Ruhan A Jincun Zhao Malik Peiris Shixing Tang Wenjie Tan 2019Biosafety and Health2019,1,3:1

20Evaluation and Projection of Extreme High Temperature Indices in Southwestern China Using NEX-GDDP-CMIP6显示文摘Based on the recently released NASA Earth Exchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections(NEX-GDDP)Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6) dataset and the gridded observational daily dataset CN05.1, this study evaluates the performance of 26 CMIP6 models in simulating extreme high temperature(EHT) indices in southwestern China and estimates future changes in the EHT indices under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSPs) SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, and SSP5-8.5 using 11 optimal CMIP6 models. Five EHT indices are employed:annual maximum value of daily maximum temperature(TXX), high temperature days(T35), warm days(TX90P),heat wave frequency(HWF), and heat wave days(HWD). The main results are as follows.(1) NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 is highly capable of simulating the spatial patterns of TXX and T35 in southwestern China but it presents a weaker ability to simulate the spatial patterns of TX90P, HWF, and HWD.(2) The simulated time series of T35, TX90P, HWF,and HWD in southwestern China exhibit consistent upward trends with the observations. The linear trends of increase in TX90P and HWD are much greater than those of increase in TXX, T35, and HWF.(3) The estimated increases in TXX and T35 in southwestern China are significantly greater in Chongqing and the adjacent areas of Sichuan than in the other regions. Spatial distributions of the increases in TX90P, HWF, and HWD generally show higher values in the west and lower values in the east.(4) In the three different scenarios, the projected future TXX,T35, TX90P, and HWD in southwestern China all display a continuous increase with time and radiative forcing levels, whereas HWF initially increases but then decreases under the SSP5-8.5 scenario. By the end of the 21st century, under the SSP5-8.5 scenario, TXX and T35 are projected to increase by 6.0℃ and 45.0 days, respectively.
