| 1 | Treatment modalities for early gastric cancer显示文摘Different treatment modalities have been proposed in the treatment of early gastric cancer(EGC). Endoscopic resection(ER) is an established treatment that allows curative treatment, in selected cases. In addition, ER allows for an accurate histological staging, which is crucial when deciding on the best treatment option for EGC. Recently, endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) have become alternatives to surgery in early gastric cancer, mainly in Asian countries. Patients with 'standard' criteria can be successfully treated by EMR techniques. Those who meet 'expanded' criteria may benefit from treatment by ESD, reducing the need for surgery. Standardized ESD training system is imperative to promulgate effective and safe ESD technique to practices with limited expertise. Although endoscopic resection is an option in patients with EGC, surgical treatment continues to be a widespread therapeutic option worldwide. | 2 | Influence of flooding and vegetation on carbon,nitrogen,and phosphorus dynamics in the pore water of a Spartina alterniflora salt marsh显示文摘Four sites were selected in a salt marsh in the Bah' a Blanca Estuary (Argentina):(1) low marsh (flooded by the tide twice daily) vegetated by S.alterniflora;(2) non-vegetated low marsh;(3) high marsh (flooded only in spring tides) vegetated by S.alterniflora;(4) non-vegetated high marsh.The pH and Eh were measured in sediments,while dissolved nutrients (ammonium,nitrate,nitrite and phosphate) and particulate organic matter (POM) were determined in pore water.pH (6.2-8.7) was only affected by vegetation in low areas.Eh (from-300 to 250 mV) was lower at low sites than at high ones;in the latter,the values were higher in the non-vegetated sediments.The POM concentration was greater in the high marsh than in the low marsh,with no effect of vegetation.Ammonium was the most abundant nitrogen nutrient species in pore water,except in the non-vegetated high marsh where nitrate concentration was higher.All nitrogen nutrients were affected by both flooding and vegetation.Phosphate was always present in pore water at all sites throughout the year and its concentration varied within narrow limits,with no effect of flooding and greater values always at non-vegetated sites.Our results showed that the variability of the pore water composition within the marsh is greater than the temporal variation,meaning that both tidal flooding and vegetation are important in the dynamics of nutrients and organic matter in the sediment pore water. | Vanesa L.Negrin Carla V.Spetter Raúl O.Asteasuain Gerardo M.E.Perillo Jorge E.Marcovecchio | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011，23，2： | 11 |
| 3 | Pregnancies established through intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) using spermatozoa with dysplasia of fibrous sheath显示文摘Aim: Dysplasia of the fibrous sheath (DFS) is an anomaly found in asthenozoospermic patients with extremely low or absent motility. In order to determine the efficacy of ICSI in these patients, a retrospective analysis of ICSI results in DFS patients has been done. Methods: Ten ICSI attempts were performed in 6 patients with diagnosis of Dysplasia of the Fibrous Sheath studied by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. Results: In the cases studied, sperm concentration was (29.62 _+ 18.05) x 106/mL, total motility was 1.14 _+ 1.31%. Progressive motility was 0% except for one case with 0.1%. One hundred and three preovulatory oocytes were obtained and 94 metaphase 11 oocytes were injected. Sixty-nine of them showed two pronuclei (fertilization rate: 73.4% ). Forty-nine embryos were obtained and 34 were transferred (mean: 3.4 embryos per transfer). Five pregnancies were diagnosed by β-hCG plasma level determinations that resulted to be one preclinical abortion, one clinical abortion and three deliveries. Another pregnancy (ongoing) was achieved from a cryopreserved embryo transfer. Conclusion: These results showed that ICSI provides a suitable solution for patients suffering from irreversible sperm defects such as DFS. Nevertheless, it is mandatory to inform couples of possible transmission risks to offspring, which are unknown at present. | 7 | Effect of ketotifen fumarate on experimental autoimmune orchitis and torsion of the spermatic cord显示文摘The aim of this work was to study effects of ketotifen fumarate(KF)on prevention of tissue damage in testes of rats with experimental autoimmune orchitis(EAO)and on the contralateral testis in a model of prolonged testicular cord torsion(TCT).Rats with EAO or TCT were injected intraperitoneally once daily with KF or saline solution(vehicle group).Incidence and severity of testicular damage were evaluated by histopathology using an EAO score or a Johnsen score.Mast cells(MC)were identified by histochemistry and quantified.In EAO model,KF significantly reduced severity of histopathological testicular damage compared to rats in the vehicle group.KF also reduced the number of testicular MC compared to vehicle group.Similarly,in TCT model,multifocal damage of the contralateral testis was observed 30 days after testicular torsion characterized by sloughing of the germinal epithelium,seminiferous tubule atrophy,and interstitial edema.Focal signs of inflammation and fibrosis of seminiferous tubular walls were also observed.In contrast,sections of contralateral testis of rats injected with KF and killed 30 days after surgery showed normal histological features.A significant decrease in the number of MC was observed in rats treated with KF compared to untreated animals.In conclusion,we demonstrated that treatment with KF reduced testicular inflammatory process and MC infiltrates in both EAO and TCT models.The results suggest a promising treatment for infertile male patients with testicular pathologies associated with inflammation and germ cell loss. | Diego Moreno Cristian M Sobarzo Livia Lustig Marcelo G Rodriguez Pena Vanesa Anabella Guazzone | 2020 | Asian Journal of Andrology2020，22，1： | 3 |

| 10 | An Andean tectonic cycle:From crustal thickening to extension in a thin crust(34°-37°SL)显示文摘Several orogenic cycles of mountain building and subsequent collapse associated with periods of shallowing and steepening of subduction zones have been recognized in recent years in the Andes.Most of them are characterized by widespread crustal delamination expressed by large calderas and rhyolitic flare-up produced by the injection of hot asthenosphere in the subduction wedge.These processes are related to the increase of the subduction angle during trench roll-back.The Payenia paleoflat-slab,in the southern Central Andes of Argentina and Chile(34°—37°S) recorded a complete cycle from crustal thickening and mountain uplift to extensional collapse and normal faulting,which are related to changes in the subduction geometry.The early stages are associated with magmatic expansion and migration,subsequent deformation and broken foreland.New ages and geochemical data show the middle to late Miocene expansion and migration of arc volcanism towards the foreland region was associated with important deformation in the Andean foothills.However,the main difference of this orogenic cycle with the previously described cycles is that the steepening of the oceanic subducted slab is linked to basaltic flooding of large areas in the retroarc under an extensional setting.Crustal delamination is concentrated only in a narrow central belt along the cordilleran axis.The striking differences between the two types of cycles are interpreted to be related to the crustal thickness when steepening the subducting slab.The crustal thickness of the Altiplano is over 60-80 km,whereas Payenia is less than 42 km in the axial part,and near 30 km in the retroarc foothills.The final extensional regime associated with the slab steepening favors the basaltic flooding of more than 8400 km^3 in an area larger than 40,000 km2,through 800 central vents and large fissures.These characteristics are unique in the entire present-day Andes. | Victor A.Ramos Vanesa D.Litvak Andrés Folguera Mauro Spagnuolo | 2014 | Geoscience Frontiers2014，5，3： | 2 |
