1Perovskite light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres for wearable LiFi communication显示文摘Light fidelity(LiFi),which is emerging as a compelling technology paradigm shifting the common means of highcapacity wireless communication technologies,requires wearable and full-duplex compact design because of its great significance in smart wearables as well as the‘Internet of Things’.However,the construction of the key component of wearable full-duplex LiFi,light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres,is still challenging because of the conflicting process between carrier separation and recombination,as well as the highly dynamic film-forming process.Here,we demonstrate light-emitting/detecting bifunctional fibres enabled by perovskite QDs with hybrid components.The hybrid perovskite inks endow fibres with super-smooth QD films.This,combined with the small exciton binding energy and high carrier mobility of perovskite QDs,enables successful integration of electroluminescence and photodetection into monofilaments.The bifunctional fibres possess the narrowest electroluminescence full width at half maximum of ~19 nm and,more importantly,the capability for simultaneously transmitting and receiving information.The successful fabrication of narrow emission full-duplex LiFi fibres paves the way for the fabrication and integration of low crosstalk interoperable smart wearables.Qingsong Shan Changting Wei Yan Jiang Jizhong Song Yousheng Zou Leimeng Xu Tao Fang Tiantian Wang Yuhui Dong Jiaxin Liu Boning Han Fengjuan Zhang Jiawei Chen Yongjin Wang Haibo Zeng 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:7

3The ultraviolet photoconductive detector based on Al-doped ZnO thin film with fast response显示文摘We report fabrication and characterization of metal-semiconductor-metal photoconductive detectors based on Al-doped ZnO thin films fabricated by radio frequency magnetron sputtering.Optical and structural properties of the thin films were characterized using various techniques.At 6 V bias,a responsivity higher than 4 A/W in the wavelength shorter than 350 nm was obtained,and this responsibility dropped quickly and reached the noise floor in the visible region.Transient response measurement revealed that the detector had a fast photoresponse with a rise time of 9 ns and a fall time of 1.2 μs.SUN Jian DAI Qian LIU FengJuan HUANG HaiQin LI ZhenJun ZHANG XiQing WANG YongSheng 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,1:4

5Design of Eco-friendly Ultra-high Performance Concrete with Supplementary Cementitious Materials and Coarse Aggregate显示文摘Aiming to investigate the mix design of eco-friendly UHPC with supplementary cementitious materials and coarser aggregates, we comprehensively studied the workability, microstructure, porosity, compressive strength, flexural strength, and Young’s modulus of UHPC. Relationship between compressive strength and Young’s modulus was obtained eventually. It is found that the compressive strength, flexural strength, and Young’s modulus of UHPC increase by 19.01%, 10.81%, and 5.99%, respectively, when 40 wt% cement is replaced with supplementary cementitious materials. 8Metabolic profiling of DREB-overexpressing transgenic wheat seeds by liquid chromatographymass spectrometry显示文摘DREBs are transcription factors that regulate abiotic stress tolerance in plants.Previously,we reported that wheat transgenic lines overexpressing Gm DREB1 showed increased tolerance to drought and salt stress.However,the molecular basis of increased tolerance is still poorly understood,and whether the overexpression of DREB will cause unexpected effects is also of concern.We performed seed metabolic profiling of the genetically modified(GM)wheat T349 and three non-GM cultivars with LC-MS to identify the metabolic basis of stress tolerance and to assess the unexpected effects of exogenous gene insertion.Although we did not note the appearance of novel metabolites or the disappearance of existing metabolites,overexpression of the transcription factor Gm DREB1 in T349 wheat influenced metabolite levels in seeds.Increased levels of stress tolerance-associated metabolites were found in the stress-sensitive non-transgenic acceptor counterpart J19,while metabolites associated with cell membrane structure and stability accumulated in T349.Among these metabolites in T349,most showed levels similar to those in the non-GM wheats.Overexpression of Gm DREB1 in T349 may cause a shift in its metabolic profile leading to down-regulation of several energy-consuming processes to favor increased yield under stress conditions,which is a reasonable expectation of breeders while creating the GM wheat and Gm DREB1 overexpression did not cause unexpected effects in T349 seeds.These results may be helpful for GM crop research and risk assessment.Fengjuan Niu Qiyan Jiang Xianjun Sun Zheng Hu Lixia Wang Hui Zhang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,6:2

10The Regulatory Roles of microRNAs and Associated Target Genes during Early Somatic Embryogenesis in Liriodendron Sino-Americanum显示文摘Somatic cells respond to considerable stress,and go through a series of phytohormone pathways,then forming an embryo.The developmental process is recorded as somatic embryogenesis(SE).One of the key components regulating SE are the microRNAs(miRNAs).Despite previous studies,it is still not clear exactly how miRNAs exert their function of regulating targets during conditionally activated early SE.Here,we use Liriodendron sino-americanum as a model system and perform a combined analysis of microfluidic chips and degradome sequencing to study this process.We identified a total of 386 conserved miRNAs and 153 novel miRNAs during early SE.According to the ANOVA test,239 miRNAs showed 12 distinct expression patterns.Through degradome sequencing,419 targets and 198 targets were identified for 136 known miRNAs and 37 novel miRNAs,respectively.Gene Ontology(GO)and metabolism pathway enrichment analysis revealed that these targets were significantly involved in oxidation-reduction processes,calmodulin-mediated signal transduction pathways and carbohydrate metabolism.The genes that were related to stress responses,phytohormone pathways and plant metabolism were identified within the targets of miR319,miR395,miR408,miR472,miR482,miR390,miR2055,miR156,miR157,miR171,miR396,miR397,miR529,miR535 and miR159.According to promoter analysis,various cis-acting elements related to plant growth and development,phytohormones response and stress response were present in the promoter of the miRNAs.The differential expression patterns of 11 miRNA-target modules were confirmed by real-time quantitative PCR.The study demonstrated that the miRNA plays an important role in the early SE process by regulating its target and then participating in carbohydrate metabolism and stress response.It also provided a valuable resource for further research in determining the genetic mechanism of SE,and then facilitating breeding programs on plants.Dan Wang Fengjuan Lu Pengkai Wang Jiaji Zhang Lu Lu Yan Zhen Ye Lu Tielong Cheng Jisen Shi Jinhui Chen 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,5:1

14Heritability of resistance-related gene expression traits and their correlation with body size of clam Meretrix petechialis显示文摘Gene expression variation can be considered as a phenotype,and it plays an important role in both acclimation and adaption.However,genetic variation of gene expression received much less attention than traditional commercial traits in aquaculture.To estimate the genetic variation and heritability of gene transcription in clam Meretrix petechialis,five Vibrio resistance-related genes were selected for gene expression analysis in the digestive gland,and an animal linear model was used to analyze data from quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).Among the five genes,BIRC7 showed significant additive genetic variations,the heritability of this gene of 12-month-and 15-month-old clams were 0.84±0.32 and 0.91±0.34,respectively.The heritability of other four genes(Bax,NFIL3,Big-Def,and CTL9)expression were low-tomoderate but not significantly expressed.Additionally,no significant phenotypic and genetic correlations between the BIRC7 transcription trait and body size were detected.This study highlights that certain gene expression variation is heritable and provides a reference for indirect selection of M.petechialis with high Vibrio resistance.JIANG Fengjuan YUE Xin ZHANG Shujing YU Jiajia WANG Rui LIU Baozhong WANG Hongxia 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2:1

16Superoxide-like Cu/GO single-atom catalysts nanozyme with high specificity and activity for removing superoxide free radicals显示文摘Although nanozyme has become an emerging area of research attracting extensive attention recently,the activity and specificity of currently reported nanozymes are generally lower than those of natural enzymes.Developing highly active and specific nanozymes is therefore extremely necessary and also remains a great challenge.Superoxide dismutase(SOD)catalyzes the disproportionation of cytotoxic O_(2)·^(−)into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen,and plays an important role in reducing human oxidative stress.In this work,we prepare Cu single-atom catalysts(Cu/GO SACs,GO=graphene oxide)through a simple and low-cost strategy at room temperature using Cu foam and graphene oxide.Cu/GO SACs can maintain excellent catalytic activity under harsh environment.Compared with the natural enzyme,SOD-like Cu/GO SAC nanozyme has higher catalytic activity and meanwhile,it does not possess the common properties of other mimic enzymes often existing in nanomaterials.Based on the excellent SOD-like enzyme activity of Cu/GO SACs,it successfully eliminates the active oxygen in cigarette smoke.This work not only provides a new idea for the design and synthesis of nanozymes with excellent SOD mimetic properties,but also is promising in the treatment of lung injury and inflammatory diseases related to free radical production.Mingju Lu Jialu Wang Guoyuan Ren Fengjuan Qin Zhiqiang Zhao Kai Li Wenxing Chen Yuqing Lin 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:1

20Enhancement on the ammonia oxidation capacity of ammonia-oxidizing archaeon originated from wastewater:Utilizing low-density static magnetic field显示文摘Ammonia-oxidizing archaeon(AOA)could play important roles for nitrogen removal in the bioreactors under conditions such as low pH and low dissolved oxygen.Therefore,enhancing ammonia oxidation capability of AOA has great significance for water and wastewater treatment,especially under conditions like low dissolved oxygen concentration.Utilizing a novel AOA strain SAT1,which was enriched from a wastewater treatment plant by our group,the effect of magnetic field on AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability,its magnetotaxis and heredity were investigated in this study.Compared with control experiment,AOA’s maximum nitrite-N formation rate during the cultivation increased by 56.8%(0.65 mgN/(L·d))with 20 mT magnetic field.Also,it was testified that AOA possessed a certain magnetotaxis.However,results manifested that the enhancement of AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability was not heritable,that is,lost once the magnetic field was removed.Additionally,the possible mechanism of improving AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability by magnetic field was owing to the promotion of AOA single cells’growth and fission,rather than the enhancement of their ammonia oxidation rates.The results shed light on the application of AOA and methods to enhance AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability,especially in wastewater treatment processes under certain conditions.Zeshen Tian Bo Wang Yuyang Li Bo Shen Fengjuan Li Xianghua Wen 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,5:1
