Initial identification of heavy metals contamination in Taihu Lake, a eutrophic lake in China显示文摘A detailed investigation of seven heavy metals (Cu, Cd, Cr, As, Pb, Zn, Ni) in the water column, interstitial water and surface sediment was conducted to quantify the extent of their contamination in Taihu Lake. Results showed the average total concentrations ranged from 0.93 μg/L for Cd to 47.03 μg/L for Zn. The dissolved concentrations in the overlying water ranged from 0.06 μg/L for Cd to 15.86 μg/L for Zn. The metals in the Taihu Lake surface water were primarily in the particulate phase, especially for Cd, whose particulate concentration represented 94.3% of the total. In the surface sediment, the mean concentrations for Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Cd and Pb were 41.50, 28.72, 27.82, 65.46, 5.94, 0.82 and 41.17 mg/kg, respectively. The metals in the water column and sediments of Taihu Lake displayed significant spatial variations, and the higher metal concentrations mainly occurred in the north and west of Taihu Lake, especially in Zhushan Bay and West Taihu Lake. A quality assessment indicated that most of the metals in the surface water of Taihu Lake had no or low adverse health effects on organisms, except for Pb and Cu, which may cause chronic toxicity. Compared with the 'Consensus-Based Sediment Quality Guidelines', the polluting metals were Cr, Ni and Cd, and the polluted regions were confined to Zhushan Bay, Meiliang Bay and the west of Taihu Lake, especially for north of Zhushan Bay. The polluted areas for Cr, Ni and Cd were 14.36, 34.70 and 13.24 km 2 , respectively. We suggest that Cr, Ni, and Cd in the polluted areas should be addressed and that tissue chemistry and sediment toxicity assessments be performed as soon as possible. | Xia Jiang Wenwen Wang Shuhang Wang Bo Zhang Jiachen Hu | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,9: | 26
Colorectal cancer burden and trends:Comparison between China and major burden countries in the world显示文摘Objective:To summarize the colorectal cancer(CRC)burden and trend in the world, and compare the difference of CRC burden between other countries and China. Methods:Incidence and mortality data were extracted from the GLOBOCAN2018 and Cancer Incidence in Five Continents.Age-specific incidence trend was conducted by Joinpoint analysis and average annual percent changes were calculated. Results:About 1.85 million new cases and 0.88 million deaths were expected in 2018 worldwide, including 0.52 million(28.20%)new cases and 0.25 million(28.11%)deaths in China.Hungary had the highest age-standardized incidence and mortality rates in the world, while for China, the incidence and mortality rates were only half of that.CRC incidence and mortality were highly correlated with human development index(HDI).Unlike the rapid increase in Republic of Korea and the downward trend in Canada and Australia, the age-standardized incidence rates by world standard population in China and Norway were rising gradually. The age-specific incidence rate in the age group of 50-59 years in China was increasing rapidly, while in Republic of Korea and Canada, the fastest growing age group was 30-39 years. Conclusions:The variations of CRC burden reflect the difference of risk factors,as well as levels of HDI and screening(early detection activities). The burden of CRC in China is high, and the incidence of CRC continues to increase, which may lead to a sustained increase in the burden of CRC in China in the future.Screening should be expanded to control CRC,and focused on young people in China. | Jiachen Zhou Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Shaoming Wang Ru Chen Kexin Sun Minjuan Li Jianhua Gu Guihua Zhuang Wenqiang Wei | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,1: | 16
Three-dimensional experimental study of loose top-coal drawing law for longwall top-coal caving mining technology显示文摘Based on the loose medium flow field theory, the loose top-coal drawing law of longwall top-coal caving(LTCC) mining technology is studied by using self-developed three-dimensional(3D) test device. The loose top-coal drawing test with shields and the controlled test without shields are performed in the condition without any boundary effect. Test results show that shields will cause reduction in drawing volume of coal in the LTCC mining. The deflection phenomenon of drawing body is also observed in the controlled test, which is verified that the deflection of drawing body is caused by shield. It is found that the deflection angle decreases with increasing caving height, with the maximum value of atailand the minimum value of 0. In addition, the formula to calculate the drawing volume is proposed subsequently. The deflection of drawing body is numerically simulated using particle flow code PFC3 Dand the proposed formula to calculate drawing volume in LTCC is also verified. | Jiachen Wang Jinwang Zhang Zhengyang Song Zhaolong Li | 2015 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2015,7,3: | 12
Failure mechanism and control technology of longwall coalface in large-cutting-height mining method显示文摘The stability control of longwall coalface is the key technology of large-cutting-height mining method. Therefore,a systematic study of the factors that affect coalface stability and its control technology is required in the development of large-cutting-height mining method in China. After the practical field observation and years of study,it was found that the more than 95% of failures in coalface are shear failure. The shear failure analysis model of coalface has been established, that can perform systematic study among factors such as mining height, coal mass strength, roof load, support resistance, and face flipper protecting plate horizontal force. Meanwhile, sensitivity analysis of factors influencing coalface stability showed that improving support capacity, cohesion of coal mass and decreasing roof load of coalface are the key to improve coalface stability. Numerical simulation of the factors affecting coalface stability has been performed using UDEC software and the results are consistent with the theoretical analysis. The coalface reinforcement technology of large-cutting-height mining method using the grouting combined with coir rope is presented. Laboratory tests have been carried out to verify its reinforcement effect and practical application has been implemented in several coal mines with good results. It has now become the main technology to reduce longwall coalface failure of large-cutting-height mining method. | Wang Jiachen Yang Shengli Kong Dezhong | 2016 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,1: | 7
Theoretical description of drawing body shape in an inclined seam with longwall top coal caving mining显示文摘Understanding the characteristics of drawing body shape is essential for optimization of drawing parameters in longwall top coal caving mining. In this study, both physical experiments and theoretical analysis are employed to investigate these characteristics and derive a theoretical equation for the drawing body shape along the working face in an inclined seam.By analyzing the initial positions of drawn marked particles, the characteristics of the drawing body shape for different seam dip angles are obtained. It is shown that the drawing body of the top coal exhibits a shape-difference and volume-symmetry characteristic,on taking a vertical line through the center of support opening as the axis of symmetry, the shapes of the drawing body on the two sides of this axis are clearly different, but their volumes are equal.By establishing theoretical models of the drawing body in the initial drawing stage and the normal drawing stage,a theoretical equation for the drawing body in an inclined seam is proposed, which can accurately describe the characteristics of the drawing body shape. The shape characteristics and volume symmetry of the drawing body are further analyzed by comparing the results of theoretical calculations and numerical simulations. It is shown that one side of the drawing body is divided into two parts by an inflection point, with the lower part being a variation development area. This variation development area increases gradually with increasing seam dip angle, resulting in an asymmetry of the drawing body shape. However, the volume symmetry coefficient fluctuates around 1 for all values of the seam dip angle variation, and the volumes of the drawing body on the two sides are more or less equal as the variation development volume is more or less equal to the cut volume. Both theoretical calculations and numerical simulations confirm that the drawing body of the top coal exhibits the shape-difference and volume-symmetry characteristic. | Jiachen Wang Weijie Wei Jinwang Zhang | 2020 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,1: | 6
Systematic principles of surrounding rock control in longwall mining within thick coal seams显示文摘Effective surrounding rock control is a prerequisite for realizing safe mining in underground coal mines. In the past three decades, longwall top-coal caving mining(LTCC) and single pass large height longwall mining(SPLL) found expanded usage in extracting thick coal seams in China. The two mining methods lead to large void space left behind the working face, which increases the difficulty in ground control.Longwall face failure is a common problem in both LTCC and SPLL mining. Such failure is conventionally attributed to low strength and high fracture intensity of the coal seam. However, the stiffness of main components included in the surrounding rock system also greatly influences longwall face stability.Correspondingly, surrounding rock system is developed for LTCC and SPLL faces in this paper. The conditions for simultaneous balance of roof structure and longwall face are put forward by taking the stiffness of coal seam, roof strata and hydraulic support into account. The safety factor of the longwall face is defined as the ratio between the ultimate bearing capacity and actual load imposed on the coal wall. The influences provided by coal strength, coal stiffness, roof stiffness, and hydraulic support stiffness,as well as the movement of roof structure are analyzed. Finally, the key elements dominating longwall face stability are identified for improving surrounding rock control effectiveness in LTCC and SPLL faces. | Jiachen Wang Zhaohui Wang | 2019 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2019,29,1: | 6

Recent advances on the reduction of CO2 to important C2+ oxygenated chemicals and fuels显示文摘The chemical utilization of CO_2 is a crucial step for the recycling of carbon resource. In recent years, the study on the conversion of CO_2 into a wide variety of C_(2+) important chemicals and fuels has received considerable attention as an emerging technology. Since CO_2 is thermodynamically stable and kinetically inert, the effective activation of CO_2 molecule for the selective transformation to target products still remains a challenge. The welldesigned CO_2 reduction route and efficient catalyst system has imposed the feasibility of CO_2 conversion into C_(2+) chemicals and fuels. In this paper, we have reviewed the recent advances on chemical conversion of CO_2 into C_(2+) chemicals and fuels with wide practical applications, including important alcohols, acetic acid, dimethyl ether, olefins and gasoline. In particular, the synthetic routes for C\\C coupling and carbon chain growth, multifunctional catalyst design and reaction mechanisms are exclusively emphasized. | Jiachen Li Liguo Wang Yan Cao Chanjuan Zhang PengHe Huiquan Li | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,11: | 3

ASAF: altered spontaneous activity fingerprinting in Alzheimer’s disease based on multisite fMRI显示文摘Several monocentric studies have noted alterations in spontaneous brain activity in Alzheimer's disease (AD), although there is no consensus on the altered amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations in AD patients. The main aim of the present study was to identify a reliable and reproducible abnormal brain activity pattern in AD. The amplitude of local brain activity (AM), which can provide fast mapping of spontaneous brain activity across the whole brain, was evaluated based on multisite rs-fMRI data for 688 subjects (215 normal controls (NCs), 221 amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) 252 AD). Two-sample t-tests were used to detect group differences between AD patients and NCs from the same site. Differences in the AM maps were statistically analyzed via the Stouffer's meta-analysis. Consistent regions of lower spontaneous brain activity in the default mode network and increased activity in the bilateral hippocampus/parahippocampus, thalamus, caudate nucleus, orbital part of the middle frontal gyrus and left fusiform were observed in the AD patients compared with those in NCs. Significant correlations (P?0.05, Bonferroni corrected) between the normalized amplitude index and Mini-Mental State Examination scores were found in the identified brain regions, which indicates that the altered brain activity was associated with cognitive decline in the patients. Multivariate analysis and leave-one-site-out cross-validation led to a 78.49% prediction accuracy for single-patient classification. The altered activity patterns of the identified brain regions were largely correlated with the FDG-PET results from another independent study. These results emphasized the impaired brain activity to provide a robust and reproducible imaging signature of AD. | Jiachen Li Dan Jin Ang Li Bing Liu Chengyuan Song Pan Wang Dawei Wang Kaibin Xu Hongwei Yang Hongxiang Yao Bo Zhou Alexandre Bejanin Gael Chetelat Tong Han Jie Lu Qing Wang Chunshui Yu Xinqing Zhang Yuying Zhou Xi Zhang Tianzi Jiang Yong Liu Ying Han | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,14: | 3
Drawing mechanisms for top coal in longwall top coal caving(LTCC):A review of two decades of literature显示文摘This review details the state of the art in research on top coal drawing mechanisms in Longwall top coal caving(LTCC)by examining the relevant literature over the last two decades. It startswith an introduction of the brief history and basic procedures of LTCC.The framework of research on the drawing mechanism, basic concepts, and some theoretical models of LTCC are detailed in sect.research framework of top coal drawingmechanism. The authors note that theTop coal drawbody(TCD),Top coal boundary(TCB)and Top coal recovery ratio(TCRR)are key factors in the drawingmechanism.TheBody-boundary-ratio(BBR)research system has been the classic framework for research over the last 20 years. The modified Bergmark-Roos model, which considers the effects of the supporting rear canopy, flowing velocity of top coal, and its shape factor,is optimal for characterizing the TCD.A 3Dmodel to describe the TCB that considers the thicknesses of the coal seam and roof strata is reviewed. In sect.physical testing and numerical simulation, the physical tests and numerical simulations in the literature are classified for ease of bibliographical review, and classic conclusions regarding the drawing mechanism of top coal are presented and discussedwith elaborate illustrations and descriptions. The deflection of the TCDis noted, and is caused by the shape of the rear canopy. The inclined coal seam always induces a largerTCD,and a deflection in theTCDhas also been observed in it.The effects of the drawing sequence and drawing interval on the TCRR are reviewed, where a long drawing interval is found to lead to significant loss of top coal. Its flowing behavior and velocity distribution are also presented.Sect.practical applications of drawingmechanisms forLTCCmines 4 summarizes over 10 cases where the TCRRof LTCCmines improved due to the guidance of the drawing mechanism. The final section provides a summary of the work here and some open questions.Prospective investigations are highlighted to give researchers guidance on promising issues in future research on LTCC. | Jiachen Wang Shengli Yang Weijie Wei Jinwang Zhang Zhengyang Song | 2021 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2021,8,6: | 3
Spectrum Prediction Based on GAN and Deep Transfer Learning:A Cross-Band Data Augmentation Framework显示文摘This paper investigates the problem of data scarcity in spectrum prediction.A cognitive radio equipment may frequently switch the target frequency as the electromagnetic environment changes. The previously trained model for prediction often cannot maintain a good performance when facing small amount of historical data of the new target frequency. Moreover, the cognitive radio equipment usually implements the dynamic spectrum access in real time which means the time to recollect the data of the new task frequency band and retrain the model is very limited. To address the above issues,we develop a crossband data augmentation framework for spectrum prediction by leveraging the recent advances of generative adversarial network(GAN)and deep transfer learning.Firstly, through the similarity measurement,we pre-train a GAN model using the historical data of the frequency band that is the most similar to the target frequency band. Then, through the data augmentation by feeding the small amount of the target data into the pre-trained GAN,temporal-spectral residual network is further trained using deep transfer learning and the generated data with high similarity from GAN.Finally, experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. | Fandi Lin Jin Chen Guoru Ding Yutao Jiao Jiachen Sun Haichao Wang | 2021 | China Communications2021,18,1: | 3
An Improved Biogeography-Based Optimization Algorithm for Blocking Flow Shop Scheduling Problem显示文摘To solve the blocking flow shop scheduling with maximum completion time(i.e. makespan) criterion,we proposed an Improved biogeography-based optimization algorithm(IBBO). The framework of basic BBO algorithm is used in the IBBO algorithm, and the introduction of the NEH algorithm make IBBO algorithm with certain quality and diversity. The migration operation based on the insert rules and the mutation operation based on swap rules are presented to avoid the occurrence of illegal solution of the blocking flow shop problem. | 16 | Fully integrated hybrid microwave photonic receiver显示文摘Microwave photonic receivers are a promising candidate in breaking the bandwidth limitation of traditional radio-frequency(RF)receivers.To further balance the performance superiority with the requirements regarding size, weight, and power consumption(SWa P),the implementation of integrated microwave photonic microsystems has been considered an upgrade path. However,up to now,to the best of our knowledge,chip-scale fully integrated microwave photonic receivers have not been reported due to the limitation of material platforms. In this paper,we report a fully integrated hybrid microwave photonic receiver(FIH-MWPR)obtained by comprising the indium phosphide(In P)laser chip and the monolithic silicon-on-insulator(SOI)photonic circuit into the same substrate based on the low-coupling-loss micro-optics method.Benefiting from the integration of all optoelectronic components, the packaged FIH-MWPR exhibits a compact volume of 6 cmand low power consumption of 1.2 W.The FIH-MWPR supports a wide operation bandwidth from 2 to 18 GHz.Furthermore, its RF-link performance to down-convert the RF signals to the intermediate frequency is experimentally characterized by measuring the link gain, the noise figure, and the spurious-free dynamic range metrics across the whole operation frequency band. Moreover,we have utilized it as a de-chirp receiver to process the broadband linear frequencymodulated(LFM)radar echo signals at different frequency bands(S-,C-,X-,and Ku-bands)and successfully demonstrated its high-resolution-ranging capability. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first realization of a chip-scale broadband fully integrated microwave photonic receiver, which is expected to be an important step in demonstrating the feasibility of all-integrated microwave photonic microsystems oriented to miniaturized application scenarios. | JIACHEN LI SIGANG YANG HONGWEI CHEN XINGJUN WANG MINGHUA CHEN WEIWEN ZOU | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,6: | 2
Treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer with driver mutations: current applications and future directions显示文摘With the improved understanding of driver mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), expanding the targeted therapeutic options improved the survival and safety. However, responses to these agents are commonly temporary and incomplete. Moreover, even patients with the same oncogenic driver gene can respond diversely to the same agent. Furthermore, the therapeutic role of immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in oncogene-driven NSCLC remains unclear. Therefore, this review aimed to classify the management of NSCLC with driver mutations based on the gene subtype, concomitant mutation, and dynamic alternation. Then, we provide an overview of the resistant mechanism of target therapy occurring in targeted alternations (“target-dependent resistance”) and in the parallel and downstream pathways (“target-independent resistance”). Thirdly, we discuss the effectiveness of ICIs for NSCLC with driver mutations and the combined therapeutic approaches that might reverse the immunosuppressive tumor immune microenvironment. Finally, we listed the emerging treatment strategies for the new oncogenic alternations, and proposed the perspective of NSCLC with driver mutations. This review will guide clinicians to design tailored treatments for NSCLC with driver mutations. | Jia Zhong Hua Bai Zhijie Wang Jianchun Duan Wei Zhuang Di Wang Rui Wan Jiachen Xu Kailun Fei Zixiao Ma Xue Zhang Jie Wang | 2023 | Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,1: | 2

Hygroscopicity of ambient submicron particles in urban Hangzhou,China显示文摘In this study, hygroscopicity of size-segregated ambient submicron particles in urban Hangzhou was studied from 28th December 2009 to 18th January 2010,using a hygroscopicity-tandem differential mobility analyzer(H-TDMA).The submicron particles in Hangzhou showed a minor hygroscopic growth at 73%relative humidity(RH),and then grew significantly between 77%and 82%RH.Monomodal distribution accounted for 90%for 30 nm particles,17%for 50 nm particles, and less than 7%for particles larger than 50 nm at 82%RH.Deconvolution of the bimodal distribution indicated a less hygroscopic group and a more hygroscopic group, with the fraction of the more hygroscopic group increasing with the initial dry particle size and then remaining almost constant for accumulation mode particles. Our results imply that submicron particles in urban Hangzhou were almost entirely externally mixed, and the hygroscopic properties of ambient particles in urban Hangzhou were mainly a function of their size and chemical composition. | Jiachen ZHANG Lin WANG Jianmin CHEN Shengmao FENG Jiandong SHEN Li JIAO | 2011 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2011,5,3: | 2
