5Comparison of Structure and Properties among Various PAN Fibers for Carbon Fibers显示文摘To find out the high-quality polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers, some differences are sought by comparing domestic PAN fibers with the foreign ones. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer, elemental analyzer, tensile-testing machine and high-temperature differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) are used to characterize the individual microstructure, chemical structure, elemental content,mechanical properties and thermal properties. 6Microstructure of fibrils separated from polyacrylonitrile fibers by ultrasonic etching显示文摘Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber is an important precursor fiber for high performance carbon fiber.The properties of the final carbon fiber depend strongly on the nature of the PAN fibers.The PAN fibrils were separated successfully from fibers by ultrasonic etching and were systematically investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM).It is found that in certain ultrasonic etching conditions (at 75±2oC for 6 h with a frequency of 40 kHz) the PAN fibers are dissolved in the 95 wt.% aqueous dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) solution;the fibrils consisting of numerous periodic lamellae with thickness of 30-45 nm and perpendicular to the fiber axis are separated in the 90 wt.% aqueous DMSO solution;and the fibrils with smooth surface exfoliated from the PAN fibers are obtained in the 70-90 wt.% aqueous DMSO solutions.Inner periodical structure of fibrils was observed in HRTEM,which indicates that there are different densities and two phases in fibrils.The PAN fibers are dissolved layer by layer with increasing ultrasonic etching time.The fiber surface experiences ultrasonic cleaning,selective etching,excessive etching and dissolution,and then the sublayer experiences the same process.There are numerous periodic lamellae in fibrils of nascent fibers.This means that the fibrils with lamellae are formed by orientation and crystallization in shearing field of spinning pipe and drawing stress field of coagulation bath.WANG QiFen,WANG ChengGuo,YU MeiJie,MA Jie,HU XiuYing & ZHU Bo Carbon Fiber Engineering Research Center,Key Laboratory for Liquid-Solid Structural Evolution and Processing of Materials (Ministry of Education),Shandong University,Jinan 250061,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,6:3
7Comparative study of mechanical and wear behavior of Cu/WS_2 composites fabricated by spark plasma sintering and hot pressing显示文摘The mechanical and wear behavior of copper-tungsten disulfide(Cu/WS_2) composites fabricated by spark plasma sintering(SPS) and hot pressing(HP) was investigated, comparatively. Results indicated that the addition of lubricant WS_2 substantially reduced wear rate of the Cu matrix composites fabricated by SPS,and the optimum content of WS_2 is 20 wt% with regard to the wear behavior. However, it affected a little to the wear rate while dramatically decreased the friction coefficient of the composite fabricated by HP.This difference in friction behavior of the self-lubricating composites fabricated by the two techniques was closely related to their different mechanical properties. 9Integrating a flipped classroom and problem-based learning into ophthalmology education显示文摘Background: Ophthalmology is an important medical science subject, but it is given with insufficient attention in undergraduate medical education. Flipped classroom(FC) and problem-based learning(PBL) are well-known education methods that can be integrated into ophthalmology education to improve students' competence level and promote active learning. Methods: We used a mixed teaching methodology that integrated a FC and PBL into a 1-week ophthalmology clerkship for 72 fourth-year medical students. The course includes two major sessions: FC session and PBL session, relying on clinical and real-patient cases. Written examinations were set up to assess students' academic performance and questionnaires were designed to evaluate their perceptions. Results: The post-course examination results were higher than the pre-course results, and many students gained ophthalmic knowledge and learning skills to varying levels. Comparison of pre-and post-course questionnaires indicated that interests in ophthalmology increased and more students expressed desires to be eye doctors. Most students were satisfied with the new method, while some suggested the process should be slower and the communication with their teacher needed to strengthen.Conclusions: FC and PBL are complementary methodologies. 20Specific Regulation of m^(6)A by SRSF7 Promotes the Progression of Glioblastoma显示文摘Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 7(SRSF7),a known splicing factor,has been revealed to play oncogenic roles in multiple cancers.However,the mechanisms underlying its oncogenic roles have not been well addressed.Here,based on N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)co-methylation network analysis across diverse cell lines,we find that the gene expression of SRSF7 is positively correlated with glioblastoma(GBM)cell-specific m^(6)A methylation.We then indicate that SRSF7 is a novel m^(6)A regulator,which specifically facilitates the m^(6)A methylation near its binding sites on the mRNAs involved in cell proliferation and migration,through recruiting the methyltransferase complex.Moreover,SRSF7 promotes the proliferation and migration of GBM cells largely dependent on the presence of the m^(6)A methyltransferase.The two m^(6)A sites on the mRNA for PDZ-binding kinase(PBK)are regulated by SRSF7 and partially mediate the effects of SRSF7 in GBM cells through recognition by insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2(IGF2BP2).Together,our discovery reveals a novel role of SRSF7 in regulating m^(6)A and validates the presence and functional importance of temporal-and spatial-specific regulation of m^(6)A mediated by RNA-binding proteins(RBPs).Yixian Cun Sanqi An Haiqing Zheng Jing Lan Wenfang Chen Wanjun Luo Chengguo Yao Xincheng Li Xiang Huang Xiang Sun Zehong Wu Yameng Hu Ziwen Li Shuxia Zhang Geyan Wu Meisongzhu Yang Miaoling Tang Ruyuan Yu Xinyi Liao Guicheng Gao Wei Zhao Jinkai Wang Jun Li 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,4:1
