| 1 | Characterization of personal exposure concentration of fine particles for adults and children exposed to high ambient concentrations in Beijing, China显示文摘In China, the health risk from overexposure to particles is becoming an important public health concern. To investigate daily exposure characteristics to PM 2.5 with high ambient concentration in urban area, a personal exposure study was conducted for school children, and office workers in Beijing, China. For all participants (N = 114), the mean personal 24-hr exposure concentration was 102.5, 14.7, 0.093, 0.528, 0.934, 0.174 and 0.703 μg/m 3 for PM 2.5 , black carbon, Mn, Al, Ca, Pb, and Fe. Children's exposure concentrations of PM 2.5 were 4-5 times higher than those in related studies. The ambient concentration of PM 2.5 (128.5 μg/m 3 ) was significantly higher than the personal exposure concentration (P < 0.05), and exceed the reference concentration (25 μg/m 3 ) of WHO air quality guideline. Good correlation relationships and significant differences were identified between ambient concentration and personal exposure concentration. The relationships indicate that the ambient concentration is the main factor influencing personal exposure concentration, but is not a good indicator of personal exposure concentration. Outdoor activities (commute mode, exposure to heating, workday or weekend travel) influenced personal exposure concentrations significantly, but the magnitude of the influence from indoor activities (exposure to cooking) was masked by the high ambient concentrations. | Xuan Du Qian Kong Weihua Ge Shaojun Zhang Lixin Fu | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,11: | 24 |
| 2 | Dynamic model for sucking process of pneumatic cutting-type safflower harvest device显示文摘This study proposed a method using negative pressure sucking the petals adhered around cones.The structural parameters of the sucking device affect the flow-field distribution in the negative-pressure air chamber.In order to improve the harvesting efficiency and quality of the pneumatic cutting-type safflower harvest device,a dynamic model was established and the safflower petals upwind area were measured.According to the test,the size parameters of the thornless Yumin safflower were as follows:the average necking diameter was 6.30 mm,the average capitulum diameter was 20.89 mm and the average petal length was 22.39 mm.The measured maximum frontal area of the safflower petal was 11-40 mm2.Secondly,the required negative pressure power that resulted in the rise of safflower petals was calculated.In general,when the suction of the negative pressure reaches 9.8 m/s,the safflower petals can be sucked successfully.The simulation of the flow field in the suction mouth indicated that the streamlined suction mouth was beneficial in reducing resistance and the test results of high-speed photography showed that the aforementioned condition could improve the efficiency of the upright safflower.And the test verified that the rate of the unshaped petals in the cylindrical air tunnel was low and the efficiency of carding and shaping under negative pressure was considerably better in wet petals than in dry ones.Results of the upright safflower petal experiment were consistent with the theoretical analysis and simulation conclusion,and indicated the precision of the dynamic model and suction flower mouth orifice-shaped simulation analysis. | Ge Yun Zhang Lixin Qian Ying Jiao Xiaopan Chen Yuanbo | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,5: | 6 |
| 3 | Streptomyces avermitilis industrial strain as cell factory for Ivermectin B1a production显示文摘Ivermectin,a kind of valuable derivatives of Avermectin,is distinct from Avermectin due to the saturated bond at C22eC23 position.Combinatorial biosynthesis of Ivermectins based on Avermectins biosynthetic gene cluster(ave)has been achieved recently,while the establishment of an Ivermectin homogeneous component producing strain is challenging because of the limited compatibility between the native and heterologous polyketide synthase(PKS)domains.In this study,the PKS module 2 Dehydratase(DH)-Enoylreductase(ER)-Ketoreductase(KR)domain set of Meilingmycin,which is another naturally occurring homologue of Avermectin,was employed to substitute the DH-KR domains of Avermectins PKS module 2 to generate an Ivermectin biosynthetic gene cluster(ive).Ivermectins B1a and A1a were heterologously biosynthesized in a classic actinomyces host Streptomyces lividans.The Avermectin B1a high-producing strain S.avermitilis 3-115 was genetically engineered to give an artificial host cell and Ivermectin B1a single component was effectively produced with a production of 1.25±0.14 g/L. | Qian Deng Liqiongzi Xiao Yang Liu Lixin Zhang Zixin Deng Changming Zhao | 2019 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2019,4,1: | 3 |
| 4 | Experimental Study on Flow Boiling of Deionized Water in a Horizontal Long Small Channel显示文摘In this paper,an experimental investigation on the flow boiling heat transfer in a horizontal long mini-channel was carried out. The mini-channel was with 2 mm wide and 1 mm deep and 900 mm long. The material of the mini-channel was stainless. The working fluid was deionized water. The experiments were conducted with the conditions of inlet pressure in the range of 0.2~0.5 MPa, mass flux in the range of 196.57-548.96 kg/m2 s, and the outlet vapor quality in the range of 0.2 to 1. The heat flux was in the range of 292.86 kW/m2 to 788.48 kW/m2,respectively. The influences of mass flux and heat flux were studied. At a certain mass flow rate, the local heat transfer coefficient increased with the increase of the heat flux. If dry-out occurred in the mini-channel, the heat transfer coefficient decreased. At the same heat flux, the local heat transfer coefficient would depend on the mass flux. It would increase with the mass flux in a certain range,and then decrease if the mass flux was beyond this range. Experimental data were compared with the results of previous studies. Flow visualization and measurements were conducted to identify flow regime transitions. Results showed that there were eight different kinds of flow patterns occurring during the flow boiling. | 10 | The feasibility of using soil seed bank for natural regeneration of degraded sandy grasslands显示文摘Desertification in degraded grasslands is manifested through the development of bare sandy patches,which eventually lead to habitat fragmentation.The ability of these bare sandy patches to regenerate naturally through in-situ soil seed banks is not well understood.To fill this knowledge gap,we randomly selected 24 bare sandy patches with areas ranging from 19 to 898 m^(2) in a desertified grassland of the Horqin sandy land,Northern China to determine whether soil seed bank can be used for natural regeneration of bare sandy patches.Species composition and density of soil seed bank as well as aboveground vegetation composition,abundance and coverage were investigated.We then determined their relationships with in-situ habitat characteristics.Our observations showed that the studied area had low soil seed bank density and species richness,as well as depauperate soil seed bank communities.Consequently,local soil seed bank was not able to provide sufficient seed source for natural regeneration.This was indicated by the relationships between aboveground vegetation,soil seed bank and the in-situ habitat characteristics.For bare patches with an area between 300 m^(2) and 900 m^(2),increase the soil seed bank density and species richness should be the main restoration measures.For bare patches with a small area of less than 50 m^(2),restoration of vegetation density should be the main measure.Our data highlighted that different extents of desertification,indicated by different bare patches,are requiring distinct restoration measures. | Yongcui Wang Lei Chu Zhimin Liu MuSa Ala Jixiang Lin Jianqiang Qian Quanlai Zhou Lixin Wang | 2022 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2022,10,3: | 1 |
