1Solvent-Free Synthesis of Ultrafine Tungsten Carbide Nanoparticles-Decorated Carbon Nanosheets for Microwave Absorption显示文摘Carbides/carbon composites are emerging as a new kind of binary dielectric systems with good microwave absorption performance.Herein,we obtain a series of tungsten carbide/carbon composites through a simple solvent-free strategy,where the solid mixture of dicyandiamide(DCA)and ammonium metatungstate(AM)is employed as the precursor.Ultrafine cubic WC1-x nanoparticles(3-4 nm)are in situ generated and uniformly dispersed on carbon nanosheets.This configuration overcomes some disadvantages of conventional carbides/carbon composites and is greatly helpful for electromagnetic dissipation.It is found that the weight ratio of DCA to AM can regulate chemical composition of these composites,while less impact on the average size of WC1-x nanoparticles.With the increase in carbon nanosheets,the relative complex permittivity and dielectric loss ability are constantly enhanced through conductive loss and polarization relaxation.The different dielectric properties endow these composites with distinguishable attenuation ability and impedance matching.When DCA/AM weight ratio is 6.0,the optimized composite can produce good microwave absorption performance,whose strongest reflection loss intensity reaches up to-55.6 dB at 17.5 GHz and qualified absorption bandwidth covers 3.6-18.0 GHz by manipulating the thickness from 1.0 to 5.0 mm.Such a performance is superior to many conventional carbides/carbon composites.Yunlong Lian Binhua Han Dawei Liu Yahui Wang Honghong Zhao Ping Xu Xijiang Han Yunchen Du 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11:7
2Composition Optimization and Microstructure Design in MOFs-Derived Magnetic Carbon-Based Microwave Absorbers:A Review显示文摘Magnetic carbon-based composites are the most attractive candidates for electromagnetic(EM)absorption because they can terminate the propagation of surplus EM waves in space by interacting with both electric and magnetic branches.Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have demonstrated their great potential as sacrificing precursors of magnetic metals/carbon composites,because they provide a good platform to achieve high dispersion of magnetic nanoparticles in carbon matrix.Nevertheless,the chemical composition and microstructure of these composites are always highly dependent on their precursors and cannot promise an optimal EM state favorable for EM absorption,which more or less discount the superiority of MOFs-derived strategy.It is hence of great importance to develop some accompanied methods that can regulate EM properties of MOFs-derived magnetic carbon-based composites e ectively.This review comprehensively introduces recent advancements on EM absorption enhancement in MOFs-derived magnetic carbon-based composites and some available strategies therein.In addition,some challenges and prospects are also proposed to indicate the pending issues on performance breakthrough and mechanism exploration in the related field.Honghong Zhao Fengyuan Wang Liru Cui Xianzhu Xu Xijiang Han Yunchen Du 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,12:6
3Advances in core–shell engineering of carbon-based composites for electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘Electromagnetic(EM)absorption is paving the way to overcome the challenges related to conventional shielding strategy against EM pollution through sustainable energy dissipation.As characteristic functional media that can interact with electric or magnetic field branch,EM wave absorption materials(EWAMs)have received extensive attention and realized considerable development in the past two decades,where carbon-based composites are always considered as promising candidates for high-performance EMAWs due to their synergetic loss mechanism as well as diversified composition and microstructure design.Recent progress indicates that there is more and more interest in the fabrication of carbon-based composites with unique core–shell configuration.On one hand,core–shell configuration usually ensures good chemical homogeneity of final products and provides some positive protections for the components with susceptibility to corrosion,on the other hand,it creates enough heterogeneous interfaces between different EM components,which may bring enhanced polarization effect and intensify the consumption of EM energy.In this review,we firstly introduce EM wave absorption theory,and then highlight the advances of core–shell engineering in carbonbased composites in terms of built-in carbon cores and built-out carbon shells.Moreover,we also show some special core–shell carbon-based composites,including carbon/carbon composites,assembled composites,and decorated composites.After analyzing EM absorption performance of some representative composites,we further propose some challenges and perspectives on the development of core–shell carbon-based composites.Lixue Gai Honghong Zhao Fengyuan Wang Pan Wang Yonglei Liu Xijiang Han Yunchen Du 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:5
4Reduced graphene oxide aerogel decorated with Mo_(2)C nanoparticles toward multifunctional properties of hydrophobicity,thermal insulation and microwave absorption显示文摘Reduced graphene oxide(rGO)aerogels are emerging as very attractive scaffolds for high-performance electromagnetic wave absorption materials(EWAMs)due to their intrinsic conductive networks and intricate interior microstructure,as well as good compatibility with other electromagnetic(EM)components.Herein,we realized the decoration of rGO aerogel with Mo_(2)C nanoparticles by sequential hydrothermal assembly,freeze-drying,and high-temperature pyrolysis.Results show that Mo_(2)C nanoparticle loading can be easily controlled by the ammonium molybdate to glucose molar ratio.The hydrophobicity and thermal insulation of the rGO aerogel are effectively improved upon the introduction of Mo_(2)C nanoparticles,and more importantly,these nanoparticles regulate the EM properties of the rGO aerogel to a large extent.Although more Mo_(2)C nanoparticles may decrease the overall attenuation ability of the rGO aerogel,they bring much better impedance matching.At a molar ratio of 1:1,a desirable balance between attenuation ability and impedance matching is observed.In this context,the Mo_(2)C/r GO aerogel displays strong reflection loss and broad response bandwidth,even with a small applied thickness(1.7 mm)and low filler loading(9.0wt%).The positive effects of Mo_(2)C nanoparticles on multifunctional properties may render Mo_(2)C/r GO aerogels promising candidates for high-performance EWAMs under harsh conditions.Yahui Wang Minghui Zhang Xuesong Deng Zhigang Li Zongsheng Chen Jiaming Shi Xijiang Han Yunchen Du 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,3:2
5YPD-30, a prodrug of YPD-29B, is an oral small-molecule inhibitor targeting PD-L1 for the treatment of human cancer显示文摘PD-1 and PD-L1 antibodies have brought about extraordinary clinical benefits for cancer patients,and their indications are expanding incessantly.Currently,most PD-1/PD-L1 agents are administered intravenously,which may be uncomfortable for some cancer patients.Herein,we develop a novel oral-delivered small molecular,YPD-29B,which specifically targets human PD-L1.Our data suggested that YPD-29B could potently and selectively block the interaction between PD-L1 and PD-1,but did not inhibit any other immune checkpoints.Mechanistically,YPD-29B induced human PD-L1 dimerization and internalization,which subsequently activated T lymphocytes and therefore overcomes immunity tolerance in vitro.YDP-29B was modified as the YPD-30 prodrug to improve druggability.Using humanized mice with human PD-1 xenografts of human PD-L1 knock-in mouse MC38 cancer cells,we demonstrated that YPD-30 exhibited significant antitumor activity and was well tolerated in vivo.Taken together,our results indicate that YPD-30 serves as a promising therapeutic candidate for anti-human PD-L1 cancer immunotherapy.Fangfang Lai Ming Ji Lei Huang Yunchen Wang Nina Xue Tingting Du Kai Dong Xiaoqing Yao Jing Jin Zhiqiang Feng Xiaoguang Chen 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,6:1

7Polymer-bubbling for one-step synthesis of three-dimensional cobalt/carbon foams against electromagnetic pollution显示文摘Constructing three-dimensional(3D)foam-like structure in magnetic metal/carbon composites is regarded as a promising pathway to reinforce their electromagnetic(EM)functions.Herein,a nitrateassisted polymer-bubbling strategy is reported for the synthesis of Co/carbon foams,which is simply accomplished by direct pyrolyzing the mixture of polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)and cobalt nitrate hexahydrate(Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6 H_(2) O).Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O not only plays as the source of Co nanoparticles,but also accounts for the formation of 3D microstructure through releasing gas.By manipulating the weight ratio of Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O to PVP,the chemical composition,microstructure,and EM properties of these composites can be easily regulated.When the weight ratio reaches 1.5,the resultant composite displays good microwave absorption performance,whose reflection loss intensity and effective absorption bandwidth are superior to those of many common Co/C composites.EM analysis reveals that such architecture is greatly helpful to establish cross-linked conductive networks in the wax matrix,resulting in powerful dielectric loss under low absorber loading.Meanwhile,3D microstructure is also beneficial for multiple reflections that equal to extend the transmission path of incident EM waves.Simple synthesis strategy and desirable properties of these magnetic carbon foams may render them as the low-cost substitute of 3D graphene for the application against EM pollution.Fengyuan Wang Ping Xu Ning Shi Liru Cui Yahui Wang Dawei Liu Honghong Zhao Xijiang Han Yunchen Du 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,34:1

9A short note on the horizontal and vertical movements of a whale shark, Rhincodon typus, tracked by satellite telemetry in the South China Sea显示文摘Whale sharks,a global migratory species,are often reported entangled in fishing nets in coastal areas of Chi-na.The effectiveness of conservation measures has been constrained by very limited knowledge on their move-ments and preferred habitats in the coastal areas of China.For the first time,we tracked the movements of 2 whale sharks by satellite telemetry in China' Mainland.The tracking results of 1 whale shark revealed that it travelled in the South China Sea in a south-eastern direction,parallel to the eastern coast of Vietnam.Total dis-tance travelled was 1018 km,in approximately 74 days,with a mean speed of 14 km per day.It appeared to head towards the cool upwelling zones in southern Vietnam at the time of the tag’s detachment.In our study,it was observed that this whale shark was a surface dweller and spent approximately 45%of its time above 10 m water depth and 90%of its time above 50 m depth.It also tended to stay in water temperatures between 27 and 30°C,and was rarely recorded in water below 20°C.This preliminary study indicates the importance of shal-low waters as the foraging habitat for whale sharks,and has implications for their management and conserva-tion.Yamin WANG Wei LI Xiaoguang ZENG Yunchen CUI 2012Integrative Zoology2012,7,1:1

13A multi-omic landscape of steatosis-to-NASH progression显示文摘Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)has emerged as a major cause of liver failure and hepatocellular carcinoma.Investigation into the molecular mechanisms that underlie steatosis-to-NASH progression is key to understanding the development of NASH pathophysiology.Here,we present comprehensive multi-omic profiles of preclinical animal models to identify genes,non-coding RNAs,proteins,and plasma metabolites involved in this progression.In particular,by transcriptomics analysis,we identified Growth Differentiation Factor 3(GDF3)as a candidate noninvasive biomarker in NASH.Plasma GDF3 levels are associated with hepatic pathological features in patients with NASH,and differences in these levels provide a high diagnostic accuracy of NASH diagnosis(AUROC=0.90;95%confidence interval:0.85−0.95)with a good sensitivity(90.7%)and specificity(86.4%).In addition,by developing integrated proteomic-metabolomic datasets and performing a subsequent pharmacological intervention in a mouse model of NASH,we show that ferroptosis may be a potential target to treat NASH.Moreover,by using competing endogenous RNAs network analysis,we found that several miRNAs,including miR-582-5p and miR-292a-3p,and lncRNAs,including XLOC-085738 and XLOC-041531,are associated with steatosis-to-NASH progression.Collectively,our data provide a valuable resource into the molecular characterization of NASH progression,leading to the novel insight that GDF3 may be a potential noninvasive diagnostic biomarker for NASH while further showing that ferroptosis is a therapeutic target for the disease.Liping Xiang Xiaoyan Li Yunchen Luo Bing Zhou Yuejun Liu Yao Li Duojiao Wu Lijing Jia Pei-Wu Zhu Ming-Hua Zheng Hua Wang Yan Lu 2022Life Metabolism2022,1,3:0

15Magnetic field‐enhanced water splitting enabled by bifunctional molybdenum‐doped nickel sulfide on nickel foam显示文摘Herein,we report bifunctional molybdenum-doped nickel sulfide on nickel foam(Mo-NiS_(x)/NF)for magnetic field-enhanced overall water splitting under alkaline conditions.Proper doping of Mo can lead to optimization of the electronic structure of NiS_(x),which accelerates the dissociation of H2O and the adsorption of OH−in the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)processes,respectively.In addition,the magnetically active Mo-NiS_(x)/NF can further enhance the HER and OER activity under an applied magnetic field due to the magnetoresistance effect and the ferromagnetic(FM)exchange-field penetration effect.As a result,Mo-NiS_(x)/NF requires low overpotentials of 307 mV at 50mA cm^(−2)(for OER)and 136 mV at 10mA cm^(−2)(for HER)under a magnetic field of 10000 G.Furthermore,the electrolytic cell constructed by the bifunctional Mo-NiS_(x)/NFs as both the cathode and the anode shows a low cell voltage of 1.594 V at 10 mA cm^(−2)with optimal stability over 60 h under the magnetic field.Simultaneous enhancement of the HER and OER processes by an external magnetic field through rational design of electrocatalysts might be promising for overall water splitting applications.Yuanyuan Zhang Mengxin Chen Ping Guo Yunchen Du Bo Song Xianjie Wang Zaixing Jiang Ping Xu 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,10:0
16Underwater Sea Cucumber Target Detection Based on Edge-Enhanced Scaling YOLOv4显示文摘Sea cucumber detection is widely recognized as the key to automatic culture.The underwater light environment is complex and easily obscured by mud,sand,reefs,and other underwater organisms.To date,research on sea cucumber detection has mostly concentrated on the distinction between prospective objects and the background.However,the key to proper distinction is the effective extraction of sea cucumber feature information.In this study,the edge-enhanced scaling You Only Look Once-v4(YOLOv4)(ESYv4)was proposed for sea cucumber detection.By emphasizing the target features in a way that reduced the impact of different hues and brightness values underwater on the misjudgment of sea cucumbers,a bidirectional cascade network(BDCN)was used to extract the overall edge greyscale image in the image and add up the original RGB image as the detected input.Meanwhile,the YOLOv4 model for backbone detection is scaled,and the number of parameters is reduced to 48%of the original number of parameters.Validation results of 783images indicated that the detection precision of positive sea cucumber samples reached 0.941.This improvement reflects that the algorithm is more effective to improve the edge feature information of the target.It thus contributes to the automatic multi-objective detection of underwater sea cucumbers.Ziting Zhang Hang Zhang Yue Wang Tonghai Liu Yuxiang He Yunchen Tian 2023Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2023,32,3:0
