| 1 | Solvent-Free Synthesis of Ultrafine Tungsten Carbide Nanoparticles-Decorated Carbon Nanosheets for Microwave Absorption显示文摘Carbides/carbon composites are emerging as a new kind of binary dielectric systems with good microwave absorption performance.Herein,we obtain a series of tungsten carbide/carbon composites through a simple solvent-free strategy,where the solid mixture of dicyandiamide(DCA)and ammonium metatungstate(AM)is employed as the precursor.Ultrafine cubic WC1-x nanoparticles(3-4 nm)are in situ generated and uniformly dispersed on carbon nanosheets.This configuration overcomes some disadvantages of conventional carbides/carbon composites and is greatly helpful for electromagnetic dissipation.It is found that the weight ratio of DCA to AM can regulate chemical composition of these composites,while less impact on the average size of WC1-x nanoparticles.With the increase in carbon nanosheets,the relative complex permittivity and dielectric loss ability are constantly enhanced through conductive loss and polarization relaxation.The different dielectric properties endow these composites with distinguishable attenuation ability and impedance matching.When DCA/AM weight ratio is 6.0,the optimized composite can produce good microwave absorption performance,whose strongest reflection loss intensity reaches up to-55.6 dB at 17.5 GHz and qualified absorption bandwidth covers 3.6-18.0 GHz by manipulating the thickness from 1.0 to 5.0 mm.Such a performance is superior to many conventional carbides/carbon composites. | Yunlong Lian Binhua Han Dawei Liu Yahui Wang Honghong Zhao Ping Xu Xijiang Han Yunchen Du | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11: | 7 |
| 2 | Silencing of PRR11 suppresses cell proliferation and induces autophagy in NSCLC cells显示文摘Our previous studies have demonstrated that proline-rich protein 11(PRR11)is a novel tumor-related gene and implicates in regulating the proliferation in lung cancer.However,its precise role in cell cycle progression remains unclear.Our recent evidences show that PRR11 silencing has an effect on autophagy in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cells.Two human NSCLC cell lines,H1299 and A549 were transiently transfected with against PRR11 siRNA.The Cell Counting Kit-8 and plate clone formation assay showed that downregulation of PRR11 inhibited the cell proliferation associated with cell cycle related genes reduced.And our data suggested that PRR11 depletion expression enhanced the autophagosomes formation,followed with downregulation of P62 and upregulation of LC3-II protein.Furthermore,the immunoblotting results indicated that silencing of PRR11 inactivated the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.Collectively,these results demonstrated PRR11 had an effective role in autophagy in NSCLC cells through Akt/mTOR autophagy signaling pathways.Therefore,it is helpful to clarify the function of PRR11 in tumorigenesis of NSCLC. | Lian Zhang Yunlong Lei Ying Zhang Yi Li Youquan Bu Fangzhou Song Chundong Zhang | 2018 | Genes & Diseases2018,5,2: | 6 |

| 4 | PRR11 induces filopodia formation and promotes cell motility via recruiting ARP2/3 complex in non-small cell lung cancer cells显示文摘Filopodia, a finger-like structure and actin-rich plasma-membrane protrusion at the leading edge of the cell, has important roles in cell motility. However, the mechanisms of filopodia generation are not well-understood via the actin-related protein 2/3 (ARP2/3) complex in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) cells. We previously have demonstrated that PRR11 associates with the ARP2/3 complex to regulate cytoskeleton-nucleoskeleton assembly and chromatin remodeling. In this study, we further demonstrate that PRR11 involves in filopodia formation, focal adhesion turnover and cell motility through ARP2/3 complex. Cell phenotype assays revealed that the silencing of PRR11 increased cellular size and inhibited cell motility in NSCLC cells. Mechanistically, PRR11 recruited and co-localized with Arp2 at the membrane protrusion to promote filopodia formation but not lamellipodia formation. Notably, PRR11 mutant deletion of the proline-rich region 2 (amino acid residues 185–200) abrogated the effect of filopodia formation. In addition, PRR11-depletion inhibited filopodial actin filaments assembly and increased the level of active integrin β1 in the cell surface, whereas reduced the phosphorylation level of focal adhesion kinase (FAKY397) to repress focal adhesion turnover and cell motility in NSCLC cells. | 7 | Biological Effects of Sunflower Seeds Implanted by Carbon Ion显示文摘[Objective]This study aimed to investigate the effects of carbon ion implantation and implantation times on growth and genetic variation of sunflowers. [Method]Carbon ions were implanted into Bakui 138,Bakui 136 and Bakui 118 seeds at dose of 5×1013 C/cm2,before they were planted. Their F1-generation seeds were irradiated again. Seeds of the both generations were planted and the growth of the seedlings was observed in field tests. Finally,their genetic variation was analyzed through RAPD. [Result] The germination rate and several agronomic traits like plant height,stem diameter,leaf number and yields of Bakui 138 of once-irradiated group were significantly improved,while that of twice-irradiated group showed opposite trend. The variation of Bakui 136 and Bakui 118 was insignificant. At the molecular level,the genetic distance with the control group of once and twice-irradiated groups was 0. 111 1,0. 108 7 in Bakui 138; 0. 068 0, 0. 030 3 in Bakui 136 and 0. 062 5,0. 043 5 in Bakui 118. [Conclusion]Carbon ion implantation had a significant effect on the growth and development of Bakui 138,and the effect varied with irradiation times. | 8 | Combination of Se-methylselenocysteine,D-α-tocopheryl succinate,β-carotene,and L-lysine can prevent cancer metastases using as an adjuvant therapy显示文摘Objective:Primary tumor treatment through surgical resection and adjuvant therapy has been extensively studied,but there is a lack of effective strategies and drugs for the treatment of tumor metastases.Here,we describe a functional product based on a combination of compounds,which can be used as an adjuvant therapy and has well-known mechanisms for inhibiting cancer metastases,improving anti-cancer treatment,and enhancing immunity and antioxidant capacity.Our designed combination,named MVBL,consists of four inexpensive compounds:L-selenium-methylselenocysteine(MSC),D-α-tocopheryl succinic acid(VES),β-carotene(β-Ca),and L-lysine(Lys).Methods:The effects of MVBL on cell viability,cell cycle,cell apoptosis,cell migration,cell invasion,reactive oxygen species(ROS),and paclitaxel(PTX)-combined treatment were studied in vitro.The inhibition of tumor metastasis,antioxidation,and immune enhancement capacity of MVBL were determined in vivo.Results:MVBL exhibited higher toxicity to tumor cells than to normal cells.It did not significantly affect the cell cycle of cancer cells,but increased their apoptosis.Wound healing,adhesion,and transwell assays showed that MVBL significantly inhibited tumor cell migration,adhesion,and invasion.MVBL sensitized MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells to PTX,indicating that it can be used as an adjuvant to enhance the therapeutic effect of chemotherapy drugs.In mice,experimental data showed that MVBL inhibited tumor metastasis,prolonged their survival time,and enhanced their antioxidant capacity and immune function.Conclusions:This study revealed the roles of MVBL in improving immunity and antioxidation,preventing tumor growth,and inhibiting metastasis in vitro and in vivo.MVBL may be used as an adjuvant drug in cancer therapy for improving the survival and quality of life of cancer patients. | Yunlong CHENG Shu LIAN Shuhui LI Yusheng LU Jie WANG Xiaoxiao DENG Shengyi ZHAI Lee JIA | 2022 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,11: | 0 |
