1Room temperature phosphorescence from natural products: Crystallization matters显示文摘Efficient room temperature phosphorescence is observed in natural compounds and polymers such as starch, cellulose, bovine serum albumin (BSA), and some other carbohydrates. Whereas being practically nonluminescent in solutions and TLC plates, they emit bright phosphorescence in the crystalline states with lifetime up to microseconds, exhibiting crystallization-induced phosphorescence (CIP) characteristics. 2Crystallization-induced phosphorescence of benzils at room temperature显示文摘Efficient room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) is rarely observed in pure organic luminogens. However, we have newly observed that benzil and its derivatives are nonluminescent in solvents and thin layer chromatography (TLC) plates, but become highly phosphorescent in crystal state at room temperature, exhibiting typical crystallization-induced phosphorescence (CIP) characteristics. The CIP phenomenon is ascribed to the restriction of intramolecular rotations in crystals owing to effective intermolecular interactions. 3Detection of the critical micelle concentration of cationic and anionic surfactants based on aggregation-induced emission property of hexaphenylsilole derivatives显示文摘We report a fluorescence 'turn-on' method to detect the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of surfactants. This method works well for both cationic and anionic surfactants. It employs an unprecedented mechanism (aggregation-induced emission, or AIE) to determine the CMC values, and the results are consistent with the data obtained by the classical techniques. In addition, this method renders the convenient detection of the CMC values. Any large and professional instruments are unnecessary, instead, a portable UV lamp and an ultrasonic generator are enough to carry out the detection in an ordinary laboratory. Considering that micelles are interesting entities and have found applications in many important fields such as emulsion polymerization, template of nanosized materials synthesis, controllable drug delivery and macromolecular self-assembling. 41-((12-Bromododecyl)oxy)-4-((4-(4-pentylcyclohexyl)phenyl)ethynyl) benzene: Liquid crystal with aggregation-induced emission characteristics显示文摘The luminescent liquid crystals (LLCs) are expected to solve the conflicts between the aggregation caused quenching and the requirement of aggregation or self-organization for LCs. Herein, we developed a new strategy of applying aggregation-induced emission (AIE) phenomenon to the molecular design of LCs towards LLCs. In this report, a calamitic liquid crystal based on tolane with AIE characteristics was successfully synthesized and the chemical structure was characterized by 1H, 13C NMR, and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) high-resolution mass spectra. The fluorescence behavior was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy and the liquid crystal phase behaviors were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarized optical microscopy (POM). The crystal structure was obtained by X-ray diffraction crystallography with P1 space group. 5Utilization of A New Microbial Transglutaminase from Streptomyces for The Formation of Edible Soybean Protein Films显示文摘Soybean protein isolate(SPI) was used to investigate the formation of edible protein films through an enzymatic cross-linking method with a purified microbial transglutaminse(MTG) produced and purified from a new effective strain Streptomyces sp.WZFF.L-M1 preserved in my laboratory,followed by the addition of glycerol and suitable heating and drying treatments.Cheaper partially-purified skimmed soybean protein powder(SSP) and whey protein isolates(WPI) were used as the substitutes partially replacing the expensive SPI products,and purified β-lactoglobulin was taken as the positive control of WPI.The effects of the concentrations of the three substitutes and their relative ratios have been compared with SPI as a control,and the methodologies of MTG treatment were examined.Attempts have also been approached for the films formation-enhancing substances such as glycerol.As the results,the three alternatives could also form high efficient edible films in the optimal operation conditions experimented.Those films made with SPI alternatives,thin around 50 μm,had the microscopic homogenous network structures,without any holes by naked eye.The tests for the properties of these films showed that they had high water-keeping capacity and strong elasticity,that the ultimate tensile sterength(TS)and the elongation at break(Eb) had been remarkably increased(TS>5 MPa,Eb>50%,respectively),and that the prevention rates against the permeability of water vapor and oxygen in air were also upgraded more than 85% and 70%,respectively.WangZhang 2002中国粮油学报2002,17,G00:2

10The Principles for Discrimination of the Source Composition of Mantle-Derived Igneous Rocks and the Nature of the Mantle Source Region of the Emeishan Basalts显示文摘This paper discusses the discrimination principles. deduction and methods for probing into the source composition of mantle-derived magma. The magmatophile (incompatible) source elements are not all optimal tracers for mantle source composition. The ratios of two strong magmatophile elements (D<1) or the ratios of two trace elements with the same D value are not controlled by the formation mode and evolution degree of a magma, but maintain the characteristics of their composition in mantle source region prior to the magma formation. The ratios are related to different mantle-crust structures and dynamics. The mantle source composition of the Emeishan Basalt series is similar to that of the South Atlantic Rio Grande Rise-Walvis Ridge Basalts and Brazil continental-margin basalts. 11High efficiency D-A structured luminogen with aggregation-induced emission and mechanochromic characteristics显示文摘A novel luminogen, CZ2TPAN, with typical D-A architecture was obtained. It shows intramolecular charge transfer and aggregation-induced emission characteristics with high solid-state efficiency of 65.3%. 13D-A structured high efficiency solid luminogens with tunable emissions: Molecular design and photophysical properties显示文摘Fabrication of efficient solid luminogens with tunable emission is both fundamentally significant and technically important. Herein, based on our previous strategy for the construction of efficient and multifunctional solid luminogens through the combination of diverse aggregation-induced emission(AIE) units with other functional moieties, a group of luminophores with electron donor-acceptor(D-A)structure and typical intramolecular charge transfer(ICT) characteristics, namely CZ-DCDPP, DPA-DCDPP and DBPA-DCDPP were synthesized and investigated. The presence of twisting and AIE-active 2,3-dicyano-5,6-diphenylpyrazine(DCDPP) moiety endows them highly emissive in the solid states, whereas the introduction of arylamines with varied electron-donating capacity and different conjugation render them with tunable solid emissions from green to red. While CZ-DCDPP and DPA-DCDPP solids exhibit distinct mechanochromism, both DPA-DCDPP and DBPA-DCDPP solids can generate efficient red emission. 14Crystallization-induced phosphorescence, remarkable mechanochromism, and grinding enhanced emission of benzophenone-aromatic amine conjugates显示文摘Pure organic luminogens with efficient room temperature phosphorescence(RTP) and remarkable mechanochromism are highly desired in view of their fundamental significance and technical applications. Herein, four twisted pure organic luminogens based on benzophenone and aromatic amines were synthesized and their photophysical properties were thoroughly investigated. They exhibit crystallization-induced phosphorescence(CIP), giving bright fluorescence and phosphorescence dual emission in crystals. Upon grinding, they become amorphous and emit predominantly red-shifted fluorescence, demonstrating remarkable mechanochromism.
