1Global methane and nitrous oxide emissions from terrestrial ecosystems due to multiple environmental changes显示文摘Greenhouse gas(GHG)-induced climate change is among the most pressing sustainability challenges facing humanity today,posing serious risks for ecosystem health.Methane(CH_(4))and nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)are the two most important GHGs after carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),but their regional and global budgets are not well known.In this study,we applied a process-based coupled biogeochemical model to concurrently estimate the magnitude and spatial and temporal patterns of CH_(4)and N_(2)O fluxes as driven by multiple environmental changes,including climate variability,rising atmospheric CO_(2),increasing nitrogen deposition,tropospheric ozone pollution,land use change,and nitrogen fertilizer use.The estimated CH_(4)and N_(2)O emissions from global land ecosystems during 1981-2010 were 144.39±12.90 Tg C/yr(mean 62 SE;1 Tg=1012 g)and 12.52±0.74 Tg N/yr,respectively.Our simulations indicated a significant(P,0.01)annually increasing trend for CH_(4)(0.43±0.06 Tg C/yr)and N_(2)O(0.14±0.02 Tg N/yr)in the study period.CH_(4)and N_(2)O emissions increased significantly in most climatic zones and continents,especially in the tropical regions and Asia.The most rapid increase in CH_(4)emission was found in natural wetlands and rice fields due to increased rice cultivation area and climate warming.N_(2)O emission increased substantially in all the biome types and the largest increase occurred in upland crops due to increasing air temperature and nitrogen fertilizer use.Clearly,the three major GHGs(CH_(4),N_(2)O,and CO_(2))should be simultaneously considered when evaluating if a policy is effective to mitigate climate change.Hanqin Tian Guangsheng Chen Chaoqun Lu Xiaofeng Xu Wei Ren Bowen Zhang Kamaljit Banger Bo Tao Shufen Pan Mingliang Liu Chi Zhang Lori Bruhwiler Steven Wofsy 2015Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2015,1,1:7
2Modeling of Soot Formation in Gas Burner Using Reduced Chemical Kinetics Coupled with CFD Code显示文摘A computational study of soot formation in ethylene/air coflow jet diffusion flame at atmospheric pres-sure was conducted using a reduced mechanism and soot formation model. A 20-step mechanism was derived from the full mechanism using sensitivity analysis,reaction path analysis and quasi steady state(QSS) approximation. The model in premixed flame was validated and with computing savings in diffusion flame was applied by incor-porating into a CFD code. Simulations were performed to explore the effect of coflow air on flame structure and soot formation. Thermal radiation was calculated by a discrete-ordinates method,and soot formation was predicted by a simple two-equation soot model. Model results are in good agreement with those from experiment data and detailed mechanism at atmospheric conditions. The soot nucleation,growth,and oxidation by OH are all enhanced by decrease in coflow air velocity. 3Influence of macroscopic graphite particulates on the damping properties of Zn-Al eutectoid alloy显示文摘The paper presents in detail the effects of macroscopic graphite (Gr) particulates on the damping behavior of Zn-Al eutectoid alloy (Zn-Al). Macroscopic defects are graphite particulates with sizes of the order of a millimeter (0.5 mm and 1.0 mm). Macroscopic graphite particulate-reinforced Zn-Al eutectoid alloys were prepared by the air pressure infiltration process. The damping characterization was conducted on a multifunction internal friction apparatus (MFIFA). The internal friction (IF), as well as the relative dynamic modulus, was measured at different frequencies over the temperature range of 20 to 400℃. The damping capacity of the Zn-Al/Gr, with two different volume fractions of macroscopic graphite particulates, was compared with that of bulk Zn-Al eutectoid alloy. The damping capacity of the materials is shown to increase with increasing volume fraction of macroscopic graphite particulates. Two IF peaks were found in the IF-temperature curves. The first is a grain boundary peak, which is associated with the diffusive flux on a boundary between like phases, Al/Al. Its activation energy has been calculated to be 1.13±0.03 eV and the pre-exponential factor is 10?14 s in IF measurements. The second is a phase transition peak, which results from the transformation of Zn-Al eutectoid. 4Microbiota-gut-brain axis and nutritional strategy under heat stress显示文摘Heat stress is a very universal stress event in recent years.Various lines of evidence in the past literatures indicate that gut microbiota composition is susceptible to variable temperature.A varied microbiota is necessary for optimal regulation of host signaling pathways and disrupting microbiota-host homeostasis that induces disease pathology.The microbiota-gut-brain axis involves an interactive mode of communication between the microbes colonizing the gut and brain function.This review summarizes the effects of heat stress on intestinal function and microbiota-gut-brain axis.Heat stress negatively affects intestinal immunity and barrier functions.Microbiota-gut-brain axis is involved in the homeostasis of the gut microbiota,at the same time,heat stress affects the metabolites of microbiota which could alter the function of microbiota-gut-brain axis.We aim to bridge the evidence that the microbiota is adapted to survive and thrive in an extreme environment.Additionally,nutritional strategies for alleviating intestinal heat stress are introduced.Chaoyue Wen Siyu Wei Xin Zong Yizhen Wang Mingliang Jin 2021Animal Nutrition2021,,4:2
5Corrosion Behavior of Anodic Oxidized TiO_2 Film in Seawater显示文摘TiO2 films were formed on metallic titanium substrates by the anodic oxidation method in H2SO4 solution under the 80V D.C..Phase component and microstructure were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Water contact angles on titanium oxide film surface were measured under both dark and sunlight illumination conditions.Corrosion tests were carried out in seawater under different illumination conditions by electrochemistry impedance spectrum (EIS) and polarization curves.The result showed that the TiO2 film prepared by the anodic oxidation method was anatase with a uniform structure and without obvious pores or cracks on its surface.The average water contact angle of the film was 116.4? in dark, in contrast to an angle of 42.7? under the UV illumination for 2 hours, which demonstrates good hydrophobic property.The anti-corrosion behavior of the TiO2 film was declining with the extended immersion time.Under dark conditions, however, the hydrophobic TiO2 film retarded the water infiltrating into the substrate.The impedance changed slowly and the corrosion current density was 2 orders of magnitude lower than that with the film illuminated by sunlight.All of those mentioned above indicate that the TiO2 film possesses much better performance under dark condition, and it can be applied as an engineering material under dark seawater environment.WANG Min WANG Wei HE Benlin SUN Mingliang YIN Yansheng LIU Lan ZOU Wuyuan XU Xuefei 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,4:2

7bZIP71 delays flowering by suppressing Ehd1 expression in rice显示文摘Flowering time is a fundamental factor determining the global distribution and final yield of rice(Oryza sativa).Although diverse flowering time genes have been reported in this crop,the transcriptional regulation of its key flowering genes are poorly understood.Here,we report that a basic leucine zipper transcription factor,bZIP71,functions as a flowering repressor.The overexpression of bZIP71 delays flowering,while the bzip71 mutant flowers early in both long-day and short-day conditions.A genetic analysis showed that the regulation of flowering by bZIP71 might be independent of Heading date 2(Hd2),Hd4,and Hd5.Importantly,bZIP71 directly associates with the Early heading date 1(Ehd1)promoter and represses its transcription,and genetically the function of bZIP71 is impaired in the ehd1 mutant.Moreover,bZIP71 interacts with major components of polycomb repressive complex 2(PRC2),SET domain group protein 711(SDG711),and Fertilization independent endosperm 2(FIE2),through which bZIP71 regulates the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1.Taken together,we present a transcriptional regulatory mechanism in which bZIP71 enhances the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1 and transcriptionally represses its expression,which not only offers a novel insight into a flowering pathway,but also provides a valuable putative target for the genetic engineering and breeding of elite rice cultivars.Xiufeng Li Xiaojie Tian Mingliang He Xinxin Liu Zhiyong Li Jiaqi Tang Enyang Mei Min Xu Yingxiang Liu Zhenyu Wang Qingjie Guan Wei Meng Jun Fang Jian Zhang Qingyun Bu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7:2
8Study on the Clouds Detected by a Millimeter-Wave Cloud Radar over the Hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert in April–June 2018显示文摘This study was the first to conduct high-resolution consecutive detection of clouds over the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert(TD)from April to June 2018 based on a ground-based Ka-band millimeter-wave cloud radar(MMCR),with focus on the structure and evolution of the desert clouds.We calculated reflectivity factor(Z),cloud boundary,and liquid water content(LWC)by use of the MMCR power spectrum data,which were verified against the observations from cloud profile radar(CPR)on board Cloud Sat.The results show that the TD clouds were mostly medium and high clouds,with thickness generally less than 2 km;moreover,the mean LWCs of these clouds were less than 0.01 gm^(-3),implying that cirrus and stratiform clouds were predominant.For the observed low clouds,however,the average thickness was 3166 m and accompanying drizzles were concentrated within 2.5-4.5 km,indicating that precipitation was more likely to occur in the low clouds.The mean LWC in the TD clouds was 0.0196 gm^(-3),less than that of clean clouds.Compared to other periods,the average durations and LWCs in the TD clouds increased significantly around noon owing to obvious surface sensible heating.The average time for evolution of high clouds into low clouds was approximately 2 h,and the average maximum LWC increased from 0.008 to 0.139 gm;.The results obtained herein provide a key reference for further studies of the structure and evolution characteristics of the desert clouds.Hu MING Minzhong WANG Ming WEI Yinjun WANG Xiaochen HOU Mingliang GAO 2021Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,6:2
9Inhibition of the spread of endophytic Sporisorium reilianum renders maize resistance to head smut显示文摘Head smut, caused by the fungal pathogen Sporisorium reilianum, poses a grave threat to maize(Zea mays) production worldwide. Here we report cytological and molecular evidence for maize resistance to head smut. During early stages of root infection, S. reilianum mycelium was capable of penetrating the root epidermis of both resistant(Ji1037) and susceptible(HZ4) inbred lines. S. reilianum hyphae were observed in the root–stem junction at 6 days after inoculation. In an attempt to monitor hyphal spread within the maize plant,a highly specific and sensitive real-time PCR method was established to estimate the hyphal content in infected maize tissues. During the upward growth of endophytic S.reilianum, the extent of hyphal spread was markedly different between Ji1037 and HZ4. Very little or no pathogen was detected in aerial parts of Ji1037, whereas large amounts of pathogen accumulated in aboveground tissues, particularly inflorescences, of HZ4. 12Single-molecule imaging reveals the stoichiometry change of epidermal growth factor receptor during transactivation by β_2-adrenergic receptor显示文摘Stimulation of G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs) can lead to the transactivation of the epidermal growth factor receptors(EGFR). The cross-communication between the two signaling pathways regulates several important physiological or pathological processes. However, the molecule mechanism underlying EGFR transactivation remains poorly understood. Here, we aim to study the GPCR-mediated EGFR transactivation process using the single-molecule fluorescence imaging and tracking approach.We found that although EGFR existed as monomers at the plasma membrane of resting cells, they became dimers and thus diffused slower following the activation of β2-adrenergic receptor(β2-AR) by isoproterenol(ISO). We further proved thatβ2-AR-mediated changes of EGFR in stoichiometry and dynamics were mediated by Src kinase. 15Ultra-broadband,fast,and polarization-sensitive photoresponse of low-symmetry 2D NdSb_(2)显示文摘Broadband photodetectors with polarization-sensitive ability have received extraordinary attention for modern optoelectronic devices.Ideal photodetectors should possess high responsivity,fast response,and good stability,which are rare to meet at the same time in one low-symmetric two-dimentional(2D)material.In this work,neodymium diantimonides(RSb_(2)),a member of light rare-earth diantimonides RSb_(2)(R=La–Nd,Sm)with low-symmetry structure,is introduced as a fascinating highly anisotropic 2D material for broadband detection(532 nm to 4μm).The photodetector exhibits a responsivity of 0.49 mA·W^(−1)with 15μs response time at 532 nm and highly stable performance under ambient conditions over 8 months.Furthermore,we identify the polarization-sensitive photoresponse of the detector and demonstrate a high anisotropic factor~1.6.In addition,strong inplane anisotropy is revealed by anisotropic phonon response and the photodetection mechanism is investigated by scanning photocurrent microscopy measurements.This pioneer work on RSb_(2)paves the way for further exploration of 2D RSb_(2)for high performance polarized photodetectors with fast photothermoelectric response.Gang Li Hanlin Zhang Yong Li Shiqi Yin Xucai Kan Wensen Wei Haifeng Du Binghui Ge Chao An Mingliang Tian Feng Yan Sanjun Yang Tianyou Zhai Liang Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1

19Capacitive properties of low potential electro-polymerized polyfluorene and activated carbon composite electrode显示文摘Polyfluorene (PF) film has been successfully electropolymerized at lower potential (0.91 V vs.Ag/AgCl) in the mixed electrolyte of boron trifluoride diethyl etherate and trifluoroacetic acid.The PF film is characterized to have about 10 repeat units and no presence of ketonic defect site.UV-vis and photoluminescent spectral studies indicate that the PF film is blue light emitting.From cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests in 1 M lithium perchlorate/acetonitrile electrolyte,the polyfluorene/activated carbon electrode shows a specific capacitance of 227.1 F g-1 (per active layer mass) and reversible redox reaction at the potential of 1.4 V in a three electrode configuration.An asymmetric electrochemical capacitor based on this composite electrode and activated carbon electrode exhibits a specific energy of 14.7 Wh kg-1 (per active layer mass).These results indicate that electrochemically prepared polyfluorene could be used as energy storage component for electrochemical application.LIU Wei SUN MingLiang WANG Wei SONG LingXia GE HongLun SUN Miao ZHANG QingJie 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,3:1
