1Adsorption of VOCs on reduced graphene oxide显示文摘A modified Hummer's method was adopted for the synthesis of graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(rGO). It was revealed that the modified method is effective for the production of GO and rGO from graphite. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images of GO and rGO showed a sheet-like morphology. Because of the presence of oxygenated functional groups on the carbon surface, the interlayer spacing of the prepared GO was higher than that of rGO. The presence of \OH and C_O groups in the Fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR) spectrum and G-mode and 2D-mode in Raman spectra confirmed the synthesis of GO and rGO. rGO(292.6 m^2/g) showed higher surface area than that of GO(236.4 m^2/g). The prepared rGO was used as an adsorbent for benzene and toluene(model pollutants of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)) under dynamic adsorption/desorption conditions. rGO showed higher adsorption capacity and breakthrough times than GO. The adsorption capacity of rGO for benzene and toluene was 276.4 and 304.4 mg/g, respectively.Desorption experiments showed that the spent rGO can be successfully regenerated by heating at 150.0°C. 5Ribbon bridge in waves based on hydroelasticity theory显示文摘For the design and operation of a floating bridge,the understanding of its hydroelastic behavior in waves is of great importance.This paper investigated the hydroelastic performances of a ribbon bridge under wave action.A brief introduction on the estimation of dynamic responses of the floating bridge and the comparisons between the experiments and estimation were presented.Based on the 3D hydroelasticity theory,the hydroelastic behavior of the ribbon bridge modeled by finite element method(FEM)was analyzed by employing the mode superposition method.And the relevant comparisons between the numerical results and experimental data obtained from one tenth scale elastic model test in the ocean basin were made.It is found that the present method is applicable and adaptable for predicting the hydroelastic response of the floating bridge in waves.Cong WANG Shixiao FU Weicheng CUI 2009Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2009,3,1:1
6The instability of a stable metal-organic framework in amino acid solutions显示文摘Metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)are being investigated as the potential materials for future drug delivery and gene therapy systems thanks to their tunable functionality and biocompatibility.However,the structure of MOFs could be altered in a biological environment or in a buffer solution.It is of great importance to evaluate the stability of MOFs and understand the degradation processes for the sake of the biomedical applications.In this work,we investigate the stability of UiO-66,a generally-perceived stable MOF,in different amino acid solutions.We find that UiO-66 loses crystallinity in relatively mild basic conditions(when pH≥9)in the presence of amino acids.The instability is more pronounced in the lysine and arginine solutions which have stronger basicity.It can be attributed to the accelerated ligand exchange of UiO-66 under basic conditions.With a combination of techniques,we show that the amino acids can replace the organic linkers and form zirconium-amino acid complexes.Our research reveals one possible mechanism of MOF degradation in biological environment,yet such degradability could be also an important designable property for MOFs in biomedical applications.Yiran Wang Jinglin Yin Weicheng Cao Yao Fu Xueqian Kong 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:0
7Phonon damping in one-dimensional lattices with asymmetric interactions显示文摘The symmetry of interparticle interaction plays an important role in determining the energy transport and diffusion behavior of one-dimensional(1D) lattices, not only in the process of hydrodynamics but also in the process of kinetics. In this paper, we study the relaxation properties of phonons in 1D lattices with asymmetric and symmetric interparticle interactions, exemplified by the famous Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou model. Asymmetric interparticle interactions(AIIs) lead to larger damping rates of phonons as compared to symmetric ones in the low-temperature limit, and the difference gradually vanishes when the temperature increases. Moreover, in lattices with AIIs, the dependence of the damping rate Γ of phonons still follows a power-law on the wave number q, i.e., Γ ~q^(γ) for small q. In particular, at low temperatures, AIIs result in γ ≈ 1, which is out of the predictions of 3/2 ≤ γ ≤ 2 from various theories. 9Efficacy of repeated intravenous esketamine in adolescents with anxious versus non-anxious depression显示文摘Background Patients with anxious major depressive disorder(MDD)are more likely to have poorer outcomes than those with non-anxious MDD.However,the effect of esketamine on adolescents with anxious versus non-anxious MDD has remained unknown.Aims We compared the efficacy of esketamine in adolescents with MDD and suicidal ideation,both anxious and non-anxious.Methods Fifty-four adolescents with anxious(n=33)and non-anxious(n=21)MDD received three infusions of esketamine 0.25mg/kg or active-placebo(midazolam 0.045 mg/kg)over 5 days,with routine inpatient care and treatment.Suicidal ideation and depressive symptoms were assessed using the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale and the Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale.Multiple-sample proportional tests were used to compare the differences between groups on treatment outcomes 24 hours after the final infusion(day 6,primacy efficacy endpoint)and throughout the 4-week post-treatment(days 12,19 and 33).Results In subjects who received esketamine,a greater number of patients in the non-anxious group than the anxious group achieved antisuicidal remission on day 6(72.7%vs 18.8%,p=0.015)and day 12(90.9%vs 43.8%,p=0.013),and the non-anxious group had a higher antidepressant remission rate compared with the anxious group on day 33(72.7%vs 26.7%,p=0.045).No significant differences in treatment outcomes were observed between the anxious and non-anxious groups at other time points.Conclusions Three infusions of esketamine as an adjunct to routine inpatient care and treatment had a greater immediate post-treatment antisuicidal effect in adolescents with non-anxious MDD than in those with anxious MDD;however,this benefit was temporary and was not maintained over time.Xiaofeng Lan Chengyu Wang Fan Zhang Haiyan Liu Ling Fu Weicheng Li Yanxiang Ye Zhibo Hu Siming Mai Yuping Ning Yanling Zhou 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,3:0
10Characterization of grain cadmium concentration in indica hybrid rice显示文摘As a consequence of contamination of soil with heavy metals,cadmium accumulation in grain is of great concern worldwide,but especially in southern China.It is important to evaluate the Cd accumulation potential of grain before or when examining and approving new cultivars.An evaluation method and criteria for verifying Cd accumulation potential in rice are proposed,and the Cd accumulation potential of 56 mid-season indica hybrids collected from the provincial cultivar trials in 2016 were investigated.Genotype,environment and their interactions strongly affected the variation in grain Cd accumulation.Two hybrids were identified as slightly Cd accumulating.Hybrids with slight Cd accumulation potential would be suitable for safe grain production on polluted land(total Cd under 2.0 mg$kg–1)in Hunan Province(China)and should be considered for new cultivar evaluation and approval.This evaluation method and criterion could be applied for certifying Cd accumulation potential of rice cultivars.Kai WANG Qunfeng ZHOU Tianze YAN Shilong XU Longyi ZHAO Weicheng WANG Zhigang JIN Peng QIN Chenjian FU Liangbi CHEN Yuanzhu YANG 2020Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2020,7,4:0
