1Genetic and biological characteristics of the globally circulating H5N8 avian influenza viruses and the protective efficacy offered by the poultry vaccine currently used in China显示文摘The H5N8 avian influenza viruses have been widely circulating in wild birds and are responsible for the loss of over 33 million domestic poultry in Europe, Russia, Middle East, and Asia since January 2020. To monitor the invasion and spread of the H5N8 virus in China, we performed active surveillance by analyzing 317 wild bird samples and swab samples collected from 41,172 poultry all over the country. We isolated 22 H5N8 viruses from wild birds and 14 H5N8 viruses from waterfowls. Genetic analysis indicated that the 36 viruses formed two different genotypes: one genotype viruses were widely detected from different wild birds and domestic waterfowls;the other genotype was isolated from a whopper swan. We further revealed the origin and spatiotemporal spread of these two distinct H5N8 virus genotypes in 2020 and 2021. Animal studies indicated that the H5N8 isolates are highly pathogenic to chickens, mildly pathogenic in ducks, but have distinct pathotypes in mice. Moreover, we found that vaccinated poultry in China could be completely protected against H5N8 virus challenge. 2Efficacy of acupuncture therapy for improving anorexia in tumor patients:a Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To use evidence-based medicine to systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture therapy for improving anorexia in tumor patients.METHODS:We queried the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(CNKI),China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),Wanfang Data,Pub Med,Cochrane Library,and Embase databases to identify reports of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)that applied acupuncture therapy to improve anorexia in tumor patients,and used Rev Man 5.3 software to conduct a Meta-analysis of the effective rate,appetite score,Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)score,Functional Assessment of Anorexia/Cachexia Therapy(FAACT)appetite scale,and body weight in each study.Subgroup analysis was conducted based on whether radiotherapy or chemotherapy were also administered.RESULTS:A total of 10 RCTs were included with a total of 648 patients,including 343 patients in the treatment group and 305 patients in the control group.The Meta-analysis results showed that the clinical efficacy,appetite score,KPS score,and FAACT score of the treatment group(which received acupuncture to improve appetite)were better than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);however,there was no statistically significant difference in body weight between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).The results of the subgroup analysis showed that the effective rate and appetite score for patients with long-term and chronic loss of appetite who underwent acupuncture were better than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Acupuncture therapy has good efficacy and safety in the treatment of anorexia in tumor patients,and it also has good efficacy and safety for long-term and chronic loss of appetite.The reliability and stability of the above results need to be confirmed by high-quality RCTs with larger sample sizes.ZHAO Weipeng LI Jing ZHANG Yushuang LI He HUANG Jinchang BAI Jing LI Jianbo 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,4:4
3A new gain-of-function OsGS2/GRF4 allele generated by CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing increases rice grain size and yield显示文摘Grain size is one of the most important factors affecting rice grain quality and yield,and attracts great attention from molecular biologists and breeders.In this study,we engineered a CRISPR/Cas9 system targeting the miR396 recognition site of the rice GS2 gene,which encodes growth-regulating factor 4(OsGRF4)and regulates multiple agronomic traits including grain size,grain quality,nitrogen use efficiency,abiotic stress response,and seed shattering.In contrast to most previous genome editing efforts in which indel mutations were chosen to obtain null mutants,a mutant named GS2^(E) carrying an in-frame 6-bp deletion and 1-bp substitution within the miR396-targeted sequence was identified.GS2^(E) plants showed increased expression of GS2 in consistent with impaired repression by miR396.As expected,the gain-of-function GS2^(E) mutant exhibited multiple beneficial traits including increased grain size and yield and bigger grain length/width ratio.Thousand grain weight and grain yield per plant of GS2^(E) plants were increased by 23.5%and 10.4%,respectively.These improved traits were passed to hybrids in a semidominant way,suggesting that the new GS2^(E) allele has great potential in rice improvement.Taken together,we report new GS2 germplasm and describe a novel gene-editing strategy that can be widely employed to improve grain size and yield in rice.This trait-improvement strategy could be applied to other genes containing miRNA target sites,in particular the conserved miR396-GRF/GIF module that governs plant growth,development and environmental response.Wenshu Wang Weipeng Wang Yanlin Pan Chao Tan Hongjing Li Ya Chen Xingdan Liu Jing Wei Nian Xu Yu Han Han Gu Rongjian Ye Qi Ding Chonglie Ma 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,4:3
4Multi-DAGs Scheduling Integrating with Security and Availability in Cloud Environment显示文摘In view of the issue concerns multiple Directed acyclic graphs(DAGs) scheduling in multi-tenant cloud computing environment, a scheduling strategy that integrate security and availability is proposed to satisfy the tenants' requirements for resource security and availability, as thus it can not only protect the users' privacy and data security but also advance the success rate. The proposal assesses resource reputation to ensure jobs can be scheduled onto relatively security nodes; during task scheduling, it classifies the DAGs to achieve fairness; in the process of resources allocation, the objective function would maximize the user's security satisfaction and minimize the deviation of availability; meanwhile, it takes advantage of 'time chips' flexibly to promote resource utilization rate; afterwards, we present a Greedy algorithm integrating with security and availability(GISA) to implement the strategy. 5A NOVEL PFMAC PROTOCOL FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK BASED ON PREDICTION AND FEEDBACK METHOD显示文摘In view of the problem that existing Media Access Control(MAC) protocols can not pro-vide real-time monitor on network conditions,this paper puts forward a new MAC protocol- Predict and Feedback MAC(PFMAC) which can predict the channel's congestion level reasonably.The dominant idea of the new scheme is to record the channel's busy or idle situation in the backoff stage by sending Sensor Nodes(SNs),and according to the congestion level every SN can change the contention window adaptively when send packets successfully to minimize collisions,saving energy and channel resources.The result of simulation shows that compared with other MAC protocols,the PFMAC protocol can improve network throughput and reduce energy consumption in high speed network en-vironment.LiuYaqiu Bian Li Jing Weipeng Zhang Qianlong 2011Journal of Electronics(China)2011,28,4:2

9Upregulation of cadherin-11 contributes to cholestatic liver fibrosis显示文摘Importance:Cadherin-11(CDH11),a cell-to-cell adhesion molecule,is implicated in the fibrotic process of several organs.Biliary atresia(BA)is a common cholestatic liver disease featuring cholestasis and progressive liver fibrosis in children.Cholestatic liver fibrosis may progress to liver cirrhosis and lacks effective therapeutic strategies.Currently,the role of CDH11 in cholestatic liver fibrosis remains unclear.Objective:This study aimed to explore the functions of CDH11 in cholestatic liver fibrosis.Methods:The expression ofCDH11 in BA livers was evaluated by database analysis and immunostaining.Seven BA liver samples were used for immunostaining.The wild type(Wt)andCDH11 knockout(CDH11^(-/-))mice were subjected to bile duct ligation(BDL)to induce cholestatic liver fibrosis.The serum biochemical analysis,liver histology,and western blotting were used to assess the extent of liver injury and fibrosis as well as activation of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)/Smad pathway.The effect of CDH11 on the activation of hepatic stellate cell line LX-2 cells was investigated.Results:Analysis of public RNA-seq datasets showed thatCDH11 expression levels were significantly increased in livers of BA,and CDH11 was correlated with liver fibrosis in BA.BDL-induced liver injury and liver fibrosis were attenuated inCDH11^(-/-)mice compared to Wt mice.The protein expression levels of phosphorylated Smad2/3 were decreased in livers ofCDH11^(-/-)BDL mice compared to Wt BDL mice.CDH11 knockdown inhibited the activation of LX-2 cells.Interpretation:CDH11 plays an important role in cholestatic liver fibrosis and may represent a potential therapeutic target for cholestatic liver disease,such as BA.Bo Wu Xinbei Tian Weipeng Wang Jing Zhu Ying Lu Jun Du Yongtao Xiao 2022Pediatric Investigation2022,6,2:0

11Design optimization of a hexapod vibration isolation system for electro-optical payload显示文摘The electro-optical payloads on mobile platforms generally suffer undesirable vibrations generated by maneuvers and turbulence.These vibrations are in six degrees of freedom and cause line-of-sight jitters,resulting in image blurring and loss of tracking accuracy.In this paper,a Hexapod Vibration Isolation System(HVIS)is proposed and optimized to solve this problem.The optimization aims to centralize and minimize the natural frequencies of HVIS,for expanding the vibration isolation bandwidth and improving the vibration isolation in the higher frequency band.Considering that the design space for HVIS is limited and interfered with the frames of the mobile platform,a non-collision algorithm is proposed and applied in the optimization to obtain the feasible optimal design.The optimization result shows that the natural frequency bandwidth has been reduced by 42.9%,and the maximum natural frequency is reduced by 30.2%.The prototypes of initial and optimal designs are manufactured and tested.Both simulated and experimental results demonstrate the validity of the optimization,and the optimal design provides a maximum of 15 dB more isolation in rotation direction than the initial design.Jing LI Weipeng LI Xiaoyan ZHANG Hai HUANG 2024Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2024,37,2:0

13HCS: Expanding H-Code RAID 6 without Recalculating Parity Blocks in Big Data Circumstance显示文摘This paper introduces a new RAID 6 expanding method HCS, which is facing the circumstance of big data. HCS expands H-Code manner RAID 6. Two key techniques are used to avoid parity blocks’ recalculating.The first one is anti-diagonal data blocks’ selection, and the other one is horizontal data migration. These two techniques ensure the data blocks are retained in the same verification zone, that is horizontal verification zone and anti-diagonal verification zone. 15Facile preparation of^(177)Lu-microspheres for hepatocellular carcinoma radioisotope therapy显示文摘As one of the most common cancers in the world,hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has become a major threat to human health.Radioembolization is a first-line option for the treatment of HCC,especially when other conventional treatments fail or there exist some relative contraindications.Herein,we developed a facile and efficient method for preparing ^(177)Lu-microspheres potentially useful for precise radioembolization therapy of HCC.The radiolabeling efficiency of ^(177)Lu-microspheres was as high as 96.8%±0.5%,and the radiolabeling process did not alter the morphology of the mother microspheres.The SPECT/CT studies enabled by the unique emissions of ^(177)Lu suggested that almost no ^(177)Lu ion loaded by the microspheres was released over more than 32 d in vivo,which led to remarkable inhibition effect on the growth of HepG2 tumors subcutaneously transplanted in mice.The current approach may thus offer promising ^(177)Lu-microspheres for clinical radioembolization of HCC.Manran Wu Kexin Shi Ruizhe Huang Chunyi Liu Lingling Yin Weipeng Yong Jing Sun Guanglin Wang Zhiyuan Zhong Mingyuan Gao 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,7:0
16Thickness dependence of the crystallization and phase transition in ZrO_(2)thin films显示文摘Fluorite-structure binary oxides(e.g.,HfO_(2)and ZrO_(2))have attracted increasing interest for a broad range of applications including thermal barrier coatings,high-k dielectrics,and novel ferroelectrics.A crystalline structure plays a crucial role in determining physical and chemical properties.Structure evolution of ZrO_(2)thin films,particularly down to the nanometer scale,has not been thoroughly studied.In this work,we carried out systematic annealing analysis on the ZrO_(2)thin films.Through in-situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction(XRD)characterizations,a thickness dependence of crystallization and phase transition is observed.Irrespective of the thickness(10-300 nm),the as-prepared amorphous ZrO_(2)thin films are preferentially crystallized into a tetragonal(t)structure(high-temperature phase),which can be preserved down to room temperature(RT)upon anncaling at the corresponding crystallization temperaturc(T).When anncaling at temperaturcs higher than Tc,the transition from t to monoclinic(m;RT phase)will occur,and the quantity of the transition strongly depends on the film thickness.Our work expands the basic understanding of the phase transition in the ZrO_(2)thin films,and offers a path to the selective control over the phase structure for novel functionalities.Yue Guan Jing Zhou Haodong Zhong Weipeng Wang Zhengjun Zhang Feng Luo Shuai Ning 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,4:0
