1Quantifying the effects of short-term heat stress at booting stage on nonstructural carbohydrates remobilization in rice显示文摘Extreme heat stress events are becoming more frequent under anticipated climate change,which can have devastating impacts on rice growth and yield.To quantify the effects of short-term heat stress at booting stage on nonstructural carbohydrates(NSC)remobilization in rice,two varieties(Nanjing 41 and Wuyunjing 24)were subjected to 32/22/27°C(maximum/minimum/mean),36/26/31°C,40/30/35°C,and 44/34/39°C for 2,4 and 6 days in phytotrons at booting stage during 2014 and 2015.Yield and yield components,dry matter partitioning index(DMPI),NSC accumulation and translocation were measured and calculated.The results showed that the increase of high-temperature level and duration significantly reduced grain yield by suppressing spikelet number per panicle,seed-setting rate,and grain weight.Heat stress at booting decreased DMPI in panicles,increased DMPI in stems,but had no significant effect on photosynthetic rate.Stem NSC concentration increased whereas panicles NSC concentration,stem NSC translocation efficiency,and contribution of stem NSC to grain yield decreased.Severe heat stress even transformed the stem into a carbohydrate sink during grain filling.The heat-tolerant Wuyunjing 24 showed a higher NSC transport capacity under heat stress than the heat-sensitive Nanjing 41.Heat degree-days(HDD),which combines the effects of the intensity and duration of heat stress,used for quantifying the impacts of heat stress indicates the threshold HDD for the termination of NSC translocation is 9.82°C day.Grain yield was negatively correlated with stem NSC concentration and accumulation at maturity,and yield reduction was tightly related to NSC translocation reduction.The results suggest that heat stress at booting inhibits NSC translocation due to sink size reduction.Therefore,genotypes with higher NSC transport capacity under heat stress could be beneficial for rice yield formation.Fengxian Zhen Junjie Zhou Aqib Mahmood Wei Wang Xini Chang Bing Liu Leilei Liu Weixing Cao Yan Zhu Liang Tang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,2:9
2A review of road extraction from remote sensing images显示文摘As a significant role for traffic management,city planning,road monitoring,GPS navigation and map updating,the technology of road extraction from a remote sensing(RS) image has been a hot research topic in recent years.In this paper,after analyzing different road features and road models,the road extraction methods were classified into the classification-based methods,knowledge-based methods,mathematical morphology,active contour model,and dynamic programming.Firstly,the road features,road model,existing difficulties and interference factors for road extraction were analyzed.Secondly,the principle of road extraction,the advantages and disadvantages of various methods and research achievements were briefly highlighted.Then,the comparisons of the different road extraction algorithms were performed,including road features,test samples and shortcomings.Finally,the research results in recent years were summarized emphatically.It is obvious that only using one kind of road features is hard to get an excellent extraction effect.Hence,in order to get good results,the road extraction should combine multiple methods according to the real applications.In the future,how to realize the complete road extraction from a RS image is still an essential but challenging and important research topic.Weixing Wang Nan Yang Yi Zhang Fengping Wang Ting Cao Patrik Eklund 2016Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2016,3,3:9
3Local Bifurcation Analysis of a Delayed Fractional-order Dynamic Model of Dual Congestion Control Algorithms显示文摘In this paper, we propose a delayed fractional-order congestion control model which is more accurate than the original integer-order model when depicting the dual congestion control algorithms. The presence of fractional orders requires the use of suitable criteria which usually make the analytical work so harder. Based on the stability theorems on delayed fractionalorder differential equations, we study the issue of the stability and bifurcations for such a model by choosing the communication delay as the bifurcation parameter. By analyzing the associated characteristic equation, some explicit conditions for the local stability of the equilibrium are given for the delayed fractionalorder model of congestion control algorithms. Moreover, the Hopf bifurcation conditions for general delayed fractional-order systems are proposed. The existence of Hopf bifurcations at the equilibrium is established. The critical values of the delay are identified, where the Hopf bifurcations occur and a family of oscillations bifurcate from the equilibrium. Same as the delay,the fractional order normally plays an important role in the dynamics of delayed fractional-order systems. It is found that the critical value of Hopf bifurcations is crucially dependent on the fractional order. 12Wavenumber-4 spectral component extracted from TIMED/SABER observations显示文摘The wavenumber spectral components WN4 at the mesosphere and low thermosphere(MLT)altitudes(70–10 km)and in the latitude range between±45°are obtained from temperature data(T)observed by the Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry(SABER)instruments on board the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA)’s Thermosphere–Ionosphere–Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics(TIMED)spacecraft during the 11-year solar period from 2002 to 2012.We analyze in detail these spectral components WNk and obtain the main properties of their vertical profiles and global structures.We report that all of the wavenumber spectral components WNk occur mainly around 100 km altitude,and that the most prominent component is the wavenumber spectral component WN4 structure.Comparing these long duration temperature data with results of previous investigations,we have found that the yearly variation of spectral component WN4 is similar to that of the eastward propagating non-migrating diurnal tide with zonal wavenumber 3(DE3)at the low latitudes,and to that of the semi-diurnal tide with zonal wavenumber 2(SE2)at the mid-latitudes:the amplitudes of the A4 are larger during boreal summer and autumn at the low-latitudes;at the mid-latitudes the amplitudes have a weak peak in March.In addition,the amplitudes of component WN4 undergo a remarkable short period variation:significant day-to-day variation of the spectral amplitudes A4 occurs primarily in July and September at the low-latitudes.In summary,we conclude that the non-migrating tides DE3 and SE2 are likely to be the origins,at the low-latitudes and the mid-latitudes in the MLT region,respectively,of the observed wavenumber spectral component WN4.Xing Li WeiXing Wan JinBin Cao ZhiPeng Ren 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,5:1

17Water-efficient sensing method for soil profiling in the paddy field显示文摘The comprehensive and reliable perception of moisture in a soil profile is essential to irrigation.To establish an efficient method for sensing soil moisture,field trials were conducted to analyze the spatial and temporal variations of moisture in a paddy soil profile by using coefficients of variation.The results showed that soil layers at shallow depths undergo more extensive changes in the coefficients of variation.Moisture perception is most sensitive within a depth range of 0-60 cm in the vertical soil profile of a paddy field.By using the clustering algorithm of Euclidean distance,the paddy soil profile was divided into three categories based on soil depth.The first category includes depths ranging from 10-20 cm,the second is from 30-40 cm,and the third is from 50-100 cm.Path analysis indicated that the most sensitive depths for moisture sensing in a paddy soil profile were 20 cm,30 cm,and 50 cm,whereas the most sensitive depths for moisture sensing by time stability analysis were 20 cm,40 cm,and 60 cm.Based on the multiple regression of sensitive depths,the results of quantitative inversion indicated that the time stability analysis results were 0.962 when the(y,y)Coryy of path analysis was 0.980,and the time stability analysis was 0.61 when the root mean square error(RMSE)of path analysis was 0.40.The relative error range between the measured and predicted values of path analysis was less than that of time stability analysis.These findings suggest that it is feasible to effectively sense the moisture of the entire vertical soil profile based on the sensitive depth.The present study has also determined that path analysis is superior to time stability analysis.Zhenran Gao Jun Ni Yan Zhu Qi Jiang Weixing Cao 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,4:1
