1Comparison of PBDE congener profiles and concentration levels in human specimens from China and the US and identification of human exposure sources显示文摘In an effort to investigate the status of human exposure to PBDEs in China,available monitoring data in human specimens(including breast milk,serums,and blood) was collected from the general population as well as specific groups that are occupationally exposed.PBDEs exposure profiles and concentration levels were compared with their counterparts in the United States of America.It was found that PBDE burdens in general Chinese population are one order lower and have different congener profiles from that in the US,showing higher percentages of BDE-28 or BDE-153 in human specimens from China.Workers and residents in electronic wastes recycling regions or areas of commercial PBDE manufacturing have the highest PBDE exposure levels reported worldwide,which are close or higher than the exposure levels of the general population in the US. Highly brominated congeners,such as BDE-207 and 209,are among the major PBDE congeners,and BDE-209 has the highest percentage(above 50%) for all occupational populations studied.Principal components analysis(PCA) demonstrates that the exposure of the general population in the US is closely related to penta-BDE while the human burden in China is not.The PBDE in indoor air(gas phase) in the US is highly correlated with the PBDE burden in the general population in the US,indicating a major exposure pathway.For the occupationally exposed populations in China,the congener profiles are closely related to the commercial deca-BDE products.Examination of exposure profiles for general and occupational populations in China suggests that it is essential to include more highly brominated congeners,such as BDE-207 and 209,in future human exposure studies,in order to assess the real burdens and profiles of PBDEs exposure in China.Strict pollution prevention and occupational protection procedures are in need in China to avoid the PBDE contamination problem that has occurred in the US.SHE JianWen 1,SHE YiFan 2 &SONG WenLu 2 1 Biochemistry Section,Environmental Health Laboratory Branch,California Department of Public Health,Richmond,CA 94804,USA 2Chemistry Section,Food and Drug Laboratory Branch,California Department of Public Health,Richmond,CA 94804,USA 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,5:5

6High-performance aqueous asymmetric supercapacitors based on the cathode of one-step electrodeposited cracked bark-shaped nickel manganese sulfides on activated carbon cloth显示文摘In this work,we report a high-performance self-standing supercapacitor electrode of mixed nickel manganese sulfides (NMSs)with a cracked-bark shape grown by one-step electrochemical deposition on activated carbon cloth (ACC).The electrode possesses outstanding electrochemical properties,including a high specific capacitance of up to 3142.8 F g^(-1)at 1.0 A g^(-1),the high-rate performance (~1206.8 F g^(-1)at 60.0 A g^(-1)),and cycle stability (~92.3%capacitance retention after 8000 cycles at8 A g^(-1)).An asymmetric supercapacitor assembled using NMSs on ACC as the cathode,activated carbon on carbon cloth as the anode and 1.0 mol L;KOH as the electrolyte delivers a high energy density of 111.2 W h kg^(-1)at 800.0 W kg^(-1)and the prominent cycling performance of~93.2%capacitance retention after 10000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1)with the Columbic efficiency of around 100%during these 10000 cycles.The high performance and facile preparation indicate that the NMSs on ACC hold a huge potential as the electrode for supercapacitors.ADIL Emin XIE WenLu LONG Xiao WANG Xiao SONG XiaoQiang CHEN Yue FU YuJun LI JunShuai LI YaLi HE DeYan 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,2:1

11Characterization of wet microalgal cells pretreated with steam for lipid extraction显示文摘Steam pretreatment was employed to disrupt Microalgal cells for lipids extraction.Effects of steam pretreatment on microstructure of microalgal cells were investigated through scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Effect of treatment on lipid extraction was also studied.Microalgal cell walls were distorted after steam pretreatment due to the hydrolysis of organic macromolecules contained in cell wall.Maximum curvature was increased from 1.88×10^(-6) m^(-1) to 1.43×10^(-7) m^(-1) after treatment with the steam at 130℃.The fractal dimension of microalgal cells increased from 1.25 to 1.30 after pretreatment for 15 min,and further increased to 1.47 when the pretreatment time was increased to 60 min.Increased steam pretreatment temperature and time enhanced the hydrolysis of organic macromolecules,and finally destroyed microalgal cell walls at pretreatment temperature of 130℃and pretreatment time of 60 min.Lipid extracted from wet microalgal was significantly increased(2.1-fold)after pretreatment.Wenlu Song Rui Huang Hao Guo Chunguang Yin Chuanling Wang Jun Cheng Weijuan Yang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,9:0
