1Improved corrosion resistance and biofilm inhibition ability of copper-bearing 304 stainless steel against oral microaerobic Streptococcus mutans显示文摘304 stainless steel(SS) used as orthodontic wire during orthodontics faces the risk of microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC) due to diverse flora environment. Hereinto, Streptococcus mutans(S. mutans)is the most important cariogenic bacteria. In this work, MIC behavior of a new 304-Cu SS in presence of S. mutans was studied by the observations using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) including live/dead staining, extracellular polymeric substance(EPS)staining and pitting corrosion, electrochemical test, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Above results showed that 304-Cu SS possessed excellent biofilm inhibition ability and presented lower corrosion current density(icorr), larger polarization resistance(Rp) and charge transfer resistance(Rct) in the presence of S. mutans, indicating that 304-Cu SS had a better MIC resistance against S. mutans. 4A Random Anonymity Framework for Location Privacy显示文摘Location k-anonymity techniques typically use anonymous spatial region to ensure privacy. But these solutions are vulnerable to multiple queries attacks and inference attacks. Failing to account for the obstacle in geographic space is a severe problem since adversaries will surely regard these constraints. A novel framework is proposed to enhance location-dependent queries, based on the theoretical work of k-anonymity and Voronoi diagrams, allows a user to express service requirement and privacy requirement by specifying a region and an appropriate value of k. A trusted anonymity server form a restricted set(k, r, s), which is composed of a number of discrete points to meet the requirements for location k-anonymity and location l-diversity. The location-based services(LBS) server implements an efficient algorithm for continuous-region-query processing. Simulation results demonstrated that the framework is superior to previous works in terms of privacy. 5Characterization of wet microalgal cells pretreated with steam for lipid extraction显示文摘Steam pretreatment was employed to disrupt Microalgal cells for lipids extraction.Effects of steam pretreatment on microstructure of microalgal cells were investigated through scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Effect of treatment on lipid extraction was also studied.Microalgal cell walls were distorted after steam pretreatment due to the hydrolysis of organic macromolecules contained in cell wall.Maximum curvature was increased from 1.88×10^(-6) m^(-1) to 1.43×10^(-7) m^(-1) after treatment with the steam at 130℃.The fractal dimension of microalgal cells increased from 1.25 to 1.30 after pretreatment for 15 min,and further increased to 1.47 when the pretreatment time was increased to 60 min.Increased steam pretreatment temperature and time enhanced the hydrolysis of organic macromolecules,and finally destroyed microalgal cell walls at pretreatment temperature of 130℃and pretreatment time of 60 min.Lipid extracted from wet microalgal was significantly increased(2.1-fold)after pretreatment.Wenlu Song Rui Huang Hao Guo Chunguang Yin Chuanling Wang Jun Cheng Weijuan Yang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,9:0
6Radial Permeability Measurements for Shale Using Variable Pressure Gradients显示文摘Shale gas is becoming an important component of the global energy supply, with permeability a critical controlling factor for long-term gas production. Obvious deviation may exist between helium permeability determined using small pressure gradient(SPG) methods and methane permeability obtained under actual field production with variable pressure gradients(VPG). In order to more accurately evaluate the matrix permeability of shale, a VPG method using real gas(rather than He) is established to render permeability measurements that are more representative of reservoir conditions and hence response. Dynamic methane production experiments were performed to measure permeability using the annular space in the shale cores. For each production stage, boundary pressure is maintained at a constant and the gas production with time is measured on the basis of volume change history in the measuring pump. A mathematical model explicitly accommodating gas desorption uses pseudo-pressure and pseudo-time to accommodate the effects of variations in pressuredependent PVT parameters. Analytical and semi-analytical solutions to the model are obtained and discussed. These provide a convenient approach to estimate radial permeability in the core by nonlinear fitting to match the semi-analytical solution with the recorded gas production data. Results indicate that the radial permeability of the shale determined using methane is in the range of 1×10-6– 1×10-5 mD and decreases with a decrease in average pore pressure. This is contrary to the observed change in permeability estimated using helium. Bedding geometry has a significant influence on shale permeability with permeability in parallel bedding orientation larger than that in perpendicular bedding orientation. The superiority of the VPG method is confirmed by comparing permeability test results obtained from both VPG and SPG methods.
