1A reciprocal inhibition between ARID1 and MET1 in male and female gametes in Arabidopsis显示文摘Both female and male gametophytes harbor companion cells and gametes. MET1, a DNA methyltransferase, is down-regulated in companion cells. However,how MET1 is differentially regulated in gametophytes remains unexplored. ARID1, a transcription factor that is specifically depleted in sperm cells, is occupied by MET1-dependent CG methylation. Here, we show that MET1 confines ARID1 to the vegetative cell of male gametes,but ARID1 conversely represses MET1 in the central cell of female gametes. Compared to the vegetative celllocalization in wild type pollen, ARID1 expands to sperm cells in the met1 mutant. To understand whether MET1-dependent ARID1 inhibition exists during female gametogenesis, we first show that ARID1 is expressed in the megaspore mother cell(MMC), ARID1 but not MET1 is detectable in the central cell at maturity. Interestingly,compared to the absence of MET1 in the central cell and the egg cell of wild type ovules, MET1 significantly accumulates in these two cells in arid1 ovules. Lastly, we show that both ARID1 and MET1 are required for the cell specification of MMC. 2Optimal flight parameters of unmanned helicopter for tea plantation frost protection显示文摘To determine proper flight parameters of an unmanned helicopter for tea plantation frost protection,field experiments were conducted to study the impact of flight height,speed and interval on airflow disturbance and temperature rise around tea canopies based on the analysis and simulation of frost protection with a certain helicopter.The relationship between temperature rise after flight and the above flight parameters was established through a regression orthogonal experiment,based on which the optimal combination of flight parameters was obtained through the single-factor golden section method.The results showed that wind speed around tea canopies decreased with the increase of flight height when flight speed was constant.There was a multivariate linear relationship between temperature rise and flight parameters,and the sequence of flight parameters’influence on frost protection effect was flight interval,flight height,flight speed.The optimal combination of flight parameters were flight height of 4.0 m,flight speed of 6.0 m/s and flight interval of 20 min.After the flight with the above parameters air temperature around tea canopies increased 1.6℃ when background thermal inversion strength was 3.8℃.Hu Yongguang Liu Shengzhong Wu Wenye Wang Jizhang Shen Jianwen 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5:4

4Optimal design of wind machine impeller for frost protection based on CFD and its field test on airflow disturbance显示文摘Wind machines have been increasingly applied to prevent frost damage through airflow disturbance in tea fields and orchards.An impeller is the most important component of the machine.However,there are few studies on customized impeller design or airflow disturbance performance.The objective of this study was to design a new impeller for frost protection wind machines based on reverse engineering and CFD simulation.The characteristic parameters of an impeller include blade cross-section shape,installation angle,sweep angle,hub ratio and blade number.The optimal combination of the above parameters was obtained through the simulation of the impeller’s aerodynamic performance.Field tests were conducted in a tea field to evaluate airflow disturbance performance of the designed impeller.The result shows that at a certain rotation speed and rotation diameter,the optimal combination of impeller parameters was:single arc cross-section ofϕ2400 mm,installation angle of 15°,sweep angle of 87°,hub ratio of 0.3 and blade number of 4,of which the impeller could achieve the highest usage of 0.56,the least consumed power of 1.363 kW and more uniform distribution of surface pressure on the windward side.Compared with other commercial frost protection wind machines,the maximum airflow velocity of the developed impeller was higher at 12 m in front of it.The probability of airflow velocity above 3.0 m/s within 30 min was the highest(71.7%),indicating its improvement of airflow stability.Without swing the new impeller could cover an effective area of 300 m2,which was similar to that of the commercial ones.Wu Wenye Hu Yongguang Yang Shuo Mao Kangqian Zhu Xiaoyong Li Pingping 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5:3

6Comparative experiments and effectiveness evaluation on vertical blowing fans(VBF)for frost protection显示文摘Experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of vertical blowing fans(VBF)for frost protection in a vineyard on a steep slope near Napa Valley in Northern California,USA,and a tea plantation located on undulating terrain in Zhenjiang,China.Minimum temperature comparisons from within the grape vineyard on nights with and without VBF operation with control station minimum temperatures exhibited no temperature benefit.Profile measurements from the test in China indicated that there was an increase in temperature when the VBF was first started,but that benefit was lost over time.No clear benefit from using the VBF was observed.Observation of frost deposition and thermal imagery also showed no benefit except for within about 5 m of the VBF.Based on this work,the effectiveness of the VBF for frost protection was not validated.Hu Yongguang Wu Wenye J.Paulo De Melo-Abreu Tom M.Shapland Zhang Hong Richard L.Snyder 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5:2
7Small RNAs in pollen显示文摘In plants, each pollen mother cell undergoes two rounds of cell divisions to form a mature pollen grain, which contains a vegetative cell(VC) and two sperm cells(SC). As a companion cell, the VC carries the SCs to an ovule by germinating a pollen tube. In-depth sequencing analyses of mature pollen showed that micro RNAs(mi RNAs) and short interfering RNAs(si RNAs) are present in both the VC and SCs. Additionally, epigenetically-regulated transposable elements(TEs) are reactivated in the VC and these TE m RNAs are further processed into 21-nt epigenetically reactivated si RNA(easiR NA) in SCs, which prevent 24-nt si RNA accumulation and sequester mi RNA loading. Small RNAs are thought to move from the VC to SCs, where they regulate gene expression and reinforce TE silencing. 8Ultrawideband chromatic aberration-free meta-mirrors显示文摘Chromatic aberration-free meta-devices(e.g.,achromatic meta-devices and abnormal chromatic meta-devices)play an essential role in modern science and technology.However,current efforts suffer the issues of low efficiency,narrow operating band,and limited wavefront manipulation capability.We propose a general strategy to design chromatic aberration-free meta-devices with high-efficiency and ultrabroadband properties,which is realized by satisfying the key criteria of desirable phase dispersion and high reflection amplitudes at the target frequency interval.The phase dispersion is tuned successfully based on a multiresonant Lorentz model,and high reflection is guaranteed by the presence of the metallic ground.As proof of the concept,two microwave meta-devices are designed,fabricated,and experimentally characterized.An achromatic meta-mirror is proposed within 8 to 12 GHz,and another abnormal chromatic meta-mirror can tune the reflection angle as a linear function.Both meta-mirrors exhibit very high efficiencies(85%to 94%in the frequency band).Our findings open a door to realize chromatic aberration-free meta-devices with high efficiency and wideband properties and stimulate the realizations of chromatic aberration-free metadevices with other functionalities or working at higher frequency.Tong Cai Shiwei Tang Bin Zheng Guangming Wang Wenye Ji Chao Qian Zuojia Wang Erping Li Hongsheng Chena 2021Advanced Photonics2021,3,1:2
9小鼠局灶性脑缺血模型中细胞间粘附分子-1表达升高显示文摘目的 白细胞可以导致缺血细胞损伤,内皮细胞上表达的细胞间粘附分子-1(ICAM-1)有利于白细胞迁移至组织。本研究目的是对小鼠大脑中动脉栓塞(MCAO)后脑内ICAM-1 蛋白在组织中表达和含量进行检测。方法 通过对成年雄性CD-1 小鼠使用血管腔内尼龙线栓塞术,造成0、3、6、12、24、48 和72 h 的持续性大脑中动脉栓塞。缺血程度由激光多普勒流量仪确定,缺血脑组织ICAM-1 的阳性表达由免疫组化技术检测,并用免疫沉淀和Western 印迹来定量。结果 在大脑中动脉栓塞后,小鼠缺血脑半球的表面脑血流量减少到基准值的9% ~15% 。各组间大脑中动脉栓塞过程中的脑血流量无显著差异。免疫组化技术显示,缺血中心区和末影区都见ICAM-1 阳性的微血管内皮细胞,从缺血中心到缺血边缘区微血管内皮细胞表达ICAM-1 出现增高的趋势。免疫沉淀和Western 印迹分析结果表明,缺血区ICAM-1的表达在大脑中动脉栓塞后3 h 增高,6~12 h 达到高峰,并持续到72 h。结论 研究表明,在持续性大脑中动脉栓塞的小鼠中检测到ICAM-1 表达明显升高,因为在持续局灶性大脑中动脉缺血后ICAM-1 可介导白细胞和内皮细胞粘附。葛海良 WenYe Guo-YuanYang A.LorrisBetz 1999中国神经免疫学和神经病学杂志1999,6,3:2
