| 1 | Effectiveness of Inactivated COVID-19 Vaccines Against Symptomatic,Pneumonia,and Severe Disease Caused by the Delta Variant:Real World Study and Evidence—China,2021显示文摘Summary What is already known about this topic?Effectiveness of China’s 2 inactivated vaccines(BBIBPCorV and CoronaVac)against pre-Delta severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)variants ranged from 47%to over 90%,depending on the clinical endpoint,and with greater effectiveness against more severe coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).During an outbreak in Guangdong,inactivated vaccine effectiveness(VE)against the Delta variant was 70%for symptomatic infection and 100%for severe COVID-19.However,separate or combined VE estimates for the two inactivated vaccines against Delta are not available.What is added by this report?In an outbreak that started in a hospital,VEs of completed primary vaccination with inactivated COVID-19 vaccines against symptomatic COVID-19,COVID-19 pneumonia,and severe COVID-19 caused by the Delta variant were 51%,61%,and 82%.Completed primary vaccination reduced the risk of progressing from mild to moderate or severe COVID-19 by 74%.VE estimates for BBIBP-CorV and CoronaVac or combined vaccination were similar,and partial vaccination was ineffective.What are the implications for public health practice?Completed primary vaccination with either of the 2 inactivated COVID-19 vaccines reduces risk of symptomatic COVID-19,COVID-19 pneumonia,and severe COVID-19 caused by the Delta variant.Completion of the completed primary vaccination with two doses is necessary for protection from Delta. | Dan Wu Yanyang Zhang Lin Tang Fuzhen Wang Ying Ye Chao Ma Hui Zheng Wenzhou Yu Lei Cao Yifan Song Abuduwaili Reyimu Xiaoxiao Zhang Haifeng Wang Yifei Nie Mingxia Lu Muge Qi Jun Li Ruolin Wang Kaichao Yang Changshuang Wang Lawrence Everett Rodewald Geroge Fu Gao Zhijie An Zundong Yin | 2022 | China CDC weekly2022,4,4: | 7 |

| 3 | Convolutional Neural Network Based on Spatial Pyramid for Image Classification显示文摘A novel convolutional neural network based on spatial pyramid for image classification is proposed.The network exploits image features with spatial pyramid representation.First,it extracts global features from an original image,and then different layers of grids are utilized to extract feature maps from different convolutional layers.Inspired by the spatial pyramid,the new network contains two parts,one of which is just like a standard convolutional neural network,composing of alternating convolutions and subsampling layers.But those convolution layers would be averagely pooled by the grid way to obtain feature maps,and then concatenated into a feature vector individually.Finally,those vectors are sequentially concatenated into a total feature vector as the last feature to the fully connection layer.This generated feature vector derives benefits from the classic and previous convolution layer,while the size of the grid adjusting the weight of the feature maps improves the recognition efficiency of the network.Experimental results demonstrate that this model improves the accuracy and applicability compared with the traditional model. | Gaihua Wang Meng Lu Tao Li Guoliang Yuan Wenzhou Liu | 2018 | Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2018,27,4: | 2 |

| 5 | Prevalence of hypertension in a hemodialysis population显示文摘Objective To know the accurate information on prevalence and status of blood pressure (BP) control in hemodialysis patients. Methods The pre/post mid week dialysis BP readings of 114 patients (74 males, 40 females. the average age 49.2±11.6 years) were evaluated. Hypertension was defined as BP>150/90mm Hg. Hypertension was further characterized according to whether the patients had normal or elevated pre dialysis systolic, pre dialysis diastolic, post dialysis systolic or post dialysis diastolic BP reading on 6 sequential dialysis recordings. And the systolic and diastolic pressure was separately graded from 0 to3 and a number designed as hypertension sensitivity index (HSI) was assigned to each patient. Results Of the 114 patients,97(85.1%)were hypertenisve,87(76.3%) had persistent elevation of BP despite being on one or more antihypertensive medication.The mean HSI for this population was 3.7±2.2.Most patients(81.9%) were on calcium channel blockers,29.1% being on Angiotension converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEI) and 29.2% on α blockers.There was correlation between pre dialysis systolic,pre dialysis diastolic BP and the post dialysis body weight change rate with dry weight.Conclusion Hypertension was a frequent finding in our hemodialysis population.Most of this hypertension was pre dialysis systolic.There was significant correlation between pre dialysis BP and post dialysis body weight change rate with dry weight. | LIU Yi,XU Yu lan,ZHEN Chen fei,WANG Lu ping | 2000 | Chinese Journal of Biomedical Engineering(English Edition)2000,9,3: | 1 |

| 10 | Isolation of a novel strain of Cyanobacterium sp.with good adaptation to extreme alkalinity and high polysaccharide yield显示文摘The use of high alkaline medium is a feasible way to provide carbon source and prevent biological contamination for the outdoor cultivation of alkaliphilic microalgae and cyanobacteria.A novel cyanobacterial strain was isolated from the open pond of a marine green alga(Picochlorum sp.SCSIO-45015,Sanya,Hainan)and identified as Cyanobacterium sp.SCSIO-45682.The effects of initial sodium bicarbonate(NaHCO_(3))concentrations on the growth and biochemical composition of Cyanobacterium sp.SCSIO-45682 were investigated.The results demonstrated that Cyanobacterium sp.SCSIO-45682 had good adaptation to 16.8-g/L NaHCO_(3)(the same concentration of NaHCO_(3) used in Zarrouk medium for Spirulina).Moreover,the yields of biomass,polysaccharide,chlorophyll a(chl a),and phycocyanin increased under high NaHCO_(3) concentrations.The maximum final biomass concentration of 2.5 g/L was observed at 8.4-g/L NaHCO_(3),while the highest intracellular total saccharide content of 49.2%of dry weight(DW)and exopolysaccharide(EPS)concentration of 93 mg/L were achieved at the NaHCO_(3) concentration of 16.8 g/L.The crude protein content declined under high NaHCO_(3) concentrations,which provide a possible explanation for the accumulation of polysaccharide.This study shows a good potential of alkaliphilic Cyanobacterium sp.SCSIO-45682 as a polysaccharide feedstock. | Zishuo CHEN Tao LI Bingjie YANG Xuejie JIN Hualian WU Jiayi WU Yandu LU Wenzhou XIANG | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,3: | 1 |
