1Structure, evolution and regional tectonic implications of the Queshan metamorphic core complex in eastern Jiaodong Peninsula of China显示文摘The Queshan MCC is an important example of a crustal extensional structure in the eastern Jiaodong Peninsula along the southeastern margin of the NCC in the Early Cretaceous. The MCC is a typical Cordilleran-type core complex with a three-layered structure:(1) the upper plate is constituted by the Cretaceous supradetachment basin and Paleoproterozoic basement;(2) the lower plate comprises the Neoarchean high-grade metamorphic complexes and late Mesozoic granitic intrusions; and(3) the two plates are separated by a master detachment fault. A series of late NEN-oriented brittle faults superimposed on and destructed the early MCC. Petrology, geometry, kinematics, macro- and micro-structures and quartz c-axis fabrics imply that the MCC has a progressive exhumation history from middle-lower to subsurface level(via middle-upper crustal level) under the nearly WNW-ESE regional extensional regime. We present structural and geochronological evidence to constrain the exhumation of the Queshan MCC from ca. 135 to 113 Ma. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the different patterns of extensional structures in the Jiaodong and Liaodong Peninsula, we have defined the Jiao-Liao Early Cretaceou extensional province and further divided the crustal extension of it into two stages: the first stage was the intense flow of the middle-lower crust and the second stage was the extension of the middle-upper crust. 2The origin of Wx^(la) provides new insights into the improvement of grain quality in rice显示文摘Appearance and taste are important factors in rice(Oryza sativa) grain quality. Here, we investigated the taste scores and related eating-quality traits of533 diverse cultivars to assess the relationships between—and genetic basis of—rice taste and eating-quality. A genome-wide association study highlighted the Wx gene as the major factor underlying variation in taste and eating quality. Notably, a novel waxy(Wx) allele, Wx^(la), which combined two mutations from Wx^(b) and Wx^(in), exhibited a unique phenotype. Reduced GBSSI activity conferred Wx^(la) rice with both a transparent appearance and good eating quality. Haplotype analysis revealed that Wx^(la) was derived from intragenic recombination. In fact,the recombination rate at the Wx locus was estimated to be 3.34 kb/c M, which was about 75-fold higher than the genome-wide mean, indicating that intragenic recombination is a major force driving diversity at the Wx locus. Based on our results, we propose a new network for Wx evolution, noting that new Wx alleles could easily be generated by crossing genotypes with different Wx alleles. 3Genetic architecture and key genes controlling the diversity of oil composition in rice grains显示文摘Rice grain oil is a valuable nutrient source.However,the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains remains unclear.In this study,we performed a genome-wide association study on oil composition and oil concentration in a diverse panel of 533 cultivated rice accessions.High variation for 11 oil-related traits was observed,and the oil composition of rice grains showed differentiation among the subpopulations.We identified 46 loci that are significantly associated with grain oil concentration or composition,16 of which were detected in three recombinant inbred line populations.Twenty-six candidate genes encoding enzymes involved in oil metabolism were identified from these 46 loci,four of which(PAL6,LIN6,MYR2,and ARA6)were found to contribute to natural variation in oil composition and to show differentiation among the subpopulations.Interestingly,population genetic analyses revealed that specific haplotypes of PAL6 and LIN6 have been selected in japonica rice.Based on these results,we propose a possible oil biosynthetic pathway in rice grains.Collectively,our results provide new insights into the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains and can facilitate marker-based breeding of rice varieties with enhanced oil and grain quality.Hao Zhou Duo Xia Pingbo Li Yiting Ao Xiaodong Xu Shanshan Wan Yanhua Li Bian Wu Huan Shi Kaiyue Wang Guanjun Gao Qinglu Zhang Gongwei Wang Jinghua Xiao Xianghua Li Sibin Yu Xingming Lian Yuqing He 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:4
4Fingerprint Liveness Detection from Different Fingerprint Materials Using Convolutional Neural Network and Principal Component Analysis显示文摘Fingerprint-spoofing attack often occurs when imposters gain access illegally by using artificial fingerprints,which are made of common fingerprint materials,such as silicon,latex,etc.Thus,to protect our privacy,many fingerprint liveness detection methods are put forward to discriminate fake or true fingerprint.Current work on liveness detection for fingerprint images is focused on the construction of complex handcrafted features,but these methods normally destroy or lose spatial information between pixels.Different from existing methods,convolutional neural network(CNN)can generate high-level semantic representations by learning and concatenating low-level edge and shape features from a large amount of labeled data.Thus,CNN is explored to solve the above problem and discriminate true fingerprints from fake ones in this paper.To reduce the redundant information and extract the most distinct features,ROI and PCA operations are performed for learned features of convolutional layer or pooling layer.After that,the extracted features are fed into SVM classifier.Experimental results based on the LivDet(2013)and the LivDet(2011)datasets,which are captured by using different fingerprint materials,indicate that the classification performance of our proposed method is both efficient and convenient compared with the other previous methods.Chengsheng Yuan Xinting Li Q.M.Jonathan Wu Jin Li Xingming Sun 2017Computers, Materials & Continua2017,,4:3
5Effects of Snow Cover on Ground Thermal Regime: A Case Study in Heilongjiang Province of China显示文摘The important effects of snow cover to ground thermal regime has received much attention of scholars during the past few decades. In the most of previous research, the effects were usually evaluated through the numerical models and many important results are found. However, less examples and insufficient data based on field measurements are available to show natural cases. In the present work, a typical case study in Mohe and Beijicun meteorological stations, which both are located in the most northern tip of China, is given to show the effects of snow cover on the ground thermal regime. The spatial(the ground profile) and time series analysis in the extremely snowy winter of 2012–2013 in Heilongjiang Province are also performed by contrast with those in the winter of 2011–2012 based on the measured data collected by 63 meteorological stations. Our results illustrate the positive(warmer) effect of snow cover on the ground temperature(GT) on the daily basis, the highest difference between GT and daily mean air temperature(DGAT) is as high as 32.35℃. Moreover, by the lag time analysis method it is found that the response time of GT from 0 cm to 20 cm ground depth to the alternate change of snow depth has 10 days lag, while at 40 cm depth the response of DGAT is not significant. 7Accuracy enhancement of the spherical actuator with a two-level geometric calibration method显示文摘This paper presents a two-level geometric calibration method for the permanent magnet(PM) spherical actuator to improve its motion control accuracy. The proposed actuator is composed of a stator with circumferential coils and a rotor with multiple PM poles. Due to the assembly and fabrication errors, the real geometric parameters of the actuator will deviate from their design values. Hence, the identification of such errors is critical for the motion control tasks. A two-level geometric calibration approach is proposed to identify such errors. In the first level, the calibration model is formulated based on the differential form of the kinematic equation, which is to identify the geometric errors in the spherical joint. In the second level, the calibration model is formulated based on the differential form of torque formula, which is to calibrate the geometric parameters of the magnetization axes of PM poles and coils axes. To demonstrate the robustness and availability of the calibration algorithm, simulations are conducted. 16Synergistic Promotion of Electrical, Mechanical and Thermal Properties for Silicone Rubber-based Field Grading Material via Compound Modification显示文摘Use of nonlinearconductive SiC/silicone rubber(SR)field grading material(FGM)can improve the local field concentration of composite insulators.Adding large volume fraction and large-size SiC particles(SiCp)into SR can obtain a good field grading effect,but it is accompanied by the deterioration of mechanical properties.Compounding SiC with different shapes can solve this contradiction.By incorporating one-dimensional SiC whiskers(SiCw)to synergize with granular SiCp,SiC/SR FGM with better field-dependent conductivity,mechanical properties and thermal conductivity than large-size SiCp and large volume fraction filling case can be obtained by using smaller size SiCp and lower filling contents.The simulations of 500 kv line insulators show that the modified SiC/SR FGM can reduce the maximum field strength along the insulator surface and at sheath-core rod interfaces by 55%and 71.4%,respectively.The combined application of FGM and grading ring can achieve a complementary effect.Using FGM to partially replace the role of the grading rings,the field strength indicators can still meet the operational requirements after the tube radius and shielding depth of the grading rings at both ends are reduced by 36.2%and 40%separately,which is a benefit to alleviating the problems of high weight and large volume faced by traditional field grading methods.Jiale Wu Yangzhi Gong Peiqi Xiong Zexi Xing Xiaofeng Xue Xiao Yang Boyang Shen Xingming Bian 2024CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2024,10,1:0
17A coarse-grained reconfigurable computing architecture with loop self-pipelining显示文摘Reconfigurable computing tries to achieve the balance between high efficiency of custom computing and flexibility of general-purpose computing. This paper presents the implementation techniques in LEAP,a coarse-grained reconfigurable array,and proposes a speculative execution mechanism for dynamic loop scheduling with the goal of one iteration per cycle and implementation techniques to support decoupling synchronization between the token generator and the collector. This paper also introduces the techniques of exploiting both data dependences of intra-and inter-iteration,with the help of two instructions for special data reuses in the loop-carried dependences. The experimental results show that the number of memory accesses reaches on average 3% of an RISC processor simulator with no memory optimization. 18Rice transcription factors OsLBD37/38/39 regulate nitrate uptake by repressing OsNRT2.1/2.2/2.3 under high-nitrogen conditions显示文摘Nitrate(NO_(3)^(-)) uptake involves a finely regulated and complex multilevel response system.Elucidating the molecular mechanism of nitrate uptake may lead to improving the growth and productivity of plants in the presence of dynamic variation in nitrate concentration.In this study,we identified three lateral organ boundaries domain(LBD)transcription factors,OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39,as regulators of nitrate uptake in response to nitrogen(N)availability.OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 were induced by ammonium and glutamine in rice roots.Individual or collective knockout of OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 led to increased concentrations of nitrate and increased expression of OsNRT2.1,OsNRT2.2,and OsNRT2.3respectively under high-N conditions,whereas overexpression of each of these three LBD genes produced opposite effects where N accumulation was reduced.Dual-luciferase reporter assay further confirmed that OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 possessed transcription inhibitory activities in rice protoplast cells,downregulating the expression of OsNRT2.1/OsNRT2.2/OsNRT2.3.Yeast two-hybrid and bimolecular fluorescence complementation assays showed that OsLBD37 interacted with OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39in the nucleus.Together,these results show that OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 collaborate to inhibit the expression of OsNRT2.1/OsNRT2.2/OsNRT2.3 transporters under N-sufficient conditions,thereby helping rice plants avoid excessive nitrate accumulation that may affect their growth.Xinxin Zhu Dujun Wang Lijuan Xie Tao Zhou Jingyi Zhao Qian Zhang Meng Yang Wenjuan Wu Xingming Lian 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,6:0
19Salient object detection via region contrast and graph regularization显示文摘Detection of salient objects in an image is now gaining increasing research interest in computer vision community. In this study, a novel region-contrast based saliency detection solution involving three phases is proposed. First, a color-based super-pixels segmentation approach is used to decompose the image into regions. Second, three high-level saliency measures which could effectively characterize the salient regions are evaluated and integrated in an effective manner to produce the initial saliency map. Finally, we construct a pairwise graphical model to encourage that adjacent image regions with similar features take continuous saliency values, thus producing the more perceptually consistent saliency map. 20Experimental studies on effects of surface morphologies on corona characteristics of conductors subjected to positive DC voltages显示文摘As the surface conditions play a significant role on corona discharge and its related effects of the conductors,the influence of fine particulate matter on positive-polarity,direct-current conductors was studied experimentally in this study.The surface morphologies of the conductor could be discovered from the experiments.The typical morphologies are the parallel chains of particles.To evaluate the surface condition quantitively,the surface roughness of the conductors is measured.It is found that the applied voltage and testing time have a great influence on the surface condition.After that,the corona characteristics of conductors are tested.It reveals that the total ground level electric field and ion flow density increases with the surface roughness growing.Zhu Jie He Zichen Wu Jiale Bian Xingming 2020High Voltage2020,5,4:0
