Effect on platelet aggregation activity: extracts from 31 Traditional Chinese Medicines with the property of activating blood and resolving stasis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the anti-platelet aggregation effects of extracts from 31 Traditional Chinese Medicines(TCM) with the property of activating blood and resolving stasis in terms of TCM theory.METHODS: The 31 TCMs extracts were prepared using water, 90% ethanol and ethyl acetate., and the effects on anti-platelet aggregation were tested on a platelet aggregation analyzer in vitro with adenosine 5'-diphosphate, bovine thrombin and arachi-donic acid(AA) as aggregation inducers, respectively. Aspirin was the positive control.RESULTS: Lots of the tested TCMs had inhibitory effects with concentration-dependent manner on platelet aggregations induced by various agonists.Especially, some of the TCMs such as Chuanxiong(Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Yanhusuo(Rhizoma Corydalis Yanhusuo) and Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae) showed good anti-platelet aggregation effect similar or higher than that in positive control group.CONCLUSION: The study provided scientific references that several TCMs such as Chuanxiong(Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Yanhusuo(Rhizoma Corydalis Yanhusuo) and Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),possess the property of anti-platelet aggregation. | Chen Cen Wang Fengqin Xiao Wen Xia Zhining Hu Guang Wan Jianbo Yang Fengqing | 2017 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,1: | 7
Microwave-assisted in situ synthesis of fluorescent gold nanoclusters with BSA/montmorillonite and application on latent fingermark imaging显示文摘A method for in situ preparation of fluorescent gold nanoclusters(Au NCs) with bovine serum albumin/montmorillonite composite powder(Au NC-BSA/MMT) was developed, and the products were used to detect latent fingermarks. In this work, Au NCs were 'grown' both inside and on the surface of BSA/MMT clay using one-step reduction of HAu Cl4 by BSA. The as-prepared Au NC-BSA/MMT nanocomposites emit intensive red fluorescence under the excitation of UV-visible light and show stable chemical features and low toxicity. The obtained fluorescent powders were characterized by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy/high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction to depict their sizes, structural information and optical features. Given their environmentally friendly preparation, simple operation, low cost, efficient UVvisible radiation-dependent photoluminescence and good affinity with finger residues, the in situ synthesized Au NC-BSA/MMT nanocomposite powders were used as an alternative fluorescent developing reagent for developing latent fingermarks deposited on various object surfaces(such as glass, aluminum foil, painted metal, plastic products and weighing papers) for individual identification. As results, the developed fingermarks with clear patterns and satisfactory level-2(minutiae points) and level-3(sweat pores) ridge details were obtained. Notably, treated prints could be excited by red light and emitted near infrared fluorescence, which was beneficial to avoid background interference and reduce the damage caused by UV light. With the advantages of the simple preparation process and good enhancement performance for latent fingermarks, the proposed method might be used in the preparation of various fluorescent probes for detecting trace evidence in forensic sciences. | Lei Yan Yanlin Yu Zhining Xia | 2018 | Science China Chemistry2018,61,5: | 6

Establishment and application of a new method for the determination of kinetic parameters by plug-plug kinetic capillary electrophoresis (ppKCE)显示文摘A novel plug-plug kinetic capillary electrophoresis method was established, which can be used to si-multaneously determine the kinetic parameters kon and koff in interaction systems. The method is comparatively simple and some restrictions in conventional ppKCE methods can be effectively avoided. The requirements for resolution and detection sensitivity in this method are much lower than those of conventional ppKCE. The successful determination of the kinetic parameters and the binding constant Kb between citalopram and BSA showed availability of this method. The results were confirmed by us-ing the time ratio method. The application field of kinetic capillary electrophoresis can be expanded with this new method. | XIONG CaiQiao XIA ZhiNing HUANG Rui CHEN Hua XU Pan | 2008 | Science China Chemistry2008,51,11: | 2
Investigation of interaction between the drug and cell membrane by capillary electrophoresis显示文摘By introducing cell membrane into electrophoretic buffer as pseudo-stationary phase,a novel capillary electrophoresis method was established to explore the interaction between drugs and cell membrane, where the interaction between citalopram and rabbit red blood cell membrane was used as an example. A series of concentrations of cell membrane were suspended into the running buffer by peak-shift method. The binding constant of citalopram to rabbit red blood cell membrane of 0.977 g-1·L was obtained after treatment of Scatchard plot. This method could provide not only a new way for the investigation on the interactions between drugs and cell membrane, but also a new approach for high throughput screening of the drug membrane permeability, biological activity, and evaluating drugs in vivo. | XIA ZhiNing LI LiXian YANG Jing XIONG CaiQiao | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,12: | 2
Electrostatic interaction mechanism on the separation of phenols by non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis显示文摘The electrostatic interaction between additive and analyte is of great importance to non-aqueous cap- illary electrophoresis(NACE)separation.Three tetraalkylammonium bromides and acetonitrile were applied as additives and running solvent respectively. The effect of alkyl chain length and concentra- tion of additive on electrostatic interactions was investigated by the separation of phenols. The sepa- ration ability was found to increase with decreasing alkyl chain length of the additive, and the resolu- tion values were increased with increasing additive concentration. The separation was seriously dete- riorated after a little amount of water was added in the running solution.Furthermore, the electrostatic interaction is strong under the conditions of low electron cloud density, weak steric hindrance and multi-interaction sites. Thus, the separation result can be predicted by theoretical analysis, which is helpful for the separation of other substances in NACE based on electrostatic interaction. | WEI WeiLi YIN YongGuang XIA ZhiNing CHEN ZhiTao LIU WeiQi | 2007 | Science China Chemistry2007,50,1: | 1
Variations in concentrations and bioavailability of heavy metals in rivers caused by water conservancy projects: Insights from water regulation of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir in the Yellow River显示文摘Water regulation of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir of the Yellow River was chosen as a case to investigate variations in concentrations and bioavailability of heavy metals caused by water conservancy projects in rivers. Water and suspended sediment(SPS) samples were collected at downstream sampling sites along the river during this period. Concentrations and speciation of Zn, Cr, Cu, Ni, and Pb in water and SPS samples were analyzed, and their bioaccumulation was studied with Daphnia magna. This study indicated that the exchangeable and carbonatebound fractions of heavy metals in SPS decreased along the studied stretch, and the dissolved heavy metal concentrations increased along the river with 1.6–15 folds. This is because sediment resuspension increased along the river during water regulation, giving rise to the increase of heavy metal release from SPS. The dissolved Zn, Cu, Ni, and Pb concentrations were significantly positively correlated with SPS concentrations, and their increase along the river was greater than Cr. The body burdens of heavy metals in D. magna exposed into samples collected from the reservoir outlet were 1.3–3.0 times lower than those from downstream stations, suggesting that the heavy metal bioavailability increased during water regulation. This should be considered in the reservoir operation. | Jianwei Dong Xinghui Xia Zhining Zhang Zixuan Liu Xiaotian Zhang Husheng Li | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,12: | 1
