1Two-dimensional self-organization of 1-nonanethiol-capped gold nanoparticles显示文摘A two-dimensional (2D) ordered hexagonal close-packed structure, formed by 1-nonanethiol-capped gold nanoparticles, is reported. The structure was constructed only by dipping the gold nanoparticle colloidal solution on flat substrate. The gold nanoparticles were synthesized as follows: First, AuCl4-1 was transferred from aqueous solution to toluene by the phase-transfer reagent of tetraoc-tylanunonium bromide. Then it was reduced with aqueous sodium borohydride in the presence of a given amount of 1-nonanethiol molecules which was used to control the nu-cleation and growth of the gold nanoparticles for the desired size. The experimental techniques, such as UV-Vis, FT-IR, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), were employed to characterize the obtained product. 4Optical visualization and polarized light absorption of the single-wall carbon nanotube to verify intrinsic thermal applications显示文摘The predicted extraordinary properties of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)from theoretical calculations have great potential for many applications.However,reliable experimental determination of intrinsic properties at the single-tube level is currently a matter of concern,and many challenges remain because of the unhandled and nanoscale size of individual nanotubes.Here,we demonstrated a prototype to detect the intrinsic thermal conductivity of the single-wall carbon nanotube(SWCNT)and verify the significant non-resonant optical absorption behavior on tiny nanotubes by integrating the nanotube and ice into a new core-shell design.In particular,a reversible optical visualization method based on the individual suspended ultra-long SWCNT was first developed by wrapping a nanotube with ice in the cryogenic air environment.The light-induced thermal effect on the hybrid core-shell structure was used tomelt the ice shell,which subsequently acted as a temperature sensor to verify the intrinsic thermal conductivity of the core-like nanotube.More interestingly,we successfully determined for the first time the thermal response phenomenon of the tiny absorption cross section in SWCNT in the vertical-polarization configuration and the significant non-resonant absorption behavior in the parallel-polarization configuration.These investigations will provide a better understanding for the unique optical behaviors of CNT and enable the detection of intrinsic properties of various one-dimensional nanostructures such as nanotubes,nanowires,and nanoribbons.Xiao Zhang Li Song Le Cai Xuezeng Tian Qiang Zhang Xiaoying Qi Wenbin Zhou Nan Zhang Feng Yang Qingxia Fan Yanchun Wang Huaping Liu Xuedong Bai Weiya Zhou Sishen Xie 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:2
5Interfacial polaron in quantum dots and luminescent porous silicon显示文摘Polaronic effect is important in the current researches on quantum dots (QD). This paper reported a new concept of the 'confined polaron', their size dependent formation possibilities and energy variation in different QD systems, with an indication of contribution from both intrinsic and/or extrinsic phonons. To understand the spectro-scopic characteristics of porous silicon (PS), we find that luminescence behavior of oxidized porous silicon is in good agreement with the model of interfacial confined polaron in QDs. 19Photoluminescence of C_(60) Single Crystals显示文摘The photoluminescence(PL)spectra of C_(60) single crystals grown under double temperature gradient(DTG)and single temperature gradient(STG)techniques were investigated at room temperature.The results show that the PL emission intensity increases first and then decreases with increasing illuminated power density for the C_(60) single crystals grown by both DTG and STG techniques.Furthermore,one main peak with a shoulder peak can be clearly distinguished at low illumination,while only one main peak without the shoulder peak can be seen at high illumination.The main peak undergoes a continuous blue shift and broadening with the increase of illuminated power density.The difference of PL emission energy at the same illumination density of DTG and STG samples may correlated with the degree of both the orientational disorder of C_(60) molecule and lattice perfectness.The Laue diffraction patterns show that the DTG sample has stronger strains and poorer crystalline quality than the STG sample.LI Chaorong WANG Gang ZHANG Jiaming MAI Zhenhong ZHAO Tienan XU Lu XIE Sishen 1995Chinese Physics Letters1995,12,5:0
20Composite cathode and anode films for rechargeable lithium batteries显示文摘Recently the rechargeable Li and Li_ion polymer batteries have improved due to development of Li_ion conductive gel electrolytes and of high energe granting intercalation compounds. In our laboratory the composite cathodic film, the composite carbon anode film and PVC_based electralyte film were successfully prepared by casting procedures. Cycling experiments of the cells with Li or composite carbon anode in contact with PVC_based electrolyte and composite cathode were performed. Relatively good performance of the cell with Li anode, the composite cathode and LiPF-6_EC_DEC electrolyte was achieved in that over 50 cycles were possible with minimal capacity loss upon cycling. The same cell with PVC_based electrolyte was cycled over 20 cycles. Replacing Li anode by composite carbon anode, the cell behaved like the latter.
