2Lamellar orientation control in directionally solidified TiAl intermetallics显示文摘TiAl-based alloys are potentially used as high-temperature structural materials with a high specific strength in the range of^900°C.However,the mechanical properties of TiAl-based alloys are extremely anisotropic with respect to the lamellar orientation of the microstructures.A balance combination of room-temperature ductility and strength can be achieved when the lamellar orientation are aligned parallel to the tensile stress direction.Lamellar orientation control of TiAl-based alloys by directional solidification technique has been widely studied in recent years.Two different directional solidification processes can be used to modify the lamellar orientation.One is a seeding technique and the other is adjusting the solidification path.This paper reviews the principles of the two methods and their progress.The influence of alloy composition and solidification parameters on lamellar orientation control is also discussed.Su Yanqing Liu Tong Li Xinzhong Chen Ruirun Ding Hongsheng Guo Jingjie Fu Hengzhi 2014China Foundry2014,11,4:7
3Establishing a rat model of spastic cerebral palsy by targeted ethanol injection显示文摘Spastic cerebral palsy is generally considered to result from cerebral cortical or pyramidal tract damage.Here,we precisely targeted the left pyramidal tract of 2-month-old Sprague-Dawley rats placed on a stereotaxic instrument under intraperitoneal anesthesia.Based on the rat brain stereotaxic map,a 1-mm hole was made 10 mm posterior to bregma and 0.8 mm left of sagitta suture.A microsyringe was inserted perpendicularly to the surface of the brain to a depth of 9.7 mm and 15μL of ethanol was slowly injected to establish a rat model of spastic cerebral palsy.After modeling,the rats appeared to have necrotic voids in the pyramidal tract and exhibited typical signs and symptoms of flexion spasms that lasted for a long period of time.These findings indicate that this is an effective and easy method of establishing a rat model of spastic cerebral palsy with good reproducibility.Ethanol as a chemical ablation agent specifically and thoroughly damages the pyramidal tract,and therefore,the animals display flexion spasms,which are a typical symptom of the disease.Yadong Yu Liang Li Xinzhong Shao Fangtao Tian Qinglu Sun 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,34:5
4Influence of silicide on fracture behavior of a fully lamellar Ti-46Al-0.5W-0.5Si alloy显示文摘The fracture behavior of fully lamellar binaryγ-TiAl alloys is extremely anisotropic with respect to the lamellar orientation.For the fully lamellar Ti-46Al-0.5W-0.5Si alloy,the existence of silicide clusters plays a critical role on the fracture behavior.In the present study,tensile test and three point bending test were performed at room temperature with the loading axis parallel and perpendicular to the lamellar orientation,respectively.To investigate the influence of silicide clusters on the initiation and propagation of cracks,the fracture surface and the cracks adjacent to the fracture zone of the specimens have been analyzed.Results show that the fracture process is related to the morphology and distribution of the silicide clusters.Crack preferentially initiates at and propagates along the interface of silicide andα 2 /γlamellar with the loading axis perpendicular to the length direction of silicide.While the silicide can prevent the propagation of cracks from running across with the crack growth direction perpendicular to the length direction of silicide.Chen Hui Su Yanqing Luo Liangshun Li Xinzhong Wang Zhantao Guo Jingjie Fu Hengzhi 2012China Foundry2012,9,2:4
5Efect of growth rate on characteristic lengths of microstructure in directionally solidiied Ti-46Al-2Cr-2Nb-0.2B alloy显示文摘The microstructure of TiAl based alloys is sensitive to growth rates.In this paper,Bridgman directional solidification of Ti-46Al-2Cr-2Nb-0.2B(at.%)alloy was carried out at a constant temperature gradient(G)to investigate the effects of various growth rates(v)on characteristic lengths(primary dendritic arm spacing,secondary dendritic arm spacing and lamellar spacing)of the microstructure.Results show that under the experimental conditions of G=18 K·mm-1and v=15μm·s-1to 70μm·s-1,the primary phase of directionally solidified Ti-46Al-2Cr-2Nb-0.2B alloy isαphase,the values of primary dendritic arm spacing(λl),secondary dendritic arm spacing(λ2)and lamellar spacing(λla)decrease with the increase in growth rate.The results were compared with theoretical models and similar experimental results of TiAl based alloys.The Bouchard-Kirkaldy model agrees well with the relationship between primary dendritic arm spacing and growth rate obtained in the experiment;the relationship between them can be expressed byλl=758.6v-0.39.The relationship between the secondary dendritic arm spacing and the growth rate can be expressed byλ2=113.9v-0.45,while the relationship between the lamellar spacing and growth rate can be expressed byλla=22.88v-0.94.Zhang Yuan Li Xinzhong Guo Jingjie Su Yanqing Fu Hengzhi 2013China Foundry2013,10,5:3
6Influence of columnar grain boundary on fracture behavior of as-cast fully lamellar Ti-46Al-0.5W-0.5Si alloy显示文摘The fracture behavior of fully lamellar γ-TiAl alloys depends on the angle between the lamellar orientation and loading axis,but the role of the presentation of grain boundary cannot be ignored.To investigate the influence of the grain boundary on the initiation and propagation of cracks,the tensile test of the alloy was conducted at room temperature with loading axis parallel and perpendicular to the lamellar orientation,respectively.The cracks adjacent to the fracture zone of the tensile specimens have been investigated to analyze the fracture behavior.Results show that the grain boundary has dual influences on the fracture behavior.When the loading axis is parallel to the lamellar orientation,cracks are preferentially initiated at and propagate along the grain boundaries.When the loading axis is perpendicular to the lamellar orientation,the grain boundaries can prevent the propagation of cracks from running across.Additionally,serrated-shape grain boundaries have a better inhibiting effect on the propagation of cracks than planar boundaries.Chen Hui Su Yanqing Luo Liangshun Li Xinzhong Liu Jiangping Guo Jingjie Fu Hengzhi 2012China Foundry2012,9,1:3
7Thermo-Calc based multi-component micro-segregation model and solidification paths calculations显示文摘On the basis of a multi-length scale modeling, a mixture-averaged multi-component /multiphase micro-segregation model was proposed without pre-set function for the micro-scale solute profile. The model explains the effect of morphologies of solidifying phases and solid back diffusion (SBD) on segregation, and covers the two limiting solidification cases of Scheil and Lever-rule models. A commercial Thermo-Calc software package/database was linked to the algorithms via its TQ6-interface for instantaneous determination of the related thermodynamic data of the multi-component alloys. The influences of cooling rate and other parameters on the solidification path and micro-segregation behavior were numerically investigated by sample calculation of the ternary Al-Cu-Mg alloys. A parallel experimental investigation on Al-Cu-Si alloys solidified under different cooling conditions was conducted to validate the theoretical model. 8Numerical simulation of flow and heat transfer of continous cast steel slab under traveling magnetic field显示文摘A unified numerical model for simulating solidification transport phenomena (STP) of steel slab in electromagnetic continuous casting (EMCC) process was developed. In order to solve the multi-physics fields coupled problem conveniently, the complicated bidirectional coupled process between EM and STP was simplified as a unidirectional one, and a FEM/FVM-combined numerical simulation technique was adopted. The traveling magnetic fields (TMFs) applied to the EMCC process were calculated using the ANSYS11.0 software, and then the EM-data output by ANSYS were converted to FVM-format using a data-format conversion program developed previously. Thereafter, the governing equations were solved using a pressure-based Direct-SIMPLE algorithm. The simulation results of the STP in CC-process show that, due to the influences of Lorentz force and Joule heat, the two strong circulating flows and the temperature field can be obviously damped and changed once TMF with one pair of poles (1-POPs) or 2-POPs is applied, which would accordingly improve the quality of casting. It was found in the present research that the integrated actions of 2-POPs TMF are superior to 1-POPs. 9Enhanced CMOS image sensor by flexible 3D nanocone anti-reflection film显示文摘Complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) image sensors(CIS) are being widely used in digital video cameras, web cameras, digital single lens reflex camera(DSLR), smart phones and so on, owing to their high level of integration, random accessibility, and low-power operation. It needs to be installed with the cover glass in practical applications to protect the sensor from damage, mechanical issues,and environmental conditions, which, however, limits the accuracy and usability of the sensor due to the reflection in the optical path from air-to-cover glass-to-air. In this work, the flexible 3D nanocone anti-reflection(AR) film with controlled aspect ratio was firstly employed to reduce the light reflection at air/cover glass/air interfaces by directly attaching onto the front and rear sides of the CIS cover glass.As both the front and rear sides of cover glass were coated by the AR film, the output image quality was found to be improved with external quantum efficiency increased by 7%, compared with that without AR film. The mean digital data value, root-mean-square contrast, and dynamic range are increased by45.14%, 38.61% and 57, respectively, for the output image with AR films. 10CS1003, a novel human and mouse cross-reactive PD-1 monoclonal antibody for cancer therapy显示文摘The programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)is an immune-checkpoint that negatively regulates the immune system and a key mechanism that tumors utilize to escape from immune surveillance.PD-1 antibodies can block the interaction of PD-1 with its ligands(PD-L1 and PD-L2),restore T cells activation,and elicit antitumor activity.In this paper,we reported a novel PD-1 monoclonal antibody(mAb)CS1003,which is a humanized IgG4 PD-1 mAb generated by conventional hybridoma technology,and currently being developed in multiple clinical trials as monotherapy or in combination with other anticancer agents.We showed that CS1003 bound to recombinant human,cynomolgus monkey,and mouse PD-1 with EC50 values of 0.1757,0.2459,and 0.3664 nM,respectively.CS1003 blocked PD-1 interaction with its ligands,dose-dependently enhanced T cell proliferation and secretion of cytokines(IL-2 and IFN-γ)to the levels comparable to the reference antibody pembrolizumab.Intraperitoneal administration of CS1003(0.1,0.5,2.5 mg/kg,once every 3 days)dose-dependently suppressed the growth of MC38-hPD-L1 colon cancer in hPD-1 knock-in mice.Pharmacokinetics(PK)study revealed a linear PK profile within the dose range of 2–18 mg/kg following single intravenous administration in cynomolgus monkey.These data provide a comprehensive preclinical characterization of CS1003 that supports its clinical development for cancer immunotherapy.Fu Li Jingrong Li Ke Yin Juan Zhang Zhen-hu Li Liang Lu Yuan-wu Bao Zhen Qin Yong Zheng Bao-tian Yang Jing Li Xinzhong Wang 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,1:2
11ERF4 affects fruit ripening by acting as a JAZ interactor between ethylene and jasmonic acid hormone signaling pathways显示文摘The regulation of apple(Malus domestica)fruit texture during ripening is complex and a fundamental determinant of its commercial quality.In climacteric fruit,ripening-related processes are regulated by ethylene(ET),and jasmonate(JA)is also involved in the ethylene biosynthesis pathway,mainly through the transcription factor MYC2.However,the molecular genetic mechanism for fruit ripening processes between the JA and ET signaling pathways still needs to be elucidated.In order to explore how JA regulates apple fruit ripening through ERF4,we used’Gala’and’Ralls Janet’fruit at different developmental stages as experimental materials to determine the fruit firmness and related gene expression analysis.Meanwhile,we carried out different hormone treatments on’Gala’fruit at ripening stage.Here,we show that ERF4 is a core JA signaling hub protein JASMONATE ZIM-DOMAIN(JAZ)interactor that affects ethylene signaling pathways.During fruit development,ERF4 represses the expression of ACS1 and ACO1 by interacting with JAZ,as well as with the JA-activated transcription factor MYC2.Ripening is promoted in JAZ-suppressed apples.Thus,ERF4 acts as a molecular link between ethylene and JA hormone signals,and the natural variation of the ERF4Ethylene-responsive binding factor-associated amphiphilic repression(EAR)motif decreases repression of ethylene biosynthesis genes.Yanan Hu Hualin Sun Zhenyun Han Shuai Wang Ting Wang Qiqi Li Ji Tian Yi Wang Xinzhong Zhang Xuefeng Xu Zhenhai Han Ting Wu 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,6:2
12Reprogramming of phytopathogen transcriptome by a non-bactericidal pesticide residue alleviates its virulence in rice显示文摘Bacteria equipped with virulence systems based on highly bioactive small molecules can circumvent their host's defense mechanisms.Pathogens employing this strategy are currently threatening global rice production.In the present study,variations in the virulence of the highly destructive Barkholderiaplantarii were observed in different rice-producing regions.The environment-linked variation was not attributable to any known host-related or external factors.Co-occurrence analyses indicated a connection between reduced virulence and 5-Amino-l,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol(ATT),a non-bactericidal organic compound.ATT,which accumulates in rice plants during metabolization of specific agrochemicals,was found to reduce virulence factor secretion by B.plantarii up to 88.8%and inhibit pathogen virulence by hijacking an upstream signaling cascade.Detailed assessment of the newly discovered virulence inhibitor resulted in mechanistic insights into positive effects of ATT accumulation in plant tissues.Mechanisms of virulence alleviation were deciphered by integrating high-throughput data,gene knockout mutants,and molecular interaction assays.TroK,a histidine protein kinase in a two-component system that regulates virulence factor secretion,is likely the molecular target antagonized by ATT.Our findings provide novel insights into virulence modulation in an important plant-pathogen system that relies on the host's metabolic activity and subsequent signaling interference.Haruna Matsumoto Yuan Qian Xiaoyan Fan Sunlu Chen Yanxia Nie Kun Qiao Dandan Xiang Xinzhong Zhang Meng Li Bo Guo Peilin Shen Qiangwei Wang Yunlong Yu Tomislav Cemava Mengcen Wang 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,2:2
13Characterization and expression analysis of an allograft inflammatory factor-1 homologue in yellow grouper (Epinephelus awoara)显示文摘Allograft inflammatory factor-1 (AIF-1) is a cytoplasmic calcium-binding protein involved in inflammatory response-related diseases in mammals. Previously an identified AIF-1 gene was simply reported in yellow grouper. The characterization of AIF-1 gene and its expression at the gene and protein level are further described. Yellow grouper AIF-1 is composed of 147 amino acids, and 64%~84% identical to other homologues. Basal level AIF-1 mRNA expression was noted in spleen, anterior kidney and kidney, using reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). After stimulation of LPS, the AIF-1 mRNA expression was up-regulated in tissues examined: spleen, anterior kidney, kidney, heart and liver, but not in muscle. The recombinant AIF-1 protein was expressed in Escherichia coli, and then purified for the development of antiserum.
