Using irrigation intervals to optimize water-use efficiency and maize yield in Xinjiang, northwest China显示文摘Worldwide, scarce water resources and substantial food demands require efficient water use and high yield. This study investigated whether irrigation frequency can be used to adjust soil moisture to increase grain yield and water use efficiency(WUE) of high-yield maize under conditions of mulching and drip irrigation.A field experiment was conducted using three irrigation intervals in 2016: 6, 9, and 12 days(labeled D6, D9, and D12) and five irrigation intervals in 2017: 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 days(D3, D6, D9, D12, and D15).In Xinjiang, an optimal irrigation quota is 540 mm for high-yield maize. The D3, D6, D9, D12, and D15 irrigation intervals gave grain yields of 19.7, 19.1–21.0, 18.8–20.0, 18.2–19.2, and 17.2 Mg ha^-1 and a WUE of 2.48, 2.53–2.80, 2.47–2.63, 2.34–2.45, and 2.08 kg m-3, respectively.Treatment D6 led to the highest soil water storage, but evapotranspiration and soil-water evaporation were lower than other treatments. These results show that irrigation interval D6 can help maintain a favorable soil-moisture environment in the upper-60-cm soil layer, reduce soilwater evaporation and evapotranspiration, and produce the highest yield and WUE.In this arid region and in other regions with similar soil and climate conditions, a similar irrigation interval would thus be beneficial for adjusting soil moisture to increase maize yield and WUE under conditions of mulching and drip irrigation. | Guoqiang Zhang Dongping Shen Bo Ming Ruizhi Xie Xiuliang Jin Chaowei Liu Peng Hou Jun Xue Jianglu Chen Wanxu Zhang Wanmao Liu Keru Wang Shaokun Li | 2019 | The Crop Journal2019,7,3: | 4
Defect Engineering on Carbon‑Based Catalysts for Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction显示文摘Electrocatalytic carbon dioxide(CO2)reduction(ECR)has become one of the main methods to close the broken carbon cycle and temporarily store renewable energy, but there are still some problems such as poor stability, low activity, and selectivity. While the most promising strategy to improve ECR activity is to develop electrocatalysts with low cost, high activity, and long-term stability.Recently, defective carbon-based nanomaterials have attracted extensive attention due to the unbalanced electron distribution and electronic structural distortion caused by the defects on the carbon materials. Here, the present review mainly summarizes the latest research progress of the construction of the diverse types of defects(intrinsic carbon defects, heteroatom doping defects, metal atomic sites, and edges detects)for carbon materials in ECR,and unveil the structure-activity relationship and its catalytic mechanism. The current challenges and opportunities faced by high-performance carbon materials in ECR are discussed,as well as possible future solutions. It can be believed that this review can provide some inspiration for the future of development of high-performance ECR catalysts. | Dongping Xue Huicong Xia Wenfu Yan Jianan Zhang Shichun Mu | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,1: | 4
Coupling mechanism between mining-induced deformation and permeability of coal显示文摘The coupling mechanism between mining-induced mechanical behavior and gas permeability of coal is effectively obtained in laboratory. This study means significant understanding of the prevention of coal-gas outburst. The testing samples of coal were drilled from the 14120 mining face at the depth of690 m.Based on the redistribution of stress during the excavation, the coupling test between mechanical state and seepage has been designed using the triaxial servo-controlled seepage equipment for thermofluid-solid coupling of coal containing methane. It is the result that there are two main factors influencing the mining-induced mechanical behavior of coal, such as the change ofσ_1-σ_3 andΔσ_1-Δσ_3.The failure mode mainly depends on the value ofσ_1-σ_3,and the peak strength value mainly depends on the value ofΔσ_1-Δσ_3.The difference of mechanical response between geostress and mining-induced stress has been obtained, which can be a theoretical support for safe mining such as reasonable gas drainage, prevention of coal-gas outburst and gas over-limit. | Xue Dongjie Zhou Hongwei Wang Chaosheng Li Dongping | 2013 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,6: | 3
Zeolite-confined Fe-site Catalysts for the Hydrogenation of CO_(2) to Produce High-value Chemicals显示文摘Zeolite-confined Fe-site catalysts(ZFCs)have emerged as superior materials for sustainably producing high-value chemicals through CO_(2) hydrogenation, owing to their adaptable framework, customizable composition, and thermal robustness. They excel in activating, adsorbing, and converting CO_(2) with remarkable efficiency and consistency in performance. This has sparked a surge in research interest in recent years. The review delves into the latest advancements in CO_(2) catalytic hydrogenation to olefins, alcohols, aromatics, and other liquid hydrocarbons, examining the synthesis, modification tactics, and the correlation between structure and performance across various ZFCs.Additionally,it underscores the pivotal factors affecting performance and sheds light on the mechanisms behind selectivity control in the CO_(2) hydrogenation process facilitated by ZFCs.To conclude,it presents pressing challenges and strategic recommendations to inspire the development of high-performance,durable ZFCs for CO_(2) hydrogenation applications. | HAN Xiaoyang XIA Huicong TU Weifeng WEI Yifan XUE Dongping LI Minhan YAN Wenfu ZHANG Jia-Nan HAN Yi-Fan | 2024 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2024,40,1: | 0
Rational confinement engineering of MOF-derived carbonbased electrocatalysts toward CO_(2)reduction and O_(2)reduction reactions显示文摘The goal of global carbon peak and neutrality gives an impetus to the utilization of clean energy(e.g.,fuel cell)and carbon dioxide(CO_(2))at a large scale, where the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)are the key reactions via the sustainable system, respectively. As a main precursor for fabricating affordable carbon-based electrocatalysts with uniformly dispersed active centers and tailorable performances for ORR and CO_(2)RR,metal organic frameworks(MOFs)have captured a surge of interest in recent years.Despite the facilitated development of MOF-derived carbon-based electrocatalysts by many investigations,it is still plagued by high overpotential and unsatisfied life span, which are greatly determined by the efficient and alterable confinement effect on synthesis and performance. In this review, firstly, the confined synthetic strategies(doping engineering, defect engineering, geometric engineering, etc.)of MOF-derived carbon-based electrocatalysts with multi-sized active centers(atom, atomic clusters and nanoparticles(NPs))are systematically summarized;secondly, the confinement effect on the interaction of ORR and CO_(2)RR intermediates,as well as the catalytic durability and activity, was discussed from chemical and physical aspects. In the end,the review discusses the remaining challenges and emerging research topics in the future, including support upgradation and catalyst innovation, high selectivity and effective confinement synthesis,in situ and operando characterization techniques, theoretical investigation, and artificial intelligence(AI)assistant. The new understanding and insights into these aspects will guide the rational confinement concept of MOF-derived carbon-based electrocatalysts for ORR and CO_(2)RR with optimized performances in terms of confinement engineering and are believed to be helpful for filling the existing gaps between scientific communities and practical use. | Xiaoyu Zhang Dongping Xue Su Jiang Huicong Xia Yanlin Yang Wenfu Yan Jinsong Hu Jianan Zhang | 2022 | InfoMat2022,4,3: | 0
