3Changes in Electroencephalogram Approximate Entropy Reflect Auditory Processing and Functional Complexity in Frogs显示文摘Brain systems engage in what are generally considered to be among the most complex forms of information processing. In the present study, we investigated the functional complexity of anuran auditory processing using the approximate entropy(Ap En) protocol for electroencephalogram(EEG) recordings from the forebrain and midbrain while male and female music frogs(Babina daunchina) listened to acoustic stimuli whose biological significance varied. The stimuli used were synthesized white noise(reflecting a novel signal), conspecific male advertisement calls with either high or low sexual attractiveness(reflecting sexual selection) and silence(reflecting a baseline). The results showed that 1) Ap En evoked by conspecific calls exceeded Ap En evoked by synthesized white noise in the left mesencephalon indicating this structure plays a critical role in processing acoustic signals with biological significance; 2) Ap En in the mesencephalon was significantly higher than for the telencephalon, consistent with the fact that the anuran midbrain contains a large well-organized auditory nucleus(torus semicircularis) while the forebrain does not; 3) for females Ap En in the mesencephalon was significantly different than that of males, suggesting that males and females process biological stimuli related to mate choice differently.Yansu LIU Yanzhu FAN Fei XUE Xizi YUE Steven E.BRAUTH Yezhong TANG Guangzhan FANG 2016Asian Herpetological Research2016,7,3:4
4Dielectric Properties of Polytetrafluoroethylene/CaCu_3Ti_4O_(12) Composites显示文摘Polymer-based composite was investigated by embedding calcium copper titanate(CaCu_3Ti_4O_(12); CCTO) fillers into polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) matrix. The dielectric performances of the composite were investigated within the frequency range from 100 Hz to 1 MHz. It is indicated that dielectric permittivity(ε) and dielectric loss(tanδ) increase gradually as the filler content increases. Dielectric permittivity for the composite with 50 vol% CCTO filler loading is 33.5, approximately 16 times higher than that of pure PTFE(ε = 2.1) at 100 Hz. As the frequency increases, the dielectric loss decreases rapidly and reaches stability, and then remains low when the frequency rises to 1 MHz. The values for dielectric permittivity and dielectric loss in the microwave frequency(8-13 GHz) are lower than that in low frequency of 10 kHz for the composites because of different polarization modes. 7Task-Attribute-Based Access Control Scheme for IoT via Blockchain显示文摘As a new form of network,the Internet of things(IoT)is becoming more widely used in people’s lives.In this paper,related theoretical research and practical applications of the IoT are explored.The security of the IoT has become a hot research topic.Access controls are methods that control reasonable allocations of data and resources and ensure the security of the IoT.However,most access control systems do not dynamically assign users’rights.Additionally,with some access control systems,there is a risk of overstepping other user’s authority,and there may exist a central authority that is a single point of failure.Therefore,to solve these problems,this paper proposes a Task-Attribute-Based Access Control scheme for the IoT via blockchain that combines the access control technologies of both the IoT and blockchain.This model,which merges the advantages of task-based access controls and attribute-based access controls,is perfectly integrated with blockchain technology.This model uses hash functions and digital signature algorithms to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the data,and it can dynamically allocate users’minimum privileges and thus perfectly solves the single point of failure problem.The model is implemented using a Geth client and solidity code,and the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the model.Hao Chen Wunan Wan Jinyue Xia Shibin Zhang Jinquan Zhang Xizi Peng Xingjie Fan 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,12:1
8Oil-polluted water purification via the carbon-nanotubes-doped organohydrogel platform显示文摘Solar-driven evaporators are promising for tackling freshwater scarcity but still challenged in simultaneously realizing comprehensive performances at one platform for sustainable and efficient application in real-world environments,such as stablefloating,scalability,salt-resistance,efficient vaporization,and anti-oil-fouling property.Herein,we design a hybrid organohydrogel evaporator to achieve the enduring oil contamination repulsion with maintaining accelerated evaporation process,and integrate capacities of ultra-stable floating,hindered salt-crystallization,large-scale fabrication for practical purification of seawater and polluted solutions.The raised water surface surrounding evaporators,induced by low density of organogel-phase,results in oil contamination resistance through the lateral capillary repulsion effect.Meanwhile,the organogel-phase containing photo-thermal carbon-nanotubes with low thermal capacity and conduction can form locally confined hot dots under solar irradiation and reduce heat dissipation on heating excessive water.Therefore,based on this approach,accelerated long-term practical purification of oilcontaminated solutions without any extra disposal is realized.Considering other properties of ultra-stable floating,large-scale fabrication,and anti-salt crystallization,these innovative organohydrogel evaporators open pathways for purifying oil-slickpolluted water via interfacial evaporation and are anticipated accelerating industrialization of efficient and sustainable solar-driven water purification.Xuetao Xu Xizi Wan Haonan Li Yikai Zhang Wen He Shuli Wang Miao Wang Xu Hou Shutao Wang 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1
9Recent progress in electrospun nanofibers and their applications in heavy metal wastewater treatment显示文摘Novel adsorbents with a simple preparation process and large capacity for removing highly toxic and nondegradable heavy metals from water have drawn the attention of researchers.Electrospun nanofiber membranes usually have the advantages of large specific surface areas and high porosity and allowing flexible control and easy functionalization.These membranes show remarkable application potential in the field of heavy metal wastewater treatment.In this paper,the electrospinning technologies,process types,and the structures and types of nanofibers that can be prepared are reviewed,and the relationships among process,structure and properties are discussed.On one hand,based on the different components of electrospun nanofibers,the use of organic,inorganic and organic−inorganic nanofiber membrane adsorbents in heavy metal wastewater treatment are introduced,and their advantages and future development are summarized and prospected.On the other hand,based on the microstructure and overall structure of the nanofiber membrane,the recent progresses of electrospun functional membranes for heavy metal removal are reviewed,and the advantages of different structures for applications are concluded.Overall,this study lays the foundation for future research aiming to provide more novel structured adsorbents.Xizi Xu He Lv Mingxin Zhang Menglong Wang Yangjian Zhou Yanan Liu Deng-Guang Yu 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,3:1

14Molecular phylogenomic analysis reveals a single origin of monkeypox virus transmission in Guangzhou,China in June 2023显示文摘The monkeypox(mpox)virus has caused worldwide transmission since its initial report in England in early May 2022.Available data from the World Health Organization(WHO)show that Europe and the Americas experienced a huge wave of mpox virus infection.Now the number of infected cases is on the rise in Asia.Several sporadic infections have been reported in China.In this study,we obtained high‐quality whole viral genomic sequences using a mpox virus‐specific amplicon‐based sequencing strategy.Our analysis of the phylogenomic characteristics indicated that all eight mpox virus sequences from Guangzhou belonged to the clade IIb lineage B.1.3 cluster.However,we could not locate the exact origins where the virus was imported,based on all the available mpox virus sequences from the Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza Data(GISAID)database(http://gffzz25fa773688d24fb7sno00xb6xqpp06xv5.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/),except for their closest sequence similarity to that was reported from Japan.Novel amino acid mutations were found among the eight cases,suggesting that a local transmission may have occurred in Guangzhou,China.Mengling Jiang Xizi Deng Qinghong Fan Fei Gu Huiqin Yang Jian Wang Xiaoping Tang Fengyu Hu Yun Lan Feng Li 2023Biosafety and Health2023,5,5:0
15A Secure Signcryption Scheme for Electronic Health Records Sharing in Blockchain显示文摘In the existing Electronic Health Records(EHRs),the medical information of patients is completely controlled by various medical institutions.As such,patients have no dominant power over their own EHRs.These personal data are not only inconvenient to access and share,but are also prone to cause privacy disclosure.The blockchain technology provides a new development direction in the medical field.Blockchain-based EHRs are characterized by decentralization,openness and non-tampering of records,which enable patients to better manage their own EHRs.In order to better protect the privacy of patients,only designated receivers can access EHRs,and receivers can authenticate the sharer to ensure that the EHRs are real and effective.In this study,we propose an identity-based signcryption scheme with multiple authorities for multiple receivers,which can resist N-1 collusion attacks among N authorities.In addition,the identity information of receivers is anonymous,so the relationship between them and the sharer is not disclosed.Under the random oracle model,it was proved that our scheme was secure and met the unforgeability and confidentiality requirements of signcryption.Moreover,we evaluated the performance of the scheme and found that it had the moderate signcryption efficiency and excellent signcryption attributes.Xizi Peng Jinquan Zhang Shibin Zhang Wunan Wan Hao Chen Jinyue Xia 2021Computer Systems Science & Engineering2021,37,5:0
16Complete genome sequence of two strawberry vein banding virus isolates from China显示文摘It was rarely reported about strawberry vein banding virus(SVBV)genome sequence in China and most countries worldwide.In this work,we determined the complete genome sequences of two SVBV isolates in China,designated SVBV-AH and SVBV-BJ,that were obtained from naturally infected strawberry samples from Anhui province and Beijing city of China,respectively.The complete genomes of SVBV-AH and SVBV-BJ were 7,862 nucleotides(nts)and 7,863 nts long,respectively,and both constituted with seven genes typical of the caulimoviruses.Alignment of complete nucleotide sequences showed that SVBV-AH and SVBV-BJ shared a significant nucleotide sequence identity of 97.7%of each other and had 85.7%and 86.0%sequence identity related to SVBV from the United States(SVBV-US),respectively.Phylogenetic trees,based on the alignment of complete nucleotide sequences and amino acid sequences of Coat Protein(CP),both showed that SVBV-AH and SVBV-BJ clustered into one branch with all the other SVBV isolates,and other species of caulimoviruses clustered into another tree branch.It illustrated that all the SVBV isolates had an extremely high relationship but had a distant relationship with other species of caulimoviruses.We further confirmed that SVBV-AH infectious clone could cause similar symptoms to SVBVinfected in strawberry under natural conditions.Taken together,our study provided valuable information to elucidate the origin and dissemination of SVBV Chinese isolates,meanwhile providing the necessary vector for studying the gene functions of strawberry.LEI JIANG SHUAI LI XIZI JIANG TONG JIANG 2021BIOCELL2021,45,6:0
17Effect of Nano Silver Modification on the Dielectric Properties of Ag@TiO_(2)/PVDF Composites显示文摘To get a dielectric material with a high dielectric permittivity and suppressed dielectric loss,nano-Ag with a particle size of 20 nm and Ag@TiO_(2)core-shell particles with diameters of approximately 70-120 nm were embedded in polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)to fabricate nano-Ag/Ag@TiO_(2)/PVDF composites.After being modified by nano-Ag with 3 vol%optimal amount,the relative permittivity(ε_r)at 100 Hz of 50 vol%Ag@TiO_(2)/PVDF composites was 61,and the dielectric loss can be suppressed to 0.04,almost 96.4%lower than that of unmodified composites,and a higher frequency stability of bothε_r and loss has also been found.The underlying mechanism of the reduced loss was attributed to Maxwell-Wagner polarization and the Coulomb blockade effect caused by the introduction of a small amount of nano-Ag,which will block the movement of electrons between metal nanoparticles and composites.The space charge polarization and conductance loss are weakened at lower and higher Ag@TiO_(2)filling ratios,respectively,thus leading to a very low loss of the composites.戴金航 MENG Shunliang YANG Chuntian Lv Wenzhong CHEN Xizi YIN Yuhao 梁飞 2021Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,3:0
18Layered ACO-FOFDM for IM/DD Systems显示文摘We propose a layered asymmetrically clipped optical fast orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(ACO-FOFDM)scheme for intensitymodulated and directdetected(IM/DD)systems. Layered ACO-FOFDM can compensate the weaknessof conventional ACO-FOFDM in low spectral efficiency. For FOFDM system, the utilization of discrete cosine transform(DCT) instead of fast Fourier transform(FFT) can reduce thecomputational complexity without any influence on bit errorrate(BER) performance. At transmitter, the superposition ofmultiple layers is performed in frequency domain, and the iterative receiver is used to recover transmitted signals by subtracting the clipping noise of each layer. We compare theBER performance of the proposed layered ACO-FOFDM system and DC-offset FOFDM(DCO-FOFDM) system with optimal DCbias at the same spectral efficiency. Simulation results show that in terms of optical bit energy to noise powerratio, the layered ACO-OFDM system has 1.23 dB, 2.77 dB,3.67 dB and 0.78 dB improvement at the forward error correction(FEC) limit compared with DCO-FOFDM system whenthe spectral efficiencies are 1 bit/s/Hz, 2 bits/s/Hz, 3 bits/s/Hz and 4 bits/s/Hz. 19Simulation of FY-2D infrared brightness temperature and sensitivity analysis to the errors of WRF simulated cloud variables显示文摘This study simulated FY-2 D satellite infrared brightness images based on the WRF and RTTOV models. The effects of prediction errors in WRF micro-and macroscale cloud variables on FY-2 D infrared brightness temperature accuracy were analyzed. The principle findings were as follows. In the T+0–48 h simulation time, the root mean square errors of the simulated brightness temperatures were within the range 10–27 K, i.e., better than the range of 20–40 K achieved previously. In the T+0–24 h simulation time, the correlation coefficients between the simulated and measured brightness temperatures for all four channels were >0.5. The simulation performance of water channel IR3 was stable and the best. The four types of cloud microphysical scheme considered all showed that the simulated values of brightness temperature in clouds were too high and that the distributions of cloud systems were incomplete, especially in typhoon areas. The performance of the THOM scheme was considered best, followed in descending order by the WSM6, WDM6, and LIN schemes. Compared with observed values, the maximum deviation appeared in the range 253–273 K for all schemes. On the microscale, the snow water mixing ratio of the THOM scheme was much bigger than that of the other schemes. Improving the production efficiency or increasing the availability of solid water in the cloud microphysical scheme would provide slight benefit for brightness temperature simulations. On the macroscale, the cloud amount obtained by the scheme used in this study was small. Improving the diagnostic scheme for cloud amount, especially high-level cloud, could improve the accuracy of brightness temperature simulations. 20Tailoring the selective adsorption sites of NiMoO by Ni particles for biomass upgrading assisted hydrogen production显示文摘5-Hydroxymethylfurfural electrooxidation reaction(HMFOR)is a promising route to produce valueadded chemicals from biomass.Since it involves HMF adsorption and C-H/O-H cleavage,understanding the adsorption behavior and catalytic process of organic molecules on catalysts is important.Herein,the selective adsorption sites of NiMoO are tuned by Ni particles for HMFOR-assisted H2production.Experimental and theoretical calculation results indicate that the synergistic interaction between Ni and NiMoO optimizes the adsorption/desorption of HMF/intermediates/2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)and promotes the C-H/O-H bond cleavage,thereby improving the HMFOR kinetics(kNiMoO-Ni/kNiMoO=1.97)and FDCA selectivity(99.3%).When coupled as a two-electrode system,it can drive efficient HMF conversion(FDCA yield:98.5%)and H2production(Faradaic efficiency:99.1%)at 1.45 V.This work thus offers a strategy to tune the adsorption sites of catalyst for efficient HMFOR-assisted H2production.Jia Wu Zhixiang Zhai Tianqi Yu Xizi Wu Shuaiqin Huang Wenqing Cao Yixuan Jiang Jinge Pei Shibin Yin 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11:0
