| 2 | Trends of the precipitation acidity over China during 1992–2006显示文摘The trends of the precipitation acidity from 1992 to 2006 were studied, based on the long-term acid rain observations at 74 sites in China. The results show that there was no remarkable change or extension of acid rain area (i.e., with annual mean of precipitation pH<5.6) during the 15 years. The largest and continuous acid rain area exists in the south of the Yangtze River, while the acid rain areas north of the Yangtze River remain separate. The severe acid rain area (i.e., with annual mean of precipitation pH<4.5) exists mainly in the south of the Yangtze River. The overall precipitation acidity for the 74 stations showed different trends before 1999 and after 2000. In the period 1992–1999, the precipitation acidity at most of the sites remained steady or showed a decreasing trend. After 2000, however, an increasing trend of the precipitation acidity was observed at many sites in North China, Central China, East China, and South China. As a result, the pattern of acid rain area changed during 1992–2006. The precipitation over North China, Central China, and South China became more acidified in the 15 years, with more pronounced trends in North China and the north of Central China. A slight decrease in the precipitation acidity was found in Southwest China, an area characterized as severest acid rain area for about two decades after the early 1980s. Consequently, the center of severe acid rain area in the south of the Yangtze River moved eastwards. The non-hydrogen conductivity (NHC), which is defined as the difference between the measured precipitation conductivity and the H+ conductivity calculated from measured pH, was estimated and treated as a proxy of soluble ions in precipitation. The result shows that the overall trend of the NHC before 1999 was pronounced and positive, while the trend after 2000 was inconspicuous or slightly negative. | 3 | Spatial-temporal pattern changes of main agriculture natural disasters in China during 1990-2011显示文摘China is a disaster prone country, and a comprehensive understanding of change of disasters is very important for China's agricultural development. In this study, statistical techniques and geographic information system tools are employed to quantify the main agriculture disasters changes and effects on grain production in China during the period of 1990–2011. The results show that China's grain production was severely affected by disasters including drought, flood, hail, frost and typhoon. The annual area covered by these disasters reached up to 48.7×106 ha during the study period, which accounted for 44.8% of the total sown area, and about 55.1% of the per unit area grain yield change was caused by disasters. In addition, all of the disasters showed high variability, different changing trends, and spatial distribution. Drought, flood, and hail showed significantly decreasing trends, while frost and typhoon showed increasing trends. Drought and flood showed gradual changes and were distributed across the country, and disasters became more diversified from north to south. Drought was the dominated disaster type in northern China, while flood was the most important disaster type in the southern part. Hail was mainly observed in central and northern China, and frost was mainly distributed in southern China. Typhoon was greatly limited to the southeast coast. Furthermore, the resilience of grain production of each province was quite different, especially in several major grain producing areas, such as Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin and Jiangsu, where grain production was seriously affected by disasters. One reason for the difference of resilience of grain production was that grain production was marginalized in developed provinces when the economy underwent rapid development. | 5 | Reconstructing Spatial Distribution of Historical Cropland in China′s Traditional Cultivated Region: Methods and Case Study显示文摘As an important part of land use/cover change(LUCC), historical LUCC in long time series attracts much more attention from scholars. Currently, based on the view of combining the overall control of cropland area and ′top-down′ decision-making behaviors, here are two global historical land-use datasets, generally referred as the Sustainability and the Global Environment datasets(SAGE datasets) and History Database of the Global Environment datasets(HYDE datasets). However, at the regional level, these global datasets have coarse resolutions and inevitable errors. Considering various factors that influenced cropland distribution, including cropland connectivity and the limitation of natural and human factors, this study developed a reconstruction model of historical cropland based on constrained Cellular Automaton(CA) of ′bottom-up′. Then, an available labor force index is used as a proxy for the amount of cropland to inspect and calibrate these spatial patterns. Applied the reconstruction model to Shandong Province, we reconstructed its spatial distribution of cropland during 8 periods. | 6 | Farmland dataset reconstruction and farmland change analysis in China during 1661-1985显示文摘This research reconstructs China's provincial farmland dataset in the last 300 years(1661–1985) by applying factor correction, citing replacement, linear interpolation, cohesion and contrast, man-land relationship test, farming trend test, provincial administrative area adjustment, etc. on available farmland data based on China's current provincial administrative boundary. Based on this dataset, a quantitative analysis has been applied to study the farmland amount and its change characteristics at both national and provincial level. Three conclusions are derived:(1) Along with the rapid population growth, national farmland amount has increased by about 320% in the last 300 years from 424,480 km2 in the early Qing Dynasty to 1,368,600 km2 in 1985. Comparing with global and national farmland datasets, in terms of the overall trend of national farmland growth, very low deviation exists but significant variances do appear for some provinces.(2) At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, China's farming activities mainly existed in the Yangtze River Plain, the North China Plain, the Guanzhong Basin and the Yinchuan Plain. Thereafter, reclamation activities expanded to outer agricultural areas. Regarding of the growth rate, national farmland increase can be divided into five phases. National policy, disasters, wars, and economic development, are the main factors affecting farmland changes.(3) Significant regional variances exist in farmland changes. | 9 | Carbon emissions induced by farmland expansion in China during the past 300 years显示文摘Scientific assessment of the accounting over carbon in the terrestrial ecosystem in the process land use/land cover changes caused by human activities will help reduce the uncertainty in estimating carbon emissions from the terrestrial ecosystem. This study employs a bookkeeping model to estimate the carbon emissions from farmland reclamation in China during the past 300 years based on the annual rate of land use changes(derived from historical natural vegetation, farmland data), preset carbon density and coefficients of disturbance curves. We find out that:(1) there was a net increase of 79.30×10~4km^2 in national farmland; about 65% of reclaimed farmland had been forest land and 26% of that had been grass land previously;(2) the total amount of carbon emissions from farmland expansion in China had been between 2.94 and 5.61 Pg with the median 3.78 Pg during the past 300 years; specifically, carbon emissions of vegetation were 1.58 Pg while those of soil ranged from 1.35 Pg to4.03 Pg with the median 2.20 Pg;(3) carbon emissions vary greatly across various ecosystems: the emissions were most from forest land, and then grass land and swamps, and the least from shrubs; deserts functioned more likely to be carbon stock in the process of land reclamation;(4) along the time line, carbon emissions had decreased first and then increased while the peak emissions occurred in the first half of 20 th century; and spatially, carbon emissions were most released in Northeast and Southwest China; Northwest China was of the minimum carbon emissions. | Xuhong YANG Xiaobin JIN Xiaomin XIANG Yeting FAN Jing LIU Wei SHAN Yinkang ZHOU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,2: | 2 |
| 10 | Thermal performance of a 3D printed lattice-structure heat sink packaging phase change material显示文摘Thermal storage technology is becoming more and more significant with the increase of high-power equipment in space applications.In this paper,3 D printing technology and Phase Change Material(PCM)were combined into a Thermal Energy Storage(TES)system,which could fulfill the requirements of light weight and high thermal conductivity.A 3 D-printed lattice-structure TES plate with N-tetradecane as the PCM and aluminum alloy as the thermal conductivity enhancer was manufactured,and experimentally tested in a thermal vacuum chamber.In addition,a simplified simulation model of the lattice cell was established to clearly analyze the heat transfer process of the TES plate.The effects of initial temperature distribution and heat load gradient on the thermal storage performances were investigated experimentally and theoretically.The equivalent thermal conductivity of the 3 D-printed lattice-structure TES plate turns out to be 13 times of the pure PCM thanks to the aluminum skeleton.The heat transfer enhancement appears at the end of the phase change stage due to the sudden mixture of the PCM with different temperature.The simulation results agree well with the experimental data.The equivalent thermal conductivity obtained by the phase change simulations are a little higher than those of the experiments,which is mainly caused by the initial uneven temperature distribution in the tests.Additionally,the effects of non-uniform heat load and the presence of the PCM in the TES plate are studied.This work successfully validates the feasibility and effectiveness of 3 D printing technology and TES technology for the temperature control in space applications. | Yuandong GUO Huning YANG Guiping LIN Haichuan JIN Xiaobin SHEN Jiang HE Jianyin MIAO | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5: | 2 |
| 11 | Experimental study on pulse radar target probing in RFS based on interrupted transmitting and receiving显示文摘Radar target probing and measurement are challenging tasks for Radio Frequency Simulation(RFS) with pulse radar signal. Due to the long-time duration of pulse radar signal and the limited space of anechoic chamber, the reflected signal returns before pulse radar signal is fully transmitted in RFS. As a consequence, the transmitted and reflected signals are coupled at the receiver. To handle this problem, the Interrupted Transmitting and Receiving(ITR) experiment system is constructed in this paper by dividing the pulse radar signal into sub-pulses. The target echo can be obtained by transmitting and receiving the sub-pulses intermittently. Furthermore, the principles of ITR are discussed and the target probing experiments are performed with the ITR system. It is demonstrated that the ITR system can overcome the coupling between the reflected and transmitted signals. | 12 | Two-year measurements of surface ozone at Dangxiong,a remote highland site in the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Measurements of surface O3 and carbon monoxide(CO) were made from September 2009 to August 2011 at Dangxiong(30.48°N, 91.10°E, 4187 m a.s.l.), a remote highland site in a southern valley of the Nyainqêntanglha Mountains in the Tibetan Plateau, China. The monthly mean O3 mixing ratio ranged from 29.1 to 51.4 ppb, with an average of 38.5 ppb, and the maximum value was observed in May. The average diurnal cycle of O3 concentration showed a minimum in early morning and a maximum in the afternoon, with a broader 'high platform' from the late morning to the late afternoon, and resembled that of surface wind speed. The concentration of surface O3 was highly significantly correlated with tropospheric column O3 over the regions surrounding Dangxiong and with that of surface O3 observed at a site north of the Nyainqêntanglha Mountains, suggesting a good regional representativeness of surface O3 at Dangxiong. In the afternoon when stronger winds blew, surface air showed distinct features of free-atmospheric air, with higher O3, lower CO, and lower relative humidity(RH). The negative O3–CO and O3–RH correlations in most months indicate a significant influence of air masses from the free troposphere. In our algorithm, context pattern information,extracted through volume local binary patterns computation on three orthogonal planes(LBP-TOP) between local target areas with surrounding areas, is explicitly taken into consideration for localizing abnormality. To capture motion information, a novel feature descriptor named Multi-scale Histogram of Frequency Coefficient is explored by taking Fourier Transform on the extracted dense trajectories. | 15 | Structural properties and electrochemical performance of different polymorphs of Nb_(2)O_(5) in magnesium-based batteries显示文摘The selection of the most suitable crystal structure for ions storage and the investigation of the corresponding reaction mechanism is still an ongoing challenge for the development of Mg-based batteries.In this article,high flexible graphene network supporting different crystal structures of Nb2 O5(TTNb_(2)O_(5)@rGO and T-Nb_(2)O_(5)@rGO) are successfully synthesized by a spray-drying-assisted approach.The three-dimensional graphene framework provides high conductivity and avoids the aggregation of Nb2 O5 nanoparticles.When employed as electrode materials for energy storage applications,TT-Nb_(2)O_(5) delivers a higher discharge capacity of 129.5 mAh g^(-1), about twice that of T-Nb_(2)O_(5) for Mg-storage,whereas,T-Nb_(2)O_(5) delivers a much higher capacity(162 mAh g^(-1)) compared with TT-Nb_(2)O_(5)(129 mAh g^(-1)) for Li-storage.Detailed investigations reveal the Mg intercalation mechanism and lower Mg^(2+) migration barriers,faster Mg^(2+) diffusion kinetics of TT-Nb_(2)O_(5) as cathode material for Mg-storage,and the faster Li+ diffusion kinetics,shorter diffusion distance of T-Nb_(2)O_(5) as cathode material for Li-storage.Our work demonstrates that exploring the proper crystal structure of Nb2 O5 for different ions storage is necessary. | Cunyuan Pei Yameng Yin Xiaobin Liao Fangyu Xiong Qinyou An Mengda Jin Yan Zhao Liqiang Mai | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,7: | 1 |
| 16 | Quantitative estimation and spatial reconstruction of urban and rural construction land in Jiangsu Province, 1820-1985显示文摘Land cover is the most evident landscape signal to characterize the influence of human activities on terrestrial ecosystems.Since the industrial revolution,the expansion of construction land has profoundly changed the status of land use coverage and changes.This study is proposed to reconstruct the spatial pattern of construction land(urban construction land and rural settlement land)for five historical periods over the past 200 years in Jiangsu Province with 200 m′200 m grids on the basis of quantitative estimation.Urban construction land is estimated based on data about city walls,four gates along walls,and other socio-economic factors.Rural settlement land is calculated based on the rural population and per capita housing allowance.The spatial pattern of historical construction land is simulated based on the distribution of modern construction land in 1985 with a quantitative-boundarysuitability control method and thorough consideration over connectivity of different land use types.The study concludes that:(1)the amount of construction land in Jiangsu Province is estimated at 963.46 km^2 in 1820,1043.46 km^2 in 1911,1672.40 km^2 in 1936,1980.34 km^2 in1952 and 10,687.20 km^2 in 1985;and(2)the spatial distribution of construction land features the great proclivity to water bodies and main roads and the strong polarization of existent residence.The results are verified directly and indirectly by applying the trend verification of construction land changes and patterns,the correlation analysis between rural settlement land and local arable land,and quantitative accuracy test of the reconstructed construction land to actual historical survey maps covering four sample regions in 1936. | XIE Jinyuan JIN Xiaobin LIN Yinan CHENG Yinong YANG Xuhong BAI Qing ZHOU Yinkang | 2017 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2017,27,10: | 1 |

| 20 | Multi-time scale photoelectric behavior in facile fabricated transparent and flexible silicon nanowires aerogel membrane显示文摘In recent years,transparent and flexible materials have been widely pursued in electronics and optoelectronics fields for usage as planar electrodes,energy conversion components and sensing units.As the most widely applied semiconductor material,the related progress in silicon is of great significance although with large difficulty.Herein,we report a one-step method to achieve flexible and transparent silicon nanowires aerogel membrane.A competitive carrier kinetics involving interfacial trapped carriers and the valence electrons transition is demonstrated,according to the photoelectric performance of a sandwiched graphene/silicon nanowires membrane/AI device,i.e.,rapidly positive photoresponse dominated by laser excited^ee-carriers generation(〜500 ms)and subsequent slow negative photocurrent evolution due to laser heating involved multi-levels process(>10 s).These results contribute to fabrication of silicon nanowire self-assembly structures and also the exploration of their optoelectrical properties in flexible and transparent devices. | Jin Yang Jingbo He Xiaobin Zou Bo Sun Yong Sun Chengxin Wang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 0 |
