4Impulsive control of unstable neural networks with unbounded time-varying delays显示文摘This paper considers the impulsive control of unstable neural networks with unbounded timevarying delays, where the time delays to be addressed include the unbounded discrete time-varying delay and unbounded distributed time-varying delay. By employing impulsive control theory and some analysis techniques, several sufficient conditions ensuring μ-stability, including uniform stability,(global) asymptotical stability, and(global) exponential stability, are derived. It is shown that an unstable delay neural network,especially for the case of unbounded time-varying delays, can be stabilized and has μ-stability via proper impulsive control strategies. 5The determination of atmospheric phosphine in Ny-lesund显示文摘Phoshpine (PH3), a volatile and toxic gas, has been proved to commonly exist in the environment.The determination of gaseous phosphine and its emission fluxes in Ny-lesund is reported in this paper.Results showed that gaseous phosphine exist in Arctic atmosphere commonly and the concentration of phosphine ranged from 16.3-600.2 ng/m3, with the maximum concentration of phosphine in tundra areas and the minimum in surface air of ocean.The concentration of phosphine ranged from 65.79-1259 ng/m3 in colliery atmosphere at different altitudes and the maximum was found in the center of colliery.Emission fluxes of phosphine were different in various Arctic areas.Emission fluxes of phosphine from protected areas, with average concentration of 32.13±5.353 ng m–2 h–1, were higher than from other areas.And the flux of phosphine from ocean was lower.ZHANG Rui WU Min WANG Qiang GENG JinJu YANG XiaoDi 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,16:2
6Ammonia in urban atmosphere can be substantially reduced by vehicle emission control:A case study in Shanghai, China显示文摘To investigate the impact of emission controls on ammonia(NH_(3)) pollution in urban atmosphere, observation on NH_(3)(1 hr interval) was performed in Shanghai before, during and after the 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) event, along with measurements on inorganic ions, organic tracers and stable nitrogen isotope compositions of ammonium in PM_(2.5). NH_(3)during the CIIE period was 6.5±1.0μg/m^(3), which is 41% and 32% lower than that before and after the event, respectively. Such a decrease was largely ascribed to the emission controls in nonagricultural sources, of which contribution for measured NH_(3)in control phase abated by ~20% compared to that during uncontrol period. Molecular compositions of PAHs and hopanes further suggested a dominant role of the reduced vehicle emissions in the urban NH_(3)abatement during the CIIE period. 8Significant coal combustion contribution to water-soluble brown carbon during winter in Xingtai, China: Optical properties and sources显示文摘To understand the characteristics of atmospheric brown carbon(BrC),daily PM2.5 samples in Xingtai,a small city in North China Plain(NCP),during the four seasons of 2018-2019,were collected and analyzed for optical properties and chemical compositions.The light absorption at 365 nm(abs λ=365 nm)displayed a strong seasonal variation with the highest value in winter(29.0±14.3 M/m),which was 3.2∼5.4-fold of that in other seasons.A strong correlation of abs λ=365 nm with benzo(b)fluoranthene(BbF)was only observed in winter,indicating that coal combustion was the major source for BrC in the season due to the enhanced domestic heating.The mass absorbing efficiency of BrC also exhibited a similar seasonal pattern,and was found to correlate linearly with the aerosol pH,suggesting a positive effect of aerosol acidity on the optical properties and formation of BrC in the city.Positive matrix factorization(PMF)analysis further showed that on a yearly basis the major source for BrC was biomass burning,which accounted for 34% of the total BrC,followed by secondary formation(26.7%),coal combustion(21.3%)and fugitive dust(18%).However,the contribution from coal combustionwas remarkably enhanced in winter,accounting for∼40%of the total.Our work revealed that more efforts of“shifting coal to clean energy”are necessary in rural areas and small cities in NCP in order to further mitigate PM2.5 pollution in China.Dapeng Li Can Wu Si Zhang Yali Lei Shaojun Lv Wei Du Shijie Liu Fan Zhang Xiaodi Liu Lang Liu Jingjing Meng Yuesi Wang Jian Gao Gehui Wang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:1

13Acute effects of human protein S administration after traumatic brain injury in mice显示文摘Despite years of effort,no effective acute phase treatment has been discovered for traumatic brain injury.One impediment to successful drug development is entangled secondary injury pathways.Here we show that protein S,a natural multifunctional protein that regulates coagulation,inflammation,and apoptosis,is able to reduce the extent of multiple secondary injuries in traumatic brain injury,and therefore improve prognosis.Mice subjected to controlled cortical impact were treated acutely(10–15 minutes post-injury)with a single dose of either protein S(1 mg/kg)or vehicle phosphate buffered saline via intravenous injection.At 24 hours post-injury,compared to the non-treated group,the protein S treated group showed substantial improvement of edema and fine motor coordination,as well as mitigation of progressive tissue loss.Immunohistochemistry and western blot targeting caspase-3,B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2)along with terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)assay revealed that apoptosis was suppressed in treated animals.Immunohistochemistry targeting CD11 b showed limited leukocyte infiltration in the protein S-treated group.Moreover,protein S treatment increased the ipsilesional expression of aquaporin-4,which may be the underlying mechanism of its function in reducing edema.These results indicate that immediate intravenous protein S treatment after controlled cortical impact is beneficial to traumatic brain injury prognosis.Animal Use Protocols(AUPs)were approved by the University Committee on Animal Resources(UCAR)of University of Rochester Medical Center(approval No.UCAR-2008-102 R)on November 12,2013.Xiaowei Wang Jing Tong Xiaodi Han Xiaoming Qi Jun Zhang Erxi Wu Jason H.Huang 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,11:1
14Combined immersed boundary method and multiple-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann flux solver for numerical simulations of incompressible flows显示文摘A method combining the immersed boundary technique and a multirelaxation-time(MRT) lattice Boltzmann flux solver(LBFS) is presented for numerical simulation of incompressible flows over circular and elliptic cylinders and NACA 0012 Airfoil. The method uses a simple Cartesian mesh to simulate flows past immersed complicated bodies. With the Chapman-Enskog expansion analysis, a transform is performed between the Navier-Stokes and lattice Boltzmann equations(LBEs). The LBFS is used to discretize the macroscopic differential equations with a finite volume method and evaluate the interface fluxes through local reconstruction of the lattice Boltzmann solution.The immersed boundary technique is used to correct the intermediate velocity around the solid boundary to satisfy the no-slip boundary condition. 16Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence——On Human-Computer Competition from the Five-Level Theory of Cognitive Science显示文摘It is generally accepted that the human mind and cognition can be viewed at five levels; nerves, psychology, language, thinking and culture. Artificial intelligence(AI) simulates human intelligence at all five levels of human cognition, however, AI has yet to outperform human intelligence, although it is making progress. Presently artificial intelligence lags far behind human intelligence in higher-order cognition, namely, the cognitive levels of language, thinking and culture. In fact, artificial intelligence and human intelligence fall into very different intelligence categories. Machine learning is no more than a simulation of human cognitive ability and therefore should not be overestimated. There is no need for us to feel scared even panic about it. Put forward by John R. Searle, the'Chinese Room'argument, a famous AI model and standard, is not yet out of date. According to this argument, a digital computer will never acquire human intelligence. 19Predicting community traits along an alpine grassland transect using field imaging spectroscopy显示文摘Assessing plant community traits is important for understanding how terrestrial ecosystems respond and adapt to global climate change.Field hyperspectral remote sensing is effective for quantitatively estimating vegetation properties in most terrestrial ecosystems,although it remains to be tested in areas with dwarf and sparse vegetation,such as the Tibetan Plateau.We measured canopy reflectance in the Tibetan Plateau using a handheld imaging spectrometer and conducted plant community investigations along an alpine grassland transect.We estimated community structural and functional traits,as well as community function based on a field survey and laboratory analysis using 14 spectral vegetation indices(VIs)derived from hyperspectral images.We quantified the contributions of environmental drivers,VIs,and community traits to community function by structural equation modelling(SEM).Univariate linear regression analysis showed that plant community traits are best predicted by the normalized difference vegetation index,enhanced vegetation index,and simple ratio.Structural equation modelling showed that VIs and community traits positively affected community function,whereas environmental drivers and specific leaf area had the opposite effect.Additionally,VIs integrated with environmental drivers were indirectly linked to community function by characterizing the variations in community structural and functional traits.This study demonstrates that community-level spectral reflectance will help scale plant trait information measured at the leaf level to larger-scale ecological processes.Field imaging spectroscopy represents a promising tool to predict the responses of alpine grassland communities to climate change.Feng Zhang Wenjuan Wu Lang Li Xiaodi Liu Guangsheng Zhou Zhenzhu Xu 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,12:0
20Nanoparticles (NPs)-mediated Siglec15 silencing and macrophage repolarization for enhanced cancer immunotherapy显示文摘cell infiltration and proliferation in tumor tissues are the main factors that significantly affect the therapeutic outcomes of cancer immunotherapy.Emerging evidence has shown that interferon-gamma(IFN)could enhance CXCL9 secretion from macrophages to recruit T cells,but Siglec15 expressed on TAMs can attenuate T cell proliferation.Therefore,targeted regulation of macrophage function could be a promising strategy to enhance cancer immunotherapy via concurrently promoting the infiltration and proliferation of T cells in tumor tissues.We herein developed reductionresponsive nanoparticles(NPs)made with poly(disulfide amide)(PDSA)and lipid-poly(ethylene glycol)(lipid-PEG)for systemic delivery of Siglec15 siRNA(siSiglec15)and IFN for enhanced cancer immunotherapy.After intravenous administration,these cargo-loaded could highly accumulate in the tumor tissues and be efficiently internalized by tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs).With the highly concentrated glutathione(GSH)in the cytoplasm to destroy the nanostructure,the loaded IFN and si-Siglec15 could be rapidly released,which could respectively repolarize macrophage phenotype to enhance CXCL9 secretion for T cell infiltration and silence Siglec15 expression to promote T cell proliferation,leading to significant inhibition of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)growth when combining with the immune checkpoint inhibitor.The strategy developed herein could be used as an effective tool to enhance cancer immunotherapy.Xiaodi Liu Qi Zhang Yixia Liang Shiyu Xiong Yan Cai Jincheng Cao Yanni Xu Xiaolin Xu Ye Wu Qiang Lu Xiaoding Xu Baoming Luo 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12:0
