1High-operating-temperature mid-infrared photodetectors via quantum dot gradient homojunction显示文摘Due to thermal carriers generated by a narrow mid-infrared energy gap,cooling is always necessary to achieve ideal photodetection.In quantum dot(QD),the electron thermal generation should be reduced with quantum confinement in all three dimensions.As a result,there would be a great potential to realize high-operating-temperature(HOT)QD mid-IR photodetectors,though not yet achieved.Taking the advantages of colloidal nanocrystals’solution processability and precise doping control by surface dipoles,this work demonstrates a HOT mid-infrared photodetector with a QD gradient homojunction.The detector achieves background-limited performance with D^(*)=2.7×1011 Jones on 4.2μm at 80 K,above 10^(11) Jones until 200 K,above 10^(10 )Jones until 280 K,and 7.6×10^(9) Jones on 3.5μm at 300 K.The external quantum efficiency also achieves more than 77%with responsivity 2.7 A/W at zero bias.The applications such as spectrometers,chemical sensors,and thermal cameras,are also approved,which motivate interest in low-cost,solution-processed and high-performance mid-infrared photodetection beyond epitaxial growth bulk photodetectors.Xiaomeng Xue Menglu Chen Yuning Luo Tianling Qin Xin Tang Qun Hao 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,3:2

4Construction of a high-density mutant population of Chinese cabbage facilitates the genetic dissection of agronomic traits显示文摘Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa ssp.pekinensis)is an economically important vegetable crop throughout the world,especially in Asia.High-quality genome sequences are available for Chinese cabbage,but gene functional studies remain challenging.To promote functional genomic studies of Chinese cabbage,we generated an ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)mutant population of~8000 M_(2) plants using the double haploid inbred line A03 as the parent.The genome of A03 was sequenced and used as a reference for high-throughput functional characterization of gene mutations at the whole-genome level.A total of 300 M_(2) to M_(5) EMS mutants were phenotypically screened and then sequenced,revealing 750629 SNPs and 46272 InDel mutations that cover 98.27%of all predicted genes in the A03 genome.A forward-genetics approach was successfully used to identify two genes with chloroplast-related functions that are responsible for the yellow leaf mutant trait.A reverse-genetics approach was also used to identify associations between mutations in five genes of the glucosinolate biosynthetic pathway and variations in glucosinolate content of the mutant plants.In addition,we built the Chinese cabbage EMS mutation database(CCEMD,www.bioinformaticslab.cn/EMSmutation/home)to increase the usability of this mutant population resource.In summary,we performed large-scale screening of a heading Chinese cabbage EMS mutant collection at the phenotypic and genotypic levels,which will facilitate gene mining of Chinese cabbage and might also be useful for the study of other Brassica crops.Xiaoxue Sun Xing Li Yin Lu Shan Wang Xiaomeng Zhang Kang Zhang Xiangjie Su Mengyang Liu Daling Feng Shuangxia Luo Aixia Gu Yu Fu Xueping Chen Shuxin Xuan Yanhua Wang Donghui Xu Shumin Chen Wei Ma Shuxing Shen Feng Cheng Jianjun Zhao 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,5:1
5Make or Buy in the Presence of Strategic Competition on Substitutable Products显示文摘In this paper,we study make-or-buy decisions with the consideration of retail-level competition,in which a supplier provides substitutable products to two retailers.One incumbent retailer is capable of producing the product in-house and makes the make-or-buy decision,while the rival retailer can only outsource from the supplier.Intuitively,the incumbent will not outsource if the wholesale price is higher than its production cost.However,we illustrate this may not be true when the supplier also supplies the retail rival.In this case,the incumbent may accept a high wholesale price to limit the supplier's incentive to serve the retail rival on particularly favorable terms.Moreover,under certain circumstances,the supplier may charge a wholesale price lower than its production cost to attract orders from the incumbent,which can generate for the supplier and the incumbent a higher total profit than the situation in which the incumbent makes the product in-house.Jianbin Li Yingying Wang Xiaomeng Luo Weihua Zhou 2019Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2019,28,6:1

7Brasenia-inspired hydrogel with sustained and sequential release of BMP and WNT activators for improved bone regeneration显示文摘Although bone morphogenetic protein(BMP) and WNT signaling play pivotal roles in bone development,homeostasis, and regeneration, the applications of proteins to stimulate corresponding signaling pathways showed limited outcomes in the repair and regeneration of bone defects that might be attributed to the reciprocal interventions of these pathways. In order to satisfy the combinational and sequential activation of BMP and WNT pathways, inspired by the heterogeneous hydrogel-liked structures of Brasenia, heterogeneous alginate/chitosan hydrogels were fabricated and spatially loaded with FK506 and BIO to achieve sustained and sequential release of the activators. Alkaline phosphatase staining, alizarin red staining and q RT-PCR results suggested that FK506 and BIO enhanced osteoblastic differentiation in vitro when used separately. Besides, by mixing and matching the activators and the hydrogel layers, a superior releasing mode that a combination of early FK506 release and following BIO release was identified via both in vitro and in vivo explorations for most efficient bone regeneration. 8Performance Comparison of Computational Methods for the Prediction of the Function and Pathogenicity of Non-coding Variants显示文摘Non-coding variants in the human genome significantly influence human traits and complex diseases via their regulation and modification effects.Hence,an increasing number of computational methods are developed to predict the effects of variants in human non-coding sequences.However,it is difficult for inexperienced users to select appropriate computational methods from dozens of available methods.To solve this issue,we assessed 12 performance metrics of 24 methods on four independent non-coding variant benchmark datasets:(1)rare germline variants from clinical relevant sequence variants(ClinVar),(2)rare somatic variants from Catalogue Of Somatic Mutations In Cancer(COSMIC),(3)common regulatory variants from curated expression quantitative trait locus(eQTL)data,and(4)disease-associated common variants from curated genomewide association studies(GWAS).All 24 tested methods performed differently under various conditions,indicating varying strengths and weaknesses under different scenarios.Importantly,the performance of existing methods was acceptable for rare germline variants from ClinVar with the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)of 0.4481–0.8033 and poor for rare somatic variants from COSMIC(AUROC=0.4984–0.7131),common regulatory variants from curated eQTL data(AUROC=0.4837–0.6472),and disease-associated common variants from curated GWAS(AUROC=0.4766–0.5188).We also compared the prediction performance of 24 methods for non-coding de novo mutations in autism spectrum disorder,and found that the combined annotation-dependent depletion(CADD)and context-dependent tolerance score(CDTS)methods showed better performance.Summarily,we assessed the performance of 24 computational methods under diverse scenarios,providing preliminary advice for proper tool selection and guiding the development of new techniques in interpreting non-coding variants.Zheng Wang Guihu Zhao Bin Li Zhenghuan Fang Qian Chen Xiaomeng Wang Tengfei Luo Yijing Wang Qiao Zhou Kuokuo Li Lu Xia Yi Zhang Xun Zhou Hongxu Pan Yuwen Zhao Yige Wang Lin Wang Jifeng Guo Beisha Tang Kun Xia Jinchen Li 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3:0
9Influence of soaking Malus domeri(Bois)Chev.leaves on gut microbiota and metabolites of long-living elderly individuals in Hezhou city,Guangxi,China显示文摘To investigate the effects of drinking the soaking of Malus domeri(Bois)Chev.leaves on gut microbiota and metabolites of long-living elderly individuals in Hezhou city,Guangxi,China.It has been reported that longevity is closely related to metabolism and the gut microbiota.The 16S rRNA sequencing and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS)were used to analysis fecal samples and explore the factors affecting longevity in the region.Interestingly,we discovered,that elderly individuals who had been drinking the soaking of M.domeri(Bois)Chev.leaves for a long time exhibited higher diversity of the gut microbiota than without drinking the soaking,notably.The proportions of Ruminococcaceae and Prevotella were decreased in those who did not drink this soaking.In addition,a total of 106 metabolites were characterized,and the people of long-lived people(>90 years old)and elderly people(<90 years old)who drinking soaking of M.domeri(Bois)Chev.leaves significantly altered the gut microbiota and upregulated levels of haplopine,farnesol,genipic acid,momordicinin,2-hydroxyestrone,hydroxyphenyllactic acid,caffeic acid,sophoraflavanone B,and soyasaponin I.We preliminarily determined that M.domeri(Bois)Chev.leaves consumption may be an important factor affecting longevity in this area.Hui Nie Zhongyang Gao Yanghe Luo Yajuan Wang Feiyang Wu Guangqing Mu Xiaomeng Wu 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,3:0
10Deep Learning for Seasonal Precipitation Prediction over China显示文摘Despite significant progress having been made in recent years,the forecast skill for seasonal precipitation over China remains limited.In this study,a deep-learning-based statistical prediction model for seasonal precipitation over China was developed.The model was trained to learn the distribution of the seasonal precipitation using simultaneous general circulation data.First,it was pre-trained with the hindcasts of several general circulation models(GCMs),and evaluation of the test set suggested that the pre-trained model could basically reproduce the GCM-predicted precipitation,with the anomaly pattern correlation coefficients(PCCs)greater than 0.80.Then,transfer learning was applied by using ECMWF Reanalysis v5(ERA5)data and gridded precipitation observational data over China,to further correct the systemic errors in the model.As a result,using general circulation fields from reanalysis as the input,this hybrid model performed reasonably well in simulating the seasonal precipitation over China,with the PCC reaching 0.71.In addition,the results using the circulation fields predicted by GCMs as the input were also assessed.In general,the proposed model improves the PCC over China by 0.10-0.13,as compared to the raw GCM outputs,for lead times of 1-4 months.This deep learning model has been used at the National Climate Center of China Meteorological Administration for the past two years to provide guidance for summer precipitation prediction over China and has performed extremely well.Weixin JIN Yong LUO Tongwen WU Xiaomeng HUANG Wei XUE Chaoqing YU 2022Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,2:0
11Genetic analysis of the “head top shape” quality trait of Chinese cabbage and its association with rosette leaf variation显示文摘The agricultural and consumer quality of Chinese cabbage is determined by its shape.The shape is defined by the folding of the heading leaves,which defines the head top shape(HTS).The overlapping HTS,in which the heading leaves curve inward and overlap at the top,is the shape preferred by consumers.To understand the genetic regulation of HTS,we generated a large segregating F 2 population from a cross between pak choi and Chinese cabbage,with phenotypes ranging from nonheading to heading with either outward curving or inward curving overlapping heading leaves.HTS was correlated with plant height,outer/rosette leaf length,and petiole length.A high-density genetic map was constructed.Quantitative trait locus(QTL)analysis resulted in the identification of 22 QTLs for leafy head-related traits,which included five HTS QTLs.Bulked segregant analysis(BSA)was used to confirm HTS QTLs and identify candidate genes based on informative single-nucleotide polymorphisms.Interestingly,the HTS QTLs colocalized with QTLs for plant height,outer/rosette leaf,and petiole length,consistent with the observed phenotypic correlations.Combined QTL analysis and BSA laid a foundation for molecular marker-assisted breeding of Chinese cabbage HTS and directions for further research on the genetic regulation of this trait.Xiaoxue Sun Ying Gao Yin Lu Xiaomeng Zhang Shuangxia Luo Xing Li Mengyang Liu Daling Feng Aixia Gu Xueping Chen Shuxin Xuan Yanhua Wang Shuxing Shen Guusje Bonnema Jianjun Zhao 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:0
12Acetylacetone effectively controlled the secondary metabolites of Microcystis aeruginosa under simulated sunlight irradiation显示文摘Inactivation of cyanobacterial cells and simultaneous control of secondary metabolites is of significant necessity for the treatment of cyanobacteria-laden water.Acetylacetone(AcAc)has been reported a specific algicide to inactivate Microcystis aeruginosa(M.aeruginosa)and an effective light activator to degrade pollutants.This study systematically investigated the photodegradation ability of AcAc under xenon(Xe)irradiation on the secondary metabolites of M.aeruginosa,mainly algal organic matter(AOM),especially toxic microcystin-LR(MC-LR).Results showed that AcAc outperformed H_(2)O_(2)in destructing the protein-like substances,humic acid-like matters,aromatic proteins and fulvic-like substances of AOM.For MC-LR(250μg/L),0.05 mmol/L AcAc attained the same degradation efficiency(87.0%)as 0.1mmol/L H_(2)O_(2).The degradation mechanism of Xe/AcAc might involve photo-induced energy/electron transfer and formation of carbon center radicals.Alkaline conditions(pH>9.0)were detrimental to the photoactivity of AcAc,corresponding to the observed degradation rate constant(k_(1)value)of MC-LR drastically decreasing to 0.0013 min^(-1)as solution pH exceeded 9.0.The PO_(4)^(3-)and HCO_(3)^(-)ions had obvious inhibition effects,whereas NO_(3)^(-)slightly improved k_(1)value from 0.0277 min^(-1)to 0.0321 min^(-1).The presence of AOM did not significantly inhibit MC-LR degradation in Xe/AcAc system.In addition,the biological toxicity of MC-LR was greatly reduced after photoreaction.These results demonstrated that AcAc was an alternative algicidal agent to effectively inactivate algal cells and simultaneously control the secondary metabolites after cell lysis.Nevertheless,the concentration and irradiation conditions should be further optimized in practical application.Xiaomeng Wang Yixin Luo Shujuan Zhang Lixiang Zhou 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,1:0

14Toward to agricultural green development by multi-objective zoning and nitrogen nutrient management:a case study in the Baiyangdian Basin,China显示文摘Although China has achieved great advancements toward national food security,the country is still confronted with a range of challenges,including natural resource stress,imbalanced diets and environmental pollution.Optimized management of crop–livestock systems is the key measure to realize agricultural green transformation.However,optimized management of crop–livestock systems that use multi-objective zoning is lacking.This study employed a multi-objective zoning management approach to comprehensively analyze four indicators:ammonia volatilization,nitrogen surplus,soil carrying capacity and ecological red line area.With its significant ecological integrity and a strong emphasis on sustainability,the Baiyangdian Basin serves as a unique and suitable test case for conducting analyses on multi-objective nutrient optimization management,with the aim to facilitate the agricultural green transformation.This study finds that less than 8%of the area in the Baiyangdian Basin meet the acceptable environmental indicator standard,whereas around 50%of the area that had both nitrogen surplus and ammonia volatilization exceeded the threshold.Implementation of unified management,that is,the same management technique across the study areas,could result in an increase of areas meeting environmental indicator thresholds to 21.1%.This project developed a novel multi-indicator partition optimization method,in which distinct measures are tailored for different areas to satisfy multiple environmental indicators.Implementation of this method,could potentially bring more than 50%area below the threshold,and areas with ammonia emissions and nitrogen surplus could be reduced to 15.8%.The multi-indicators partition optimization method represents a more advanced and efficiency-oriented management approach when compared to unified management.This approach could be regarded as the best available option to help China achieve agricultural transformation to improve efficient production and reduce environmental pollution.It is recommended that current policies aimed at nutrient management toward sustainable agricultural development should shift toward the application of multi-indicators partition optimization.Xiaomeng ZHANG Xiangwen FAN Wenqi MA Zhaohai BAI Jiafa LUO Jing YANG Ling LIU Jianjie ZHANG Lin MA 2024Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2024,11,1:0
15Visualizing the nucleoplasmic maturation of human pre-60S ribosomal particles显示文摘Eukaryotic ribosome assembly is a highly orchestrated process that involves over two hundred protein factors.After early assembly events on nascent rRNA in the nucleolus,pre-60S particles undergo continuous maturation steps in the nucleoplasm,and prepare for nuclear export.Here,we report eleven cryo-EM structures of the nuclear pre-60S particles isolated from human cells through epitope-tagged GNL2,at resolutions of 2.8–4.3Å.These high-resolution snapshots provide fine details for several major structural remodeling events at a virtual temporal resolution.Two new human nuclear factors,L10K and C11orf98,were also identified.Comparative structural analyses reveal that many assembly factors act as successive place holders to control the timing of factor association/dissociation events.They display multi-phasic binding properties for different domains and generate complex binding inter-dependencies as a means to guide the rRNA maturation process towards its mature conformation.Overall,our data reveal that nuclear assembly of human pre-60S particles is generally hierarchical with short branch pathways,and a few factors display specific roles as rRNA chaperones by confining rRNA helices locally to facilitate their folding,such as the C-terminal domain of SDAD1.Yunyang Zhang Xiaomeng Liang Sha Luo Yan Chen Yu Li Chengying Ma Ningning Li Ning Gao 2023Cell Research2023,33,11:0
16System Evaluation and Meta Analysis of Total Clinical Effective Rate of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Treating Depression during 2019-2022显示文摘[Objectives]To systematically evaluate the total clinical effective rate of acupuncture treatment of depression,and provide clinical reference for the scheme design and selection of acupuncture treatment of depression.[Methods]By searching CNKI,Wanfang Data,CBM,VIP,Cochrane Library,Cochrane Central,Springer and other databases,randomized controlled experiment(RCT)on acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of depression from January 1,2019 to August 31,2022 was collected,to extract relevant data of total clinical effective rate and conduct methodological quality evaluation.ReviewManager 5.4.1 software was used for Meta analysis.[Results]22 RCTs were included,1602 patients in total.Among them,there were 804 cases in treatment group and 798 cases in control group.Meta analysis results displayed that acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of depression may be better than the control group in improving the total clinical effective rate,and the difference was statistically significant[MD=1.16,95%CI(1.11,1.21)].[Conclusions]Acupuncture and moxibustion can achieve a higher total clinical effective rate in the treatment of depression,which is worthy of clinical application.However,due to fewer studies included in this systematic evaluation,small sample size,and low quality,there was a high possibility of bias.Therefore,the above conclusions needed to be verified by high-quality,large-sample,and multi-center RCTs.Xiaomeng LUO Xiong CHEN Keke MA Chunqi AI 2023Medicinal Plant2023,14,1:0

18Genome-wide development and utilization of Simple Sequence Repeats in Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa L.ssp.pekinensis)显示文摘With the complementation of whole-genome sequencing of Chinese cabbage,it is necessary to develop genome-wide Simple Sequence Repeat(SSR)markers and analyse their characteristics,which will bring a revolution in the molecular marker-assisted breeding of Chinese cabbage.In this study distribution and characteristics of SSR loci in the genome of Chinese cabbage'Chiifu'was analyzed.Finally,a total of 173,892 SSR markers that occurred in 10 chromosomes were identified,and Perfect Repeat Motifs(P type)which is a main form of SSR loci with a mean distance of 1.89 kb/SSR was identified.Among them,mono-,di-,and tri-nucleotide repeat motifs were equally distributed across chromosomes compared with tetra-,penta-,and hexa-nucleotide repeat motifs.The largest proportion of SSR loci consisted of mono-and dinucleotide repeat motifs,which accounted for 93.04%of the total SSR loci.A/T and AT/TA were the most abundant motifs,accounting for 97.61%and 64.05%of the mono-and dinucleotide repeats,respectively.Furthermore,200 SSR markers were used for the amplification of 12 Chinese cabbage germplasm,in which 30 were highly polymorphic.These SSR markers were further used for the association analyses of flowering time of 190 Chinese cabbage accessions.The results revealed that 9 and 10 alleles were associated with bolting and flowering time,respectivley.The results show that development of SSR markers is feasible and useful in marker assisted selection of Chinese cabbage.Ying Gao Na Li Xiaoguang Li Yin Lu Daling Feng Xiaomeng Zhang Aixia Gu Yunjia Ge Javaria Tabusam Mengyang Liu Yanhua Wang Xueping Chen Shuxing Shen Shuangxia Luo Jianjun Zhao 2022Vegetable Research2022,2,1:0
19Stable all-solid-state Li-Te battery with Li_(3)TbBr_(6) superionic conductor显示文摘Rare-earth(RE)halide solid electrolytes(HSEs)have been an emerging research area due to their good electrochemical and mechanical properties for all-solid-state lithium batteries(ASSBs).However,only very limited types of HSEs have been reported with high performance.In this work,tens of grams of RE-HSE Li_(3)TbBr_(6)(LTbB)was synthesized by a vacuum evaporationassisted method.The as-prepared LTbB displays a high ionic conductivity of 1.7 mS·cm^(-1),a wide electrochemical window,and good formability.Accordingly,the assembled solid lithium-tellurium(Li-Te)battery based on the LTbB HSE exhibits excellent cycling stability up to 600 cycles,which is superior to most previous reports.The processes and the chemicals during the discharge/charge of Li-Te batteries have been studied by various in situ and ex situ characterizations.Theoretical calculations have demonstrated the dominant conductivity contributions of the direct[octahedral]-[octahedral]([Oct]-[Oct])pathway for Li ion migrations in the electrolyte.The Tb sites guarantee efficient electron transfer while the Li 2s orbitals are not affected during migration,leading to a low activation barrier.Therefore,this successful fabrication and application of LTbB have offered a highly competitive solution for solid electrolytes in ASSBs,indicating the great potential of RE-based HSEs in energy devices.Zhichao Zeng Xiaomeng Shi Mingzi Sun Hongtu Zhang Wei Luo Yunhui Huang Bolong Huang Yaping Du Chun-Hua Yan 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
20Disentangling land model uncertainty via Matrix-based Ensemble Model Inter-comparison Platform(MEMIP)显示文摘Background:Large uncertainty in modeling land carbon(C)uptake heavily impedes the accurate prediction of the global C budget.Identifying the uncertainty sources among models is crucial for model improvement yet has been difficult due to multiple feedbacks within Earth System Models(ESMs).Here we present a Matrix-based Ensemble Model Inter-comparison Platform(MEMIP)under a unified model traceability framework to evaluate multiple soil organic carbon(SOC)models.Using the MEMIP,we analyzed how the vertically resolved soil biogeochemistry structure influences SOC prediction in two soil organic matter(SOM)models.By comparing the model outputs from the C-only and CN modes,the SOC differences contributed by individual processes and N feedback between vegetation and soil were explicitly disentangled.Results:Results showed that the multi-layer models with a vertically resolved structure predicted significantly higher SOC than the single layer models over the historical simulation(1900–2000).The SOC difference between the multi-layer models was remarkably higher than between the single-layer models.Traceability analysis indicated that over 80%of the SOC increase in the multi-layer models was contributed by the incorporation of depth-related processes,while SOC differences were similarly contributed by the processes and N feedback between models with the same soil depth representation.Conclusions:The output suggested that feedback is a non-negligible contributor to the inter-model difference of SOC prediction,especially between models with similar process representation.Further analysis with TRENDY v7 and more extensive MEMIP outputs illustrated the potential important role of multi-layer structure to enlarge the current ensemble spread and the necessity of more detail model decomposition to fully disentangle inter-model differences.We stressed the importance of analyzing ensemble outputs from the fundamental model structures,and holding a holistic view in understanding the ensemble uncertainty.Cuijuan Liao Yizhao Chen Jingmeng Wang Yishuang Liang Yansong Huang Zhongyi Lin Xingjie Lu Yuanyuan Huang Feng Tao Danica Lombardozzi Almut Arneth Daniel SGoll Atul Jain Stephen Sitch Yanluan Lin Wei Xue Xiaomeng Huang Yiqi Luo 2022Ecological Processes2022,11,1:0
