1Effect of high-voltage thermal breakdown on pore characteristics of coal显示文摘High-voltage thermal breakdown has great potential application in permeability enhancement of coal seam. The characteristics of the breakdown channel, coal element, porosity and microscopic coal petrography of coal under high-voltage electric load were experimentally studied. The coal interior left apparent tracks due to electric current burning with high temperature. The percentage of C, O, Al, Fe, and Si had slightly decreased, while the content of element N increased obviously. Low-pressure nitrogen gas adsorption(LP-N_2GA) and mercury intrusion analysis showed that coal porosity increased. The increases of micropores and mesopores are beneficial to promotion of the ability of gas storage, and the increase of macropores could enhance the gas seepage and migration. The results of scanning electron microscope(SEM) show that there are many exogenous fractures in coal, which is also beneficial to gas seepage and migration. 2Distinct mononuclear diploid cardiac subpopulation with minimal cell-cell communications persists in embryonic and adult mammalian heart显示文摘A small proportion of mononuclear diploid cardiomyocytes(MNDCMs),with regeneration potential,could persist in adult mammalian heart.However,the heterogeneity of MNDCMs and changes during development remains to be illuminated.To this end,12645 cardiac cells were generated from embryonic day 17.5 and postnatal days 2 and 8 mice by single-cell RNA sequencing.Three cardiac developmental paths were identified:two switching to cardiomyocytes(CM)maturation with close CM–fibroblast(FB)communications and one maintaining MNDCM status with least CM–FB communications.Proliferative MNDCMs having interactions with macrophages and non-proliferative MNDCMs(non-pMNDCMs)with minimal cell–cell communications were identified in the third path.The non-pMNDCMs possessed distinct properties:the lowest mitochondrial metabolisms,the highest glycolysis,and high expression of Myl4 and Tnni1.Single-nucleus RNA sequencing and immunohistochemical staining further proved that the Myl4^(+)Tnni1+MNDCMs persisted in embryonic and adult hearts.These MNDCMs were mapped to the heart by integrating the spatial and single-cell transcriptomic data.In conclusion,a novel non-pMNDCM subpopulation with minimal cell–cell communications was unveiled,highlighting the importance of microenvironment contribution to CM fate during maturation.These findings could improve the understanding of MNDCM heterogeneity and cardiac development,thus providing new clues for approaches to effective cardiac regeneration.Miaomiao Zhu Huamin Liang Zhe Zhang Hao Jiang Jingwen Pu Xiaoyi Hang Qian Zhou Jiacheng Xiang Ximiao He 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,5:1

6Determination of phase equilibria in the Ni-Ta-Zr system at 1223 K显示文摘The phase equilibrium relations of the ternary Ni-Ta-Zr system at 1223 K were investigated by means of diffusion triple and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) techniques. Two ternary compounds were found and a series of tie lines and fie triangles have been determined. The maximum solubility of Ta in NiZr2 is about 13.5% (atom fraction). 7Co_(3)O_(4) with ordered pore structure derived from wood vessels for efficient Hg^(0) oxidation显示文摘Catalytic oxidation of Hgo to Hg~O is an efficient way to remove Hg^(0) from coal-fired flue gas.The catalyst with ordered pore structure can lower mass transfer resistance resulting in higher Hg^(0) oxidation efficiency.Therefore,in the present work,wood vessels were used as sacrificial template to obtain Co_(3)O_(4) with ordered pore structure.SEM and BET results show that,when the mass concentrations of Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O was 20%,the obtained catalyst(Co_(3)O_(4) [20%Co(NO_(3))_(2)])possesses better pore structure and higher surface area.It will expose more available surface active sites and lower the mass transfer resistance.Furthermore,XPS results prove that Co_(3)O_(4) [20%Co(NO_(3))_(2)]has the highest ratio of chemisorbed oxygen which plays an important role in Hg^(0) oxidation process.These results lead to a better Hg^(0) oxidation efficiency of Co_(3)O_(4) [20%Co(NO_(3))_(2)],which is about 90%in the temperature range of 200 to 350℃,Furthermore,Co_(3)O_(4) [20%Co(NO_(3))_(2)]has a stable catalytic activity,and its Hg^(0) oxidation efficiency maintains above 90%at 250℃even after 90 h test,A probable reaction mechanism is deduced by the XPS results of the fresh,used and regenerated catalyst of Co_(3)O_(4) [20%Co(NO3)2].Chemisorbed oxygen can react with Hg^(0) forming HgO with the reduction of Co^(3+)to Co^(2)+.And lattice oxygen and gaseous oxygen can supplement the consumption of chemisorbed oxygen to oxidize Co^(2+)to Co^(3+).Xiaopeng Zhang Cheng Gao Ziwei Wang Ximiao Wang Jie Cheng Xinxin Song Xiangkai Han Ning Zhang Junjiang Bao Gaohong He 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,10:0
8Targeting cancer-associated fibroblasts with hydroxyethyl starch nanomedicine boosts cancer therapy显示文摘Cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)play an important role in facilitating the progression of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)by deteriorating the tumor mechanical microenvironment(TMME).Herein,we designed a CAFs-targeting nanomedicine by conjugating doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded hydroxyethyl starch-IR780 nanoparticles(NPs)with Cys-Arg-Glu-Lys-Ala(CREKA)peptide,which had a special affinity for fibronectin overexpressed on CAFs.After systemic administration,the NPs efficiently targeted CAFs and generated hyperthermia upon light irradiation,decreasing CAFs through the combination of chemo-and photothermal-therapies.Thus,a series of changes in TMME were achieved by reducing CAFs,which further disrupted the niche of cancer stem cells(CSCs)to affect their survival.As a result,the tumor growth was significantly inhibited in 4T1 tumors.The strategy of TMME modulation and CSCs elimination through targeting and depleting CAFs provides a novel therapeutic treatment for desmoplastic solid tumors.Chong Wang Huimin Wang Hai Yang Chen Xu Qiang Wang Zheng Li Zhijie Zhang Jiankun Guan Ximiao Yu Xiaoquan Yang Xiangliang Yang Zifu Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0

10Spermidine-induced two-dimensional DNA condensations on mica surfaces:A different pathway from condensations in solution显示文摘With atomic force microscopy (AFM) we systematically studied the DNA condensations on mica surfaces induced by multivalent cation spermidine. The pattern of the DNA condensates is a flat single layer, with a core in the centre and DNA wrapping around it at high density. We assume this to be a two-dimensional condensation of free coiled DNA onto negatively charged mica surfaces by the multivalent cation. The DNA molecules condense on mica surfaces via a pathway different from the formation of toroids, rods or globules in bulk solutions. We give an explanation to why toroid structures are difficult to be observed by AFM, and further discuss the relationship between DNA condensations in solutions and on mica surfaces. 11The Most Redundant Sequences in Human CpG Island Library Are Derived from Mitochondrial Genome显示文摘An altered pattern of epigenetic modifications, such as DNA methylation and histone modification, is critical to many common human diseases, including cancer. Recently, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) was reported to be associated with tumorigenesis through epigenetic regulation of methylation patterns. One of the promising approaches to study DNA methylation and CpG islands (CGIs) is sequencing and analysis of clones derived from the physical library generated by methyl-CpG-binding domain proteins and restriction enzyme MseI. In this study, we observed that the most redundant sequences of 349 clones in a human CGI library were all generated from the human mitochondrial genome. Further analysis indicated that there was a 5,845-bp DNA transfer from mtDNA to chromosome 1, and all the clones should be the products of a 510-bp MseI fragment, which contained a putative CGI of 270 bp. The 510-bp fragment was annotated as part of cytochrome c oxidase subunit II (COXII), and phylogenetic analysis of homologous sequences containing COXII showed three DNA transfer events from mtDNA to nuclear genome, one of which underwent secondary transfer events between different chromosomes.
