3Adsorption separation of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrogen on monoethanol amine modified β-zeolite显示文摘A new type of composite adsorbents was synthesized by incorporating monoethanol amine (MEA) into β-zeolite. The parent and MEA- functionalized β-zeolites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The adsorption behavior of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrogen (N2) on these adsorbents was investigated at 303 K. The results show that the structure of zeolite was well preserved after MEA modification. In comparison with CH4 and N2, CO2 was preferentially adsorbed on the adsorbents investigated. The introduction of MEA significantly improved the selectivity of both CO2/CH4 and CO2/N2, the optimal selectivity of CO2/CH4 can reach 7.70 on 40 wt% of MEA-functionalized β-zeolite (MEA(40)-β) at 1 atm. It is worth noticing that a very high selectivity of CO2/N2 of 25.67 was obtained on MEA(40)-β. Steric effect and chemical adsorbate-adsorbent interaction were responsible for such high adsorption selectivity of CO2. 6Analysis of factors affecting the prognosis of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic factors for transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)for hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Materials and methods:The variables that may affect overall survival(OS),such as age,gender,AFP,Child Pugh classification,body mass index,HBV-DNA,Hbe Ag,tumor number,tumor diameter,BCLC stage,embolization method,ablation therapy,and targeted therapy,were analyzed by single factor and many factor COX regression.In addition,predictive factors of OS were stratified and a Kaplan-Meier survival curve was drawn.Results:Among the 136 patients,the median follow-up time was 14.5 months(range:2–72 months).HCC patients with the tumor diameter<3 cm had the highest survival rate,followed by patients with a tumor diameter of 3–5 cm;the survival rate of patients with the tumor diameter(greater than 5 cm)was the lowest.Among the BCLC stages,stage A patients had the highest survival rate,followed by stage B and stage C patients,which had the lowest survival rate.The survival rate of Child Pugh grade A patients was higher than those with Child Pugh grade B.Compared with patients who did not undergo ablation treatment,the survival rate of patients with combined ablation treatment was relatively high.The survival rate of patients receiving drug-eluting beads transarterial chemoembolization(DEB-TACE)treatment was higher than those receiving conventional transarterial chemoembolization(c TACE)treatment.Additionally,repeated TACE treatment improved the OS rate of patients.These six factors were related to patient prognosis and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Tumor diameter,BCLC stage,TACE repetition,and TACE combined with ablation were independent prognostic factors of OS.Jiangping Cun Yonghui Xu Weidong Li Xingxiang Zhao 2021Journal of Interventional Medicine2021,4,2:7
7Phosphorite generative processes around the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary in South China: An integrated study of Mo and phosphate O isotopic compositions显示文摘Large phosphorite deposits in Central Guizhou,China,were formed around the Precambrian/Cambrian boundary(PC/C),including the Ediacaran(Doushantuo stage)and early Cambrian(Gezhongwu stage).Among them,Gezhongwu phosphorite from Zhijin are enriched in rare earth elements(REE)plus yttrium(REY),reaching 3.503 million tons.Although phosphorites have attracted great attention,the specific sources P and REY remained unclear.To determine the P and REY sources and establish a phosphogenic model of PC/C phosphorite,we present an integrated dataset of Mo and phosphate O isotopes for the first time,along with carbonate C and O isotopes,geology,petrology,and geochemistry.In all samples,d18Op,Y/Ho,and Zr/Hf decreased from the Ediacaran to the early Cambrian,indicating increased terrigenous weathering fluxes while decreased upwelling water input.Furthermore,terrigenous weathering delivery significantly elevated marine REY concentrations in the Cambrian in Zhijin.The Ceanom and d98/95Mo suggest that seawater was oxidized in the later Ediacaran and became entirely oxic in the early Cambrian.The positive feedback between oxygen levels in atmosphere and primary productivity caused progressive oxygenation in ocean-atmosphere system and enable phosphorites to be formed by different mechanisms.Results show that the Lower Doushantuo consist of abiotic intraclasts and exhibited“seawaterlike”REY types,indicating abiological and mechanical reworking phosphogenesis.The Upper Doushantuo and Gezhongwu Formation contained mainly microbial debris and abiogenic intraclasts,and exhibit “hat-shaped”REY plots,suggesting microbially mediated phosphogenesis.Based on this data set,we developed a phosphogenic model illustrating formation of these two phosphorite deposits,wherein the Lower Doushantuo phosphorite formed through the reworking of pre-existing phosphatic sediments in anoxic and abiotic ocean,whereas the Upper Doushantuo and Gezhongwu phosphorite formed via microbial metabolisms in oxic and biotic conditions.Our study has implications on the PC/C phosphorite generative processes,as well as paleoenvironmental conditions.Haiying Yang Jiafei Xiao Yong Xia Zhuojun Xie Qinping Tan Jianbin Xu Shan He Shengwei Wu Xiqiang Liu Xingxiang Gong 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,5:5
8Dynamic blood single-cell immune responses in patients with COVID-19显示文摘The 2019 coronavirus disease(COVID-19)outbreak caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus is an ongoing global health emergency.However,the virus'pathogenesis remains unclear,and there is no cure for the disease.We investigated the dynamic changes of blood immune response in patients with COVID-19 at different stages by using 5'gene expression,T cell receptor(TCR),and B cell receptors(BCR)V(D)J transcriptome analysis at a single-cell resolution.We obtained single-cell mRNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)data of 341,420 peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)and 185,430 donotypic T cells and 28,802 donotypic B cells from 25 samples of 16 patients with COVID-19 for dynamic studies.In addition,we used three control samples.We found expansion of dendritic cells(DCs),CD14+monocytes,and megakaryocytes progenitor cells(MP)/platelets and a reduction of naive CD4+T lymphocytes in patients with COVID-19,along with a significant decrease of CD8+T lymphocytes,and natural killer cells(NKs)in patients in critical condition.The type I interferon(IFN-I),mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),and ferroptosis pathways were activated while the disease was active,and recovered gradually after patient conditions improved.Consistent with this finding,the mRNA level of IFN-I signal-induced gene IFI27 was significantly increased in patients with COVID-19 compared with that of the controls in a validation cohort that included 38 patients and 35 controls.The concentration of interferon-a(IFN-a)in the serum of patients with COVID-19 increased significantly compared with that of the controls in an additional cohort of 215 patients with COVID-19 and 106 controls,further suggesting the important role of the IFN-I pathway in the immune response of COVID-19.TCR and BCR sequences analyses indicated that patients with COVID-19 developed specific immune responses against SARS-CoV-2 antigens.Our study reveals a dynamic landscape of human blood immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection,providing clues for therapeutic potentials in treating COVID-19.Lulin Huang Yi Shi Bo Gong Li Jiang Zhixin Zhang Xiaoqi Liu Jialiang Yang Yongquan He Zhilin Jiang Ling Zhong Juan Tang Chunfang You Qi Jiang Bo Long Tao Zeng Mei Luo Fanwei Zeng Fanxin Zeng Shuqiang Wang Xingxiang Yang Zhenglin Yang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4:4
9Prevalence and clinical significance of pathogenic germline BRCA1/2 mutations in Chinese non-small cell lung cancer patients显示文摘Objective: Germline alterations in the breast cancer susceptibility genes type 1 and 2, BRCA1 and BRCA2, predispose individuals to hereditary cancers, including breast, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic, and stomach cancers.Accumulating evidence suggests inherited genetic susceptibility to lung cancer.The present study aimed to survey the prevalence of pathogenic germline BRCA mutations(gBRCAm) and explore the potential association between gBRCAm and disease onset in Chinese advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients.Methods: A total of 6,220 NSCLC patients were screened using capture-based ultra-deep targeted sequencing to identify patients harboring germline BRCA1/2 mutations.Results: Out of the 6,220 patients screened, 1.03%(64/6,220) of the patients harbored the pathogenic gB RCAm, with BRCA2 mutations being the most predominant mutations(49/64, 76.5%).Patients who developed NSCLC before 50 years of age were more likely to carry gBRCAm(P = 0.036).Among the patients harboring classic lung cancer driver mutations, those with concurrent gBRCAm were significantly younger than those harboring the wild-type gBRCA(P = 0.029).By contrast, the age of patients with or without concurrent gBRCAm was comparable to those of patients without the driver mutations(P = 0.972).In addition, we identified EGFR-mutant patients with concurrent gBRCAm who showed comparable progression-free survival but significantly longer overall survival(P = 0.002) compared to EGFR-mutant patients with wild-type germline BRCA.Conclusions: Overall, our study is the largest survey of the prevalence of pathogenic gBRCAm in advanced Chinese NSCLC patients.Results suggested a lack of association between germline BRCA status and treatment outcome of EGFR-TKI.In addition,results showed a positive correlation between pathogenic gB RCAm and an early onset of NSCLC.Xingsheng Hu Dongyong Yang Yalun Li Li Li Yan Wang Peng Chen Song Xu Xingxiang Pu Wei Zhu Pengbo Deng Junyi Ye Hanhan Zhang Analyn Lizaso Hao Liu Xinru Mao Hai Huang Qian Chu Chengping Hu 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3:4

11FTIR Study of White and Green Broad Beans Based on Curve-fitting显示文摘Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy was used to study two kinds of broad beans with white and green cotyledons respectively.The results show that the infrared spectra of the two kinds of broad beans are similar and mainly made up of the absorption bands of protein,and polysaccharides.The second derivative infrared spectra amplified the differences and revealed that there were some obvious differences in the range of 1 800-700 cm-1and 1 200-700 cm-1.Hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA)were used for the discrimination of the two kinds broad beans based on the second derivative spectral data in the region of 1 611-1 100 cm-1,and yielded 88.9%accuracy.The spectra in the range from 1 700 to 1 600 cm-1were used to perform Fourier self-deconvolution and curve fitting,which obtained nine peaks.The ratios of relative areas of the bands atα-helix,β-sheet,β-turn and the unordered structure of protein in white beans were 67.71%,35.6%,35.6%and 21.09%respectively,while the ratios in green beans were 8.02%,31.59%,37.12%and 23.27%respectively.The results indicate that the secondary structure of protein was different in the two kinds of broad beans.Xiaohua WANG Gang LIU Quanhong OU Xingxiang ZHAO Jianming HAO Xiangping ZHOU 2013Asian Agricultural Research2013,5,12:2
12Thermodynamic Study on Process in Copper Converters(The slag-making stage)显示文摘The so-called Goto’s model was modified by introducing a parameter of the oxygen efficiency from industrial trials, as well as the selected and newly re-assessed thermodynamic data. The application of the model to copper converters in Guixi Smelter has been carried out by the combination of thermodynamic calculations with the mass and heat balance using the plant data obtained in industrial trials for many heats. For the slag-making stage, good agreements have been reached betWeen the calculated and measured temperature, blowing time as well as the contents for main elements in the matte and the slag. Relativel}’’ large deviations for contents of Zn and Pb in the slag may be caused by the complex chemical composition of the real molten slag, which ma}; result in a large difference of γzn. and γPb,adopted with their real values. 13Rice(Oryza sativa L.)seedlings enriched with zinc or manganese:Their impacts on cadmium accumulation and expression of related genes显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)contamination in paddy soils means that the rice produced there may be unsafe for human consumption.A hydroponic study was conducted to enrich rice seedlings with zinc(Zn)or manganese(Mn),and the uptake and transport characteristics of Cd in these Zn-and Mn-rich seedlings were subsequently investigated using a greenhouse pot trial.The results showed that hydroponic cultivation in 10-50μmol L^(-1) Zn(ZnSO_(4)·7 H_(2)O)or50-250μmol L^(-1) Mn(MnSO_(4)·H_(2)O)for 30 d had no significant impact on rice growth,while the accumulation of Zn and Mn was 7.31-18.5 and 25.4-47.7 times higher,respectively,than in the control(no Zn or Mn addition).The accumulation of Cd in the Zn-and Mn-rich rice plants was 26.3%-38.6% and 34.4%-44.5% lower than that in the control,respectively,and the translocation factors of Cd from roots to shoots also decreased by 23.3%-41.3% and 25.3%-37.0%,respectively,after transplanting to Cd-contaminated soils.Furthermore,the relative expression levels of OsIRT1(Oryza sativa iron-regulated transporter 1)were downregulated by 40.1%-59.3% and 16.0%-25.9%,respectively,in the Zn-and Mn-rich seedling roots.This downregulation may indicate a possible mechanism contributing to the reductions in Cd absorption.Field experiments confirmed that the Zn-and Mn-rich seedlings produced brown rice(unpolished rice grains)with significantly decreased concentrations of Cd(34.2%-44.4%).This study provides an innovative method for reducing the food safety risks from rice grown on slightly to moderately Cd-contaminated paddy soils.Gaoxiang HUANG Changfeng DING Yibing MA Yurong WANG Zhigao ZHOU Shun'an ZHENG Xingxiang WANG 2021Pedosphere2021,31,6:2
