3Spherical Packing Superlattices in Self-Assembly of Homogenous Soft Matter:Progresses and Potentials显示文摘The construction of complex superlattices using homogenous soft matter has great potential for the bottom-up fabrication of complex,nanoscale structures.This topic is not only interested in scientific exploring for new concepts of supramolecular crystals with nanometer in sizes,which is about thousand times larger in volumes than those of normal crystals,but also practically important to provide construction principles of metamaterials which are artificially structured materials for controlling and manipulating light,sound,and other physical behaviors.These systems have fast assembly kinetics and convenient processing procedures,making them ideal for large-scale superlattice production.In this perspective,we focus on recent developments in the construction of complex spherical packing superlattices using homogenous soft self-assemblies.We discuss the general mechanism of those formations of supramolecular motifs and provide an overview of the spherical packing superlattices self-assembled by homogenous soft matters based on different volume asymmetry.Additionally,we outline the potentials of utilizing this approach in constructing novel superlattices as well as its future challenges.Yuchu Liu Huanyu Lei Qing-Yun Guo Xianyou Liu Xinghan Li Yuean Wu Weiyi Li Wei Zhang Geng Xin Liu Xiao-Yun Yan Stephen Z.D.Cheng 2023Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2023,41,5:0
4Embryonic and post-embryonic responses to high-elevation hypoxia in a low-elevation lizard显示文摘Low-elevation species can migrate toward higher elevations to survive in a warming world.However,animals’responses to hypoxia when migrating to high elevations have rarely been addressed.To identify the response of lowelevation lizards to high-elevation hypoxia,we collected field body temperatures(Tfb)and operative temperatures(Te)of lizards(Eremias argus)from a low-elevation population(1036 m)and a high-elevation population(2036 m),and then determined adult thermal physiology,embryonic development,and hatchling phenotypes after acclimating low-elevation lizards and incubating their eggs in conditions mimicking the low-elevation oxygen condition(18.5%O2)and high-elevation oxygen(hypoxic)condition(16.5%O2).Our study revealed that Tfb and Te were higher for the low-elevation population compared to the high-elevation population.We also found adults from low elevation acclimated to hypoxia preferred lower body temperatures,but did not show changes in locomotor performance or growth.In addition,hypoxia did not affect embryonic development(hatching time and success)or hatchling phenotypes(body size and locomotor performance).These results suggest that adult lizards from low elevations can respond to hypoxia-induced stress when migrating to high elevations by behaviorally thermoregulating to lower body temperatures in order to sustain normal functions.Similarly,low-elevation embryos can develop normally(with unchanged hatching success and offspring phenotypes)under the high-elevation hypoxic condition.This study highlights that low-elevation populations of a species that inhabits a range of elevations can buffer the impact of high-elevation hypoxic conditions to some degree and thus attain similar fitness to the source population.Xinghan LI Pengfei WU Liang MA Christopher HUEBNER Baojun SUN Shuran LI 2020Integrative Zoology2020,15,4:0
5High-Speed Numeral Filter in Impulse Voltage Measurement显示文摘Since the CPU of embed system has some limitation in operating speed, a new filter was put forward which implemented mountain template convolution by performing rectangle template convolution two times. It can obtain time and frequency localization with computational complexity greatly reduced. This algorithm was applied to lightning waveforms (include chopped waveforms) parameter calculation. It simplifies the computation and the results pretreated by this algorithm are in accord with IEC1083-2 completely. It was applied in embed system successfully. Its capability in frequency restraining was researched. The validity of the algorithm was proved in theory when processing lightning waves. 6A nanosystem of copper(II)-disulfiram for cancer treatment with high efficacy and few side effects显示文摘Developing chemotherapy drugs with high efficacy and few side effects has been a bottleneck problem that requires an efficient solution.The active cancer treatment ingredient disulfiram(DSF),inspired by the copper(II)diethyldithiocarbamate complex(CuET),can be used in a one-pot synthesis method to construct a CuET delivery nanosystem(CuET-ZIFCu@HA).Due to the high biocompatibility,targeting of CD44 overexpressed cancer cells,and acid response of zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)materials of hyaluronic acid(HA),we realized that CuET-ZIFCu@HA could become an effective and highly selective cancer treatment.Both in vivo and in vitro experiments have demonstrated that CuET-ZIFCu@HA has robust anti-tumor properties without evident side effects.This research provided a promising strategy for DSF nanosystems that involves simple preparation and high efficacy,both of which are key to reusing DSF in cancer treatment.Liping ZHAO Xiaoxia WANG Mingxia JIANG Xinghan WU Mogen ZHANG Xiuwen GUAN Jinlong MA Weifen ZHANG 2021Frontiers of Materials Science2021,15,4:0
7Increased mtDNA mutation frequency in oocytes causes epigenetic alterations and embryonic defects显示文摘Mitochondria are essential for female reproductive processes,yet the function of mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)mutation in oocytes remains elusive.By employing an mtDNA mutator(Polgm)mouse model,we found the fetal growth retardation and placental dysfunction in post-implantation embryos derived from Polgm oocytes.Remarkably,Polgm oocytes displayed the global loss of DNA methylation;following fertilization,zygotic genome experienced insufficient demethylation,along with dysregulation of gene expression.Spindle–chromosome exchange experiment revealed that cytoplasmic factors in Polgm oocytes are responsible for such a deficient epigenetic remodeling.Moreover,metabolomic profiling identified a significant reduction in the α-ketoglutarate(αKG)level in oocytes from Polgm mice.Importantly,αKG supplement restored both DNA methylation state and transcriptional activity in Polgm embryos,consequently preventing the developmental defects.Our findings uncover the important role of oocyte mtDNA mutation in controlling epigenetic reprogramming and gene expression during embryogenesis.αKG deserves further evaluation as a potential drug for treating mitochondrial dysfunction-related fertility decline.Longsen Han Yujia Chen Ling Li Chao Ren Haichao Wang Xinghan Wu Juan Ge Wenjie Shu Minjian Chen Qiang Wang 2022National Science Review2022,9,10:0
