1Physical sensors for skin-inspired electronics显示文摘Skin,the largest organ in the human body,is sensitive to external stimuli.In recent years,an increasing number of skin-inspired electronics,including wearable electronics,implantable electronics,and electronic skin,have been developed because of their broad applications in healthcare and robotics.Physical sensors are one of the key building blocks of skin-inspired electronics.Typical physical sensors include mechanical sensors,temperature sensors,humidity sensors,electrophysiological sensors,and so on.In this review,we systematically review the latest advances of skin-inspired mechanical sensors,temperature sensors,and humidity sensors.The working mechanisms,key materials,device structures,and performance of various physical sensors are summarized and discussed in detail.Their applications in health monitoring,human disease diagnosis and treatment,and intelligent robots are reviewed.In addition,several novel properties of skin-inspired physical sensors such as versatility,self-healability,and implantability are introduced.Finally,the existing challenges and future perspectives of physical sensors for practical applications are discussed and proposed.Shuo Li Yong Zhang Yiliang Wang Kailun Xia Zhe Yin Huimin Wang Mingchao Zhang Xiaoping Liang Haojie Lu Mengjia Zhu Haomin Wang Xinyi Shen Yingying Zhang 2020InfoMat2020,2,1:5
2Changes in Global Cloud Cover Based on Remote Sensing Data from 2003 to 2012显示文摘As is well known,clouds impact the radiative budget,climate change,hydrological processes,and the global carbon,nitrogen and sulfur cycles.To understand the wide-ranging effects of clouds,it is necessary to assess changes in cloud cover at high spatial and temporal resolution.In this study,we calculate global cloud cover during the day and at night using cloud products estimated from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)data.Results indicate that the global mean cloud cover from 2003 to 2012 was 66%.Moreover,global cloud cover increased over this recent decade.Specifically,cloud cover over land areas(especially North America,Antarctica,and Europe)decreased(slope=–0.001,R^2=0.5254),whereas cloud cover over ocean areas(especially the Indian and Pacific Oceans)increased(slope=0.0011,R^2=0.4955).Cloud cover is relatively high between the latitudes of 36°S and 68°S compared to other regions,and cloud cover is lowest over Oceania and Antarctica.The highest rates of increase occurred over Southeast Asia and Oceania,whereas the highest rates of decrease occurred over Antarctica and North America.The global distribution of cloud cover regulates global temperature change,and the trends of these two variables over the 10-year period examined in this study(2003–2012)oppose one another in some regions.These findings are very important for studies of global climate change.MAO Kebiao YUAN Zijin ZUO Zhiyuan XU Tongren SHEN Xinyi GAO Chunyu 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,2:5
3The development of a sensitive fluorescent protein-based transcript reporter for high throughput screening of negative modulators of lncRNAs显示文摘While the human genome is pervasively transcribed,<2%of the human genome is transcribed into protein-coding mRNAs,leaving most of the transcripts as noncoding RNAs,such as microRNAs and long-noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs),which are critical components of epigenetic regulation.lncRNAs are emerging as critical regulators of gene expression and genomic stability.However,it remains largely unknown about how lncRNAs are regulated.Here,we develop a highly sensitive and dynamic reporter that allows us to identify and/or monitor negative modulators of lncRNA transcript levels in a high throughput fashion.Specifically,we engineer a fluorescent fusion protein by fusing three copies of the PEST destruction domain of mouse ornithine decarboxylase(MODC)to the C-terminal end of the codon-optimized bilirubin-inducible fluorescent protein,designated as dBiFP,and show that the dBiFP protein is highly destabilized,compared with the commonly-used eGFP protein.We further demonstrate that the dBiFP signal is effectively down-regulated when the dBiFP and mouse lncRNA H19 chimeric transcript is silenced by mouse H19-specific siRNAs.Therefore,our results strongly suggest that the dBiFP fusion protein may serve as a sensitive and dynamic transcript reporter to monitor the inhibition of lncRNAs by microRNAs,synthetic regulatory RNA molecules,RNA binding proteins,and/or small molecule inhibitors so that novel and efficacious inhibitors targeting the epigenetic circuit can be discovered to treat human diseases such as cancer and other chronic disorders.Zongyue Zeng Bo Huang Shifeng Huang Ruyi Zhang Shujuan Yan Xinyi Yu Yi Shu Chen Zhao Jiayan Lei Wenwen Zhang Chao Yang Ke Wu Ying Wu Liping An Xiaojuan Ji Cheng Gong Chengfu Yuan Linghuan Zhang Wei Liu Yixiao Feng Bo Zhang Zhengyu Dai Yi Shen Xi Wang Wenping Luo Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Lan Zhou Russell R.Reid Tong-Chuan He Xingye Wu 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,1:4
4Surface Oxygen Injection in Tin Disulfide Nanosheets for Efficient CO_(2) Electroreduction to Formate and Syngas显示文摘Surface chemistry modification represents a promising strategy to tailor the adsorption and activation of reaction intermediates for enhancing activity.Herein,we designed a surface oxygen-injection strategy to tune the electronic structure of SnS_(2) nanosheets,which showed effectively enhanced electrocatalytic activity and selectivity of CO_(2) reduction to formate and syngas(CO and H_(2)).The oxygen-injection SnS_(2) nanosheets exhibit a remarkable Faradaic efficiency of 91.6%for carbonaceous products with a current density of 24.1 mA cm^(−2) at−0.9 V vs RHE,including 83.2%for formate production and 16.5%for syngas with the CO/H_(2) ratio of 1:1.By operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy,we unravel the in situ surface oxygen doping into the matrix during reaction,thereby optimizing the Sn local electronic states.Operando synchrotron radiation infrared spectroscopy along with theoretical calculations further reveals that the surface oxygen doping facilitated the CO_(2) activation and enhanced the affinity for HCOO*species.This result demonstrates the potential strategy of surface oxygen injection for the rational design of advanced catalysts for CO_(2) electroreduction.Tao Chen Tong Liu Tao Ding Beibei Pang Lan Wang Xiaokang Liu Xinyi Shen Sicong Wang Dan Wu Dong Liu Linlin Cao Qiquan Luo Wei Zhang Wenkun Zhu Tao Yao 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,11:3
5Retrieval of Land-surface Temperature from AMSR2 Data Using a Deep Dynamic Learning Neural Network显示文摘It is more difficult to retrieve land surface temperature(LST) from passive microwave remote sensing data than from thermal remote sensing data, because the emissivities in the passive microwave band can change more easily than those in the thermal infrared band. Thus, it is very difficult to build a stable relationship. Passive microwave band emissivities are greatly influenced by the soil moisture, which varies with time. This makes it difficult to develop a general physical algorithm. This paper proposes a method to utilize multiple-satellite, sensors and resolution coupled with a deep dynamic learning neural network to retrieve the land surface temperature from images acquired by the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2(AMSR2), a sensor that is similar to the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer Earth Observing System(AMSR-E). The AMSR-E and MODIS sensors are located aboard the Aqua satellite. The MODIS LST product is used as the ground truth data to overcome the difficulties in obtaining large scale land surface temperature data. The mean and standard deviation of the retrieval error are approximately 1.4° and 1.9° when five frequencies(ten channels, 10.7, 18.7, 23.8, 36.5, 89 V/H GHz) are used. This method can effectively eliminate the influences of the soil moisture, roughness, atmosphere and various other factors. An analysis of the application of this method to the retrieval of land surface temperature from AMSR2 data indicates that the method is feasible. 6Application of Modified Progressive Hedging for Stochastic Unit Commitment in Electricity-Gas Coupled Systems显示文摘The increasing number of gas-fired units has significantly intensified the coupling between electric and gas power networks.Traditionally,nonlinearity and nonconvexity in gas flow equations,together with renewable-induced stochasticity,resulted in a computationally expensive model for unit commitment in electricity-gas coupled integrated energy systems(IES).To accelerate stochastic day-ahead scheduling,we applied and modified Progressive Hedging(PH),a heuristic approach that can be computed in parallel to yield scenario-independent unit commitment.Through early termination and enumeration techniques,the modified PH algorithm saves considerable com,putational time for certain generation cost settings or when the scale of the IES is large.Moreover,an adapted second-order cone relaxation(SOCR)is utilized to tackle the nonconvex gas flow equation.Case studies were performed on the IEEE 24.bus system/Belgium 20-node gas system and the IEEE 118-bus system/Belgium 20-node gas system.The computational efficiency when employing PH is 188 times that of commercial software,and the algorithm even outperforms Benders Decomposition.At the same time,the gap between the PH algorithm and the benchmark is less than 0.01% in both IES systems,which proves that the solutions produced by PH reach acceptable optimality in this stochastic UC problem.Haizhou Liu Xinwei Shen Qinglai Guo Hongbin Sun Mohammad Shahidehpour Wenzhi Zhao Xinyi Zhao 2021CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,4:3
7A Neural Network Method for Monitoring Snowstorm: A Case Study in Southern China显示文摘It has been observed that low temperature, rainfall, snowfall, frost have never occurred over the past 50 years in the southern China, and weather in this area is very complex, so the monitoring equipments are few. Optical and thermal infrared remote sensing is influenced much by clouds, so the passive microwave Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-Earth Observing System(AMSR-E) data are the best choice to monitor and analyze the development of disaster. In order to improve estimation accuracy, the dynamic learning neural network was used to retrieve snow depth. The difference of brightness temperatures of TB18.7V and TB36.5V, TB18.7H and TB36.5H, TB23.8V and TB89 V, TB23.8H and TB89 H are made as four main input nodes and the snow depth is the only one output node of neural network. The mean and the standard deviation of retrieval errors are about 4.8 cm and 6.7 cm relative to the test data of ground measurements. 8Bioaugmentation and quorum sensing disruption as solutions to increase nitrate removal in sequencing batch reactors treating nitrate-rich wastewater显示文摘Bioaugmentation of denitrifying bacteria can serve as a promising technique to improve nutrient removal during wastewater treatment. While denitrification inhibition by bacterial quorum sensing(QS) in Pseudomonas aeruginosa has been indicated, the application of bacterial QS disruption to improve nitrate removal from wastewater has not been investigated. In this study, the effect of bioaugmentation of P. aeruginosa SD-1 on nitrate removal in sequencing batch reactors that treat nitrate rich wastewater was assessed. Additionally, the potential of a quorum sensing inhibitor(QSI) to improve denitrification following bacterial bioaugmentation was evaluated. Curcumin, a natural plant extract, was used as a QSI. The chemical oxygen demand(COD) and initial nitrate concentration of the influent were 700 ±20 mg/L and 200 ±10 mg/L respectively, and their respective concentrations in the effluent were 56.9 ±3.2 mg/L and 9.0 ±3.2 mg/L. Thus, the results revealed that bioaugmentation of P. aeruginosa SD-1 resulted in an increased nitrate removal to 82% ±1%. Further, nitrate was almost completely removed following the addition of the QSI, and activities of nitrate reductase and nitrite reductase increased by 88% ±2% and 74% ±2% respectively. The nitrogen mass balance indicated that aerobic denitrification was employed as the main pathway for nitrogen removal in the reactors. 9Lateral epitaxial growth of two-dimensional heterostructure linked by gold adatoms显示文摘Lateral two-dimensional(2D)heterostructures have great potential for device engineering at the atomistic scale.Their production is hindered by difficulties in obtaining atomically sharp interface free from intermixture.Here we report the continuous construction of a lateral heterostructure using blue phosphorene and tetrafluoro-tetracyanoquinodimethane(F_(4)TCNQ)as the building blocks.The lateral heterostructure is achieved by linking the semiconducting F_(4)TCNQ-Au metal organic framework and the metallic blue phosphorene-Au network via Au adatoms.The structural and electronic properties of the heterostructure have been investigated by means of scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy(STM/S),complemented by density functional theory(DFT)calculations,demonstrating a structurally and electrically abrupt interface.Our approach offers the possibility of high flexibility and control that can be extended to other metal-organic species and 2D materials,establishing a foundation for the development of atomically thin in-plane superlattice and devices.Nan Si Tao Shen Xinyi Liu Dechun Zhou Qingmin Ji Wei Liu Shuang Li Tianchao Niu 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:2
10Microvascular endothelial cells derived from spinal cord promote spinal cord injury repair显示文摘Neural regeneration after spinal cord injury (SCI) closely relates to the microvascular endothelial cell (MEC)- mediated neurovascular unit formation. However, the effects of central nerve system-derived MECs on neovascularization and neurogenesis, and potential signaling involved therein, are unclear. Here, we established a primary spinal cord-derived MECs (SCMECs) isolation with high cell yield and purity to describe the differences with brain-derived MECs (BMECs) and their therapeutic effects on SCI. Transcriptomics and proteomics revealed differentially expressed genes and proteins in SCMECs were involved in angiogenesis, immunity, metabolism, and cell adhesion molecular signaling was the only signaling pathway enriched of top 10 in differentially expressed genes and proteins KEGG analysis. SCMECs and BMECs could be induced angiogenesis by different stiffness stimulation of PEG hydrogels with elastic modulus 50-1650 Pa for SCMECs and 50-300 Pa for BMECs, respectively. Moreover, SCMECs and BMECs promoted spinal cord or brain-derived NSC (SNSC/BNSC) proliferation, migration, and differentiation at different levels. At certain dose, SCMECs in combination with the NeuroRegen scaffold, showed higher effectiveness in the promotion of vascular reconstruction. The potential underlying mechanism of this phenomenon may through VEGF/AKT/eNOS- signaling pathway, and consequently accelerated neuronal regeneration and functional recovery of SCI rats compared to BMECs. 12Transcriptomic analysis of interstockinduced dwarfism in Sweet Persimmon(Diospyros kaki Thunb.)显示文摘Growth monitoring indicated that the height of‘Kanshu’plants with‘Nantong-xiaofangshi’as an interstock was significantly shorter than that of‘Kanshu’plants with no interstock.A transcriptome analysis of the two graft combinations(‘Kanshu’/Diospyros lotus and‘Kanshu’/‘Nantong-xiaofangshi’/Diospyros lotus)was conducted to explore the dwarfing genes related to the use of the‘Nantong-xiaofangshi’interstock.Hormone levels and water conductance were also measured in these two graft combinations.The results indicated that the levels of both IAA and GA were lower in‘Kanshu’that had been grafted onto the‘Nantong-xiaofangshi’interstock than in‘Kanshu’with no interstock;additionally,the water conductance was lower in grafts with interstocks than in grafts without interstocks.The expression of AUX/IAA and auxin-responsive GH3 genes was enhanced in scions grafted on the interstock and was negatively correlated with the IAA content and growth of scions.The expression of GA2ox,DELLA,and SPINDLY genes were also upregulated and associated with a decrease in the level of GA in scions grafted on the interstock.Since one of the GA2ox unigenes was annotated as DkGA2ox1 in Diospyros kaki,but was not functionally validated,a functional analysis was conducted in transgenic tobacco.Overexpression of DkGA2ox1 in transgenic plants resulted in a dwarf phenotype that could be recovered by the exogenous application of GA3.We conclude that the‘Nantong-xiaofangshi’interstock affects the water conductance and expression of genes related to the metabolism and transduction of IAA and GA in the grafted scion and thus regulates phytohormone levels,producing dwarfing.Yanying Shen Weibing Zhuang Xutong Tu Zhihong Gao Aisheng Xiong Xinyi Yu Xuehan Li Feihong Li Shenchun Qu 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:1

15A'messenger zone hypothesis'based on the visual three-dimensional spatial distribution of motoneurons innervating deep limb muscles显示文摘Coordinated contraction of skeletal muscles relies on selective connections between the muscles and multiple classes of the spinal motoneuro ns.Howeve r,current research on the spatial location of the spinal motoneurons innervating differe nt muscles is limited.In this study,we investigated the spatial distribution and relative position of different motoneurons that control the deep muscles of the mouse hindlimbs,which were innervated by the obturator nerve,femoral nerve,inferior gluteal nerve,deep pe roneal nerve,and tibial nerve.Locations were visualized by combining a multiplex retrograde tracking technique compatible with three-dimensional imaging of solvent-cleared o rgans(3DISCO)and 3-D imaging technology based on lightsheet fluorescence microscopy(LSFM).Additionally,we propose the hypothesis that'messenger zones'exist as interlaced areas between the motoneuron pools that dominate the synergistic or antagonist muscle groups.We hypothesize that these interlaced neurons may participate in muscle coordination as messenger neurons.Analysis revealed the precise mutual positional relationships among the many motoneurons that innervate different deep muscles of the mouse.Not only do these findings update and supplement our knowledge regarding the overall spatial layout of spinal motoneurons that control mouse limb muscles,but they also provide insights into the mechanisms through which muscle activity is coordinated and the architecture of motor circuits.Chen Huang Shen Wang Jin Deng Xinyi Gu Shuhang Guo Xiaofeng Yin 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,7:0

17The study of estimation method of broadband emissivity from EOS/MODIS data显示文摘The broadband emissivity is an important parameter for estimating the energy balance of the Earth.This study focuses on estimating the window(8-12 |xm) emissivity from the MODIS(moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer) data,and two methods are built.The regression method obtains the broadband emissivity from MOD11B1 5KM product,whose coefficient is developed by using 128 spectra,and the standard deviation of error is about 0.0118 and the mean error is about0.0084.Although the estimation accuracy is very high while the broadband emissivity is estimated from the emissivity of bands 29,31 and 32 obtained from MOD11B1 5KM product,the standard deviations of errors of single emissivity in bands 29,31,32 are about 0.009 for MOD11B1_5KM product,so the total error is about 0.02 and resolution is about 5km×5km.A combined radiative transfer model with dynamic learning neural network method is used to estimate the broadband emissivity from MODIS 1B data.The standard deviation of error is about 0.016,the mean error is about0.01,and the resolution is about 1km ×1km.The validation and application analysis indicates that the regression is simpler and more practical,and estimation accuracy of the dynamic learning neural network method is higher.Considering the needs for accuracy and practicalities in application,one of them can be chosen to estimate the broadband emissivity from MODIS data.毛克彪 Ma Ying Shen Xinyi Sun Zhiwen He Tianjue Xia Lang Xu Tongren 2014High Technology Letters2014,20,1:0
18Design of High Performance MXene/Oxide Structure Memristors for Image Recognition Applications显示文摘Recent popularity to realize image recognition by memristor-based neural network hardware systems has been witnessed owing to their similarities to neurons and synapses.However,the stochastic formation of conductive filaments inside the oxide memristor devices inevitably makes them face some drawbacks,represented by relatively higher power consumption and severer resistance switching variability.In this work,we design and fabricate the Ag/MXene(Ti_(3)C_(2))/SiO_(2)/Pt memristor after considering the stronger interactions between Ti_(3)C_(2) and Ag ions,which lead to a Ti_(3)C_(2)/SiO_(2) structure memristor owning to much lower“SET”voltage and smaller resistance switching fluctuation than pure SiO_(2) memristor.Furthermore,the conductances of the Ag/Ti_(3)C_(2)/SiO_(2)/Pt memristor have been modulated by changing the number of the applied programming pulse,and two typical biological behaviors,i.e.,long-term potentiation and long-term depression,have been achieved.Finally,device conductances are introduced into an integrated device-to-algorithm framework as synaptic weights,by which the MNIST hand-written digits are recognized with accuracy up to 77.39%.Xiaojuan LIAN Yuelin SHI Xinyi SHEN Xiang WAN Zhikuang CAI Lei WANG 2024Chinese Journal of Electronics2024,33,2:0
19Screening HLA-A-restricted T cell epitopes of SARS-CoV-2 and the induction of CD8^(+)T cell responses in HLA-A transgenic mice显示文摘Since severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)-specific T cells have been found to play essential roles in host immune protection and pathology in patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),this study focused on the functional validation of T cell epitopes and the development of vaccines that induce specific T cell responses.A total of 120 CD8^(+)T cell epitopes from the E,M,N,S,and RdRp proteins were functionally validated.Among these,110,15,6,14,and 12 epitopes were highly homologous with SARS-CoV,OC43,NL63,HKU1,and 229E,respectively;in addition,four epitopes from the S protein displayed one amino acid that was distinct from the current SARS-CoV-2 variants.Then,31 epitopes restricted by the HLA-A2 molecule were used to generate peptide cocktail vaccines in combination with Poly(I:C),R848 or poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)nanoparticles,and these vaccines elicited robust and specific CD8^(+)T cell responses in HLA-A2/DR1 transgenic mice as well as wild-type mice.In contrast to previous research,this study established a modified DC-peptide-PBL cell coculture system using healthy donor PBMCs to validate the in silico predicted epitopes,provided an epitope library restricted by nine of the most prevalent HLA-A allotypes covering broad Asian populations,and identified the HLA-A restrictions of these validated epitopes using competitive peptide binding experiments with HMy2.CIR cell lines expressing the indicated HLA-A allotype,which initially confirmed the in vivo feasibility of 9-or 10-mer peptide cocktail vaccines against SARS-CoV-2.These data will facilitate the design and development of vaccines that induce antiviral CD8^(+)T cell responses in COVID-19 patients.Xiaoxiao Jin Yan Ding Shihui Sun Xinyi Wang Zining Zhou Xiaotao Liu Miaomiao Li Xian Chen Anran Shen Yandan Wu Bicheng Liu Jianqiong Zhang Jian Li Yi Yang Haibo Qiu Chuanlai Shen Yuxian He Guangyu Zhao 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,12:0
20SYK-mediated epithelial cell state is associated with response to c-Met inhibitors in c-Met-overexpressing lung cancer显示文摘Genomic MET amplification and exon 14 skipping are currently clinically recognized biomarkers for stratifying subsets of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients according to the predicted response to c-Met inhibitors(c-Metis),yet the overall clinical benefit of this strategy is quite limited.Notably,c-Met protein overexpression,which occurs in approximately 20–25%of NSCLC patients,has not yet been clearly defined as a clinically useful biomarker.An optimized strategy for accurately classifying patients with c-Met overexpression for decision-making regarding c-Meti treatment is lacking.Herein,we found that SYK regulates the plasticity of cells in an epithelial state and is associated with their sensitivity to c-Metis both in vitro and in vivo in PDX models with c-Met overexpression regardless of MET gene status.Furthermore,TGF-β1 treatment resulted in SYK transcriptional downregulation,increased Sp1-mediated transcription of FRA1,and restored the mesenchymal state,which conferred resistance to c-Metis.Clinically,a subpopulation of NSCLC patients with c-Met overexpression coupled with SYK overexpression exhibited a high response rate of 73.3%and longer progression-free survival with c-Meti treatment than other patients.SYK negativity coupled with TGF-β1 positivity conferred de novo and acquired resistance.In summary,SYK regulates cell plasticity toward a therapy-sensitive epithelial cell state.Furthermore,our findings showed that SYK overexpression can aid in precisely stratifying NSCLC patients with c-Met overexpression regardless of MET alterations and expand the population predicted to benefit from c-Met-targeted therapy.Ji Zhou Xu-Chao Zhang Shan Xue Mengdi Dai Yueliang Wang Xia Peng Jianjiao Chen Xinyi Wang Yanyan Shen Hui Qin Bi Chen Yu Zheng Xiwen Gao Zuoquan Xie Jian Ding Handong Jiang Yi-Long Wu Meiyu Geng Jing Ai 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,6:0
