2Experimental study on scale inhibition performance of a green scale inhibitor polyaspartic acid显示文摘Static and dynamic experiments were carried out to validate scale inhibition performance of a green scale inhibitor-polyaspartic acid (PASP). From the static experiment, it was shown that below 60℃, polyaspartic acid is very effective in scale inhibition, with the scale inhibition ratio exceeding 90% with only 3 mg/L PASP for the 600 mg/L hardness solution. For a higher hardness solution of 800 mg/L, the scale inhibition ratio can also reach 90% with 6 and 12 mg/L PASP at 30 and 60℃respectively. The SEM photographs of CaCO3 crystals indicate that the crystal structure transforms from a compact stick-shape to a loose shape so that the scale can be washed away easily instead of being deposited on the heat transfer surface. 3Relationship between petroleum hydrocarbon and plankton in a mesocosm experiment显示文摘A mesocosm experiment was carried out from May 26 to June 1, 1998 at the location of 30’52’N, 122’36’E, the Changjiang Estuary, in order to measure the influence of petroleum hydrocar- bon to the ecosystem, furthermore, to estimate the environmental capacity. In the experiment, it is found that the petroleum hydrocarbon can, in some degree, enhance the growth of diatom, but inhibit the growth of dinoflagellate. In general, the petroleum hydrocarbon can inhibit the growth of both Phytoplankton and zooplankton, and can the inhibit the growth of total plankton (including phytoplankton and zooplankton) as well. A kinetic model was presented to estimate the uptake/release rate constants of petroleum hydrocarbon by plankton, and thereafter, the uptake and release rate constants (k1, k2), bioconcentration factor (BCF) as well as the petroleum bydrocarbon influenced influenced uptake and release rate constants of nutrients by phytoplankton (kup, krel) were obtained. The results imply that the bioconcentration of petroleum hydrocarbon by plankton is fairly large and petroleum hydrocarbon caused no significant influence on the uptake of N- NO3, but significant influence on that of P -PO4. 5An estimation of nutrient fluxes to the East China Sea continental shelf from the Taiwan Strait and Kuroshio subsurface waters in summer显示文摘According to historical mean ocean current data through the field observations of the Taiwan Ocean Research Institute during 1991–2005 and survey data of nutrients on the continental shelf of the East China Sea(ECS) in the summer of 2006, nutrient fluxes from the Taiwan Strait and Kuroshio subsurface waters are estimated using a grid interpolation method, which both are the sources of the Taiwan Warm Current. The nutrient fluxes of the two water masses are also compared. The results show that phosphate(PO4-P), silicate(SiO3-Si) and nitrate(NO3-N) fluxes to the ECS continental shelf from the Kuroshio upwelling water are slightly higher than those from the Taiwan Strait water in the summer of 2006. In contrast, owing to its lower velocity, the nutrient flux density(i.e., nutrient fluxes divided by the area of the specific section) of the Kuroshio subsurface water is lower than that of the Taiwan Strait water. 8Nutrient composition and distributions in coastal waters impacted by the Changjiang plume显示文摘Four cruises were conducted during 2002-2003 in the Changjiang Estuary and adjacent coastal areas. The data presented show a clear coast to open sea gradient in nutrients related to the river inputs. Maximum values of chlorophyll a were typically observed at intermediate salinities at surface water and coincided with non-conservative decreases in nutrients along the salinity gradient,indicating that removal of nutrients was related to phytoplankton uptake. The seasonal variations of nutrient concentrations were just opposite to those of chlorophyll a,indicating that the seasonal variations of nutrients were mainly controlled by phytoplankton uptake,whereas riverine inputs merely weakened or balanced its extent. During the estuarine mixing,phosphate demonstrated some remobilization during all the four cruises; whereas both conservative and non-conservative behaviors for dissolved inorganic nitrogen and silicate were observed in the study area,indicating that both biotic and abiotic events may affect their behaviors during the estuarine mixing. Under the influence of freshwater inputs with high value of ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus,the estuarine and coastal waters impacted by the Changjiang plume were high (>30) in ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus,but rates of primary production were apparently not constrained by any kind of nutrient elements. 9Near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy reveals wide variation in major components of sesame seeds from Africa and Asia显示文摘Sesame is an important oilseed crop in Africa and Asia, owing to its high nutritional quality seed and market value. Variation in sesame seed components including oil, oleic acid,linoleic acid, and protein was investigated by near-infrared reflectance spectrometry in 139 samples collected from different countries. Oil and protein contents were between 40.8%and 60.3%(mean 53.0%) and 15.5% to 25.5%(mean 20.4%), respectively. Linoleic acid,ranging from 31.8% to 52.4%(mean 46%) was more abundant than oleic acid(31.8%–50.6%,mean 38.1%). Light-seeded samples displayed higher nutritional quality, as they were richer in oil, protein, and linoleic acid than dark seeds. Samples from Africa had higher oil and linoleic acid contents, while Asian samples had higher oleic content. The analysis revealed West African sesame cultivars containing especially high levels of seed components, which may command high market values. Two clusters of sesame samples grouped by seed composition were obtained, including one cluster with high oil and oleic acid content and the other with high protein and linoleic acid content. 10Seasonal Changes in Phytoplankton Biomass and Dominant Species in the Changjiang River Estuary and Adjacent Seas:General Trends Based on Field Survey Data 1959-2009显示文摘The characteristics of seasonal variation in phytoplankton biomass and dominant species in the Changjiang River Estuary and adjacent seas were discussed based on field investigation data from 1959 to 2009. The field data from 1981 to 2004 showed that the Chlorophyll-a concentration in surface seawater was between 0.4 and 8.5 μg dm-3. The seasonal changes generally presented a bimodal trend, with the biomass peaks occurring in May and August, and Chlorophyll-a concentration was the lowest in winter. Seasonal biomass changes were mainly controlled by temperature and nutrient levels. From the end of autumn to the next early spring, phytoplankton biomass was mainly influenced by temperature, and in other seasons, nutrient level(including the nutrient supply from the terrestrial runoffs) was the major influence factor. Field investigation data from 1959 to 2009 demonstrated that diatoms were the main phytoplankton in this area, and Skeletonema costatum, Pseudo-nitzschia pungens, Coscinodiscus oculus-iridis, Thalassinoema nitzschioides, Paralia sulcata, Chaetoceros lorenzianus, Chaetoceros curvisetus, and Prorocentrum donghaiense Lu were common dominant species. The seasonal variations in major dominant phytoplankton species presented the following trends: 1) Skeletonema(mainly S. costatum) was dominant throughout the year; and 2) seasonal succession trends were Coscinodiscus(spring) →Chaetoceros(summer and autumn) → Coscinodiscus(winter). The annual dominance of S. costatum was attributed to its environmental eurytopicity and long standing time in surface waters. The seasonal succession of Coscinodiscus and Chaetoceros was associated with the seasonal variation in water stability and nutrient level in this area. 13Bone tissue regeneration:The role of finely tuned pore architecture of bioactive scaffolds before clinical translation显示文摘Spatial dimension of pores and interconnection in macroporous scaffolds is of particular importance in facilitating endogenous cell migration and bone tissue ingrowth.However,it is still a challenge to widely tune structure parameters of scaffolds by conventional methods because of inevitable pore geometrical deformation and poor pore interconnectivity.Here,the long-term in vivo biological performances of nonstoichiometric bioceramic scaffolds with different pore dimensions were assessed in critical-size femoral bone defect model.The 6%Mg-substituted wollastonite(CSi-Mg6)powders were prepared via wet-chemical precipitation and the scaffolds elaborately printed by ceramic stereolithography,displaying designed constant pore strut and tailorable pore height(200,320,450,600μm),were investigated thoroughly in the bone regeneration process.Together with detailed structural stability and mechanical properties were collaboratively outlined.BothμCT and histological analyses indicated that bone tissue ingrowth was retarded in 200μm scaffolds in the whole stage(2-16 weeks)but the 320μm scaffolds showed appreciable bone tissue in the center of porous constructs at 6-10 weeks and matured bone tissue were uniformly invaded in the whole pore networks at 16 weeks.Interestingly,the neo-tissue ingrowth was facilitated in the 450μm and 600μm scaffolds after 2 weeks and higher extent of bone regeneration and remodeling at the later stage.These new findings provide critical information on how engineered porous architecture impact bone regeneration in vivo.Simultaneously,this study shows important implications for optimizing the porous scaffolds design by advanced additive manufacture technique to match the clinical translation with high performance.Ronghuan Wu Yifan Li Miaoda Shen Xianyan Yang Lei Zhang Xiurong Ke Guojing Yang Changyou Gao Zhongru Gou Sanzhong Xu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:5
14Establishment and evaluation of a peanut association panel and analysis of key nutritional traits显示文摘Breeding programs aim to improve the yield and quality of peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.); using association mapping to identify genetic markers linked to these quantitative traits could facilitate selection efficiency. A peanut association panel was established consisting of 268 lines with extensive phenotypic and genetic variation, meeting the requirements for association analysis. These lines were grown over 3 years and the key agronomic traits, including protein and oil content were examined. Population structure(Q) analysis showed two subpopulations and clustering analysis was consistent with Q-based membership assignment and closely related to botanical type. Relative Kinship(K) indicated that most of the panel members have no or weak familial relatedness, with 52.78% of lines showing K ? 0. Linkagedisequilibrium(LD) analysis showed a high level of LD occurs in the panel. Model comparisons indicated false positives can be effectively controlled by taking Q and K into consideration and more false positives were generated by K than Q. A preliminary association analysis using a Q t K model found markers significantly associated with oil, protein, oleic acid, and linoleic acid, and identified a set of alleles with positive and negative effects. 15Influence of Ru on Solidification Behavior, Microstructure and Hardness of Re-free Ni-based Equiaxed Superalloys with High Cr Content显示文摘The effect of Ru addition on solidification behavior, microstructure and hardness of Re-free Ni-based equiaxed superalloys with high Cr content has been investigated. With the increase of Ru, the solidus temperature of the alloys and the γ′ solvus temperature decreased, respectively. However, the liquidus temperatures of the alloys had no obvious change. The microstructure of the as-cast alloys was mainly composed of γ, γ′, γ/γ′ eutectic and MC carbides. The γ/γ′ eutectic was completely dissolved after the heat treatment. The morphology of γ′ was more cuboidal in heat-treated alloys with increasing Ru. Furthermore, the volume fraction of γ′ in the as-cast and heat-treated alloys diminished upon the increase of Ru. It was noted that Ru addition changed the segregation behaviors of Cr and Mo in the alloys from positive segregation element to negative segregation element and promotes the segregation degree of W.As the Ru content increased, the magnitude of segregation of the positive segregation elements Ta and Ti increased accordingly. Meanwhile, the magnitude of Al segregation decreased and Ru tended to segregate in the dendrite core. 16RIP1-dependent linear and nonlinear recruitments of caspase-8 and RIP3 respectively to necrosome specify distinct cell death outcomes显示文摘There remains a significant gap in our quantitative understanding of crosstalk between apoptosis and necroptosis pathways.By employing the SWATH-MS technique,we quantified absolute amounts of up to thousands of proteins in dynamic assembling/de-assembling of TNF signaling complexes.Combining SWATH-MS-based network modeling and experimental validation,we found that when RIP1 level is below~1000 molecules/cell(mpc),the cell solely undergoes TRADD-dependent apoptosis.When RIP1 is above~1000 mpc,pro-caspase-8 and RIP3 are recruited to necrosome respectively with linear and nonlinear dependence on RIP1 amount,which well explains the co-occurrence of apoptosis and necroptosis and the paradoxical obser-vations that RIP1 is required for necroptosis but its increase down-regulates necroptosis.Higher amount of RIP1(>~46,000 mpc)suppresses apoptosis,leading to necroptosis alone.The relation between RIP1 level and occurrence of necroptosis or total cell death is biphasic.Our study provides a resource for encoding the com-plexity of TNF signaling and a quantitative picture how distinct dynamic interplay among proteins function as basis sets in signaling complexes,enabling RIP1 to play diverse roles in governing cell fate decisions.Xiang Li Chuan-Qi Zhong Rui Wu Xiaozheng Xu Zhang-Hua Yang Shaowei Cai Xiurong Wu Xin Chen Zhiyong Yin Qingzu He Dianjie Li Fei Xu Yihua Yan Hong Qi Changchuan Xie Jianwei Shuai Jiahuai Han 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,11:5
173D printing of Mg-substituted wollastonite reinforcing diopside porous bioceramics with enhanced mechanical and biological performances显示文摘Mechanical strength and its long-term stability of bioceramic scaffolds is still a problem to treat the osteonecrosis of the femoral head.Considering the long-term stability of diopside(DIO)ceramic but poor mechanical strength,we developed the DIO-based porous bioceramic composites via dilute magnesium substituted wollastonite reinforcing and three-dimensional(3D)printing.The experimental results showed that the secondary phase(i.e.10%magnesium substituting calcium silicate;CSM10)could readily improve the sintering property of the bioceramic composites(DIO/CSM10-x,x=0-30)with increasing the CSM10 content from 0%to 30%,and the presence of the CSM10 also improved the biomimetic apatite mineralization ability in the pore struts of the scaffolds.Furthermore,the flexible strength(12.5 -30 MPa)and compressive strength(14-37 MPa)of the 3D printed porous bioceramics remarkably increased with increasing CSM10 content,and the compressive strength of DIO/CSM10-30 showed a limited decay(from 37 MPa to 29 MPa)in the Tris buffer solution for a long time stage(8 weeks).These findings suggest that the new CSM10-reinforced diopside porous constructs possess excellent mechanical properties and can potentially be used to the clinic,especially for the treatment of osteonecrosis of the femoral head work as a bioceramic rod.Dongshuang He Chen Zhuang Sanzhong Xu Xiurong Ke Xianyan Yang Lei Zhang Guojing Yang Xiaoyi Chen Xiaozhou Mou An Liu Zhongru Gou 2016Bioactive Materials2016,1,1:5
18Effect of the addition of organic carbon sources on nitrous oxide emission in anaerobic-aerobic(low dissolved oxygen)sequencing batch reactors显示文摘The effect of additional organic carbon sources on the production of nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)in anaerobicaerobic(low dissolved oxygen)real wastewater treatment system was investigated.In this paper,three laboratoryscale sequencing batch reactors(SBRs)(SBR-1,SBR-2 and SBR-3)were operating under an anaerobic-aerobic(low dissolved oxygen,0.15-0.45 mg·L^(-1))configuration.The SBRs were‘long-term cultured’respectively with a single municipal wastewater sample,sodium acetate,and a waste-activated sludge alkaline fermentation liquid as the additional carbon sources of real wastewater.Off-gas analysis showed that N_(2)O was emitted into the atmosphere during the aerobic(low dissolved oxygen)period in the three SBRs,and the order of N_(2)O emission rate was SBR-2>SBR-1>SBR-3.It was observed that the higher poly-β-hydroxyvalerate fraction of polyhydroxyalkanoates,the lower glycogen transformation and less nitrite accumulation was in SBR-3,while the opposite behavior was observed in SBR-2.Further research indicated that the interaction of the factors above potentially affected the N_(2)O emission in the anaerobic-aerobic(low dissolved oxygen)system.Hongjing LI Xiurong CHEN Yinguang CHEN 2010Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2010,4,4:5

We obtained the full-length DNA of the chloroplast Cu/Zn-SOD gene(Ah CSD2)from 11 allotetraploid cultivars and 5 diploid wild species in peanut. BLAST search against the peanut genome showed that the Ah CSD2 genes g CSD2-1 and g CSD2-2 are located at the tops of chromosome A03(A genome) and B03(B genome), respectively, and both contain 8exons and 7 introns. Nucleotide sequence analyses indicated that g CSD2-2 sequences were identical among all the tested cultivars, while g CSD2-1 sequences showed allelic variations.The amino acid sequences deduced from g CSD2-1 and g CSD2-2 both contain a chloroplast transit peptide and are distinguished by 6 amino acid(aa) residue differences. The other 2aa residue variations in the mature peptide regions give rise to three-dimensional structure changes of the protein deduced from the genes g CSD2-1 and g CSD2-2. Sequences analyses of cultivars and wild species showed that g CSD2-2 of Arachis hypogaea and g Aip CSD2(Arachis ipaensis) are identical, and despite the abundant polymorphic loci between g CSD2-1 of A.hypogaea and sequences from A genome wild species, the deduced amino acid sequence of Ah CSD2-1(A. hypogaea) is identical to that of Adu CSD2(Arachis duranensis), whereas Aco CSD2(Arachis correntina) and Aca CSD2(Arachis cardenasii) both have 2 aa differences in the transit peptide region compared with Ah CSD2-1(A. hypogaea). Based on the Peanut Genome Project, promoter prediction revealed many stress-related cis-acting elements within the potential promoter regions(pp-A and pp-B). pp-A contains more binding sites for drought-associated transcriptional factors than pp-B. 20Application of Landscape Plants in the Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park显示文摘The current situation of plants in Shilihe Beach of the Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park was investigated and analyzed. The results show that there are about 181 species of landscape plants in this park, of which arbors and shrubs are dominant. Various species of plants grow differently because of different types of artificial maintenance. The overall partition of the wetland park dose not follow the features of a river-type wetland and is not clear. In this park, the planting area of hygrophyte is far less than that of terrestrial plants. As a result, the wetland park is evolving into a public garden.
