| 3 | Isolation and characterization of ferrous-and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria from Tengchong solfataric region,China显示文摘Microbial oxidation and reduction of iron and sulfur are important parts of biogeochemical cycles in acidic environments such as geothermal solfataric regions.Species of Acidithiobacillus and Leptospirillum are the common ferrous-iron and sulfur oxidizers from such environments.This study focused on the Tengchong sofataric region,located in Yunnan Province,Southwest China.Based on cultivation,9 strains that grow on ferrous-iron and sulfuric compounds were obtained.Analysis of 16S rRNA genes of the 9 strains indicated that they were affliated to Acidithiobacillus,Alicyclobacillus,Sulfobacillus,Leptospirillum and Acidiphilium.Physiological and phylogenetic studies indicated that two strains(TC-34 and TC-71) might represent two novel members of Alicyclobacillus.Strain TC-34 and TC-71 showed 94.8%-97.1%16S rRNA gene identities to other species of Alicyclobacillus.Different from the previously described Alicyclobacillus species,strains TC-34 and TC-71 were mesophilic and their cellular fatty acids do not containω-cyclic fatty acids.Strain TC-71 was obligately dependent on ferrous-iron for growth.It was concluded that the ferrous-iron oxidizers were diversified and Alicyclobacillus species were proposed to take part in biochemical geocycling of iron in the Tengchong solfataric region. | JIANG Chengying LIU Ying LIU Yanyang GUO Xu LIU Shuang-Jiang | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,9: | 5 |
| 4 | Proteomic and molecular investigations revealed that Acidithiobacillus caldus adopts multiple strategies for adaptation to NaCl stress显示文摘Acidithiobacillus caldus plays an important role in commercial bioleaching.To understand how NaCl stress adaptation occurs in A.caldus,we grew A.caldus strain SM-1 in media containing high NaCl concentrations.SM-1 grew at concentrations of up to 1.0-mol L^(-1)NaCl,but growth was severely inhibited at higher concentrations.Proteomic analysis showed that SM-1 used multiple strategies to respond to NaCl stress.In addition to several heatshock proteins,enzymes involved in proline biosynthesis increased under NaCl stress.In addition,two DNA-binding proteins and a third protein of unknown function(Atc_(1291)),which was subsequently identified as a putative single-stranded DNA-binding protein,were up-regulated in the presence of NaCl stress.These DNA-binding proteins might play a role in response to osmotic stress.Atc_(1291)was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli.Surprisingly,we found that E.coli BL21/pET28a-atc_(1291)grew to higher cell densities than E.coli BL21/pET28a,regardless of NaCI stress.Homologs to Atc_(1291)were identified in several groups of Proleohacleria.The role of Atc_(1291)in enhancing cell growth needs further investigation. | Xu Guo Chengying Jiang Yuanming Luo Mingjiang Zhang Ansgar Poetsch Shuangjiang Liu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,3: | 2 |

| 14 | Daily administration times of Canhuang tablet based on a pharmacodynamic/pharmacokinetic model in jaundiced rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the daily administration times of Canhuang tablet(CHT) for treating jaundice in rats based on a pharmacodynamic/ pharmacokinetic model.METHODS: Rats were modeled by 4% 1-Naphthylisothiocyanate(75 mg/kg, p.o.). After 48 h, CHT was given(p.o.) at 0.75 g/kg once a day, 0.375 g/kg twice a day, and 0.25 g/kg three times a day. Blood was collected from the orbital sinus at different intervals. Levels of liver enzymes and bilirubin were detected using these blood samples. Bile was collected and determined after the first administration of CHT. High-performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the concentration of berberine in bile simultaneously. Time-effect and time-dose curves were then obtained.RESULTS: Compared with rats taking CHT twiceand three times a day, the total amount of bile within 10 h of rats taking CHT once a day were 1.32-and 1.47-fold higher, respectively. There was good consistency between the pharmacokinetics of berberine and the pharmacodynamics of the effect on liver enzymes and bilirubin in vivo. The pharmacokinetic analyses showed that rats administered CHT once daily maintained a higher concentration of berberine in bile for a longer period than rats administered CHT two- and three-times daily.CONCLUSION: In jaundiced rats, taking CHT once a day is better than taking CHT twice or three times a day. | 20 | Thermally Conductive Study of Polyethylene/Al2O3 Composite Networks Cross-linked by Electron Beam Irradiation显示文摘The surface-modifled Al2O3 particles were introduced into polyethylene(PE)to enhance the thermal conductivity,and PE/Al2O3 cross-linked networks with improved thermal and mechanical properties were prepared through electron beam(EB)irradiation technology.The incorporation of reactive irradiation sensitizer was useful in fabricating a high degree of cross-linking(DC)PE networks under a low irradiation dose.In the PE sample containing 2%sensitizer,DC ca.67.1%could be obtained under 60 kGy(1 kGy=1000 J/kg).EB-irradiation greatly improved thetensile stress of PE-based samples,and the tensile stresses of the samples with 0.2—5%TMPTA(trimethylolpr pane triacrvlate)under 60 kGy were 24.61—27.77 MPa.All the EB-irradiated samples had higher Vicat softening temperatures than the samples without irradiation.After treatment at 120 kGy,the Vicat softening temperatures of PE-Al2O3-44/TMPTA-2 increased from 127℃to 130.4℃.SEM images revealed that PE-Al2O3-5O samples with increased amount of Al2O3 particles showed a conduction'pathway,'and thennal conductivity reached 0.67 W/(m·K).Thus,high-performance pipes were extruded,which could satisfy the static hydraulic blasting test and exhibit improved thennal conduction capability. | SHI Chengying YANG Jiayu LIU Yang WANG Yanmiao XU Wenge XU Yiquan HU Wei LIU Baijun | 2020 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,5: | 0 |
