1Mechanical performances and microstructural characteristics of reactive MgO-carbonated silt subjected to freezing-thawing cycles显示文摘The characteristics of reactive magnesia(MgO)-carbonated silt in respect to long-term stability have not been well understood in severely cold climate despite the usage of reactive MgO in enhancing the engineering performances.Under the binder content of 15%and initial water content of 25%,MgO-admixed silt specimens were carbonized for 3 h and 6 h and then subjected to different numbers of freezingthawing(F-T)cycles.After different F-T cycles,the physico-mechanical properties of MgO-carbonated silt were analyzed in comparison with Portland cement(PC)-stabilized silt through physical and unconfined compression tests.Besides,a series of micro tests on MgO-carbonated specimens was performed including X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)tests.The results demonstrate that both mass change ratio and moisture content of carbonated/stabilized silt decrease,and these values of MgO-carbonated silt are significantly lower while the density is higher compared to PC-stabilized silt.The strengths and moduli of MgO-carbonated silt are still two times higher than those of PC-stabilized specimens and the strength change ratio of keeps above0.8 after F-T cycles.There is no visible transformation between nesquehonite and dypingite/hydromagnesite,although the XRD peaks of nesquehonite decrease and the bonding and filling effects weaken slightly.After 6 and 10 F-T cycles,the pore-size characteristics changed from a unimodal distribution to a three-peak and bimodal distribution,respectively.The total,macro and large pore volumes increase obviously while the medium and small pore volumes decrease except for intra-aggregate pore.The findings show better F-T durability of MgO-carbonated silt,which would be helpful for facilitating the application of MgO carbonation in the soil treatment.Guanghua Cai Songyu Liu Guangyin Du Zhen Chen Xu Zheng Jiangshan Li 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,4:3
2Simulation-based optimization of control policy on multi-echelon inventory system for fresh agricultural products显示文摘As fresh agricultural products are perishable and vulnerable,reducing inventory cost is a strategic target for supply chain enterprises.How to design a reliable multi-echelon inventory control policy is still a great challenge.Therefore,the inventory cost of a three-level fresh agricultural products inventory system was firstly mathematically analyzed.Then,the simulation-based optimization model of the multi-echelon inventory system for fresh agricultural products was proposed by using the Flexsim simulation software and the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm.Finally,the multi-echelon inventory system is simulated based on a large number of survey data.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed simulation-based optimization model of multi-echelon inventory system for fresh agricultural products can provide decision-making and technical support for the formulation of inventory control policy,and also it shows that the modeling of system simulation is an effective method to solve the problem of complex system.Guangyin Xu Jihao Feng Fenglei Chen Heng Wang Zhenfeng Wang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,2:2

6Temperature variation of reaction liquid of ultrafine corn stover in photosynthetic hydrogen production显示文摘The thermo-physical phenomena existing in the process of hydrogen production by photosynthetic bacteria with ultrafine corn stover directly affect the energy consumption of biological hydrogen production system,the activity of hydrogen production,and hydrogen production rate.In order to discover theoretical basis for optimizing process parameters of the photosynthetic bioreactor for ultrafine corn stover,experimental investigation was conducted to identify the effects of the granularity of ultrafine corn stover on the temperature variation using a self-developed photosynthetic bio-hydrogen thermal-effect experimental device.This paper describes experimental research on temperature variation of reaction liquid with ultrafine-ground corn stover in photosynthetic hydrogen production,and on the temperature field and change trend of reaction liquid of corn stover with different granularities in bio-hydrogen production.Experimental results showed that,the greater the granularity of corn stover,the slower the temperature rising speed of the reaction liquid with corn stover in the initial phase of photosynthetic hydrogen production,and the lower the relative average temperature of reaction liquid in photosynthetic hydrogen production.This result is of great significance in research on the photosynthetic hydrogen production technology from biomass,providing a theoretical basis for thermal effect in solar photosynthetic hydrogen production.Zhang Quanguo Wang Yingkuan Hu Jianjun Guo Jie Zhang Zhiping Jing Yanyan Xu Guangyin Wang Yi 2014International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2014,7,5:1
7Tectonics and Seismicity of the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon Region显示文摘The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon region is located in the frontal zone of the eastern Himalayan syntaxis, where neo-tectonics and seismicity are intensive and closely related to each other. In the region, two sets of fault structures have developed, striking NNE-NE and NWW-NW, respectively. Investigation shows that they differ markedly in terms of scope, property, active times and intensity. The NWW-NW trending faults are large in size, and most are thrust and thrust strike-slip faults, formed in earlier times. The NEE-NE-strike faults are relatively small in size individually, with concentrated distribution, constituting the NNE-trending shear extensional fault zone, which is relatively younger with evident late Quaternary activities. Strong earthquakes occur mainly in the areas or zones of intensive differential movement of the Himalayas, e.g. along the deep and large fault zones around the crustal blocks. Most earthquakes of M≥7.0 are closely related to tectonics, where large-scale Holocene active faults are distributed with complicated fault geometry, or the faults of multiple directions intersect. 13The strong cross relaxation of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions in the oxvfluoride glass ceramics显示文摘Oxyfluoride glass ceramic is a new up-conversion fluorescent material with the low phonon energy just like fluoride and the good mechanical stability like oxide. In the oxyfluoride glass ceramics co-doped with Er3+ and Yb3+ ions, the red radiation is dominant while it is excited by the violet light. But in the general fluorescent material, the green radiation is dominant because the multi-phonon relaxation occurs step by step. The strong cross relaxation process of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions is mainly responsible for enhancement of the red radiation intensity in the oxyfluoride glass ceramics. 16Seismic Zonation of Central-Southern Hunan Province, China显示文摘Based on basic data used in compiling the Zonation Map of Earthquake Ground Motion Parameters in China, recent research on seismic safety assessment for engineering sites in central-southern Hunan Province, the new attenuation relationships of moderate earthquakes and the background seismicity data obtained by modern instrumental earthquake records since 1970, a new result of seismic zonation of central-southern Hunan Province is provided. The result shows that the area with PGA=0.05g has obviously increased in the new map compared with the previous one and is relatively consistent with the seismic disaster characteristics of moderate earthquakes that took place in the central-southern part of Hunan in recent years. 18Study on the Activity of the Toupo Fault in Southern Anhui Province显示文摘The Toupo Fault, located in southern Anhui Province, strikes N60°~70°E in a linear route that is clear on satellitic image. It plays an important role in controlling the tectonics, geomorphology and distribution of Mesozoic-Cenozoic basins and strata. Detailed field investigation was carried out along the Toupo Fault to study its activity. Profiles, as well as a trench excavated reveal that the Quaternary super stratum above the fault had not been offset. The stratum was sampled and dated with TL methods to be the Mid-Pleistocene time, implying that the fault had been no longer active since then. Three stages can be divided since the fault was formed. The first stage is in the late Yanshan Movement, when the fault movement was of reversal strike-slipping and the tracks formed then are still clear today. The second stage is in the early Himalayan Movement—the late Cretaceous-early Tertiary, when the fault movement turned to be normal faulting and the southern wall became a tensile basin and received clastic sediment. The third stage is since the late Tertiary, when the tectonic movement was very weak. No late Tertiary sediments were formed and the Quaternary sediment was only as thick as ten meters. The geomorphology also suggested an aging form. 20High formability Mg-Zn-Gd wire facilitates ACL reconstruction via its swift degradation to accelerate intra-tunnel endochondral ossification显示文摘After reconstructing the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL),unsatisfactory bone tendon interface healing may often induce tunnel enlargement at the early healing stage.With good biological features and high formability,Magnesium-Zinc-Gadolinium(ZG21)wires are developed to bunch the tendon graft for matching the bone tunnel during transplantation.Microstructure,tensile strength,degradation,and cytotoxicity of ZG21 wire are evaluated.The rabbit model is used for assessing the biological effects of ZG21 wire by Micro-CT,histology,and mechanical test.The SEM/EDS,immunochemistry,and in vitro assessments are performed to investigate the underlying mechanism.Material tests demonstrate the high formability of ZG21 wire as surgical suture.Micro-CT shows ZG21 wire degradation accelerates tunnel bone formation,and histologically with earlier and more fibrocartilage regeneration at the healing interface.The mechanical test shows higher ultimate load in the ZG21 group.The SEM/EDS presents ZG21 wire degradation triggered calcium phosphate(Ca-P)deposition.IHC results demonstrate upregulation of Wnt3a,BMP2,and VEGF at the early phase and TGFβ3 and Type II collagen at the late phase of healing.In vitro tests also confirmed the Ca-P in the metal extract could elevate the expression of Wnt3a,βcatenin,ocn and opn to stimulate osteogenesis.Ex vivo tests of clinical samples indicated suturing with ZG21 wire did not weaken the ultimate loading of human tendon tissue.In conclusion,the ZG21 wire is feasible for tendon graft bunching.Its degradation products accelerated intra-tunnel endochondral ossification at the early healing stage and therefore enhanced bone-tendon interface healing in ACL reconstruction.Xuan He Ye Li Hongwei Miao Jiankun Xu Michael Tim-yun Ong Chenmin Wang Lizhen Zheng Jiali Wang Le Huang Haiyue Zu Zhi Yao Jie Mi Bingyang Dai Xu Li Patrick Shu-hang Yung Guangyin Yuan Ling Qin 2024Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2024,12,1:0
