| 1 | A Survey of Novel Processes to Produce Ultra Low Sulfur Gasoline显示文摘The restriction on sulfur level in gasoline has been increasingly tightened. The U.S.Tier Ⅱ regulation requires a reduction from average 340ppm to 30ppm from 2004 to 2008. Recently significant progress has been made in effective high sulfur removal, such as post treatment of FCC gasoline by selective hydrotreating, S Zorb sulfur removal technology, OATS process etc. The sulfur content of FCC gasoline can be deceased to less than 10ppm. With regard to gasoline pool composition in China, it is very important to look for effective desulfurization processes that are simple, straightforward, with less hydrogen consumption. Post-treatment of FCC gasoline is a preferred option. | 2 | Newborn screening with targeted sequencing:a multicenter investigation and a pilot clinical study in China显示文摘Different newborn screening(NBS) programs have been practiced in many countries since the 1960 s. It is of considerable interest whether next-generation sequencing is applicable in NBS. We have developed a panel of 465 causative genes for 596 early-onset, relatively high incidence, and potentially actionable severe inherited diseases in our Newborn Screening with Targeted Sequencing(NESTS) program to screen 11,484 babies in 8 Women and Children’s hospitals nationwide in China retrospectively. The positive rate from preliminary screening of NESTS was 7.85%(902/11,484). With 45.89%(414/902) follow-up of preliminary positive cases, the overall clinically confirmative diagnosis rate of monogenic disorders was 12.07%(50/414), estimating an average of 0.95%(7.85% × 12.07%) clinical diagnosis rate, suggesting that monogenic disorders account for a considerable proportion of birth defects. The disease/gene spectrum varied in different regions of China. NESTS was implemented in a hospital by screening 3923 newborns to evaluate its clinical application. The turn-around time of a primary report, including the sequencing period of < 7 days, was within 11 days by our automatic interpretation pipeline. | 3 | Regression model for civil aero-engine gas path parameter deviation based on deep domainadaptation with Res-BP neural network显示文摘The variations in gas path parameter deviations can fully reflect the healthy state of aeroengine gas path components and units;therefore,airlines usually take them as key parameters for monitoring the aero-engine gas path performance state and conducting fault diagnosis.In the past,the airlines could not obtain deviations autonomously.At present,a data-driven method based on an aero-engine dataset with a large sample size can be utilized to obtain the deviations.However,it is still difficult to utilize aero-engine datasets with small sample sizes to establish regression models for deviations based on deep neural networks.To obtain monitoring autonomy of each aero-engine model,it is crucial to transfer and reuse the relevant knowledge of deviation modelling learned from different aero-engine models.This paper adopts the Residual-Back Propagation Neural Network(Res-BPNN)to deeply extract high-level features and stacks multi-layer Multi-Kernel Maximum Mean Discrepancy(MK-MMD)adaptation layers to map the extracted high-level features to the Reproduce Kernel Hilbert Space(RKHS)for discrepancy measurement.To further reduce the distribution discrepancy of each aero-engine model,the method of maximizing domain-confusion loss based on an adversarial mechanism is introduced to make the features learned from different domains as close as possible,and then the learned features can be confused.Through the above methods,domain-invariant features can be extracted,and the optimal adaptation effect can be achieved.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by using cruise data from different civil aero-engine models and compared with other transfer learning algorithms. | Xingjie ZHOU Xuyun FU Minghang ZHAO Shisheng ZHONG | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,1: | 6 |
| 4 | Engineered porous Ni2P-nanoparticle/Ni2P-nanosheet arrays via the Kirkendall effect and Ostwald ripening towards efficient overall water splitting显示文摘Transitional metal phosphides with array-like structure grown on conductive support materials are promising bifunctional catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).In this study,a method was developed to synthesize directly porous Ni2P nanosheet arrays and Ni2P nanoparticles onto nickel foam via a hydrothermal reaction followed by a phosphorization process.Mechanistic studies revealed that the allomorphs of Ni2P nanosheets and Ni2P nanoparticles in the array-like structure were formed via the Kirkendall effect and Ostwald ripening.A fully functional water electrolyzer containing Ni2P as electrodes for the OER and HER exhibited promising activity and stability.At 10 mA·cm^−2,a Ni2P cell voltage of 1.63 V was obtained,which was only 0.05 V smaller than that found for Pt/C/NF||RuO2/NF cell.The enhanced electrocatalytic performance resulted from the favorable porosity of the Ni2P arrays and the synergistic effect between Ni2P nanosheets and Ni2P nanoparticles. | Yutai Wu Hui Wang Shan Ji Bruno G.Pollet Xuyun Wang Rongfang Wang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,8: | 6 |
| 5 | Aircraft engine fault detection based on grouped convolutional denoising autoencoders显示文摘Many existing aircraft engine fault detection methods are highly dependent on performance deviation data that are provided by the original equipment manufacturer. To improve the independent engine fault detection ability, Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System(ACARS) data can be used. However, owing to the characteristics of high dimension, complex correlations between parameters, and large noise content, it is difficult for existing methods to detect faults effectively by using ACARS data. To solve this problem, a novel engine fault detection method based on original ACARS data is proposed. First, inspired by computer vision methods, all variables were divided into separated groups according to their correlations. Then, an improved convolutional denoising autoencoder was used to extract the features of each group. Finally, all of the extracted features were fused to form feature vectors. Thereby, fault samples could be identified based on these feature vectors. Experiments were conducted to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of our method and other competing methods by considering real ACARS data as the data source. The results reveal the good performance of our method with regard to comprehensive fault detection and robustness. | 7 | Whole-exome sequencing reveals twovariants in thegene in two Chinese patients with left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy显示文摘Importance:Pathogenic variants in theRBM20 gene are associated with aggressive dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM).Recently,RBM20 was found to be associated with left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy(LVNC).Thus far,only five families with LVNC have been reported to carry variants inRBM20.It remains unknown whether the variants inRBM20 associated with DCM can also cause LVNC.Objective:To elucidate the causativeRBM20 variant in two unrelated patients with both LVNC and DCM,and to identify the clinical characteristics associated with variants inRBM20.Methods:Trio whole-exome sequencing(WES)was performed.Variants were filtered and classified in accordance with the guidelines of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics(ACMG).Results:We identified two distinctde novo variants inRBM20(one per patient)in these two patients with LVNC.Both variants have been reported in patients with DCM,without the LVNC phenotype.Patient 1 was an 11-year-old girl who had DCM,LVNC,and heart failure;the ratio of noncompacted-to-compacted myocardium was 2.7:1.Ade novo heterozygous variant c.1907G>A(p.Arg636His)in exon 9 was identified in this patient.Patient 2 was a 13-year-old boy who had clinical phenotypes identical to those of Patient 1;the ratio of noncompacted-to-compacted myocardium was 3.2:1 in this patient.WES revealed ade novo heterozygous variant c.1909A>G(p.Ser637Gly)in exon 9.Both variants were previously characterized as pathogenic,and our study classified them as pathogenic variants based on the ACMG guidelines.Interpretation:We found that two patients with LVNC had variants inRBM20.Our results extended the clinical spectrum of the twoRBM20 variants and illustrated that the same variant inRBM20 can cause DCM,with or without the LVNC phenotype. | Qiqing Sun Jun Guo Chanjuan Hao Ruolan Guo Xuyun Hu Yuanying Chen Weili Yang Wei Li Yingjun Feng | 2020 | Pediatric Investigation2020,4,1: | 2 |

| 10 | Interstitial copper-doped edge contact for n-type carrier transport in black phosphorus显示文摘Black phosphorus(BP)has been shown as a promising two-dimensional(2D)material for electronic devices owing to its high carrier mobility.To realize complementary electronic circuits with 2D materials,it is important to fabricate both n-type and p-type transistors with the same channel material.By engineering the contact region with copper(Cu)-doped BP,here we demonstrate an n-type carrier transport in BP field-effect transistors(FETs),which usually exhibit strongly p-type characteristics.Cu metal atoms are found to severely penetrate into the BP flakes,which forms interstitial Cu(Cuint)-doped edge contact and facilitates the electron transport in BP.Our BP FETs in backgated configuration exhibit n-type dominant characteristics with a high electron mobility of^138 cm^2 V^−1 s^−1 at room temperature.The Schottky barrier height for electrons is relatively low because of the edge contact between Cuint-doped BP and pristine BP channel.The contact doping of BP by highly mobile Cu atoms gives rise to n-type transport property of BP FETs.Furthermore,we demonstrate a p-n junction on the same BP flake with asymmetric contact.This strategy on contact engineering can be further extended to other 2D materials. | Ziyuan Lin Jingli Wang Xuyun Guo Jiewei Chen Chao Xu Mingqiang Liu Bilu Liu Ye Zhu Yang Chai | 2019 | InfoMat2019,1,2: | 2 |

| 17 | Ligand-controlled synthesis of high density and ultra-small Ru nanoparticles with excellent electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance显示文摘Ultra-small size metal nanoparticles(u-MNPs)have broad applications in the fields of catalysis,biomedicine and energy conversion.Herein,by means of a ligand-controlled synthesis strategy,series of Ru-based NPs with high dispersity and ultra-small size(marked as u-Ru/C),or sparse and aggregated state(marked as a-Ru/C)anchored on the surface of hollow porous carbon shells are prepared.Systematical in-situ thermogravimetry-mass spectrometry-Fourier transform infrared spectra tests suggest that the different ligands in these Ru-based precursors can regulate the nucleation,growth and fixation of metal sites during the pyrolysis process,thus contributing to Ru NPs with various size and dispersity.As a result,when applied to hydrogen evolution reaction,the u-Ru-1/C catalyst displays a low Tafel slope of 26 mV dec-1,overpotential of 31 mV(at 10 mA cm^(-2))and a large exchange current density of 1.7 mA cm^(-2) in 1.0 M KOH,significantly better than that of the a-Ru-2/C,hollow carbon and even commercial 20%Pt/C.This is mainly because that the u-Ru-1/C sample owns both smaller particle size,more electrochemical active sites,higher intrinsic activity and optimized surface H adsorption ability than that of the a-Ru-2/C counterpart.Such ligand-modulated growth strategy is not only applicable to Ru,but also can be extended to other similar metals,offering a step forward in the design and synthesis of highly dispersed u-MNPs. | Zhiwen Che Xuyun Lu Bingfeng Cai Xiangxing Xu Jianchun Bao Ying Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 1 |
