1The Yanshan orogeny and late Mesozoic multi-plate convergence in East Asia—Commemorating 90th years of the “Yanshan Orogeny”显示文摘The Yanshan movement/orogeny has been proposed for 90 years, which is of special significance in the history of geological research in China. This study conducted a review by synthesizing major achievements regarding episodic deformation features, sedimentary and magmatic records of the Yanshan orogeny in China, and clarified the episodic tectono-magmatism and its geodynamic origins. The tectonic implications of the Yanshan orogeny are discussed in the context of global plate tectonics and supercontinent reconstruction. Lines of evidence from structural, sedimentary and magmatic data suggest that the Yanshan orogeny represents a regional-scale tectonic event that affected the entire China continent in late Mesozoic period. Numerous age and structural constraints consistently indicate that the Yanshan orogeny was initiated in the Jurassic(at ~170±5 Ma). and was characterized by alternating stages of crustal shortening at ~170–136 Ma, crustal extension at ~135–90 Ma, and weak shortening at ~80 Ma. The 170–136 Ma crustal shortening was reflected in the generation of two regional stratigraphic unconformities(the Tiaojishan and Zhangjiakou unconformities), which were initially named the A and B episodes of 'the Yanshan Orogeny' by Mr.Wong Wenhao in 1928. Geodynamically, the Yanshan orogeny in East Asia was associated with nearly coeval oceanic subduction and continental convergence in the Paleo-Pacific, Neo-Tethys, and Mongol-Okhotsk tectonic domains. As a consequence, three giant accretionary-collisional tectonic systems were formed along the continental margins of East Asia, i.e., the Mongol-Okhotsk, Bangonghu-Nujiang, and SE China subduction-and collision-related accretionary systems. The Yanshan orogeny induced widespread crustal-scale folding and thrusting, tectonic reactivation of long-lived zones of crustal weakness,and extensive magmatism and mineralization in intraplate regions. 2Mineral chemistry, geochemistry and U-Pb SHRIMP zircon data of the Yangxin monzonitic intrusive in the foreland of the Dabie orogen显示文摘The Yangxin composite intrusive consists of three generations of plutons, among which 90% are the second generation intrusions. The second generation intrusion has U-Pb SHRIMP zircon age of 134±2 Ma, substantially younger than the early stage of the Yanshanian. Amphibole and biotite, major mafic minerals in the Yangxin plutons, are rich in magnesium, suggesting a deep source of their parental magma, possibly derived from the upper mantle. Whole rock geochemical data on these rocks show that they have high Al2O3 (15.92%―16.38%), relatively high alkali (Na2O+K2O = 6.95%―7.37%) and higher Na2O contents than K2O (Na2O/K2O = 1.47―1.94). They also have high Sr con-tents (816―897 μg/g) are enriched in strong incompatible elements such as Rb, U, Th, K and LREE, but depleted in HREE and Y. Strong fractionation of LREE from HREE as indicated by high (La/Yb)N ratios ranging from 17.83 to 20.86. Although with little difference, the whole characteristics of the Yangxin intrusive body are greatly similar to the adakite, referring that the formation of the parental magma may relate with the partial melting of the basalt underplating from the mantle after delamina-tion of the mountain root of the Dabie orogen. The body has been uplifted about 5 km since cooling concretion, the average rate was only about 0.04 mm/a,much slower than that of the Dabie orogen in late Mesozoic, but the rates of denudation in two area are similar in Cenozoic.XUE Huaimin DONG Shuwen JIAN Ping 2006Science China Earth Sciences2006,49,7:12
3Formation of Natural Bitumen and its Implication for Oil/gas Prospect in Dabashan Foreland显示文摘Natural bitumen is the evolutionary residue of hydrocarbon of sedimentary organic matter.Several kinds of bitumen with different occurrences,including bitumen in source rock,migration bitumen filled in fault,oil-bed bitumen and paleo-reservoir bitumen,are distributed widely in the Dabashan foreland.These kinds of bitumen represent the process of oil/gas formation,migration and accumulation in the region.Bitumen in source rock filled in fractures and stylolite and experienced deformation simultaneously together with source rock themselves.It indicated that oil/gas generation and expelling from source rock occurred under normal buried thermal conditions during prototype basin evolution stages prior to orogeny.Occurrences of bitumen in source rock indicated that paleo-reservoir formation conditions existed in the Dabashan foreland.Migration bitumen being widespread in the fault revealed that the fault was the main channel for oil/gas migration,which occurred synchronously with Jurassic foreland deformation.Oil-bed bitumen was the kind of pyrolysis bitumen that distributed in solution pores of reservoir rock in the Dabashan foreland depression,the northeastern Sichuan Basin.Geochemistry of oil-bed bitumen indicated that natural gas that accumulated in the Dabashan foreland depression formed from liquid hydrocarbon by pyrolysis process.However,paleo-reservior bitumen in the Dabashan forleland was the kind of degradation bitumen that formed from liquid hydrocarbon within the paleo-reservior by oxidation,alteration and other secondary changes due to paleo-reservior damage during tectonics in the Dabashan foreland.In combination with the tectonic evolution of the Dabashan foreland,it is proposed that the oil/gas generated,migrated and accumulated to form the paleo-reservoir during the Triassic Indosinian tectonic movement.Jurassic collision orogeny,the Yanshan tectonic movement,led to intracontinental orogeny of the Dabashan area accompanied by geofluid expelling and paleo-reservoir damage in the Dabashan foreland.The present work proposed that there is liquid hydrocarbon exploration potential in the Dabashan foreland,while there are prospects for the existence of natural gas in the Dabashan foreland depression.LI Rongxi DONG Shuwen ZHANG Xue ZHU Ruijing 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,2:7
4Soil Erodibility and Physicochemical Properties of Collapsing Gully Alluvial Fans in Southern China显示文摘In southern China, collapsing gully erosion produces massive deposits of sediment on the plough layer of alluvial fan farmland,leading to reduced nutrients, increased erodibility, and even desertification. The aim of this study was to investigate soil erodibility(the factor K in the Universal Soil Loss Equation, USLE) and physicochemical properties of the alluvial fans of the most severe collapsing gully erosion areas(Hubei, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong provinces) in southern China. The soils of the collapsing gully alluvial fans had a higher bulk density, but a lower total porosity, saturated water content, and silt and clay fractions than the control(CK) soils from the farmland without desertification. Soil quality gradually decreased from fan edge to fanhead. Significant decreases were found in soil p H, organic matter, cation exchange capacity, and total potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus, as well as available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, resulting in a gradual decrease in soil nutrients from the fanedge to the fanhead. Soil erodibility was greatest in the fanhead, and soil erodibility K values of the alluvial fans were 53.71%, 66.28%, 67.53%, and 71.68% greater than that in those of the CK soils of Hubei, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong, respectively, indicating a significant correlation between the soil erodibility K values and physicochemical properties, particularly sand fraction and organic matter content. 12Decavanadate-based Transition Metal Hybrids as Bifunctional Catalysts for Sulfide Oxidation and C-C Bond Construction显示文摘The development of bifunctional catalysts has drawn much attention in realizing efficient and feasible catalytic systems to meet the diverse dema nd of pote ntial industrial applications.Desig n of stable and powerful bifun ctional catalysts for various catalysis systems is highly desirable yet largely unmet.Here,three kinds of decavanadate-based transition metal hybrids(DTMH)(i.e.,Co-DTMH,Ni-DTMH and Ag-DTMH)have been successfully synthesized through a pH tuning strategy and further characterized.Specifically,the rare M05N six-coordinated transition metal coordination modes have been detected in Co-DTMH and Ni-DTMH,while Ag atoms in Ag-DTMH exhibited three-and five-coordinated geometries with the tuning of specially selected imidazole ligands.Thus-obtained clusters can serve as powerful bifunctional catalysts for both sulfide oxidation and C-C bond construction.Remarkably,Ag-DTMH dem on st rated excellent heteroge ne ous bifunctional catalytic properties in the selective oxidati on of sulfides and construction of C-C bond(yields up to 99%),which enable successful recycling for three cycles with remained catalytic activities and structure stability.The newly designed decavanadate-based transition metal hybrids with bifunctional property hold high promise in the practical applications like continuous catalysis or flow bed reactions.Xianqiang Huang Xiaoyu Gu Yuquan Qi Yanru Zhang Guodong Shen Bingchuan Yang Wenzeng Duan Shuwen Gong Zechun Xue Yifa Chen 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,9:0
13Persymmetric adaptive polarimetric detection of subspace range-spread targets in compound Gaussian sea clutter显示文摘This paper focuses on the adaptive detection of range and Doppler dual-spread targets in non-homogeneous and nonGaussian sea clutter.The sea clutter from two polarimetric channels is modeled as a compound-Gaussian model with different parameters,and the target is modeled as a subspace rangespread target model.The persymmetric structure is used to model the clutter covariance matrix,in order to reduce the reliance on secondary data of the designed detectors.Three adaptive polarimetric persymmetric detectors are designed based on the generalized likelihood ratio test(GLRT),Rao test,and Wald test.All the proposed detectors have constant falsealarm rate property with respect to the clutter texture,the speckle covariance matrix.Experimental results on simulated and measured data show that three adaptive detectors outperform the competitors in different clutter environments,and the proposed GLRT detector has the best detection performance under different parameters.XU Shuwen HAO Yifan WANG Zhuo XUE Jian 2024Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2024,35,1:0
14Novel Sc-doped Bi_(3)TiNbO_(9) ferroelectric nanofibers prepared by electrospinning for visible-light photocatalysis显示文摘In this work,a novel Sc-doped Bi_(3)TiNbO_(9) ferroelectric nanofiber was first prepared by electrospinning.The nanofibers are approximately 100 nm level in diameter.The photocatalytic activity analysis reveals that the Bi_(3)TiNbO_(9) nanofibers synthesized by electrospinning are superior to powders prepared by the solid-state method,which is mainly attributed to the high specific surface area and high surface activity of the nanofibers.In addition,doping Sc can reduce the band gap of Bi_(3)TiNbO_(9) and further improve the photocatalytic efficiency.Bi_(3)TiNbO_(9) nanofibers containing 5 mol%Sc have the highest photocatalytic activity,which can degrade 98.55%of RhB under 405 nm light irradiation for 120 min.In addition,the catalytic mechanism of the catalyst was obtained by scavenger tests,active species capture tests and band structure analyses.After three cycles of photocatalytic experiment,the degradation rate is decreased by only 2.42%,proving that the nanofibers catalyst has excellent stability.This work provides good prospects for the practical application of electrospinning technology in the field of photocatalysis.Zhixiong Song Shuwen Yu Kaixian Wang Zhengming Jiang Liyan Xue Fan Yang 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,3:0

16Effects of two strategies on afterglow behavior of Lu_(2)O_(3):Eu single crystal scintillator:Co-doping with Pr^(3+)and solid solution with Sc_(2)O_(3)显示文摘In this paper,effect of two strategies on afterglow behavior of Lu_(2)O_(3):Eu single crystal scintillato r,Pr^(3+)codoping and solid solution with Sc_(2)O_(3),were studied systematically.Two groups of Lu_(2)O_(3):5 at%Eu,x at%Pr(x=0,0.2,0.5,1,2 and 5)and(Lu1-yScy)_(2)O_(3):5 at%Eu(y=0,20 at%,50 at%and 70 at%)single crystals were grown by floating zone(FZ)method in air atmosphere.The structures of as-grown crystals were determined by X-ray diffraction(XRD).The scintillation,photoluminescence properties and carrier trap states were investigated through afterglow,X-ray excitation luminescence(XEL),transmittance,photoluminescence excitation(PLE)and photoluminescence(PL),PL decay and thermal stimulated luminescence(TSL)curves.It is found that with the increase of Pr^(3+)concentration,the afterglow level of the system decreases at the expense of scintillation luminescence efficiency.Meanwhile,although Sc_(2)O_(3):Eu presents much lower afterglow intensity than Lu_(2)O_(3):Eu,the addition of Sc_(2)O_(3)will just increase the afterglow level of the(Lu1-yScy)_(2)O_(3):5 at%Eu single crystal system.Possible mechanisms for above phenomena are discussed based on experimental results.Zhongjun Xue Dongzhou Ding Yating Sima Zuyao Zhou Hanrui Dong Shuwen Zhao He Feng 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,5:0

18Robust asymmetric Cherenkov radiation in tilted anisotropic medium显示文摘Cherenkov radiation(CR)is available for a wide variety of terahertz(THz)radiation sources,but its efficiency is deeply affected by intrinsic losses.We find that if the tilted angle(α)of anisotropic material and radiation angle(θ)meet the condition ofθ+α=π/2,the intensity of radiation fields for the charged particle bunch(CPB)moving from left to right cannot be influenced by intrinsic losses,which means long-distance radiation can be achieved.Furthermore,we observe an asymmetric CR when the CPB moves from the opposite direction.In addition,we select natural van der Waals(vd W)materialα-MoO3as an example,further confirming that the radiation field can reach the far field and the asymmetric CR radiation can also be observed.These wonderful properties with long-distance radiation will extend the application of CR to a certain extent for future design and fabrication.Shuwen Xue Yadong Xu Linkang Han Zhi Ning Chen Qiaoliang Bao Shan Zhu Huanyang Chen 2024Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2024,67,1:0
19Improved track-before-detect method for detecting range-spread targets in generalized Pareto clutter显示文摘Dear editor, High-resolution radars demonstrate a good targetdetection performance, especially for weak targets such as periscopes and small boats. Methods for adaptive detection employed by high-resolution maritime radars usually consider range-spread targets and non-Gaussian sea-clutter. In this case, the energy of a range-spread target at each occupied cell should be integrated along the range dimension. On the other hand, non-Gaussian sea clutter may contain discrete sea spikes that look similar to the targets. Due to their long duration and high power, sea spikes can cause a high probability of false alarms (PFA).
