| 1 | Pathogenic effects of biofilm with chronic pseudomonas aeruginosa lung infection in rats显示文摘Objective:To establish an animal model of P.aeruginosa biofilm associated with chronic pulmonary infection and investigate the pathogenic effects of biofilm.Methods:Experiments in vitro,measuring the MICS,MBCS of levofloxacin(LFX),ceftazidime(CAZ)in PAO579 in alginate beads and planktonic PAO579.Rats were challenged with 0.1 ml of PAO579(109CFU/ml)in alginate beads or 0.1 ml of planktonic PAO579(109 CFU/ml),3,7,14 days after challenging,bacteriological,pathological features were observed.Results:The MICS,MBCS of LFX,CAZ in PAO579 in alginate beads were higher than those in planktonic PAO579 in vitro.CFU/lung in alginate beads group was significantly higher than that in planktonic bacteria group(P = 0.002,P = 0.004,P = 0.002,respectively);macroscopic lung pathology and the inflammation in alginate beads group were significantly more severe compared to those in planktonic bacteria group in vivo.Conclusion:P.aeruginosa biofilm protected bacterium from killing of antibiotics and might mediate the host immune damage in the lung tissue and made bacterium evade the host immune defense. | Ping Yan Yiqiang Chen Zhijun Song Hong Wu Jinliang Kong Xuejun Qin | 2008 | Journal of Nanjing Medical University2008,22,1: | 7 |

It is found that the microcrystalline magnesite has uniformly distributed grains,mostly in the range of 2-4 μm,and the MgO content is47. 80%. In fused magnesia,the druses are colorless transparent periclase megacrysts without impurity,while the crust sand is white,with a high MgO content up to97%-99%. The periclase crystals are big,appearing as faced and step-growth morphology. | 7 | A comparison of lightwand and laryngoscopic intubation techniques in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy显示文摘Objective:To assess the effects of lightwand and laryngoscopic intubation techniques in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). Methods:300 ASA physical status I and II patients,undergoing LC,were randomly assigned to two groups,with 150 cases in each group. Patients in the LS group underwent endotracheal intubation using a standard direct-suspension laryngoscopic technique. Patients in the LW group were intubated by using transillumination with a lightwand. Mean arterial pressure and heart rate were recorded before induction,and at 1,3 and 5 min after intubation. The incidence and of sore throat,hoarseness,and dysphagia was assessed twenty-four hours after surgery. Results:This study demonstrated no clinically significant difference in cardiovascular variables between the two techniques. Patients had a significantly lower incidence of sore throat,hoarseness,and dysphagia when the lightwand was used for intubation. Conclusion:This study suggests that lightwand intubation may decrease the incidence of postoperative sore throat,hoarseness,and dysphagia,thereby potentially increasing satisfaction in surgical patients. Methods: Twenty out-patients without immune disease were selected and their peripheral blood was collected. Then the whole blood of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were pretreated with different concentration of morphine, fentanyl and tramadol for 24 h. The level of CD4+IFN-γ+IL-2+/CD4+IL-4+IL-10+ was analyzed by three-color flow cytometry, and the CD4+CCR5+ and CD4+CCR3+ cells were counted to observe the imbalance of Th2/Th2. Results: The number of Th2 increased significantly and the ratio of Th2/Th2 decreased dramatically compared with the control group, and there was a dose-dependent fashion in all drugs. Due to the dispersion of the optical material and the phase accumulation of the light field at different wavelengths, chromatic aberration is inevitable in commercial optical lens. When taking pictures by lenses with severe chromatic aberration, the images will look blurred or noticeably colored edges (red, green, blue) around the objects, especially in high-contrast situations. Thus, achromatism, correction of the chromatic aberration, is extremely important in broadband optical applications. There are mainly two approaches in the correction of the chromatic aberration in existing optical systems: combining the refractive lenses with different dispersions or introducing the diffractive optical elements.
