| 1 | Properties of Functionalized Graphene/Room Temperature Vulcanized Silicone Rubber Composites Prepared by an In-situ Reduction Method显示文摘Functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) was prepared by treating graphene oxide with γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (KH-550) before the mixture was dispersed into α, ω-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane to get room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubber composites by solution casting. The cured composites were then reduced with hydrazine hydrate to obtain functionalized graphene (FG)/RTV silicone rubber composites. The structures of FGO and the resultant composites were characterized by atomic force microscopy, FT-IR spectra and X-ray diffraction. KH-550 was found to be grafted onto graphene sheets, leading to an increased interlayer spacing. Significant improvements in thermal and mechanical properties were obtained. Both the FGO/RTV silicone rubber composite contain 1.0 wt% of FGO, and its reduced product showed an increase of one-step weight loss temperature with 61 ℃ and 133 ℃ higher than that of pure silicone rubber. | 2 | Hyperuricemia Accompanied with Changes in the Retinal Microcirculation in a Chinese High-risk Population for Diabetes显示文摘Objective To investigate the association of retinal vascular calibers with hyperuricemia in a middle‐aged and elderly population. Methods A cross‐sectional design was applied in this study and 869 participants aged ≥40 years from a high‐risk group for diabetes were recruited. All participants received the anthropometrical measurements and laboratory tests. Retinal arteriolar and venular caliber of the participants were measured with a semi‐automated system. Hyperuricemia was defined as a serum uric acid level >420 μmol/L in men and >360 μmol/L in women. Linear regression models were used to assess the association of hyperuricemia with retinal vascular calibers. These models were additionally adjusted for age, central obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, weekly activity, smoking status, and education. Results Among the 869 participants, 133 (15.3%) suffered from hyperuricemia. The crude mean serum uric acid level was 312.3 μmol/L (Standard Deviation 79.5); mean concentration was 355.0 μmol/L (SD 75.5) in male participants, and 288.0 μmol/L (SD 71.1) in female participants (age‐adjusted difference 58.1 μmol/L, 95% Confidence Internal 48.5, 67.6). After adjusting for additional covariates, male participants with hyperuricemia had 3.77 μm (95% CI ‐0.46, 8.00) smaller arteriolar caliber and 6.20 μm (95% CI 0.36, 12.04) larger venule than those without hyperuricemia; the corresponding numbers among female participants were 1.57 μm (95% CI ‐1.07, 4.21) for retinal arteriolar caliber and 2.28 μm (95% CI ‐1.72, 6.27) for retinal venular caliber. Conclusion Hyperuricemia was associated with smaller retinal arteriolar caliber and larger venular caliber mainly in male participants in this study. | YUAN YuanZhi M. | 3 | Effect of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus subtilis on fermentation, dynamics of bacterial community and their functional shifts of whole-plant corn silage显示文摘Background:Bacillus amyloliquefaciens(BA)and Bacillus subtilis(BS)are usually used as feed supplements directly or bacterial inoculants in biological feeds for animals.However,few research have reported the effects of BA and BS on fermentation characteristics and bacterial community successions of whole-plant corn silage during ensiling.If the BA and BS inoculants have positive effects on silages,then they could not only improve fermentation characteristics,but also deliver BA or BS viable cells to ruminants,which would play its probiotic effect.Therefore,the objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of BA and BS on the fermentation,chemical characteristics,bacterial community and their metabolic pathway of whole-plant corn silage.Results:Freshly chopped whole-plant corn was inoculated without or with BA and BS,respectively,and ensiled for1,3,7,14 and 60 d.Results showed that BA and BS inoculations increased lactic acid concentrations of whole-plant corn silages compared with control,and BA inoculation decreased acetic acid concentrations,whereas BS inoculation decreased fiber contents and increased crude protein(CP)content.Higher water-soluble carbohydrate contents and lower starch contents were observed in BA-and BS-inoculated silages compared with that in control.The decreased CP content and increased non-protein nitrogen content were observed in BA-inoculated silage,which was consistent with the higher amino acid metabolism abundances observed in BA-inoculated silage.In addition,it was noteworthy that BA and BS inoculations increased the metabolism of cofactors and vitamins,and decreased the relative abundances of drug resistance:antimicrobial pathways.We also found that the bacterial metabolism pathways were clearly separated into three clusters based on the ensiling times of whole-plant corn silage in the present study.There were no significant differences in bacterial community compositions among the three groups during ensiling.However,BA and BS inoculations decreased the relative abundances of undesirable bacteria such as Acetobacter and Acinetobacter.Conclusion:Our findings suggested that the BS strain was more suitable as silage inoculants than the BA strain in whole-plant corn silage in this study. | Jie Bai Marcia Franco Zitong Ding Lin Hao Wencan Ke Musen Wang Dongmei Xie Ziqian Li Yixin Zhang Lin Ai Xusheng Guo | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,3: | 5 |
| 4 | Efficient lung cancer-targeted drug delivery via a nanoparticle/MSC system显示文摘Low targeting efficiency limits the applications of nanoparticles in cancer therapy. The fact that mesenchymal stem cells(MSC) trapped in the lung after systemic infusion is a disadvantage for cell therapy purposes. Here, we utilized MSC as lung cancer-targeted drug delivery vehicles by loading nanoparticles(NP)with anti-cancer drug. MSC showed a higher drug intake capacity than fibroblasts. In addition, MSC showed predominant lung trapping in both rabbit and monkey. IR-780 dye, a fluorescent probe used to represent docetaxel(DTX) in NP, delivered via MSC accumulated in the lung. Both in vitro MSC/A549 cell experiments and in vivo MSC/lung cancer experiments validated the intercellular transportation of NP between MSC and cancer cells. In vivo assays showed that the MSC/NP/DTX drug delivery system exerted primary tumor inhibition efficiency similar to that of a NP/DTX drug system. | 5 | Transcriptome and Metabolome Analyses of Sea Cucumbers Apostichopus japonicus in Southern China During the Summer Aestivation Period显示文摘Aestivation is a common strategy of sea cucumbers(Apostichopus japonicus)in response to high-temperature conditions.Previous studies have individually investigated the immune and physiological alterations at the aestivation stage.However,these studies have not evaluated the relationship between immunity and physiology.In this study,we explored the transcriptome and metabolome of A.japonicus during the aestivation stage to study the relationship.The transcriptome analysis of dormant(aestivation)and revived A.japonicus generated 2368 differentially expressed genes,including 927 downregulated genes and 1441 upregulated genes.Based on Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analyses,the downregulated genes in the dormant group were found to be involved in DNA replication,RNA metabolic process,and protein metabolism,which results in the inhibition of motility,skeletal development,neural activity,cell proliferation,and development of A.japonicus.In contrast,the upregulated genes were found to be associated with fatty acid metabolism,carbohydrate hydrolysis,and phagocytosis.In the metabolome analysis,the downregulated metabolites were found to be associated with fatty acid metabolism,starch and sucrose metabolism,and TCA cycle.This indicates that dormant sea cucumbers consume reserved carbohydrates and fatty acids to maintain low levels of energy supply.The protein-protein interaction network analysis further revealed that carbohydrate hydrolysis promoted phagocytosis activity in the dormant group.This study provides new insights into potential molecular mechanisms of sea cucumber survival in high-temperature conditions,which is critical in aquaculture of sea cucumbers. | YANG Qiuhua ZHANG Xusheng LU Zhen HUANG Ruifang TRAN Ngoc Tuan WU Jianshao YANG Fuyuan GE Hui ZHONG Chenhui SUN Qian ZHOU Chen LIN Qi | 2021 | Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,1: | 2 |

| 8 | Low-Complexity Detection and Decoding Scheme for LDPC-Coded MLC NAND Flash Memory显示文摘With the development of manufacture technology, the multi-level cell(MLC)technique dramatically increases the storage density of NAND flash memory. As the result,cell-to-cell interference(CCI) becomes more serious and hence causes an increase in the raw bit error rate of data stored in the cells.Recently, low-density parity-check(LDPC)codes have appeared to be a promising solution to combat the interference of MLC NAND flash memory. However, the decoding complexity of the sum-product algorithm(SPA) is extremely high. In this paper, to improve the accuracy of the log likelihood ratio(LLR) information of each bit in each NAND flash memory cell, we adopt a non-uniform detection(N-UD) which uses the average maximum mutual information to determine the value of the soft-decision reference voltages.Furthermore, with an aim to reduce the decoding complexity and improve the decoding performance, we propose a modified soft reliabilitybased iterative majority-logic decoding(MSRBI-MLGD) algorithm, which uses a non-uniform quantizer based on power function to decode LDPC codes. | 18 | Regulating local charges of atomically dispersed Moδ+ sites by nitrogen coordination on cobalt nanosheets to trigger water dissociation for boosted hydrogen evolution in alkaline media显示文摘Now,Pt-based materials are still the best catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Nevertheless,the scarcity of Pt makes it impossible for the large-scale applications in industry.Although cobalt is taken as an excellent HER catalyst due to its suitable H*binding,its alkali HER catalytic property need to be improved because of the sluggish water dissociation kinetics.In this work,nitrogen with small atomic radius and metallophilicity is employed to adjust local charges of atomically dispersed Mo^(δ+)sites on Co nanosheets to trigger water dissociation.Theoretical calculations suggest that the energy barrier of water dissociation can be effectively reduced by introducing nitrogen coordinated Mo^(δ+)sites.To realize this speculation,atomically dispersed Mo^(δ+)sites with nitrogen coordination of Mo(N)/Co were prepared via reconstruction of CoMoO_(4).High angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADF-STEM)and X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS)demonstrate the coordination of N atoms with atomically dispersed Mo atoms,leading to the local charges of atomically dispersed Mo^(δ+)sites in Mo(N)/Co.The measurement from ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(AP-XPS)reveals that the Mo^(δ+)sites promote the adsorption and activation of water molecule.Therefore,the Mo(N)/Co exhibits an excellent activity,which need only an overpotential of 39 mV to reach the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2).The proposed strategy provides an advance pathway to design and boost alkaline HER activity at the atomic-level. | Maoqi Cao Kang Liu Yao Song Chao Ma Yiyang Lin Huangjingwei Li Kejun Chen Junwei Fu Hongmei Li Jun Luo Yida Zhang Xusheng Zheng Junhua Hu Min Liu | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,9: | 0 |
| 19 | Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with Western Medicine on blood lipid levels and inflammatory factors in patients with angina pectoris in coronary heart disease identified as intermingled phlegm and blood stasis syndrome:a network Meta-anal显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions for resolving phlegm in the treatment of angina pectoris of phlegmstasis coronary heart disease by a network Meta-analysis.METHODS:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on clinical efficacy of CHD angina pectoris with interaction of phlegm and blood stasis were searched in PubMed,Springer,the Cochrane Library and Chinese-language databases China National Knowledge Infrastructure,China Science and Technology Journal Database,and Wanfang Data from their inception to December 2021.Literature was screened and literature bias risk was assessed by RevMan5.4 software.The overall response rate,the duration of angina attack,the levels of serum lipids such as total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),and expression of hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)were selected as outcome indicators for network Meta-analysis and mapped using Stata15.1 software.RESULTS:Totally,26 RCTs were included,involving 2098 participants.There were 6 TCM formulas with the effects of dispelling phlegm and removing blood stasis.Taking conventional Western Medicine as the common intervention measures,the results showed that the overall response improvement rate from high to low was displayed as modified Xiaoxianxiong decoction(小陷胸汤,MXD),Danlou tablet(丹蒌片,DT),modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction(瓜蒌薤白半夏汤,MGXBD),modified Wendan decoction(温胆汤,MWD),modified Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi decoction(枳实薤白桂枝汤,MZXGD),and modified Erchen decoction(二陈汤,MED).The sequence of angina attack duration improvement from high to low was MZXGD,MGXBD,DT,MWD,MXD.The sequence of TC improvement from high to low was MZXGD,MED,DT,and MGXBD.Sequence of improving TG from high to low was MED,MZXGD,MGXBD,and DT.For LDL-C improvement,the effect from good to poor was MZXGD,MGXBD,DT,and MED.With regard to HDL-C improvement,the effect was ranked as MED,MZXGD,MGXBD,and DT from good to poor.hs-CRP expression from high to low was MZXGD,MXD,MED,MWD,and MGXBD.CONCLUSION:TCM formula with the effects of dispelling phlegm and removing blood stasis combined with conventional Western Medicine has obvious advantages in treating CHD angina pectoris with interaction of phlegm and blood stasis.MZXGD has great potential in increasing the overall response rate,reducing Duration of angina attack improving blood lipids,and reducing inflammatory factors.However,due to the limitations of extant studies,the conclusions of this study need to be confirmed by numerous reasonably-designed RCTs. | WANG Chao WU Qiong LI Ping WANG Zhigang LOU Xusheng LI Yuanyuan ZHANG Lin | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4: | 0 |
