3A Review on Graphene-Based Gas/Vapor Sensors with Unique Properties and Potential Applications显示文摘Graphene-based gas/vapor sensors have attracted much attention in recent years due to their variety of structures, unique sensing performances, room-temperature working conditions, and tremendous application prospects, etc.Herein, we summarize recent advantages in graphene preparation, sensor construction, and sensing properties of various graphene-based gas/vapor sensors, such as NH_3, NO_2, H_2, CO, SO_2, H_2S, as well as vapor of volatile organic compounds.The detection mechanisms pertaining to various gases are also discussed. In conclusion part, some existing problems which may hinder the sensor applications are presented. 4High-resolution climate variability of southwest China during 57―70 ka reflected in a stalagmite δ^(18)O record from Xinya Cave显示文摘A 26-cm-long stalagmite (XY2) from Xinya Cave in northeastern Chongqing of China has been ICP-MS 230Th/U dated, showing a depositional hiatus at 2.3 cm depth from the top. The growth of the 2.3―26 cm interval determined by four dates was between 57 ka and 70 ka, with a linear growth rate of 0.023 mm/a. We have analyzed 190 samples for δ 18O and δ 13C, mostly in the 2.3―26 cm part. The δ 18O and δ 13C values between 57 ka and 70 ka reveal decadal-to-centennial climatic variability during the glacial in-terval of Marine Isotope Stage 4 (MIS4), exhibiting much higher resolution than that of the published Hulu and Dongge records during this interval. Speleothem δ 18O in eastern China, including our study area can be used as a proxy of summer monsoon strength, with lighter values pointing to stronger summer monsoon and higher precipitation, and vice versa. Two decreases in the δ 18O signature of XY2 record around 59.5 and 64.5 Ka are argued to correspond to the Dansgaard-Oeschger (D-O) events 17 and 18 respectively. The Heinrich event 6 (H6) can be identified in the record as a heavy δ 18O peak around 60 ka, indicating significant weakening of the monsoon in Chongqing during the cold period. The XY2 δ 18O record shows very rapid change toward to the interstadial condition of the D-O event, but more gradual change toward to the cold stadial condition. This phenomenon found in the Greenland ice core records is rarely observed so clearly in previously published speleothem records. According to SPECMAP δ 18O record, the glacial maximum of MIS 4 was around 64.5 ka with the boundary of MIS 3/4 around 60 ka. Unlike the marine record, the speleothem record of XY2, China, exhibits much high fre-quency variations without an apparent glacial maximum during MIS 4. However, the timing of MIS 3/4 boundary seems to be around 60 ka when the H6 terminated, in agreement with the marine chronology. 5Folate receptor-mediated boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles as potential delivery vehicles for boron neutron capture therapy of nonfunctional pituitary adenomas显示文摘Invasive nonfunctional pituitary adenomas(NFPAs) are difficult to completely resect and often develop tumor recurrence after initial surgery.Currently,no medications are clinically effective in the control of NFPA.Although radiation therapy and radiosurgery are useful to prevent tumor regrowth,they are frequently withheld because of severe complications.Boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT) is a binary radiotherapy that selectively and maximally damages tumor cells without harming the surrounding normal tissue.Folate receptor(FR)-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles is a novel boron delivery agent that can be selectively taken up by FR-expressing cells via FR-mediated endocytosis.In this study,FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles were selectively taken up by NFPAs cells expressing FR but not other types of non-FR expressing pituitary adenomas.After incubation with boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles and following irradiation with thermal neutrons,the cell viability of NFPAs was significantly decreased,while apoptotic cells were simultaneously increased.However,cells administered the same dose of FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles without neutron irradiation or received the same neutron irradiation alone did not show significant decrease in cell viability or increase in apoptotic cells.The expression of Bcl-2 was down-regulated and the expression of Bax was up-regulated in NFPAs after treatment with FR-mediated BNCT.In conclusion,FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles may be an ideal delivery system of boron to NFPAs cells for BNCT.Furthermore,our study also provides a novel insight into therapeutic strategies for invasive NFPA refractory to conventional therapy,while exploring these new applications of BNCT for tumors,especially benign tumors.DAI CongXin CAI Feng HWANG Kuo Chu ZHOU YongMao ZHANG ZiZhu LIU XiaoHai MA SiHai YANG YaKun YAO Yong FENG Ming BAO XinJie LI GuiLin WEI JunJi JIAO YongHui WEI ZhenQing MA WenBin WANG RenZhi 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,2:8
6OpenKG Chain:A Blockchain Infrastructure for Open Knowledge Graphs显示文摘The early concept of knowledge graph originates from the idea of the semantic Web,which aims at using structured graphs to model the knowledge of the world and record the relationships that exist between things.Currently publishing knowledge bases as open data on the Web has gained significant attention.In China,Chinese Information Processing Society of China(CIPS)launched the OpenKG in 2015 to foster the development of Chinese Open Knowledge Graphs.Unlike existing open knowledge-based programs,OpenKG chain is envisioned as a blockchain-based open knowledge infrastructure.This article introduces the first attempt at the implementation of sharing knowledge graphs on OpenKG chain,a blockchain-based trust network.We have completed the test of the underlying blockchain platform,and the on-chain test of OpenKG’s data set and tool set sharing as well as fine-grained knowledge crowdsourcing at the triple level.We have also proposed novel definitions:K-Point and OpenKG Token,which can be considered to be a measurement of knowledge value and user value.1,033 knowledge contributors have been involved in two months of testing on the blockchain,and the cumulative number of on-chain recordings triggered by real knowledge consumers has reached 550,000 with an average daily peak value of more than 10,000.For the first time,we have tested and realized on-chain sharing of knowledge at entity/triple granularity level.At present,all operations on the data sets and tool sets at OpenKG.CN,as well as the triplets at OpenBase,are recorded on the chain,and corresponding value will also be generated and assigned in a trusted mode.Via this effort,OpenKG chain looks forward to providing a more credible and traceable knowledge-sharing platform for the knowledge graph community.Huajun Chen Ning Hu Guilin Qi Haofen Wang Zhen Bi Jie Li Fan Yang 2021Data Intelligence2021,3,2:7
7CAD/CAE OF THE WORKING CHARACTERISTICS OF A NEW TYPE OF FLUID COUPLING SHOCK ABSORBER显示文摘For purpose of simulation of the working characteristics of a new type of fluid coupling shock absorber for vibration protection of sensitive equipment, a physical model is presented by analyzing the internal fluid dynamic phenomenon with respect to the coupling shock absorber and implemented in MATLAB software package. Using the model it is possible to evaluate the importance of different factors for design of the shock absorber. In the meantime, the key-model machine is designed for coupling dynamic test. Comparisons with experimental results confirm the validity of the model. 8Characteristics of heavy metals in soils under different land use in a typical karst area, Southwest China显示文摘This study investigated the distribution of six pollutant elements(Cr, Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, and As), and their relationship to soil organic carbon(SOC) in five soil profiles in the Puding area. Results show SOC content decreased exponentially to the depth of soil profiles; the vertical distribution patterns of SOC in soil profiles were partially controlled by land use. The concentrations of these pollutant elements in most soils were lower than background values, indicating that the local soil was less likely to be contaminated by foreign inputs. Geo-accumulation index values of these elements in most soil samples were less than 1, suggesting that the soil of this area may not be polluted. The concentrations of Cr, Cu, As, and Zn in soils from all land use types were significantly negatively correlated with SOC contents. 9Fractional-order visco-plastic constitutive model for uniaxial ratcheting behaviors显示文摘This paper proposes a novel unified visco-plastic constitutive model for uniaxial ratcheting behaviors. The cyclic deformation of the material presents remarkable time-dependence and history memory phenomena. The fractional(fractional-order)derivative is an efficient tool for modeling these phenomena. Therefore, we develop a cyclic fractional-order unified visco-plastic(FVP) constitutive model. Specifically, within the framework of the cyclic elasto-plastic theory, the fractional derivative is used to describe the accumulated plastic strain rate and nonlinear kinematic hardening rule based on the Ohno-Abdel-Karim model. Moreover, a new radial return method for the back stress is developed to describe the unclosed hysteresis loops of the stress-strain properly.The capacity of the FVP model used to predict the cyclic deformation of the SS304 stainless steel is verified through a comparison with the corresponding experimental data found in the literature(KANG, G. 11Enrichment and Release of Rare Earth Elements during Weathering of Sedimentary Rocks in Wujiang Catchments显示文摘Thirteen weathering profiles of sedimentary rocks such as limestone, dolomitic limestone, dolomite, silicalite, black shale and purple sandrock from Wujiang catchments were selected for study on enrichment and release behavior of rare earth elements (REE) during weathering, and in its impact on plant growth and riverine REE distribution in the catchments with methods of hierachical cluster analysis and mass balance calculation in order to set a basis for riverine material source research and agricultural production. The results show that the enrichment degree of REE in calcareous soils from the Wujiang catchments is much higher than that of limestone, yellow soil, upper continental crust (UCC), China soil (CS) and world soil (WS). The ability of enrichment and release of REE is partly controlled by distribution of REE in bedrocks, contents and adsorption ability of organic matters, clay minerals and Fe-oxides/hydroxides in weathering profiles. The REE released from weathering of carbonate rocks and clastic rocks can be absorbed and utilized by local plants. 12Effects of slope position and land use on the stability of aggregateassociated organic carbon in calcareous soils显示文摘Topography and land use affect soil organic carbon(SOC) storage, stabilization, and turnover, through several biogeochemical processes. This study investigated the aggregate composition and SOC content of bulk soils and aggregates at different slope positions under different land uses in a typical karst catchment of southwestern China. Our results show that the proportion of macro-aggregates and the SOC content of bulk soils and aggregates at different slope positions decreased from the upper to the lower slope. The SOC content generally increased with an increase in the mean weight diameter and proportion of macro-aggregates under different land uses. Our results indicate that macro-aggregates in forest and grassland soils make a greater contribution to both aggregate composition and SOC content than that in arable land soils. 13Isothermal kinetic analysis on reduction of solid/liquid wustite by hydrogen显示文摘Isothermal thermogravimetric analysis was used to study the reduction process of solid/liquid wustite by hydrogen.Results show that wustite in both states can be reduced entirely at all temperatures.The thermal and kinetic conditions for the hydrogen reduction of molten phases are better than those when the reactants and products are in the solid state,with a higher reaction rate.The hydrogen reduction of different wustite phases fits the Mampel Power model(power exponent n=1/2)well,and this model is independent of the phase state.The average apparent activation energies of the reduction process calculated by the iso-conversional method are 5.85 kJ·mol^(−1) and 104.74 kJ·mol^(−1),when both reactants and products are in the solid state and the molten state,respectively.These values generally agree with those calculated by the model fitting method.Jianliang Zhang Yang Li Zhengjian Liu Tengfei Wang Yaozu Wang Kejiang Li Guilin Wang Tao Xu Yong Zhang 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,10:2
14WiSH:WiFi-Based Real-Time Human Detection显示文摘Sensorless sensing using wireless signals has been rapidly conceptualized and developed recently. Among numerous applications of WiFi-based sensing, human presence detection acts as a primary and fundamental function to boost applications in practice. Many complicated approaches have been proposed to achieve high detection accuracy, but they frequently omit various practical constraints such as real-time capability, computation efficiency, sampling rates, deployment efforts, etc. A practical detection system that works in realworld applicati ons is lacki ng. In this paper, we design and implement WiSH, a real-time system for con tactless human detection that is applicable for whole-day usage. WiSH employs lightweight yet effective methods and thus enables detection under practical conditions even on resource-limited devices with low signal sampling rates. We deploy WiSH on commodity desktops and customized tiny no des in different everyday scenarios. The experimental results dem on strate the superior performance of WiSH, which has a detection accuracy of >98% using a sampling rate of 20 Hz with an average detection delay of merely 1.5 s. 15Numerically quantifying the relative importance of topography and buoyancy in driving groundwater flow显示文摘Both topography and buoyancy can drive groundwater flow;however,the interactions between them are still poorly understood.In this paper,the authors conduct numerical simulations of variable-density fluid flow and heat transport to quantify their relative importance.The finite element modeling experiments on a 2-D conceptual model reveal that the pattern of groundwater flow depends largely upon the relative magnitude of the flow rate due to topography alone and the flow rate due to buoyancy alone.When fluid velocity due to topography is greater than that due to buoyancy at large water table gradients,topography-driven 'forced convection' overwhelms buoyancy-driven 'free convection'.When flow velocity due to buoyancy is greater than that due to topography at small water table gradients,mixed free and forced convection takes place.In this case,free convection becomes dominant,but topography-driven flow still plays an important role since it pushes the free convection cells to migrate laterally in the downhill direction.Consequently,hydrothermal fluid flow remains changing periodically with time and no steady state can be reached.The presence of a low-permeability layer near the surface helps eliminate the topography effect on the underlying free convection.YANG JianWen 1,2,FENG ZuoHai 1,LUO XianRong 1 & CHEN YuanRong 1 1 Faculty of Earth Sciences,Guilin University of Technology,Guilin 541004,China 2 Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences,University of Windsor,Windsor,Ontario,N9B 3P4,Canada 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1:2
