| 1 | Nutritional composition and antioxidant activity of twenty mung bean cultivars in China显示文摘Interest in mung bean(Vigna radiata L.) as a functional food is growing; however, studies on the nutritional composition of major mung bean cultivars planted in China are limited.Twenty Chinese mung bean cultivars were collected and their nutritional compositions including starch, fat, protein, and phytochemicals were analyzed. The cultivars were found to have a high amount of resistant starch, accounting for 16.1%–22.3% of total starch, and balanced amino acid constitutions. Palmitic acid and linoleic acid were the two dominant fatty acids, accounting for respectively 32.4% and 36.1% of all of the assayed fatty acids. Four bound phenolic acids(syringic, caffeic, p-coumaric, and ferulic acids) and two free phenolic acids(caffeic and ferulic acids) were identified by HPLC. The antioxidant activity of 70%ethanol extracts from the 20 mung bean cultivars was evaluated. Their DPPH and ABTS+free-radical-scavenging capacity ranged from 28.13 ± 2.24 to 35.68 ± 0.71 μmol g-1and from3.82 ± 0.25 to 13.44 ± 1.76 μmol g-1, respectively. Significant positive correlations of ABTS+free-radical-scavenging capacity with total phenolic acids and total flavonoid contents were observed. | 4 | Would integrated Western and traditional Chinese medicine have more benefits for stroke rehabilitation? A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background Stroke is a major cause of death or long-term disability worldwide.Many patients with stroke receive integrative therapy consisting of Western medicine(WM)and routine rehabilitation in conjunction with Chinese medicine(CM),such as acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.However,there is no available evidence on the effectiveness of the combined use of WM and CM interventions in stroke rehabilitation.Aims The purpose of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the results of all individual studies to assess the combined use of CM and WM in stroke rehabilitation compared with WM only.Methods The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines were followed.MEDLINE,EMBASE,Cochrane and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)were searched.The included outcomes were dependency,motor function,depression and swallowing function.Subgroup analysis was performed,and publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.Summary of review 58 studies and 6339 patients were included in the meta-analysis.Subgroup analysis revealed that combined therapy comprising both acupuncture and WM had a superior effect on improving dependency and swallowing function compared with standard WM therapy alone.Potential superiority of combined therapy comprising CM and WM in improving depression compared with standard WM therapy was also found.Conclusions Our results indicate that the combined use of CM and WM could be more efficacious in stroke rehabilitation compared with the use of WM therapy alone.However,most studies were short in duration(2 to 4 weeks)and prone to different types of biases,which prevents making any conclusion regarding the long-term effects and raises concerns regarding true efficacy in context of high likelihood of Hawthorn bias.So,more randomised controlled trials with more rigorous design and longer duration of treatment and follow-up need to be conducted to compare WM alone versus WM and CM combined. | Linda LD Zhong Ya Zheng Alexander Y Lau Norman Wong Liang Yao Xingyao Wu Tengteng Shao Zhenxing Lu Huijuan Li Chun Sum Yuen Jianwen Guo Suzanne Lo Janita Chau Kam Wa Chan Bacon Fung Leung Ng Zhaoxiang Bian Edwin Chau-leung Yu | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,1: | 7 |

| 6 | Rupture process of the 2015 Pishan earthquake from joint inversion of InSAR, teleseismic data and GPS显示文摘An earthquake of Mw6.4 occurred in Pishan County in Xinjiang Province, northwestern Tibetan Plateau, on July 3,2015. The epicenter was located on an active blind thrust system located at the northern margin of the Western Kunlun Mountain Orogenic Belt southwest of the Tarim Basin. We constructed a shovel-shaped fault model based on the layered-crust model with reference to the seismic reflection profile, and obtained the rupture process of the earthquake from the joint inversion of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR) measurements, far-field waveform data, and Global Positioning System(GPS) data. The results show that the seismic fault dips southward with a strike of 109°, and the rupture direction was essentially northward. The fault plane rupture distribution is concentrated, with a maximum recorded slip of 73 cm. The main features of the fault are as follows: low inclination angle(25°–10°), thrust slip at a depth of 9–13 km, rupture propagation time of about 12 s, no significant slip in soft or hard sedimentary layers at 0–4 km depth and propagation from the initial rupture point to the surrounding area with no obvious directionality. The InSAR time-series analysis method is used to determine the deformation rate in the source region within 2 years after the earthquake, and the maximum value is ~17 mm yr-1 in the radar line-of-sight direction. Obvious post-earthquake deformation is evident in the hanging wall, with a similar trend to the coseismic displacement field. These results suggest that the Pishan earthquake has not completely released the accumulated energy of the region, given that the multilayer fold structure above the blind fault is still in a process of slow uplift since the earthquake. | 7 | Determination of regional earthquake source parameters in wavelet domain显示文摘Investigating source parameters of small and moderate earthquakes plays an important role in seismology research. For small and moderate earthquakes, the mechanisms are usually obtained by first motion of P-Wave, surface wave spectra method in frequency-domain or the waveform inversion in time-domain, based on the regional waveform records. We applied the wavelet domain inversion method to determine mechanism of regional earthquake. Using the wavelet coefficients of different scales can give more information to constrain the inversion. We determined the mechanisms of three earthquakes occurred in California, the United States. They are consistent with the previous results (Harvard Centroid Moment Tensor and United States Geological Service). | 10 | Responses of the magnetotail plasma sheet to two interplanetary shocks:TC-1 observations显示文摘Two interplanetary shocks are examined to determine the responses of the magnetic field and plasma in the plasma sheet upon the shock impacts by using TC-1 observational data.The two shocks are observed by WIND on November 7,2004.Prior to and after the shock,the IMF is either weakly southward or northward.The responses of the plasma sheet to the two shocks are intense and much similar.When the shock interacts with the magnetosphere,the magnetic field impulsively increases 1-2 min after the geomagnetic field sudden impulse (SI) judged from the Sym-H index change,and the magnetic field line is stretched.On the other hand,all of the ion density,the ion temperature,and the velocity of ion flow in the plasma sheet increase.Interestingly,quasi-periodical oscillations of the ion flow are suddenly enhanced,and the plasma flow is basically perpendicular to the local magnetic field.The responses of the magnetic field and the plasma are nearly simultaneous.The responses in the plasma sheet are probably caused by the lateral compression due to the dynamic pressure enhancement downstream the shock when the shock propagates antisunward in the magnetosheath. | YAO Li ZUO PingBing FENG XueShang LIU ZhenXing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,6: | 2 |

| 12 | Exact local refinement using Fourier interpolation for nonuniformgrid modeling显示文摘Numerical solver using a uniform grid is popular due to its simplicity and low computational cost, but would be unfeasible in the presence of tiny structures in large-scale media. It is necessary to use a nonuniform grid, where upsampling the wavefield from the coarse grid to the fine grid is essential for reducing artifacts. In this paper, we suggest a local refinement scheme using the Fourier interpolation, which is superior to traditional interpolation methods since it is theoretically exact if the input wavefield is band limited.Traditional interpolation methods would fail at high upsampling ratios(say 50); in contrast, our scheme still works well in the same situations, and the upsampling ratio can be any positive integer. | 13 | Mesoporous silica stabilized MOF nanoreactor for highly selective semi-hydrogenation of phenylacetylene via synergistic effect of Pd and Ru single site显示文摘Selective semi-hydrogenation of phenylacetylene to styrene is a crucial step in the polystyrene industry.Although Pd-based catalysts are widely used in this reaction due to their excellent hydrogenation activity,the selectivity for styrene remains a great challenge.Herein,we designed a mesoporous silica stabilized Pd-Ru@ZIF-8(MS Pd-Ru@ZIF-8)nanoreactor with novel Pd and Ru single site synergistic catalytical system for semi-hydrogenation of phenylacetylene.The nanoreactor exhibited a superior performance,achieving 98%conversion of phenylacetylene and 96%selectivity to styrene.Turnover frequency(TOF)of nanoreactor was up to as high as 2,188 h^(−1),which was 25 times and 5 times more than the single metal species catalysts,mesoporous silica stabilized Pd@ZIF-8 nanoreactor(MS Pd@ZIF-8),and mesoporous silica stabilized Ru@ZIF-8 nanoreactor(MS Ru@ZIF-8).This catalytic activity was attributed to the synergistic effect of Pd and Ru single site anchored strongly into the framework of ZIF-8,which reduced the desorption energy of styrene and increased the hydrogenation energy barrier of styrene.Importantly,since the ordered mesoporous silica was introduced into the nanoreactor shell to stabilize ZIF-8,MS Pd-Ru@ZIF-8 showed excellent reusability and stability.After the five cycles,the catalytical activity and selectivity still remained.This work provides insights for a synergistic catalytic system based on single-site active sites for selective hydrogenation reactions. | Zhenxing Li Mingliang Hu Jiahao Liu Weiwei Wang Yanjie Li Wenbin Fan Yixuan Gong Jiasai Yao Ping Wang Miao He Yongle Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 2 |

It was found that hydrostatic pressure made their phase transition temperature Tc and the peak temperature Tm decreased, and the frequency dispersion and relaxor behavior enhanced. In these disorder systems of composite pervoskite structures, there appeared polar clusters or nanodomains. | 19 | Evidence for diurnal periodicity of earthquakes from midnight to daybreak显示文摘Previously,inadequate earthquake catalogs and the lack of method made it challenging,if not impossible,to determine the dominant period of earthquake occurrence.With the advent of densely distributed seismic stations in Japan since 2002,410642 M1.0+earthquakes have been cataloged under the mainland within30-km depth,which provide a superb dataset to identify the periodicity of earthquakes.We processed this catalog using time-frequency analyses and daily stacking,which are powerful in extracting weak periodical signal from strong random noises.We concentrated on the time sector from 0:00 to 6:00(i.e.from midnight to daybreak),which is a reliable time window for much higher detectability of weak earthquakes,since it has the lowest affects from cultural noises.We successfully observed two apparent periodicities of12-and 24-hour,which are much smaller than the fortnightly periodicity presented previously in the literature.Synthetic earth tides,after intentionally ignoring the contribution from the Moon,present similar dominant periods as the earthquakes.This may indicate that the dominant period of earthquakes is statistically associated with the Sun rather than the Moon.The daily stacking number of earthquakes using a15-minute or 1-hour interval shows a peak around 1:30,rather than usually expected 3:00 to 4:00.In addition,bigger earthquakes show more evident variations in the stacking results,and the trend is very consistent for various lower limits of earthquake magnitude from M1.0 to M4.0.These discoveries settled the disputes on the existence of the periodicity of earthquakes since 1886 and may open a window to unravel the mystery of earthquakes. | Jinlai Hao Jinhai Zhang Zhenxing Yao | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,5: | 1 |
