1Blunted nitric oxide regulation in Tibetans under high-altitude hypoxia显示文摘Nitric oxide(NO) is an important molecule for vasomotor tone, and elevated NO signaling was previously hypothesized as a unique and adaptive physiological change in highland Tibetans. However, there has been lack of NO data from Tibetans living at low altitude and lowlander immigrants living at high altitude, which is crucial to test this hypothesis. Here, through cross-altitude(1990–5018 m) and cross-population(Tibetans and Han Chinese) analyses of serum NO metabolites(NOx) of 2086 individuals, we demonstrate that although Tibetans have a higher serum NOx level compared to lowlanders, Han Chinese immigrants living at high altitude show an even higher level than Tibetans. Consequently, our data contradict the previous proposal of increased NO signaling as the unique adaptive strategy in Tibetans.Instead, Tibetans have a relatively lower circulating NOx level at high altitude. This observation is further supported by data from the hypoxic experiments using human umbilical vein endothelial cells and gene knockout mice. No difference is detected between Tibetans and Han Chinese for endothelial nitric oxide synthase(e NOS), the key enzyme for circulating NO synthesis, suggesting that e NOS itself is unlikely to be the cause. We show that other NO synthesis-related genes(e.g. GCH1) carry Tibetan-enriched mutations significantly associated with the level of circulating NOx in Tibetans. 2Arc corrosion behavior of Cu-Ti_3AlC_2 composites in air atmosphere显示文摘The arc corrosion evolution of Cu-20 vol.% Ti_3 AlC_2 cathodes is presented here. After eroded by 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 kV DC voltage, respectively, the surface morphologies were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope with craters and protrusions. Compared to small craters and dense protrusions of the morphology by high voltage, the eroded surface was covered with bigger craters and sparse protrusions at low voltage. No crack was discovered on the surface even at 10 kV. By means of energy dispersive spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, the decomposition of Cu-20 vol.% Ti_3 AlC_2 cathode to CuO,Al__2 O_3 and TiO_2 were proved. Meanwhile, W anode is oxidized to WO_2. 3Effect of current polarity on electrical sliding wear behavior of Cu-WS_2-graphite-WS_2 nanotube composites in air and vacuum conditions显示文摘In this paper Cu-WS2-graphite-WS2nanotube composites were fabricated by powder metallurgy hot pressing method.The effect of current polarity on the wear rates and contact voltage drops of the composites were investigated using a brush-on-slip ring tribometer rubbing against Cu-5 wt.%Ag alloy ring in air and vacuum,respectively.The worn surfaces of the composites were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Surface profile curves of the worn tracks were measured using the surface profiler.The results demonstrated that the current polarity has a significant effect on the wear rates and contact voltage drops of the composites in both air and vacuum conditions.Positive brush possesses a higher wear rate compared with the negative brush in the air atmosphere since the electrical field direction activates oxidation at the positive brush surface while inhibits oxidation at the negative brush surface.Except for the regular wear losses,the combined effect of molten metal bridge erosion and arc erosion cause the positive brush to lose extra material and the negative brush to gain extra material,so the positive brush shows a higher wear rate in the vacuum condition.The contact voltage drop of the positive brush is lower than that of the negative brush in the air atmosphere,but contrarily,the positive brush shows a higher contact voltage drop in the vacuum condition.QIAN Gang FENG Yi CHEN FanYan LIU WenHong ZHANG XueBin LIU YanFang 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,11:5
4Effects of strain rates on dynamic deformation behavior of Cu-20Ag alloy显示文摘Copper alloy is widely used in high-speed railway,aerospace and other fields due to its excellent electrical conductivity and mechanical properties.High speed deformation and dynamic loading under impact load is a complex service condition,which widely exists in the field of national defense,military and industrial application.Therefore,the dynamic deformation behavior of the Cu-20Ag alloy was investigated by Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(SHPB)with the strain rates of 1000-25000 s^(-1),high-speed hydraulic servo material testing machine with the strain rates of 1-500 s^(-1).The effect of strain rate on flow stress and adiabatic shear sensitivity was analyzed.The results show that the increase of strain rate will increase the flow stress and critical strain,that is to say,the increase of strain rate will reduce the adiabatic shear sensitivity of the Cu-20Ag alloy.The Cu-Ag interface has obvious orientation relationship with;(111)_(Cu)//(111)_(Ag):(^(-)111)_(Cu)//(^(-)111)_(Ag):(^(-)200)_(Cu)//(^(-)200)_(Ag) and [0^(-)11]_(Cu)//[0^(-)11]_(Ag) with the increase of strain rate.The increase of strain rate promotes the precipitation of Ag and increases the number of interfaces in the microstructure,which hinders the movement of dislocations and improves the stress and yield strength of the Cu-20Ag alloy.The concentration and distribution density of dislocations and the precipitation of Ag were the main reasons improve the flow stress and yield strength of the Cu-20Ag alloy.Kexing Song Yongfeng Geng Yijie Ban Yi Zhang Zhou Li Xujun Mi Jun Cao Yanjun Zhou Xuebin Zhang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20:3
5Prior information based channel estimation for millimeter-wave massive MIMO vehicular communications in 5G and beyond显示文摘Millimeter wave(mm Wave) has been claimed as the viable solution for high-bandwidth vehicular communications in 5 G and beyond. To realize applications in future vehicular communications, it is important to take a robust mm Wave vehicular network into consideration. However, one challenge in such a network is that mm Wave should provide an ultra-fast and high-rate data exchange among vehicles or vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2 I). Moreover,traditional real-time channel estimation strategies are unavailable because vehicle mobility leads to a fast variation mm Wave channel. To overcome these issues, a channel estimation approach for mm Wave V2 I communications is proposed in this paper. Specifically, by considering a fast-moving vehicle secnario, a corresponding mathematical model for a fast time-varying channel is first established. Then, the temporal variation rule between the base station and each mobile user and the determined direction-of-arrival are used to predict the time-varying channel prior information(PI). Finally, by exploiting the PI and the characteristics of the channel, the time-varying channel is estimated. 9Size-induced effect on cathode luminescence spectra of CsI(Na) and CsI(Tl) crystals显示文摘We investigated the cathode luminescence characteristics of CsI(Na)and CsI(Tl)crystals by the spectrum and structure properties at room temperature.We fabricated three different sizes of CsI(Na)and CsI(Tl)crystals and measured their luminescence spectra under cathode rays.We found that CsI(Na)cathode luminescence peaks appear at 420 and 305 nm,and CsI(Tl)cathode luminescence peaks are 540 and 410 nm,the grain size affects CsI(Na)luminescence significantly,and the Na-related420 nm luminescence intensified relatively when the average grain size reaches^20μm,which becomes weak when the grain size is down to nano-scale.But the cathode luminescence spectra of CsI(Tl)crystals with different size have no obvious changes.Our explanations for these phenomena are that the different impurities in the same host material CsI lead to different luminescence mechanisms.These cathode luminescence characteristics indicate the suitability of CsI(Na)and CsI(Tl)crystals to match photomultiplier tube for large area crystal detector development.LIU Fang OUYANG XiaoPing LIU Bin LIU JinLiang CHEN Liang ZHANG ZhongBing ZHANG XueBin FENG Yi 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,9:1
