| 3 | Near-infrared fluorophores with absolute aggregation-caused quenching and negligible fluorescence re-illumination for in vivo bioimaging of nanocarriers显示文摘Environment-responsive fluorophores with aggregation-caused quenching(ACQ)properties have been applied to track nanocarriers with reduced artefacts caused by unbound or free fluorophores but suffer from incomplete fluorescence quenching and significant re-illumination,which undermine bioimaging accuracy.Herein,through structural modifications to reinforce the hydrophobicity,planarity and rigidity of fluorophores with an aza-BODIPY framework,probes featuring absolute ACQ(aACQ)and negligible re-illumination are developed and evaluated in various nanocarriers.aACQ probes,FD-B21 and FD-C7,exhibit near-infrared emission,high quantum yield,photostability,water sensitivity,and negligible re-illumination in blood,plasma and 1%Tween-80 in contrast to ACQ probe P2 and conventional probe DiR.All nanocarriers can be labeled efficiently by the tested fluorophores.Polymeric micelles(PMs)labeled by different aACQ probes manifest similar biodistribution patterns,which however differ from that of DiR-labeled PMs and could be ascribed to the appreciable re-illumination of DiR.Significantly lower re-illumination is also found in aACQ probes(2%-3%)than DiR(20%-40%)in Caco-2,Hela,and Raw264.7 cells.Molecular dynamics simulations unravel the molecular mechanisms behind aggregation and re-illumination,supporting the hypothesis of planarity dependency.It is concluded that aACQ fluorophores demonstrate excellent water sensitivity and negligible fluorescence re-illumination,making themselves useful tools for more accurate bioimaging of nanocarriers. | Yifan Cai Xin Ji Yunsen Zhang Chang Liu Zichen Zhang Yongjiu Lv Xiaochun Dong Haisheng He Jianping Qi Yi Lu Defang Ouyang Weili Zhao Wei Wu | 2023 | Aggregate2023,4,2: | 0 |

| 5 | Reflection-type surface lattice resonances in all-metal metasurfaces for refractive index sensing显示文摘Surface lattice resonance(SLR)is a pretty effective mechanism to realize ultranarrow linewidths in the spectrum.Herein,we propose and demonstrate reflection-type SLRs in all-metal metasurfaces experimentally,compared with the traditional transmission-type SLR,which can avoid the refractive index(RI)mismatch problem and are more suitable for high-efficiency RI sensing due to direct contact and strong light–matter interaction.The measured SLR linewidth is 13.5 nm influenced by the meta-atom size,which needs a compromise design to keep a balance between the narrow linewidth and noise immunity.Notably,the SLR sensitivity is determined by the lattice period along the polarization direction with regularity,which establishes an intuitive link between structures and optical responses and provides a theoretical guide for metasurface designs.Additionally,incident angle multiplexing will make the resonance wavelength red shift or blue shift in the case of orthogonal polarization.The rectangular array metasurface can realize dual SLRs with different sensing performances.Flexibly,the SLR can also be formed by the different meta-atoms and arrays.This research supports SLR multifarious applications involving not only RI sensing but also nonlinear optics,nano-lasers,etc. | LIYE LI YIFAN OUYANG LIJUN MA HONGSHUN SUN YUSA CHEN MEIZHANG WU ZHIMEI QI WENGANG WU | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,12: | 0 |

| 7 | Nanoparticles targeting at methylases with high correlation to N^(6)-methyladenosine-related lncRNA signatures as potential therapy of kidney clear cell carcinoma显示文摘Clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC)is a heterogeneous malignancy with poor prognosis.Methylation of the N^(6) position of adenosine(m^(6)A),the most common epigenetic modification in both messenger RNAs and noncoding RNAs,has been reported to regulate the initiation and progression of ccRCC.However,whether and how m^(6)A-related long noncoding RNAs(m^(6)ArlncRNAs)signify the progression of ccRCC remain unclear.We found m^(6)ArlncRNAs are effective signatures illustrating immune landscape and risk stratification in ccRCC.We identified two differently expressed m^(6)ArlncRNAs(DEm^(6)ArlncRNAs),AC008870.2 and EMX2OS,as independent risk factors for overall survival of ccRCC patients,by applying stringent variable selection procedure to data from the Cancer Genome Atlas Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma project.The risk score generated from the DEm^(6)ArlncRNA expression categorizes patients into either high or low-risk groups,between which,enrichment analysis indicated an enrichment in immune-related pathways.Under different DEm^(6)ArlncRNA transcription pattern,the two risk groups differ in immune cell population composition and expression levels of therapy targeting genes.Nanoparticle is satisfactory strategy to delivering therapeutic drugs.For further clinical translation,we designed a novel nanoparticle delivery system packaged STM2457(STM@8P4 NPs),which selectively inhibits AC008870.2-correlated m^(6)A writer.STM@8P4 NPs loaded drug successfully with uniform particle size,long-term stability and high release efficiency.STM@8P4 NPs can easily enter ccRCC cells and showed a highly efficient ccRCC killing activity in vitro.Our results therefore indicate that m^(6)ArlncRNAs expression can depict tumor microenvironment,predict prognosis for ccRCC patient and give hint to therapeutic strategies in ccRCC. | Ruixuan Chen Ping Ouyang Licong Su Xi Xu Penghu Lian Yanqin Li Qi Gao Yifan Zhang Sheng Nie Fan Luo Ruqi Xu Xiaodong Zhang Xiaoxi Li Yue Cao Peiyan Gao Juanjuan Kang Jun Wu Lu Li | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,10: | 0 |
