1Concentration of α-Linoleic Acid of Perilla Oil by Gradient Cooling Urea Inclusion显示文摘In this study, production of α-linoleic acid concentrated from crude perilla oil by gradient cooling urea inclusion was optimized. The fatty acid composition was determined after ethyl esterification by gas chromatography (GC). In this process, orthogonal experiment was carried out. Under optimum conditions, the maximum amount of α-linoleic acid (91.5%) was obtained at a urea to fatty acid ratio of 3, a solvent to fatty acids ratio of 7, a reaction temperature of 348 K and a crystallization time of 690 min. 2A proximal point algorithm revisit on the alternating direction method of multipliers显示文摘The alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)is a benchmark for solving convex programming problems with separable objective functions and linear constraints.In the literature it has been illustrated as an application of the proximal point algorithm(PPA)to the dual problem of the model under consideration.This paper shows that ADMM can also be regarded as an application of PPA to the primal model with a customized choice of the proximal parameter.This primal illustration of ADMM is thus complemental to its dual illustration in the literature.This PPA revisit on ADMM from the primal perspective also enables us to recover the generalized ADMM proposed by Eckstein and Bertsekas easily.A worst-case O(1/t)convergence rate in ergodic sense is established for a slight extension of Eckstein and Bertsekas’s generalized ADMM.CAI XingJu GU GuoYong HE BingSheng YUAN XiaoMing 2013Science China Mathematics2013,56,10:20
3New precut sphincterotomy for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in difficult biliary duct cannulation显示文摘AIM:To retrospectively investigate the effect and safety of various new type precut sphincterotomy techniques (VNTPST) in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreato-graphy (ERCP) due to difficult biliary duct cannulation (DBC). METHODS:A plough-like pull-type sphincterotome (PLPTS) or improved short nose sphincterotome or improved needle knife was applied. VNTPST was carried out in 30 of 280 patients,whose biliary tract could not be exposed well or deep cannulation was difficult to perform during ERCP with traditional methods. Patients were followed up for short-term complications and the therapeutic effect of VNTPS was observed and compared with that of traditional endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST). RESULTS:A total 280 patients underwent ERCP,of which 3 failed in operation because of pathological features in stomch or duodenum,247 successfully underwent traditional ERCP (89.1%,247/277),30 failed (10.8%,30/277). VNTPS technique succeeded in 24 (80%,24/30) of 30 cases. The successful rate of deep biliary duct cannulation increased 8.6% (24/277),the total cannulation successful rate following precut was 97.7%. There was a significant difference between the two groups (97.7% vs 89.1%,χ2 = 17.1,P < 0.01). The incidence of complications was 9.3% (26/277) for traditional ERCP group and 13.3% (4/30) for VNTPS technique group. Guideline tip was broken in pancreatic duct (KPDGP) of one patient,and there was no pancreatitis,slight or moderate bleeding postoperatively occurred in 2 patients,1 patient had bleeding during operation (PDWN). There were no differences between VNTPS technique group and traditional ERCP (TRERCP)group (13.3% vs 9.3%,χ2 = 0.478,P > 0.05). CONCLUSION:VNTPS procedure and Deng's precut are highly effective methods to get biliary access during ERCP with DBC. With skillful techniques,it can increase the successful rate for deep cannulation of biliary duct and decrease complications. VNTPS technique,especially Deng's precut is as effective and safe as EST. 4Bacterial flora concurrent with Helicobacter pylori in the stomach of patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases显示文摘AIM:To investigate the non-Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) bacterial flora concurrent with H.pylori infection.METHODS:A total of 103 gastric biopsy specimens from H.pylori positive patients were selected for bacterial culture.All the non-H.pylori bacterial isolates were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF MS).RESULTS:A total of 201 non-H.pylori bacterial isolates were cultivated from 67(65.0%) of the 103 gastric samples,including 153 isolates identified successfully at species level and 48 at genus level by MALDI-TOF MS.The dominant species were Streptococcus,Neisseria,Rothia and Staphylococcus,which differed from the predominantly acid resistant species reported previously in healthy volunteers.The prevalence of non-H.pylori bacteria was higher in non-ulcer dyspepsia group than in gastric ulcer group(100%vs 42.9%,P < 0.001).Six bacterial species with urease activity(Staphylococcus epidermidis,Staphylococcus warneri,Staphylococcus capitis,Staphylococcus aureus,Brevibacterium spp.and Klebsiella pneumoniae) were also isolated.CONCLUSION:There is a high prevalence of the non-H.pylori bacteria concurrent with H.pylori infection,and the non-H.pylori bacteria may also play important as-yet-undiscovered roles in the pathogenesis of stomach disorders.Yuan Hu Li-Hua He Di Xiao Guo-Dong Liu Yi-Xin Gu Xiao-Xia Tao Jian-Zhong Zhang 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,11:20

7The estimate of sea ice resources quantity in the Bohai Sea based on NOAA/AVHRR data显示文摘The research on sea ice resources is the academic base of sea ice exploitation in the Bohai Sea. According to the ice-water spectrum differences and the correlation between ice thickness and albedo, this paper comes up with a sea ice thickness inversion model based on the NOAA/AVHRR data. And then a sea ice resources quantity (SIQ) time series of Bohai Sea is established from 1987 to 2009. The results indicate that the average error of inversion sea ice thickness is below 30%. The maximum sea ice resources quantity is about 6 × 10 9 m 3 and the minimum is 1.3 × 10 9 m 3 . 13Single and competitive adsorption affinity of heavy metals toward peanut shell-derived biochar and its mechanisms in aqueous systems显示文摘Converting peanut shells into biochar by pyrolysis was considered an environmentally friendly and efficient method for agricultural solid waste disposal.The properties of peanut shell-derived biochar(PBC)under different temperature and its adsorption capacity of heavy metals were investigated.It was found that PBC400 exhibited the highest cumulative capability for heavy metals elimination in single solute because of its high specific surface area and rich functional groups.Furthermore,the competitive adsorption revealed that PBC had a substantial difference in adsorption affinity from diverse heavy metal ions,sorption capacity decreased as Pb2+>Cu2+>Cd2+>Ni2+>Zn2+,which was lower than in a single solute.The adsorption process using selected biochar was optimized with respect to p H,reaction time,adsorbent dose,and initial concentration of heavy metals.The kinetic data was well fitted with PSO model,and the Langmuir model was adopted for adsorption equilibrium data in both cases of single solutes and mixed solutes for all heavy metals,which indicated that the removal course was primarily explained by monolayer adsorption,and chemical adsorption occupied an important role.Therefore,peanut shells derived biochar could be a potential and green adsorbent for wastewater treatment.Rui Shan Yueyue Shi Jing Gu YazhuoWang Haoran Yuan 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,5:14
14Anti-inflammatory effects of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. male flower extract on lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation显示文摘Background:Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. is a medicinal plant native to China, with its bark (Eucommiae Cortex) traditionally being used for medicinal purposes. Previous research has shown that Eucommia male flowers can exert anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibacterial, and other pharmacological effects, including immune regulation. This study explored the anti-inflammatory effects of the 70% ethanol extract of male flowers (EF) of E. ulmoides in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells and LPS-administered mice.Methods:Cytotoxicity of EF for RAW 264.7 cells was investigated using Cell Counting Kit-8. The production of proinflammatory mediators, nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, and IL-6 was determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. IL-17, IL-23, and IL-10 mRNA levels were determined using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Activation of the nuclear factor (NF)-κB pathway in RAW 264.7 cells was investigated via Western blotting. In vivo antiinflammatory effects of EF were studied in an LPS-induced acute inflammation mouse model by analyzing lung tissue histopathology, serum TNF-α and IL-6 levels, and myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity in lung tissue.Results:EF showed no significant cytotoxicity at concentrations from 10 to 60 μg/mL (cell viability > 80%) in the CCK-8 cell viability assay. EF inhibited the RAW 264.7 cell proliferation (EF 60 μg/mL, 120 μg/mL, and 250 μg/mL vs. negative control: 87.31±2.39% vs. 100.00±2.50%, P=0.001;79.01±2.56 vs. 100.00±2.50%, P<0.001;and 64.83±2.50 vs. 100.00±2.50%, P<0.001), suppressed NO (EF 20 μg/mL and 30 μg/mL vs. LPS only, 288.81±38.01 vs. 447.68±19.07 μmol/L, P=0.004;and 158.80±45.14 vs. 447.68±19.07 μmol/L, P<0.001), TNF-α (LPS+EF vs. LPS only, 210.20±13.85 vs. 577.70±5.35 pg/mL, P<0.001), IL-1β (LPS+EF vs. LPS only, 193.30±10.80 vs. 411.03±42.28 pg/mL, P<0.001), and IL-6 (LPS+EF vs. LPS only, 149.67±11.60 vs. 524.80±6.24 pg/mL, P<0.001) secretion, and downregulated the mRNA expression of IL-17 (LPS+EF vs. LPS only, 0.23±0.02 vs. 0.43±0.12, P<0.001), IL-23 (LPS+EF vs. LPS only, 0.29±0.01 vs. 0.42±0.06, P=0.002), and IL-10 (LPS+EF vs. LPS only, 0.30±0.01 vs. 0.47±0.01, P=0.008) in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. EF inhibited the LPS-induced NF-κB p65 (LPS+EF 20 μg/mL and 30 μg/mL vs. LPS only: 0.78±0.06 vs. 1.17±0.08, P<0.001;and 0.90±0.06 vs. 1.17±0.08, P=0.002) and inhibitor of kappa B (IκBα) phosphorylation (LPS+EF 20 μg/mL and 30 μg/mL vs. LPS only: 0.25±0.01 vs. 0.63±0.03, P<0.001;and 0.31±0.01 vs. 0.63±0.03, P<0.001), LPS+EF 30 μg/mL inhibited IκB kinase (IKKα/β) phosphorylation (LPS+EF 30 μg/mL vs. LPS only, 1.12±0.14 vs. 1.71±0.25, P=0.002) in RAW 264.7 cells. Furthermore, EF 10 mg/kg and EF 20 mg/kg inhibited lung tissue inflammation in vivo and suppressed the serum TNF-α (LPS+EF 10 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg vs. LPS only, 199.99±186.49 vs. 527.90±263.93 pg/mL, P=0.001;and 260.56±175.83 vs. 527.90±263.93 pg/mL, P=0.005), and IL-6 (LPS+EF 10 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg vs. LPS only, 41.26±30.42 vs. 79.45±14.16 pg/ml, P=0.011;and 42.01±26.26 vs. 79.45±14.16 pg/mL, P=0.012) levels and MPO (LPS+EF 10 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg vs. LPS only, 3.19±1.78 vs. 5.39±1.51 U/g, P=0.004;and 3.32±1.57 vs. 5.39±1.51 U/g, P=0.006) activity in lung tissue.Conclusions:EF could effectively inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors and overactivation of neutrophils. 15A novel compound AB38b attenuates oxidative stress and ECM protein accumulation in kidneys of diabetic mice through modulation of Keap1/Nrf2 signaling显示文摘Extracellular matrix(ECM)deposition following reactive oxygen species(ROS)overproduction has a key role in diabetic nephropathy(DN),thus,antioxidant therapy is considered as a promising strategy for treating DN.Here,we investigated the therapeutic effects of AB38b,a novel syntheticα,β-unsaturated ketone compound,on the oxidative stress(OS)and ECM accumulation in type 2 diabetes mice,and tried to clarify the mechanisms underlying the effects in high glucose(HG,30 mM)-treated mouse glomerular mesangial cells(GMCs).Type 2 diabetes model was established in mice with high-fat diet feeding combined with streptozocin intraperitoneal administration.The diabetic mice were then treated with AB38b(10,20,40 mg·kg^?1·d^?1,ig)or a positive control drug resveratrol(40 mg·kg^?1·d^?1,ig)for 8 weeks.We showed that administration of AB38b or resveratrol prevented the increases in malondialdehyde level,lactate dehydrogenase release,and laminin and type IV collagen deposition in the diabetic kidney.Simultaneously,AB38b or resveratrol markedly lowered the level of Keap1,accompanied by evident activation of Nrf2 signaling in the diabetic kidney.The underlying mechanisms of antioxidant effect of AB38b were explored in HG-treated mouse GMCs.AB38b(2.5?10μM)or resveratrol(10μM)significantly alleviated OS and ECM accumulation in HG-treated GMCs.Furthermore,AB38b or resveratrol treatment effectively activated Nrf2 signaling by inhibiting Keap1 expression without affecting the interaction between Keap1 and Nrf2.Besides,AB38b treatment effectively suppressed the ubiquitination of Nrf2.Taken together,this study demonstrates that AB38b ameliorates experimental DN through antioxidation and modulation of Keap1/Nrf2 signaling pathway.Lei Du Lei Wang Bo Wang Jin Wang Meng Hao Yi-bing Chen Xi-zhi Li Yuan Li Yan-fei Jiang Cheng-cheng Li Hao Yang Xiao-ke Gu Xiao-xing Yin Qian Lu 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,3:13

17Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 18PBX3 promotes migration and invasion of colorectal cancer cells via activation of MAPK/ERK signaling pathway显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of pre-B-cell leukemia homeobox(PBX)3 in migration and invasion of colorectal cancer(CRC)cells.METHODS:We detected PBX3 expression in five cell lines and surgical specimens from 111 patients with CRC using real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.We forced expression of PBX3 in low metastatic HT-29 and SW480 cells and knocked down expression of PBX3 in highly metastatic LOVO and HCT-8 cells.Wound healing and Boyden chamber assays were used to detect cell migration and invasionafter altered expression of PBX3.Western blot was performed to detect the change of signaling molecule ERK1/2 following PBX3 overexpression.RESULTS:High level of PBX3 expression was correlated with the invasive potential of CRC cells,and significantly associated with lymph node invasion(P=0.02),distant metastasis(P=0.04),advanced TNM stage(P=0.03)and poor overall survival of patients(P<0.05).Ectopic expression of PBX3 in low metastatic cells was shown to promote migration and invasion,while inhibited PBX3 expression in highly metastatic cells suppressed migration and invasion.Furthermore,upregulation of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)1/2 was found to be one of the targeted molecules responsible for PBX3-induced CRC cell migration and invasion.CONCLUSION:PBX3 induces invasion and metastasis of CRC cells partially through activation of the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway.Hai-Bo Han Jin Gu Deng-Bo Ji Zhao-Wei Li Yuan Zhang Wei Zhao Li-Min Wang Zhi-Qian Zhang 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,48:12
19Loss of BRCA1 expression leads to worse survival in patients with gastric carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To investigate the expression deficiency of key molecular markers in the homologous recombination pathway. METHODS: Expression loss of breast cancer type 1 susceptibility protein (BRCA1), ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM), ATM-Rad3-related (ATR), mediator of DNA damage checkpoint protein 1 (MDC1) and meiotic recombination 11 (Mre11) were correlated with their clinicopathological parameters in gastric cancer (GC). One hundred and twenty treatment-naive GC samples were formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded into tissue blocks. Two representative cores from each block were extracted and constructed into tissue microarrays. Expression levels of BRCA1, ATM, ATR, MDC1 and Mre11 were determined using immunohistochemical analysis, and correlated with clinical parameters, including age, gender, Lauren subtype, tumor grades, clinical stage and overall survival.RESULTS: Expression loss of BRCA1, ATM, ATR, MDC1, and Mre11 was found in 21.4%, 20.2%, 21.0%, 11.1% and 4.6%, respectively, of interpretable cases. BRCA1 loss was significantly associated with patients of diffused subtype (intestinal vs diffused, 8.2% vs 31.7%, P = 0.001), higher tumor grade (Ⅰ/Ⅱ vs Ⅲ, 10.7% vs 20.5;Ⅰ/Ⅱ vs Ⅳ, 10.7% vs 54.5%, P = 0.047) and advanced clinical stage (Ⅰ/Ⅱ vs Ⅲ, 12.9% vs 16.9%;Ⅰ /Ⅱ vs Ⅳ, 12.9% vs 45.5%, P = 0.006). MDC1 loss was significantly associated with patients of diffused subtype (intestinal vs diffused, 0% vs 19.7%, P = 0.001) and higher tumor grade (Ⅰ/Ⅱ vs Ⅲ, 0% vs 12%;Ⅰ/Ⅱ vs Ⅳ, 0% vs 30.8%, P = 0.012). In addition, the survival time of the patients with expression loss of BRCA1 was significantly shorter than those with positive expression of BRCA1 (2-year survival rate, 32.4% vs 62.8%, P = 0.015). No correlations were found between clinicopathological parameters and expression loss of ATM, ATR and Mre11. CONCLUSION: Our results support the hypothesis that homologous recombination deficiency plays an important role in the progression of gastric carcinoma. 20Recent development of a refined multiple air pollutant emission inventory of vehicles in the Central Plains of China显示文摘Central Plains region of China,represented by Henan Province,is facing serious air pollution problems.Vehicular exhaust emissions had adverse impacts on the atmospheric environment.The first comprehensive and novel vehicle emission inventory for Henan Province using vehicle kilometers traveled,localized emission factors,and activity data at city-level was developed.Furthermore,3 km×3 km gridded emission and temporal variations were determined by using localized information.Results show that the total emissions of sulfur dioxide(SO2),nitrogen oxides(NOx),carbon monoxide(CO),particular matter with aerodynamic diameter<10μm(PM10),aerodynamic diameter<2.5μm(PM2.5),volatile organic compounds(VOCs),VOCs-evaporation and ammonia in 2015 were 9.1,533.4,1190.7,23.7,21.6,150.8,31.5 and 10.4 Gg,respectively,and the emission intensities of the above pollutants were 0.05,2.7,6.0,0.1,0.1,0.8,0.2 and 0.05 g/km,respectively.Vehicles meeting the Primary China 1,China 3 and China 4 contributed 89.1%,82.7%,75.3%,75.5%,75.5%,68.2%,68.4%and 82.3%for SO2,NOx,CO,PM10,PM2.5,VOCs,VOCs-evaporation and ammonia emissions,respectively.Zhengzhou,Zhoukou,Nanyang,Luoyang,Shangqiu and Xinyang showed relatively higher emissions and contributed more than 50%of each pollutant.The spatial distribution indicated obvious characteristics of the road network,and high-level emission was concentrated in the downtown areas.Additionally,the ozone formation potential(OFP)based on the estimated speciated VOC emissions was 569.6 Gg in Henan Province.Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons were the main species of VOCs,whereas olefins contributed the largest proportion of OFP,with 42.2%.Xingke Gu Shasha Yin Xuan Lu Huan Zhang Lingling Wang Ling Bai Chen Wang Ruiqin Zhang Minghao Yuan 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:11
