| 1 | Coal and gas outburst dynamic system显示文摘Coal and gas outburst is an extremely complex dynamic disaster in coal mine production process which will damage casualties and equipment facilities, and disorder the ventilation system by suddenly ejecting a great amount of coal and gas into roadway or working face. This paper analyzed the interaction among the three essential elements of coal and gas outburst dynamic system. A stress-seepage-damage coupling model was established which can be used to simulate the evolution of the dynamical system, and then the size scale of coal and gas outburst dynamical system was investigated. Results show that the dynamical system is consisted of three essential elements, coal-gas medium(material basis), geology dynamic environment(internal motivation) and mining disturbance(external motivation). On the case of C13 coal seam in Panyi Mine, the dynamical system exists in the range of 8–12 m in front of advancing face. The size scale will be larger where there are large geologic structures. | 2 | Characteristics of China’s oil and gas pool formation in latest geological history显示文摘The structural activities took place extensively in the Asia continent during the Cenozoic era owing to the strong continent-to-continent collision and continuous compression between the India Plate and the Eurasia Plate. Huang Jiqing called such structural activities Himalayan movement. China’s sedimentary basins developed and took shape mainly during the Himalayan movement period. It is also the main period for formation and development of the oil and gas reservoirs. Of 366 large and medium-sized oil and gas fields currently found in China, 212 reservoirs were formed in the Neo- gene-Quaternary period. The proportion is as high as 68.2%. The oil and gas migration and accumu- lation in the latest geological period, which were controlled by the times, properties, styles and strength of the Himalayan movement, took place mainly in eight regions, such as the low uplift area of Bohai Sea, the onshore faulted sag area of Bohai Bay, anticlinorium zone in Daqing, the foreland fold-and-thrust belt in West China, the tilted structural zone in West China, the cratonic palaeohigh in the Tarim Basin, the zone of fault and fold belt in the East Sichuan Basin, and the biological gas zone in the East Qaidam Basin. The oil and gas pool formations in those regions have their own charac- teristics. | 3 | Tectonic types and evolution of Ordovician proto-type basins in the Tarim region显示文摘The Ordovician system is an important target for exploration in the Tarim Basin. Restoration of the Ordovician tectono-depositional environment is a key basis for the study of the structural development history in Tarim block and the prediction of the favorable Ordovician reservoir belts (zones). Based on the surrounding tectonic settings, the litho-facies and sedimentary fill, the palaeo-geography, palaeoclimate and palaeo-ecology, and the structural deformation and magmatic eruptions, in this paper we combine the sedimentary fill in the basin with the development of the surrounding orogenic belts and re-build the proto-type basins of the different Ordovician periods. During the Ordovician period, the Tarim region was characterized by the composite of the interior cratonic depression with the peripheral cratonic depression. The interior cratonic depression in the central and western parts is mainly the depositional area of the platform facies while the peripheral cratonic depression in the eastern part is mainly the zone of deepwater basin facies, with the slope acting as the transition belt between them. During the Late Ordovician period, the closure of the Northern Kunlun Ocean and destruction of the trencharc-basin system in the Altyn Tagh region put the southern part of the Tarim block under compression and uplifting and turned the central and western parts of the carbonate platform into the mixed depositional continental shelf. The eastern region of the basin had the over-compensated flysch sedimentation with huge thickness, marking the drastic turn of the basin nature. | 4 | HY5-HDA9 Module Transcriptionally Regulates Plant Autophagy in Response to Light-to-Dark Conversion and Nitrogen Starvation显示文摘Light is arguably one of the most important environmental factors that determines virtually all aspects of plant growth and development,but the molecular link between light signaling and the autophagy pathway has not been elucidated in plants.In this study,we demonstrate that autophagy is activated during light-to-dark conversion though transcriptional upregulation of autophagy-related genes(ATGs).We showed that depletion of the ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(HY5),a key component of light signaling,leads to enhanced autophagy activity and resistance to extended darkness and nitrogen starvation treatments,contributing to higher expression oiATGs.HY5 interacts with and recruits HISTONE DEACETYLASE 9(HDA9)to ATG5 and ATG8e loci to repress their expression by deacetylation of the Lys9 and Lys27 of histone 3.Furthermore,we found that both darkness and nitrogen depletion induce the degradation of HY5 via 26S proteasome and the concomitant disassociation of HDA9 from ATG5 and ATG8e loci,leading to their depression and thereby activated autophagy.Genetic analysis further confirmed that HY5 and HDA9 act synergistically and function upstream of the autophagy pathway.Collectively,our study unveils a previously unknown transcriptional and epigenetic network that regulates autophagy in response to light-to-dark conversion and nitrogen starvation in plants. | Chao Yang Wenjin Shen Lianming Yang Yun Sun Xibao Li Minyi Lai Juan Wei Chaojun Wang Yingchao Xu Faqiang Li Shan Liang Chengwei Yang Shangwei Zhong Ming Luo Caiji Gao | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,3: | 8 |
| 5 | Overexpressed BRH1, a RING finger gene, alters rosette leaf shape in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Leaves are the most important plant parts for photosynthesis and respiration. Many genes are involved in determining leaf shape;however, little is known about the effects of brassinosteroid (BR) signaling-pathway genes on the development of leaf shape. Here, the brassinosteroid-responsive RING-H2 (BRH1) gene, which is suppressed by 24-epi-brassinolide treatment, was isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana. The amino acid sequence contained a highly conserved RING finger domain. In a phylogenetic analysis,BRH1 clustered closely with GLYMA11G02470.1. The leaves of brh1 mutant plants were not much different to those of the wild-type, while transgenic plants with high BRH1 expression levels had rounder rosette leaves. Mutants of the BR synthesis pathway also had a similar round leaf phenotype, and greater BRH1 expression levels. Moreover, the related marker genes KNAT1,AtHB13 and ROT4, which are known to control leaf shape, altered transcriptional levels in both transgenic BRH1 and BR-synthesis mutant lines. Thus, BRH1 may be involved in the BR signaling pathway and regulate the growth and development of rosette leaves. | 6 | Peripheral Lymphocyte Subsets as a Marker of Parkinson's Disease in a Chinese Population显示文摘In this study, we conducted a clinical analysis of lymphocyte subtypes in 268 patients with Parkinson's disease(PD) to assess their clinical impact as a potential marker of advanced PD in Chinese patients. The participants comprised 268 sporadic PD patients and 268 healthy controls. The numbers of natural killer(NK) cells and CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, and CD19+ lymphocytes from peripheral blood were determined by immunostaining and flow cytometric analysis and the percentages of these CD+ T cells were calculated. The ratio of regulatory T(Treg)/helper T 17(Th17) lymphocytes from 64 PD patients and 46 controls was determined by flow cytometric analysis.The results showed that the percentage of NK cells was higher in advanced PD patients than in controls(22.92% ±10.08% versus 19.76% ± 10.09%, P = 0.006), while CD3+ T cells are decreased(62.93% ± 9.27% versus65.75% ± 9.13%, P = 0.005). The percentage of CD19+B cells in male patients was lower(P = 0.021) than in female patients, whereas NK cells were increased(P \ 0.0001). The scores on the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS) and the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale in late-onset PD patients were significantly higher than those in earlyonset patients(P = 0.024 and P = 0.007, respectively). The percentage of CD19+ B cells in patients with UPDRS scores[24 was lower than in those with scores \24(10.17% ±4.19% versus 12.22% ± 5.39%, P = 0.009). In addition, the Treg/Th17 ratio in female patients was higher than that in female controls(13.88 ± 6.32 versus 9.94 ± 4.06, P =0.042). | 8 | Structure and deformation measurements of shallow overburden during top coal caving longwall mining显示文摘Mining induced pressures are strong and overburden failure areas are large in top coal caving longwall mining, which constrains high production and safety mining. By employing the combination of the full view borehole photography technique and the seismic CT scanner technique, the deformation and failure of overlying strata of fully mechanized caving face in shallow coal seam were studied and the failure development of overburden was determined. Results show that the full view borehole photography can reveal the characteristics of strata, and the seismic CT scanner can reflect the characteristics of strata between the boreholes. The combined measurement technique can effectively determine the height of fractured and caved zones. The top end of the caved zone in Yangwangou coal mine employing the top coal caving longwall mining was at the depth of 171 m and fractured zone was at the depth of 106-110 m. | 10 | Prediction of VIGS efficiency by the Sfold program and its reliability analysis in Gossypium hirsutum显示文摘Genetic transformation in some plant species,including cotton(Gossypium hirsutum), is hampered by laborious and time-consuming processes and often unachievable. Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS) by double-stranded RNAs can serve as a reverse-genetics tool to determine gene function. However, knockdown levels vary greatly when using a tobacco rattle virus-based vector that carries different c DNA fragments of a gene. How to choose the optional target fragment for high interference efficiency is very challenging. Addressing this challenge requires increasing the efficacy of small interference RNA(si RNA) in target fragment. Here, we describe a method to assess VIGS efficiency by comparing the following parameters of si RNA in target sequence: the disruption energy of the target(DGdisruption), the differential stability of si RNA duplex ends(DSSE), and the internal stability at positions 9–14 of the si RNA antisense strand(AIS), which are calculated by Sfold program(http://gffzz01a2382fbe924301h0w9pfpv0on5b6ncx.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn). We find that the si RNAs with low DGdisruption, high DSSE and high AIS have high activity and easily result in high VIGS efficiency by experimentally testing the actual knockdown levels of the four target genes, Gh PDS,Gh CLA1, Gh AOS1, and Gh CXE1 via choosing different target sequences for each gene. | 12 | Ultralarge Rabi splitting and broadband strong coupling in a spherical hyperbolic metamaterial cavity显示文摘Strong coupling(SC) between two resonant plasmon modes can result in the formation of new hybrid modes exhibiting Rabi splitting with strong energy exchange at the nanoscale. However, normal Rabi splitting is often limited to ~50–320 me V due to the short lifetime of the plasmon mode. Here, we theoretically demonstrate a record Rabi splitting energy as large as 805 me V arising from the SC between the high-Q plasmonic whispering gallery mode and high-Q cavity plasmon resonance supported by a spherical hyperbolic metamaterial cavity,which consists of a dielectric nanosphere core wrapped in 7 alternating layers of silver/dielectric materials.In addition, the new hybrid modes formed by the SC are shown to exhibit an extralong lifetime of up to 71.9–81.6 fs, with the large electric field intensity enhancement at both the dielectric core and the dielectric layers. More importantly, the spectral ranges of SC can be tuned across an ultrabroad range from the visible to the near-IR by simply changing the dielectric core size.
