1Collagen-binding basic fibroblast growth factor improves functional remodeling of scarred endometrium in uterine infertile women: a pilot study显示文摘Intrauterine adhesion(IUA) is a common cause of uterine infertility and one of the most severe clinical features is endometrial fibrosis namely endometrial scarring for which there are few cures currently. Blocked angiogenesis is the main pathological change in the scarred endometrium. The fibroblast growth factor 2(b FGF), a member of FGF family, is usually applied to promote healing of refractory ulcer and contributes to angiogenesis of tissues. In this study, the sustained-release system of b FGF100 μg was administrated around scarred endometrium guiding by ultrasound every 4 weeks in 18 patients(2–4 times). Results showed that after treatment, the menstrual blood volume, endometrial thickness and the scarred endometrial area were improved.Histological study showed blood vessel density increased obviously. Three patients(3/18) achieved pregnancy over 20 gestational weeks. 2Identification of novel cis-elements bound by BplMYB46 involved in abiotic stress responses and secondary wall deposition显示文摘Transcription factors(TFs)play vital roles in various biological processes by binding to cis-acting elements to control expressions of their target genes.The MYB TF BplMYB46,from Betula platyphylla,is involved in abiotic stress responses and secondary wall deposition.In the present study,we used a TF-centered yeast onehybrid technology(TF-centered Y1H)to identify the cisacting elements bound by BplMYB46.We screened a shortinsert random library and identified three cis-elements bound by BplMYB46:an E-box(CA(A/T/C)(A/G/C)TG)and two novel motifs,a TC-box(T(G/A)TCG(C/G))and a GT-box(A(G/T)T(A/C)GT(T/G)C).Chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP)and effector-reporter coexpression assays in Nicotiana tabacum confirmed binding of BplMYB46 to the TC-box,GT-box,and E-box motifs in the promoters of the phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL),peroxidase(POD),and superoxide dismutase(SOD)genes,which function in abiotic stress tolerance and secondary wall biosynthesis.This finding improves our understanding of potential regulatory mechanisms in the response to abiotic stress and secondary wall deposition of BplMYB46 in B.platyphylla.Huiyan Guo Liuqiang Wang Chuanping Yang Yiming Zhang Chunrui Zhang Chao Wang 2018Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,10:7

7Thixotropic composite hydrogels based on agarose and inorganic hybrid gellants显示文摘Water can be used as oxidant in conjunction with metal particles to form metal-water propellant to increase the energy of propellant.For this application,water needs to be stored in form of solid and capable of becoming liquid when use.Stable and thixotropic hydrogel has good potential as water-retaining material and oxidant of metal-based propellant.In this study,we prepared organic/inorganic composite hydrogels by combining inorganic gellants hectorite and fumed silica with organic gellant agarose,respectively.The total content of the gellants can be reduced to less than 2%by adding agarose.The influence of agarose on water content,phase transition temperature,centrifugal stability and other basic physical properties of composite hydrogels were discussed.The results show that the composite hydrogels have better thixotropy and stability than pure inorganic hydrogels,and the gel-sol transformation can be realized by applying shear force or heating to the phase transition temperature.The composite hydrogels have good shear thinning ability and improved mechanical stability.Fumed silica/agarose hydrogels have better physical stability,while the thixotropy and shear thinning ability of hectorite/agarose hydrogels are better.Hongzhi Zhang Huiyan Guo Yang Liu Chengxiang Shi Lun Pan Xiangwen Zhang Ji-Jun Zou 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,54,2:1
8Molecularly engineered tumor acidity-responsive plant toxin gelonin for safe and efficient cancer therapy显示文摘Due to the unsatisfactory therapeutic efficacy and inexorable side effects of small molecule antineoplastic agents,extensive efforts have been devoted to the development of more potent macromolecular agents with highspecificity.Gelonin is a plant-derived protein toxin that exhibits robust antitumor effect via inactivating ribosomesand inhibiting protein synthesis.Nonetheless,its poor internalization ability to tumor cells has compromisedthe therapeutic promise of gelonin.In this study,a tumor acidity-responsive intracellular protein deliverysystem-functional gelonin(Trx-pHLIP-Gelonin,TpG)composed of a thioredoxin(Trx)tag,a pH low insertionpeptide(pHLIP)and gelonin,was designed and obtained by genetic recombination technique for the first time.TpG could effectively enter into tumor cells under weakly acidic conditions and markedly suppress tumor cellproliferation via triggering cell apoptosis and inhibiting protein synthesis.Most importantly,treatment byintravenous injection into subcutaneous SKOV3 solid tumors in a mouse model showed that TpG was much moreeffective than gelonin in curtailing tumor growth rates with negligible toxicity.Collectively,our present worksuggests that the tumor acidity-targeted delivery manner endowed by pHLIP offers a new avenue for efficientdelivery of other bioactive substances to acidic diseased tissues.Guo-Bin Ding Chenchen Zhu Qian Wang Huiyan Cao Bin-Chun Li Peng Yang Roland H.Stauber Guangjun Nie Zhuoyu Li 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,12:1

14Design and experimental validation of improved grapevine burying machine显示文摘In order to address the low soil breaking rate,poor soil covering performance,and low working efficiency of the existing 3MT-1.8 and PMT-75 grapevine burying machines,two types of improved burying machines,namely the 3MTLJ-1.8 and 3MTXP-1.8,were developed in consideration of the local Ningxia soil conditions.Field experimental results indicated that the soil breaking rate of the 3MTLJ-1.8 machine was 71.44%,and its soil sampling volume increased by approximately 30%compared to that of the 3MT-1.8 machine.It was verified that the self-developed 3MTLJ-1.8 machine can be used in the southern regions of Ningxia.Furthermore,the soil sampling volume of the 3MTXP-1.8 burying machine was 0.24 m^(3)/m,and its soil breaking rate increased by more than 41.42%compared to the standard required volume.The 3MTXP-1.8 machine can be used in the northern areas of Ningxia,where the soil hardness is higher.The results can provide a reference for the development and popularization of grapevine burying machines in Ningxia.Shuming Yang Huiyan She Shuchuan Yang Xuejun Zhu Yun Chen Jinhai Li Maoqiang Li 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2:1

20Impacts of Sand and Dust Storms on Regional Economy Based on Stochastic CGE Model : A Case Study in Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to study the impacts of sand and dust storms(SDS)on regional economy.[Methods]In this paper,we combined the computable general equilibrium(CGE)model and the Monte Carlo method to examine the impact of SDS on the regional economy,with a focus on GDP,price index,employment rate,industrial structure and output,income and expenditure.We extended the standard CGE model,introduced the stochastic parameters into the production module,which had significant impact on economic output,and inserted the rate of change of the total labor supply and the expenditure share of early warning and protective measures into the income and expenditure module.[Results]SDS had significant impacts on regional GDP,employment rate,and industrial output from a macro perspective,and can reduce the income of residents and enterprises and increase expenditures from a micro perspective.The impact can be reduced by taking early warning and protective measures.[Conclusions]The protective measures taken for different grades of SDS have different effects.Xinjiletu YANG Yanwei YUE Weihong HAN Huiyan YIN Chunyan MAO 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,11:0
